A great experience at the Firehouse in Barrie I am already a fan, but it was a first visit for my adult nephew. Only criticism is that service was slow at dinner hour. Clearly business is booming for them.

Beef brisket sub was amazing I really enjoyed eating it ... serving is huge 2 people could split the 1 sub. Eachsub cutt into 4 pieces each will feed 4 people a good size portion . If you order 2 subs you can feed 8 people and still have a good size portion ... can be expensive but I am sure that they have subs that are cheaper.. mine came to 38$ for the 2 beef brisket subs and 2 pops. Would eat here again and maybe try something else

Food was not ready at pickup time and when my husband asked to used bathroom they said No but proceeded to ask if he wanted to donate $4 on top of the $30+ we paid to first responders but he wasn’t allowed to use the washroom. Sort of contradicting. Instead of funding first responder pay someone to sanitize your washrooms regularly as janitorial and sanitation is also considered first responders they keep everything clean so that you can conduct a proper business instead to f violating a human right to use a bathroom.

Great food, huge portions and the staff are overwhelmingly pleasant to deal with. We had someone assist us with every step in the process and really enjoyed our first trip here. The only complaint we had was some of the subs were very salty which took away the flavour of the sandwich. Would highly recommend the meatball sub which was prepared perfectly. If you have an opportunity too definitely try these guys out as they seem to have got a lot of things right.

Really awesome subs. Full or goodness.fills you up! Only problem was they are more focused on getting the subs ready for the let's eat app etc etc.. but when there are 4 people patiently waiting inside the store and have driven all the way there they should be first to be served!!! Come on now.

Came here for the first time today with my girlfriend and she ordered a large Smokehouse Beef&Cheddar Brisket and I ordered a medium New York Steamer. These were FANTASTIC!! Made me want to order another one after devouring the first. A little more pricey than Subway but soooo soooo worth it. Highly recommend!!

The service is always bad, always waiting forever for your sandwich even when you order ahead. Employees are usually rude, and no communication when your sandwich is ready. Quite annoying, but its the only one for a long shot. Foods still good, but hate the service.

Customer service here is deplorable. You can stand there for quite a long time before anyone pays any attention to you. There can be as many as 6 staff working at any time, yet they'll have conversations among themselves at the expense of customers. The last two times I paid them a visit, I gave up after waiting a long time and went elsewhere.

I’ve been to a few other franchise stores and they don’t cut it. The Barrie location is a winner every time. They don’t cut corners and just do it right A-Z. Considering I always come to that location from Toronto when heading north should say something. Favourites... Hook n Ladder, Meatball, Steak n Cheese and Brisket, enjoy ????????

Listen, firehouse subs is great. But this one is probably understaffed or way too disorganized. Messed up my order as well as my girlfriends in months past. Even if I was a fireman I wouldnt order from this location again.

Best sub I’ve ever had! Hands down! The cashier was kind, we gave our cell number and waited in the car, and went back in when our order was ready. You have to try the chicken, bacon ranch sub and the beef and cheese brisket! I think I’ve found my new favourite restaurant for food on the go! Another thing is that the subs are given in a to go container, making it so much easier to eat than other sub restaurants! Each 12 inch was around $12-13 I believe - well worth it!

Okay, so here’s the deal, this place is amazing, friendly staff, fresh food, and everyone was super helpful. Most of the negative reviews here are because people come in without a mask and when they’re asked to leave, they get mad. Totally not fair, these are people that deserve to be safe just as much as you and me.

The subs are very delicious. I have been three times so far. The waiting time for your order to be made is very long. Not fast like other sandwich shops. There was 7 people making sandwiches, 2 customers were waiting before me and it still took 22mins (I kept time) to make 3 sandwiches. Good food, slow service.

Great food, I love the subs especially the steak and cheese. Only problem is by 12 noon it is so busy that it’s not worth waiting that long for a sandwich, we tried calling in to pre order but they didn’t want to start making the sandwich by till we were in the store, doesn’t make sense to me , I’m trying to save time so I can get back to work . We did manage to sole the problem because I have become a regular customer .

These are the best subs! They take a few mins to prepare so I find it convenient to call my order in (especially during Covid). The taste is incredible and a regular-sized sub fills me up. Good value for the freshness and tastiness. My favourite sub is the Turkey Bacon Ranch!

I ordered the Club on a Sub and it was delicious! The bun was perfectly toasted and was really flavourful. The multiple meats worked perfectly together and the bacon had a nice smokey flavour. The vegetables were hearty. The staff were very friendly and the store had a nice feel to it. Will definitely be returning soon!

Only one word can describe how I feel about Firehouse Subs... OBSESSED. I used to be a big Subway fan, I would go there probably about once or twice a week. After trying Firehouse Subs even once I realized how subpar Subway is compared to Firehouse. When you first walk into Firehouse your usually always greeted with a nice "Welcome to Firehouse!" The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming to make any adjustments to any of there large variety of different subs. My favourite by far is the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket. The meat is cooked perfectly, the cheese is melted nicely and their amazing bun is like biting into a soft bagel. The only thing that I have to say is I often ask for extra barbecue sauce because I simply cannot get enough of it! I would love for a location to be added to the South End making me want to go there even more!

