This company was used for a wedding o was in recently. They ran out of salad dressing before the last 5 tables got food. It was supposed to be bacon wrapped chicken and there was no bacon except for display that the brides children were told they couldn't have. The staff was frumpy and looked unhappy to be there. Service was required to be paid I full including gratituity therefore nothing was stopping the staff and company from providing a terrible service. Would not suggest them as a catering company for you wedding.

The only reason I'm giving this a one star is because the food that we got tasted pretty decent. But overall, the experience we have had with Personal Touch Catering has been extremely disappointing. My husband and I got married on September 21, and as a cool experience for our guests, we had wanted to have a food truck serve poutine as our late night snack. Living in Edmonton and planning an Ontario wedding isn't easy so we had reached out to Personal Touch last summer to ensure we booked early. We had been excited to hear, via email, that the portable deep fryers they had were booked but that the food truck we wanted was available for our weekend. They sent us an estimate outlining the costs for the poutine truck, gave us a (fairly vague) contract to fill out, and by the Fall had paid for the service in full. Fast forward to September 4th - we get an email from them stating that there due to an over sight on their end, they had booked the food truck out to a festival on our wedding weekend. They told us when they reviewed the contract, the pricing we had been quoted was for the poutine from their portable deep fryers and nowhere did it say that we had booked the food truck (despite the actual estimate and several emails stating that we wanted the food truck and them replying it was available). After some back and forth conveying our frustration and disappointment in this very last minute change, they offered us a $100 refund for the inconvenience. The night of the wedding, our primary caterer assured us they had been in contact with Personal Touch and that arrangements had been made for Personal Touch to call them so they could bring down their pulled pork to put on the poutine. Everyone had already been served when we realized the pulled pork hadn't arrived. We tried to not be too disappointed because at least our guests had gotten food. We contacted them October 15th about the refund which we hadn't yet received and were told that it would be looked into, as they had thought the etransfer had been organized already. November 3rd we checked in again with no response. November 9th we email again and finally get an answer that a cheque had been reissued and should arrive soon. Living in Edmonton, we usually give mail from Ontario 7-10 days to arrive, and it's now been almost a month and we still havent received a cheque. At this point, we are beyond frustrated and don't know if we will ever get the refund. I would not recommend them to cater an event again.

Personal Touch Catering, catered our wedding dinner October 2021. -They were great about rescheduling to 2021 after we had to post pone in 2020 due to pandemic and they were good about adjusting our quotes/payments as our numbers changed. -I felt like I asked a lot of questions via emails, I’d suggest the first quote be more informative to what it exactly includes (wine glasses? Water or other drinks? Salt and pepper? Etc.) -I asked to customize the wedding package we chose to our liking and they allowed that and I made sure on every new quote it said the proper menu items. -Unfortunately the company did mix up, and we did not end up actually being served the items we had ordered. We ordered Caesar salad, we were served spring mix salad. We ordered garlic mashed potatoes, we were served roasted potatoes. The vegetables were correct, and the chicken was correct! Regardless we didn’t get the items we ordered, dinner was still pretty good tasting, the chicken was the best part & I definitely recommend the breaded chicken! The staff were friendly and the dinnerware was nice!

I used Personal Touch Catering for my wedding and my goodness, they went above and beyond our expectations. We chose to have it buffet style, which worked out well. There was even enough left over once all the tables had been "served" that they offered seconds to anyone who wanted them! We had their food truck as our late night option and it was a huge hit! I'm still getting compliments from my guests about how awesome the food was! Cannot go wrong using them to cater any event! Would highly recommend.

I’ve worked with personal touch on numerous occasions and have always found them to be as professional, friendly and excellent at delivering exactly what you need! The food is always hot, high quality and delicious (especially the food truck ???? that poutine is to DIE for!). Honestly, don’t bother looking elsewhere, if you’re reading this you’ve already found the caterer you never knew you needed. Keep on doing the good work you do guys!

We had personal touch cater horderves for our wedding, was extremely unhappy with it all, had many complaints from ours guest. I called and left a message expressing our disappointments and did not receive a courtesy call back. I will never recommend using them for these reasons.

We hired April and her team for our wedding on June 8th and it was absolutely perfect!! Katie, their coordinator, was so lovely to work with and she ensured everything ran smoothly up until the very end. I had many guests with rare allergies, including brothers who are anaphylactic to dairy, and April made every single accommodation!! I am so beyond thankful for her. We went with a family style dinner, which served chicken supreme, garlic potatoes, beans, salad, and dinner rolls. We also had coffee and a food truck for later - everyone thought this was such a nice touch. We also had a vegan/vegetarian option, which was a big hit! All of the servers offered seconds to guests and they were so thrilled. I did a lot of research before hiring Personal touch, and they were by far the most affordable for the quality. They are a big reason why my day went so perfectly and I am forever grateful for the entire team. I 100% recommend Personal Touch for all of your catering needs!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Oxoxo

Personal Touch catered our outdoor wedding in August (on one of the hottest days of the year) and we've received nothing but complements on the food. The late night pouting truck was by far a favorite. The service was amazing, they even put up with our free range chickens! Highly reccomend!

