I do love Sobeys even though they are always more expensive than the other grocery stores. The only thing is that now that they have people at the doors to make sure you sanitize it is often weird and uncomfortable because so many just stand there and stare at you and don't even say hello or motion to you were the sanitizer is located. Makes your entire shopping experience start out lacking.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I do not recommend this store to anyone who has anxiety or anyone who just doesn't like rudeness. . On two occasions, this store's employees have been extremely rude and impatient to me and people I was with. First occasion: I was shopping for baking products, and an ex friend of mine was with me. I paid my things and stood by waiting, when my ex friend said "Oh, hold on where's my wallet?" and kindly asked them to hold the purchase while they re-traced their steps in the store. I stood at the end of the checkout, and not even a minute after, Just as my ex friend walks out of sight, the cashier calls another worker over and they both make rude remarks about the situation and cancel the entire thing. Nothing I said or asked could stop them. I left with my groceries and the person with me left with nothing all because staff are incredibly rude. Second occasion: I was keeping my mother company while she did the groceries, and she had borrowed my grandmother's new bank card. My Grandmother had to get a new one because someone had taken pictures of it and withdraw-ed 100's of money. Anyway, because of that she couldn't remember the new code, and asked if they could hold the groceries so she could call her mom for the code. The worker started canceling the groceries while my mom was standing right in front of her, with the phone ringing against her ear. My mother kept urging them to stop and that she was getting the code, and right as the workers began taking the items to return them my mom put the code into the card reader. This call didn't even take 2 minutes. That's how fast and rude these workers can be. I'm only giving one star because I like the selection of cheeses they have, and the wide selection of pet treats and meat products they have. If they didn't have good products, trust me, this would be a 0 star rating.

Buy your beer here and you can collect air miles. Has everything you need. Slightly higher prices on most things. Always has at least one Express checkout open. Also. They have dill crispers. Those new to the crisper game will be shocked to know gold is easier to find than dill crispers.

The store is well stocked although I was looking for watermelon and they didn't have any, despite the large watermelon display. The layout is a bit odd, with specialty aisles blocking access to the meat and dairy sections - the back of the store. It's well lit, prices are reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. That's a maritime charm if you will.