Food 10/10 we got the Meatball and Hero and they were 2 of the best subs we ever ate! Get the sweet & spicy sauce on the meatball! Service 10/10 very courteous staff and doing a good job with covid protocols It’s a few more bucks than Subway but totally worth it!

Today we purchased 3 subs for our family. 2 large and one regular. Both my son and I ate ours and my husband started his after us. I noticed he was not eating his and he didn't want us to get upset or feel sick as his bread was covered in mold. After contacting the store we were asked to come back, the gentleman working at the store stated that is how the bread is baked and denied the GREEN mold. Offered a refund of 1/2 a sub due to 1/4 of it being eaten. Absolutely disgusted in the way it was handled and hope that both myself and my son will not get sick and ours did not have any.

The sub I had here was amazing. I had a medium New York Steamer and it was love at first bite! The cost is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. The staff was really friendly and accurare with our orders. We didn't have to wait long for our subs. We were given a number and they brought the food right to the table. They even followed up while we were eating to see how everything was. The place is very clean. We will definitely be going back

No onions!!! Why are there onions?! First time ordering. Not impressed. Sandwich was meh. Half and gave the other half to my hubs. waited 45 min. Way too much sauce tho like dripping wet and soggy. Pickle came in a plastic bag and was soggy.

I would like to give this place a better review. The food is excellent, a little pricier than other fast food joints but worth it for the quality, and I've always found the staff quite friendly. However, they keep giving me the wrong order. I usually get The New York Steamer on white with sauteed onions added on. Twice they gave me my sandwich but with mushrooms instead of onions and on another occasion they gave me a completely different order. I usually don't notice until I leave the parking lot and the food is always good enough that I don't care that much. But I shouldn't have to check my order before I drive away, especially when they repeat my order back to me before they put it in. I will continue to come here and I will hope in the future they can correct this issue.

Staff at this location are great, very helpful and very well mannered. The lady before me wad being a absolute witch asking for her sub to be a salad then freaking out because they got charged for a salad! The staff were very polite with her despite the lady being quite rude to them. The subs are amazing too!

Today I ordered a veggie sub as one of the cashier working there is my good friend and she suggested me to have a sub. I am really very disappointed as I found a hair inside the sub which came in mouth. In this serious situation the employees working there are really not taking proper precautions and are Putting people’s lives in danger. I will never suggest someone to go this place. “YOU GUYS DESTROYED MY DINNER!!!!!”

The cashier was rude to us. We were the first time customers so we didn’t really know what we wanted. She kept pushing us to order it quick. Once we ordered, she didn’t even help other coworker to make food and just went to the back and sat there. So we had to wait 10mins to get two subs which was not a good experience as the first time customer at the restaurant.

So go in to no greeting whatsoever but while I'm waiting outside I hear them greet each and every customer after me. This is just the beginning so buckle in. Order and I'm told they have no pickles, now for a place that does subs and pickles this would be like saying we have no bread, it doesn't make sense to me. So then Husandeep takes my order and tells me to wait outside due to covid I look around and there is 2 other people in the store. I respect it because covid is no joke. So as I stand outside I see 2-3 skip the dishes people go in, they don't get told to wait outside or anything. I notice the sign in my picture on the door that says they will bring your order out when ready. I then notice 6-7 more people enter the store and not one of them is told to wait outside. So 15 minutes go by nothing.....the store has more people in it then I went in so I respect the rules and stay outside. 30 mins nothing. Everyone that has been inside has been looked after and new people have been inside as well as delivery driver. 43 glorious minutes later I'm asked what the name was on my order and I'm told it's ready. I'm told sorry for the wait...........sorry for the wait???????? These are your rules you have in place with covid and have posted on your signs. I'm not offered anything for the mix up or inconvenience and I take my overpriced and leave. I was going to ask them to remake them but at this point I just want to have some dinner as its 45 minutes after ordering a sub. To no one's surprise the sub is very underwhelming, bread is extremely soggy. That's what happens when I get home and eat it 73 minutes after placing my order. If they tell you to wait outside and they are remotely busy which they weren't in this case don't because they don't have a system in place. Or I guess you have to poke your head in and check every 5 mins because it's on you and not on them. Won't be back for anymore overpriced subs thank YOU for your kind support and understanding.

Gave 2 stars because as a whole I enjoy the Firehouse Subs brand and what they represent. This location is atrocious though. Once again, I ordered ahead online tonight for a future timed pick up. When I arrived I was told it would be another 5-10 minutes. 17 minutes after my scheduled pick up time, I finally got my order. 25 minutes to get home only to discover that the extra bacon we paid for, and in big, bold letters on their order chit was completely missed. Very disappointed in both the service and quality at this location.