I have been at 2 events that have been catered by Personal Touch. Both meals were delicious and staff were friendly and approachable. Love that they have different food options to accommodate any style of event from informal (pizza and poutine) to formal (prime rib and apricot chicken). No complaints on either meal from anyone at our table :)

We can’t thank Kevin & April and their team enough for catering our wedding this July. We had to move the date due to the restrictions and they were beyond accommodating. They were always so helpful and friendly and helped us customize our menu to get exactly what we wanted. April arranged for our cake also which was very convenient as we didn’t have any ideas where to go! The food was delicious!!! Despite a torrential down pour and the staff having to cook under an umbrella outside everything was amazing! The vintage dishes were gorgeous! The staff was so kind and friendly despite the horrendous weather they delivered a wonderful meal and the late night poutine was a tremendous hit! (Still being talked about months later) We had our wedding about an hour away from Peterborough at an old barn and they were more than accommodating with this!! The prices were excellent and I’d say some of the best around in terms of the amount of food and quality we got. We also had the opportunity to stop by their banquet hall and would also highly recommend it for a wedding or function it is beautiful and very large with tons of options to host a dream wedding or event. Overall we had a fantastic experience with Personal Touch they are wonderful people who truly just want to make your wedding magical. We can’t thank Kevin & April enough for helping to make our wedding perfect!!! We would highly recommend them!!!

This was part of an email I sent to this company after my wedding and received no response. Very disappointed and I think they are trying to do too much. Many of our guests have commented on the catering since I had written this email, and the feedback is the same unfortunately. “It was my understanding that family style meant that the food would be left on the table for our guests to eat and have more if they were still hungry, however, the platters were removed from the tables right away and many of our guests commented that they were not done and there was still lots of food left on the platters that were taken away. A couple of our guests also commented that your staff was seen eating much of the food that had been taken from the tables. This is very disappointing as we had been told that we had run out of food but this didn't seem to be the case - your staff was eating while our guests were still hungry. Many of the bowls of pulled pork were taken away from the tables almost full! It was brought to my attention that you had said that family style meant that people could choose one meat or the other however, it was from our conversations that there would be enough food for guests to have sample some of each. Perhaps, cutting the chicken breasts into smaller pieces would have helped this situation but I wanted to let you know that this was very frustrating. Furthermore, it was brought to our attention at the end of the evening that our vendors did not get fed. Further to our conversations, it was my understanding that the staff of Northview (Rose, David, and Nigel) would be fed by Personal Touch and that there would be no charge for that. However, that I would need to pay for our photographers and our DJ Shawn Hurd. I included both our photographers and Shawn in our numbers and while our photographers did get fed because they were at a table, there was no food left for Shawn to eat. This is again very disappointing especially considering the previous concerns that I have mentioned regarding the food and staff. Another disappointment was the fact that a severe allergy on behalf of one of our guests was voiced and your reception was that there would be a completely separate chicken breast for her that contained no dairy. It was not a lactose intolerance problem but rather a severe allergy to both dairy and gluten - while I appreciate that you took steps to scrape out a chicken breast to remove the filling, our guest ended up very sick that evening and the next day as well. I had given my father a list of where the children would be sitting for their plates, as well as had included the allergy and which table she would be at and emphasized it in this note. This note was given to Katie and it is evident that no attention was paid to this which I find very frustrating as we care about our guests and their health and I was under the understanding that I had nothing to worry about and that it would be taken seriously, which was not the case. Finally, I overestimated on the amount of guests that we would have in attendance and it amounted to 5 people that did not show up that we did pay for and that should have been accounted for regarding amounts of food that were served. Instead of having extra food, there was a lack of food and I find this very frustrating as we hadfunded 5 extra people that were not even there the day of and many of our guests complained of being hungry. I was mortified when a table was delayed being served and even then did not have enough chicken. I was more than happy to give them the remaining chicken we had and I assumed that perhaps it would be taken to the kitchen to be heated up or something along those lines, however, instead it was taken right from our head table to the guest table, after having sat out for at least 10 minutes. Overall, I was very pleased with all of the vendors we had chosen for our big day and while you and your staff were very pleasant on the day of, I am very disappointed in ouroverall experience with Personal Touch."

We paid over 2000 for appetizers at our wedding. The “shrimp shooters” were in a plastic cup and were still frozen with ice on them, the meatballs weren’t very warm and the “chicken cups” had no chicken in them? also ordered “fruit kabobs” which were basically 4 pieces of fruit stuck on a tooth pic. The servers were very nlce but the food was horrible and very cheap looking. Especially for the price!!

Wow! What an absolutely great company to work with! Even with the crazy wind storm we had the night before the wedding, to not having power, it couldn’t have been better! The food was amazing all my guest have raved about the French fry truck! Just perfect!
