We can’t say enough amazing positive things about O’Malleys Catering from the moment you call/email you are taken care of! The food is absolutely amazing wether you are buying fresh dinner packages or frozen meats the quality is top notch! Emidio and Karen have put measures into place to make you feel extremely safe during COVID-19, in order for you to shop with them. Their kerbside pick up service is fantastic and so easy to use right from the start. I’m pretty sure my way of grocery shopping has changed for good!! We have used Omalleys Catering for years and will continue to use them! The customer service and products are outstanding!

I couldn’t rave more highly about O’Malley’s for both the quality of their food and their overall service. They catered our wedding on Friday and I had nothing but glowing reviews from every single guest. Food was amazing- “best steak I’ve ever had” was a direct quote. But more importantly the staff was amazing. I received multiple comments from parents with kids at the kids table saying the wait staff was constantly tending to the kids table and making sure their waters were refilled. Something easily forgotten was a priority for them and that is SO appreciated. 10/5 stars for sure!

We used O'Malley's Catering for our recent wedding at Holland Marsh Wineries. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed at the poor quality of service, miss on a specific dietary meal request (as discussed months prior), overcooked fish meal(s) and lack of attention to detail. We had a great experience with Karen prior to our wedding, but the day-of execution fell very short. I hope it was just an off day for them, however, it was a costly letdown and felt like it could have been avoidable if there was more care involved.

Thank you Emidio and the O'Malleys team for an amazing job on our wedding at Holland Marsh Wineries just a few weeks ago. Emidio was a pleasure to work with during the whole planning process! He was very accommodating to all my requests/changes and my many many questions via email. They were able and willing to set up our table settings a few days before the ceremony so that I was able to go in and finish up all my decor needs the day before the ceremony. The food was absolutely delicious and was complimented by a number of my guests - even those who typically don't enjoy "wedding" food. Overall a wonderful experience and I would recommend his services to everyone! Thank you again!

If I could give them zero stars I would. The food was terrible and overcooked (tasted like it was microwaved). The service was even more terrible, took forever, and the by the time we had our food it was cold and no longer edible. If you want a good wedding or event, steer clear from this place.

O'Malley's recently catered our wedding, and we were so happy with their service. They were easy to work with leading up to the wedding, and answered all of our questions. They were able to adjust menu items to accommodate dietary restrictions. Our package included cake cutting/serving service. However, we chose to have buttertarts instead of cake, and they were happy to tray the buttertarts for us instead at no extra cost. The food was delicious with very generous portions, and we got a lot of positive feedback from our guests! The service was also professional and efficient. We were even informed by a diabetic guest that the serving staff went above and beyond by providing her with a coffee early in the evening before tea/coffee service had begun. O'Malleys was less expensive than most caterers we looked at, but it was one of the best meals we've ever had at a any wedding!

Purchased food for a corporate event, food delivered on time. Good suggestion from O'Malleys that we over ordered and noted it would be better to downsize which we did and still had plenty left over. Although they did not have any halal options or vegetarian gravy, those who were able to enjoy did.

O'Malley's catered my parents 40th wedding anniversary, and I could not be happier with the service they provided. Putting together the anniversary party was a stressful time, so it was great that I could have all my catering and rental needs supplied by one place. From my first consultation, Chef Emidio and his staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us pick our venue, St Elizabeth Seton Hall. And we decided on a buffet style dinner, serving slow roasted sirloin and roasted herb chicken. The event staff took care of everything, so I never had to stress and could enjoy the anniversary with my parents and family. My family wanted this occasion to be special, and O'Malley's delivered, my parents anniversary was a truly memorable experience.

O'Malley's catered my wedding at Madsen's garden in Newmarket on Oct 27 2018. The food was fantastic we choose the basic buffet package which was more than enough food for us. They did a free tasting for us and made adjustments to their sauces to meet our needs ex. Offered a maple glazed salmon, made their pri pri chicken spicier. On our wedding day the servers were amazing offered to bring the bride and groom food to our table. They cut and served our cake and checked up on us just the right amount. The only two criticisms I have is that the salmon was over cooked (beef and chicken were excellent) and desert was served before we could announce it, some guests and myself missed out. Overall still a 5 star experience!

Their food is always delicious whether its for an office party, BBQ or a wedding for 200+ people they always deliver exactly what you expect. Spectacular to say the least! The staff was amazing and friendly and so efficient with time. Dinner wasn’t scheduled until after 6, and one of the ladies came to me to inform me she had prepared a plate early to give to our 3 year old daughter. For the buffet, set up was smooth, and take down was invisible. There was plenty of food to call up for seconds, and full of flavour! I am so grateful to have hired such an amazing team. I can’t thank you all for enough for making this past weekend so incredible. I had people coming to me hours later raving about their meals. You guys rock!!!