If your looking for something other then subway or mr. sub (plain Jane approach) this place is the bomb !!! Chicken gyro sub shouldn’t come off the menu. Change that from limited time to always !!! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. Terrible service, rude associates. We ordered our food in store, drove home only to find out they gave us someone else's order. So we drove back 20 minutes to the restaurant, and once we told them about the mix up they blamed us because they mistakenly gave us an order under the same name. But they blamed us for purposely taking the wrong order, and that because of us they had to remake the other order. Absolutely terrible experience and customer service, will never be back.

Wow. These subs are good. I hesitated ever stopping in due to advertised prices seeming extremely high for a sub. Stopped in and got my boss a meatball sub and I got steak and cheese. The steak and cheese was pretty good, nice meat and very amazingly soft bun. However all I could smell on the drive back was my boss’s meatball sub. I don’t even like meatballs subs or sandwich’s usually. However I just had to go back the next day and get the meatball. I’m honestly at a loss of words. I didn’t think you could get quality meat and flavour from a sub or sandwich. Especially not from a fast food place. The meat they use for meatballs is very very nice and the spices and flavours of the sauce are unreal. I’m in total love with this meatball sub. The presentation was also pretty cool. Wish they had some specials or could find a way to make a tiny bit more affordable. Meatball sub at subway is $8 and this one is $12.00. Due to the inconvenience of only one firehouse location, it would be wise to try and be somewhat comparable like maybe 10-11 so people feel it’s worth a 20 minute drive. I think driving past 5 subways and mr subs to go pay that much more money and time. The quality and flavour is definitely worth it every now and then but I’d be eating this everyday if the footling was $10.00

Great subs. Servers are always polite but very un organized. We go to the one in Barrie Ontario. They need to set it up where they have one person dealing with online orders and delivery service providers and that person should organize 2 associates to build those orders only. Then another associate to deal with walk in orders and direct 2 other associates to build those orders. That is not how they do it here. It is a free for all with one person on cash and 5 people randomly filling orders and dealing with the online orders. This is how it is every time we go. Wait time is always over 20 minute's way too long for a sub shop

I had the NY steamer with jalapenos, chopped pickles and hot sauce. It was the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Very satisfying. Kind of expensive but well worth it. Staff are friendly, but it seems like they are forced to say "welcome to firehouse" in unison whenever a customer walks in.

Love the subs, just not sure why I never get the cheese on mine. Third time on Thursday. I even mentioned it when I ordered and she said she would make sure it was on my sub.....nope....no cheese again. We live an hour and a half away so nice treat for us, if we get what we accualy order. Maybe I will check my sub before leaving now. Wont look good to other customers, but I want what I pay for.

My family and I were on our way back home to Whitby last night from a friend's cottage up North and decided to pick up some food to eat when we got back home. I wanted to order the Firehouse Hero but it has ham on it and I don't eat pork because of religious reasons. I told the guy taking my order this and asked if instead of ham if I could get more turkey or roast beef and he suggested the Engineer Co because it only had roast beef and turkey, so I ordered it. Fast forward to about an hour and a half later, which was about 10:30 pm when we got home and I sat down to enjoy my sub. I took a bite of it and it tasted kind of funny. I looked inside and there were 3 kinds of meat, turkey, roast beef and ham. Spit out my bite and threw threw the sub in the garbage. To say the least I was not pleased about this. I couldn't go back and have them fix my order as it was too far and late. I have eaten at several Firehouse Subs in Canada and the US and was a big fan. This experience has caused me to re-evaluate my patronage going forward to Firehouse Subs.

It is so good. My first time having a sandwich. I inquired about a franchise. Yes, that good. It was my first time having firehouse subs last month. I have probably gone about 15x now. Every single time it is perfection. Our order have never been made incorrectly. Great service. I absolutely love the unique wall murals and your get to pay it forward to first responder’s. Went there today for father's day dinner with a friend and we both had the corporate coupon for father's day ( buy a sub, chips and drink and get a free med sub) great put my through and paid and I was going to pay for my friend BUT the staff said no it was a fake coupon ( the coupon is not numbered and is available by email, Instagram or on there Facebook page). To have the supervisor call the over who tells us that corporation doesn't help them! Whatever you need to deal with your head office and fulfilling the coupon! They didn't and we let and went elsewhere for dinner! FIREHOUSE SUBS THIS A FAIL!! Also asked the supervisor for the head office number and she told me she can't give it out!! FAIL!!

I first saw an ad for this sub chain while i Florida and dint get a chance to visit any location. To my surprise I saw a store in Barrie. Today I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Italian so I can compare it to the Italian at Subway and the assorted at Mr. Sub. The sandwich was excellent and was delivered to your table after you place the order at the counter.. It was flavourful without that manufactured meat taste you get at Subway. The bread was fresh and did not overwhelm the sandwich as it does at Subway. If you like hot sauce you will love their selection. The decor was colourful and very welcoming. The store was clean and the staff very friendly. I would highly recommend you give Firehouse a try. You wont be disappointed. I intend to go back and try as many of the different sandwiches ad I can. Stay tuned for the reviews of different sandwiches. Meanwhile, you wont be disappointed with the Italian.
