Food in Motion packed up a lovely picnic meal for our anniversary dinner by the lake. The calypso salad that accompanied the grilled shrimp and scallops paired perfectly—and really added a kick! We also loved the charcuterie board —a delicious assortment of cheese, meat and grilled vegetables :)

My wife and I were celebrating our 14 year anniversary recently and since we weren't yet comfortable dining in a restaurant we needed a catered picnic to take to the park. I called John and explained this and he asked me what types of things we liked. I gave him some ideas and he said not to worry he would put something together. Long story short, he put together a great mix of seafood, charcuterie, vegetables etc that was absolutely perfect. He was responsive, professional and very easy to deal with. I would highly recommend Food In Motion to anyone looking for delicious food from a company that truly cares about quality and the client.

Had the privilege of meeting Johnny at Mike Food In Motion yesterday. I picked up some of the tastiest beef stalk I’ve ever had! Every good soup starts with a solid stalk, and my Tortilla Soup was a real hit with my lady. Happy lady, happy life ????‍???? ⭐️ I also picked up an Eggplant Parm which we can’t wait to devour! We ordered 2 buffalo chicken sandwiches, 2 burgers and a small potato salad. The sandwiches and burgers were $10 each so we expected a decent size. We did not get that. The burgers were tiny. We were not impressed with anything from this place. We really wanted to help support this business but we were very disappointed with serving size and quality of we received.

John and his team catered for my wedding. In short, food was good, everything else was poor. Just over a week before wedding, he told us that the venue does not have on-site kitchen, so we have to pay over $1000 to have the food served. This was very disappointing because we repeatedly requested that they do a site visit/contact venue person months before the wedding. On the day of, the food was also not ready by the agreed time, and the food started coming out in very small batches, so most of our guests had to wait a long time before eating anything.

Ordered some food for a grand opening at one of our new sites. John was great to work with, explained what I was looking for, for how many people and my budget and he actually came in about $250 under budget which was a really nice surprise. Their gourmet sandwich option is fantastic. We had roast beef, chicken and roasted vegetable sandwiches and they were exceptional - especially for a catered event. We also got a bunch of charcuterie plates and focaccia. The carcuter plates were a huge hit and a real surprise with the care and display that went in to making them a) pretty and b) delicious. The meats were better than just grocery store stuff and the plate came with things like smoked apricots (delicious), dates, olives, prosciutto, serrano ham (I think) and lots of delicious cheeses. Overall, the catering went over extraordinarily well with people making a bunch of comments about how good the sandwiches were especially. All of this and the food was ready when they said it would be, and they came in under budget. We're definitely using these guys again for all of our events that need catering in the future. Kudos.

I would like to say THANK YOU for making my wedding perfect! The most important thing for my husband and I was the food and it was amazing! All of my guests were raving about the food and they couldn’t believe how timely each course was plated and served. The venue we chose didn’t have a kitchen onsite but John ensured he was able to rent the equipment needed to make it happen! I was impressed with how patient John and his team was with me. (I’m sorry about ALL of the site visits) but I will forever be grateful for you and will recommend you to all family and friends for any type of event.

I DJed at a wedding & Food In Motion catered the wedding. I was told by the Bride & Groom that because I was the DJ, I would have to make a separate order. The Bride & Groom graciously reached out to me & let me pick whatever I wanted on the menu. I ordered the Salmon with a side of Rapini & York Potatoes. The wedding guests were also being served salmon, which seemed perfectly cooked (as some of my friends attended the wedding and I can attest that the pictures look lovely). I, on the alternative, was served Salmon that was COMPLETELY raw. Not undercooked, not medium rare - it was dangerously raw. I have attached a photo for reference. I felt like a complete after thought, like, because I was the DJ (and not an invited guest) that my food plate/quality did not matter...in fact, anyone can slap a piece of raw Salmon on a plate. I'm sure this was not an intentional choice, but I can't see how any cook who actually cares about the quality control, their reputation, or basic human safety, would ever serve that to a customer...regardless of what guest they are. I actually went hungry that night because the Bride & Groom are friends of mine - and the last thing I wanted to do was add an extra layer of complexity & stress to their perfect day. I wrote this review to make you aware that you need to do better. This was not only irritating & hurtful, but it could've very well been harmful, if I HAD attempted to eat my "dinner". Potatoes & veggies were cooked - so that was a plus...

The chefs created delicious servings. The servers were attentive to guests and were mindful of food restrictions. We had some inclement weather and they still made it work without skipping a beat. We ordered the large turkey dinner for Thanksgiving and it was so good!! Juicy, huge portion of sides too...stuffing was so good and the gravy too. Made our holiday a breeze. Considering it for Christmas now. Definitely recommend!!

Janet, John and the rest of the team took care of me, plain and simple! I had over one dozen out-of-town and well-traveled International lawyer guests (Ireland, Spain, Austria, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay, USA, etc.,), plus some local friends at my home for a private dinner. The challenge was finding and delivering an appealing menu for such a varied group and the team delivered! Everyone enjoyed the meal and service very much. As the host, I really appreciated and was quite impressed with how easy they made it for me, from setup to the casual cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres, to the seated dinner to coffee/tea/dessert service and finally to clean-up, everything was well-organized, well done and easy (for me)! Will definitely call again (and next time it will be on more than just one week's notice, I promise!) for the next event. I have and will recommend to friends.

I was trying to support local business and decided to order from here after seeing some reviews. So far my first experience ordering from food in motion hasn’t been good. Ordered a holiday item in the menu via email. I was told there’s availability on a certain date and replied okay with the date. No further response on time etc. other than the online email to make a payment next and it provided the time. Since I was Okay with the time I went ahead and made the payment. On day of pick up no one was there because its not actually opened, so I called, not sure if he’s the owner he said stepped out but coming back quick. The lasagna I was picking up was supposed to be cooked but it wasn’t and for the price it was small and doesn’t feed the 4-6 if they were adults I would say 4 was the max it would feed. Since I didn’t want to come back I waited, I was offered to have it dropped off later warmed up and then was offered instructions to just heat it up myself. Disappointed in the service although he was nice. Considering I put an order through, no one was there and then it wasn’t even cooked, no explanation to why or some other alternative to fix the bad experience.

FIM catered an event in our home two years ago. The food was spectacular and John and his staff are the nicest people. Just tried the Irish Salmon and lasagna from the takeout menu and both were yummy.