1. Communication - Though their staff is very nice they take a very long time to respond to emails and return calls. Be prepared to follow up with them frequently for a response to any form of communication. 2. Customer Service - Given the circumstances of the time I was required to reduce my wedding to 10 people the week before the event. Having already paid for my event in full O’Malley’s Catering was willing to reduce the services provided but did not fairly adjust their pricing. I had to be very persistent with them in order to negotiate an outcome that I was happy with. In the end I still feel as though they didn’t deliver fully on what we agreed upon. 3. Food - Their food is delicious and the wait staff that worked our event were very professional and friendly. Though their food is great I would not recommend O’Malley’s catering to anyone and strongly encourage Madsen’s Greenhouse to re-evaluate them as their mandatory event caterer.

Normally I like to stay out of these things however I have been quoted out of context. And we can't have that because without context words can mean anything. Firstly in response to the owners response to one of the other reviews. I once stated that communication is not my strong suit however I made sure to be abundantly clear for anything that mattered. I count allergy's and food intolerances as things that matter. Secondly that was in regards to desserts which was sorted out and not an issue. And lastly the other email which you may be referencing in your "few emails" May be the one where I stated that if anything about the booking for the tasting is confusing I can clarify it for you. TL;DR: Implied communication error was on my end. They were wrong. Brought food with allergens in them (Admitted it was their mistake and fixed it). I don't recommend them.

We definitely recommend O'Malley's! It was quite painless to place our order (sent an email with the details of the order for the settings of flatware, cutlery, wine glass, and table cloths {a variety of dimensions} and everything was EXACTLY as we specified. The flatware was quite pretty and the value is unmatched. We will go back to O'Malley's for our next event.

I've been renting supplies from O'Malley's for the past few years. After having spent countless years cleaning dirty dishes from holiday dinners, I decided to rent my supplies. I have a large family, so its been a time saver to have O'Malley's supply all the extra tables and chairs I need, as well as all the dinnerware and glassware. And with a pick up and drop off service, its convenient and clean up is a breathe.

We just held our father's Memorial/Celebration of Life June 09/18 and ordered the Memorial Platter for 50. The sandwich platters had great variety & they were delicious, the veggies were fresh and nicely presented, lots of fresh fruit, crackers, cheese and desserts, all the platters were made up nicely. They supplied LOTS of food so there were many people able to and that did go on to have seconds, some thirds and we still had lots to take home. Karen was very easy to deal with, very friendly and professional. We found them to offer the most reasonable prices for catering as well as providing the best mixed variety for guests. I can see why they are Holland Marsh Wineries preferred caterer. I definitely would use O'Malley's again if we hold any future events within the area. We send our thanks for the great food and professional service we received to Karen and all the O'Malley's team!

We ordered the Memorial Package A for a celebration of life. It was perfect other than we could have had less food. But that is way better than not enough. We ordered for 75 people and 75 people came but it was Too much. Be prepared to take some home. All the food was delicious and clearly freshly made. The variety of sandwiches, vegetables, fruits and dessert couldn’t have been better. They arrived in a timely fashion and took care of every detail. We would use them again without question.

Just want to thank O'Malley's Catering for doing such a wonderful job on my Wedding. It was the hottest day of the year, and I held it inside a garden house where there were only a few giant fans to help people cool down - and I had no problems or complaints from the staff. I had suggested directly to the staff that they wear their outdoor BBQ polo shirt uniforms, but they wouldn't hear anything of it; they wanted to look proper for the Wedding. Everything went smooth, the food was great as usual, and we all had a great time dancing in the virtual sauna. I found the rentals to be good quality and priced competitively. O'Malley's has always been my go-to caterer, for private and small business events. The food is always great, and I know I'm not paying through the nose (why is that a saying?) for the same quality I would get at a more expensive caterer. I also love how they are continuously updating their decor ideas, very creative! Highly recommend!

I was at a wedding a few weeks ago and was really looking forward to the food after seeing how good the menu looked. Sadly, I was very disappointed by the quality of what I got. The manicotti was over cooked with dry sauce, the filet mignon extremely overcooked, and the dessert tasted like it was frozen from a grocery store. Definitely would NOT recommend as I did not enjoy it at all.

