I am horrified with our experience with Farmhouse Catering. We hired them to cater our wedding this July 2021 and not only was some of the food inedible (uncooked rice, ice cold food), the events coordinator was rude to the venue hosts on two separate occasions, she did not fill out her contractual responsibilities that were promised, food was not what was discussed nor served as discussed and a majority of our guests were not served their entire meal. Many guests were skipped in being served their meal, with some having to wait 45 mins for their vegetarian plate -after everyone else at the table had been served. Most guests were not served the entire meal-they only got one or two items from the menu. It came down to we paid for a meal where guests were not served solely due to the incompetent planning of Farmhouse Catering. After our wedding I emailed them asking very politely what happened and that if it were my business, I would want to know what happened. The manager responded that she’d handle it immediately, and a zoom call was set up. That zoom call was canceled at the exact time that it was supposed to happed and then this proceeded to happen two more times. I never once asked for money reimbursed but I questioned being charged a gratuity when there was zero service. She sent me an etransfer claiming it was 20% but it wasn’t even 10% on any of the totals. Then she said she would reimburse the entire bill (I had not asked for this. This was her decision because as she stated several times they messed up & this would be her way of making it right) and then after another minute-of zoom cancelation she responded that instead of anything- I would be able to plan another micro-wedding and they would compensate that bill. I am incredibly insulted-after 16 months of planning a wedding through a pandemic, they want me to plan another one. I also caught the manager in lie after lie -all in the same breath- trying to save face. I was horrified with our meal, and guests were left hungry (even though there were leftovers) because they weren’t served their food but this customer experience afterwards, when they admitted they made a lot of mistakes that night is completely inappropriate. It’s been over a month now waiting to hear from the owner (who cancels our zoom call each time minute of). I have been nothing but polite and patient with Farmhouse Catering, but but their lack of disregard to customer experience and customer service afterwards in handling their mistakes, is an unforgivable solace. I would not recommend Farmhouse Catering for any event. If this had been handled appropriately afterwards, it would have been fine-I would still be upset that we paid for a meal where guests were not fed- but how they have handled their business afterwards has been a huge let down.
