Watson kind of business is this I've come here 3 different times at various times of the day when they say they r supposed to b open and surprise they're closed guess they don't really need the business it's too bad cause I'm new to Barrie and was looking forward to trying their food but I'll never try again

Went in today for a slice, the guy servening me dropped it on the floor , only gave me another slice because he saw that I seen him drop it , but instead of garbagein it he put it on top of the oven possibly to sell it to someone else , I'll definitely not ever go back , plus the actual slice tasted horrible

When you first walk in you'll be greeted by the smells of authentic home cooked Italian food, then you'll be greeted by someone named Joe. I'm not sure how this works, but they're all named Joe there. Order whatever you want, it's all good. If you're a pizza aficionado, let it be known that Mondo's humbly serves the best pizza in Barrie by the slice. If a veal sandwich is your thing, well... You can stop looking around, this place serves the holy grail of veal sandwiches. The only catch is that you have to go to them, as all good things should be. I'm just another customer, spreading the word about good local eats in Barrie. This place is a gem. Namaste.

We went to eat at Mondo's today and expected to have a real nice veal cutlet sandwich and never was so disappointed before with a sandwich such as this was. The veal had no taste, was stale, dry, burnt at the end, the bun was also burnt, not enough sauce, would never go back there again or recommend this place to anybody!!!!! We were sharpening our mouths to have a great sandwich, but found out differently, a real disappointment!!!!! This is not the kind of veal cutlet sandwich we had in North York and that was delicious!!!!!!

Have tried the veal sandwich with all the fixings on two occasions. The veal was great, the bun was the right texture and flavourful. Had the rotini once - the pasta was overcooked for my liking and found the sauce to be just OK. I will be back here I'm sure though.

I recently attended an event that was catered by Mondos and the food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was so good that our entire group went quiet while eating. This is not an easy accomplishment, but is an excellent compliment to the quality of the food provided. I will highly recommend Mondos to anyone who asks!

I had driven past this place for years, never knowing about it due to the lack of signage. It's in a little strip plaza at a high vehicle traffic intersection, on the outskirts of Barrie. If it wasn't for the fact that I now work in the area and looked up nearby restaurants on TripAdvisor, I wouldn't even have gone. That being said, I think the veal sandwich I had there was outstanding. The sauce had just the right amount of heat, and the veal cutlets were still tender and slightly crispy even though it was the end of lunch and they were sitting on a steam table. The bread was the real overwhelming winner, the crust was thin and perfectly crispy, with a soft, fluffy, buttery interior that practically melted. Hands down, best bread I've ever had. I will definitely be visiting this establishment again.

Hard working owner, makes a veal sandwich just like I used to eat In toronto. Comes with mushrooms, peppers , cheese etc no extra cost. Spaghetti and meatballs are great. Pizza is great. Have come here for years. Support your local businesses. Have a great lunch with lots of change left from a $20.

Very good sauces, flavours and general food. Very nice owner who obviously has a lot of regulars. However I did 100% watch him take 5 orders, taking cash and giving back change and straight to preparing the next meal. I’m a tiny bit of a germaphobe but I literally watched him take a $5.00 from a customer and go straight to preparing my food (which he had to touch the garlic bread and veal sandwich to cut them) without washing hands. This has always been a no no and even though I’m not overly worried of covid and more the thought of all the nasty stuff that’s on a bill.

Everything from the veal, bun, sauce and toppings are the best. I have had veal sandwiches at other places and it’s chewy and the buns are terrible. Excellent price and great portions. The lasagna is fantastic too. Overall, everything is nice. Love this place. I highly recommended this place.