I unfortunately had to use O'Malleys for my wedding last month because the venue I chose gave me no choice. I had my reservations because the packages on their website were foods I don't eat. The owner of my venue arranged for me to speak to Emidio from O'Malleys in person to work it out and held the date for me at the venue. Emidio seemed to understand my needs in term of what food I'd actually eat and created a menu for me that I was excited about. He also said that I could bring in my own desserts from wherever I so desired. Feeling more confident, I booked the venue. At the tasting, I tried his suggestions and only changed the fish dish because the one at the tasting was too salty. My now husband emailed to confirm exactly what foods we wanted. We also realized we had never been given the option for the foods passed around during the cocktail hour and in the email gave them our choices and asked if we were in fact entitled to any as we had never been told. If we hadn't asked, I'm not sure we'd have ever been given the option. At the tasting, we were also told again we could bring in our own desserts. The contract stated desserts with (if applicable) at the end of line. Turns out that even though we said twice we would go with that option, we were still being charged for desserts. When my husband emailed about it they seemed to make up a random number $1.50 per person as the contract didn't have costs broken down and then were going to charge $5 a platter for desserts I brought in. I stated food allergies in person, by email and over the phone. The allergies were totally ignored and the food that showed up at my wedding wasn't what I ordered. I stated anything with mushrooms needed to be labeled. The main chicken dish described on my contract described as panko crusted baked chicken breast with mozzarella and marinara somehow became chicken and mushroom sauce at the wedding itself. I stated that I had lactose Intolerant people, O'Malleys asked me for their table numbers which I provided them and they never provided those guests with their food. In following up, they blamed me for supposedly having changed the menu and said my lactose guests just needed to tell them at the buffet...then why did they need the table numbers? They blamed the chicken dish on me changing the dish which I never had. They offered minimal compensation and my wedding was in the meantime very much ruined by me feeling like my voice as the bride had never mattered with such charming and sneaky and uncaring people at O'Malleys. Never use them to cater your event if you care about the safety of your guests or actually expect what you agree to to show up at your event! This was the response from caterer as I see the follow-up "I completely understand your frustration and disappointment. I was upset when I read your email and spoke with our staff as the details of your wedding were very important to me. I am very sorry that you received the wrong chicken. It was an error on our new catering system, but we failed to follow through with the adjustments you made to your menu. The system pulled the description of the changed entree (chicken parmesan) but the name defaulted to the original Chicken Marsala. The lactose intolerant meals were prepared and brought to the venue. Our staff were instructed to bring it to the guests when they asked at the buffet. In regards to our error on the chicken dish, we are hoping that a compensation of $1000 is satisfactory. We understand that we cannot redo the event, but hopefully you see that the error wasn’t malicious." They couldn't charge a fee for platters given we provided the platters in the end. The point was also that they never mentioned that there would be a charge for them in the first place if we opted to bring in our own desserts. They agreed to give us back more money after I countered because the $1000 didn't even account for the service fees.

I had a conversation with the owner about refunding my deposit or providing service for the money paid for my wedding on July 3rd. He refused to give the deposit back and even supply services for 10 people on my wedding date. I am disgusted by the customer service as we are in an unprecidented time. They are ill equipped to deal with customers requests. I strongly reccomend that Madsen's find a new in house caterer and if you are looking for a caterer, DO NOT go with O'Malley's. They have very poor customer service.

I went to a wedding catered by O'Malleys and it was horrible food. The pasta was dried out and tasted frozen. In fact all the food did not seem fresh. The steak tasted like a Hungery Mans frozen meal. The almond encrusted salmon looked barely cooked and tasted horrible. Everything was over salted. Such a disappointment for the bride, groom and all of their guests! Not one person at my table completed their meal!

O'Malley's was the caterer we used for our recent wedding af Madsens Greenhouse and they were nothing short of 5 stars. The food tasted phenomenol, the portion sizes were huge, the staff was amazing at the wedding and they were so accommodating with the dietary restrictions we had. We even made a last minute add on the day before the wedding and they didn't even hesitate to get it done. Thank you Karen (GM) and the other O'Malley's staff for a perfect meal.

Emidio was fantastic. His food is absolutely delicious! We received so many compliments on our wedding food. Our guests told us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! I DO NOT recommend anyone ever use this catering service. They have some of the most disgusting customer service I have ever experienced. The staff there were very nice but the head chef/owner has no manners or common sense. I stressed I had allergies to this man multiple times in person and through email he assured me everything would be fine and he would communicate it with his staff for my wedding day. On the day of my wedding the very thing I was allergic to was all over the food, and I was completely shocked to learn he had never communicated it with his staff at all and they had no idea i was even allergic to anything. I have tried to email and communicate with the head chef/owner since than but he apparently doesn't know how to respond to emails after you've already payed your final bill. Even leading up to the wedding his emails were very short and rude. I URGE everyone to please not use this company if you want good food for your event.

I had my wedding at Madsen's Greenhouse a few weeks ago, and O'Malley's was our caterer. I have to say, they did a great job!! All our commentary from our tasting (that the sauces were too salty/needed more red wine) they made a note of, and we were so happy with the meal on the day of. We got multiple comments that it was one of the best wedding meals our guests have ever had! What I appreciated most though, as the bride, was that the servers came over to me multiple times to make sure I had a chance to have some hor d'oeuvres, to ask how we thought the dinner was going etc. They were so attentive and genuinely seemed to care about doing a great job. We also really appreciated that we were able to bring in our own cookie bar, desserts, pizza etc. We had a great meal service and cant thank O'Malley's enough!!

Even after moving downtown, I still go to O’Malley’s for my catering and rental needs. The food is worth the drive for me! My baby shower was recently catered by O’Malley’s and I was so thrilled with every detail. You really can’t beat their sandwich and wrap platters. They’ve managed to take a classic party staple and make it current. Get the seafood salad croissant-style sandwiches! You will not be disappointed.
