Be prepared to do it yourself! Marigolds & Onions were quick to respond, a little dry in the responding, but that's okay! Had to confirm a few things, didn't give me all the information all at once, also okay! But when the delivery came, the guy just unloaded the bag, the chaffing dishes burners, and left it all in the bag and left. He didn't say anything, didn't unpack anything, just turned around and left. At first I thought he just forgot something and was coming back, but then after a few minutes I realized that I had to set up the whole lunch myself. So we decided to call to let them know that the delivery guy just left everything and they said 'that's how we do things' and didn't seem to care at all that it was a big inconvenience to us as clients. Anyway, the food was good, so we will be ordering again ONLY if they change 'the way they do things'.

We used Marigolds & Onions for our small Toronto wedding in Sept 2014 and they were absolutely amazing. I knew that they were on another level when first speaking with Al. I told him my budget and he had so many creative ideas for the day that I knew that the day was in good hands. Then I worked with Freeman for all the details and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He really listened and gave great advice. Since we were on a strict budget they really worked with us to make sure that everything was perfect and that we didn't break the bank. And on the day? I couldn't even count how many people complimented the food and the service. People talked about it for weeks afterward. They were extremely professional and I honestly wouldn't use anyone else if I hosted another event in Toronto. Really fantastic food and service.

I ordered from Marigolds & Onions' Home Meal Package for lunch for 6 people. The food was amazing, delicious and well enjoyed by all of us. The salads, entrees and sides arrived fresh, hot and ready to serve. I still have left overs!! They are so easy to deal with from order to delivery. Professional and courteous. I highly recommend them and will definitely order again for my next events small and large.

I work in a nursing home experiencing an illness outbreak & the management has graciously been providing meals for the staff. Every single meal has been healthy, fresh & tasty! Last night's dinner was fennel & orange glazed tilapia with a pesto farfalle (bowtie) pasta with a medley of broccoli & cauliflower florets, carrots & zucchini cuts. It was the best meal we've had yet. It was so good that I cut myself off at halfway so I could enjoy it again for lunch today and I'm googling to figure out how to make it again myself! This company is a DEFINITE recommend & wish I had known they were this awesome when I got married! Thanks again, guys! Edited to add-on: I feel my review was "heard" because it's been almost a week & we just had pink salmon with the same amazing sauce! 10/10 again! xo

My husband and I were researching caterers for our late April wedding and in the end had agreed on three good candidates; one of which was M&O. Right from the get-go the correspondence from Jordan was prompt and concise. When the day came for the initial tasting my husband and I were both excited because who wouldn't want to taste a variation of delicious food?! We finally got to meet Jordan in-person and we immediately we knew we were in good hands. The conversation flowed naturally and the food was fantastic (even my fussy eater husband enjoyed it all). As soon as we walked out the door we both agreed that they would be our wedding caterer. In the months that followed we had decided to change a few of our passed canapes choices and asked if we could come in for a second tasting to ensure our new selections would reflect our tastes. Jordan was more than accommodating and we dropped in to taste more delicious bites. Its so easy to talk about how good the food was but major accolades should be given to Jordan. He was always calm and knowledgeable on everything from venue set-up to the day-of schedules. The wedding day was a complete success! Our guests were beside themselves over the food and staff. We had multiple people approaching us all night complementing not only the quality of the food but also how quickly it was served from the kitchen (everyone loves hot food!). The staff expertly managed all the allergies and special requests. Its safe to say that not only would we use them again for events in the future but we would recommend them to anyone as well.

Not as good as Food Dudes, D&D, Per Se, O&B or Presidential Gourmet. The detail to attention is lacking the quality seems questionable. I am in the industry and have used several catering companies in the past for events and they were excellent. Needless to say, they do not seem to meet my standards.

Jordan was an incredible person to work with from start to finish, he was so attentive, personable and organized. During our wedding day I knew we were in good hands with Jordan, he truly brought our vision to life and so much more!! We received sooo many compliments on the food at our wedding and some even asked if there was a location where they could go to get another Steamwhistle short rib (highly recommend!!). The service all evening was incredible. We are so happy we went with Marigolds and Onions and will always be so appreciative of Jordan’s services!

This was the worst experience my Fiancee and I have ever gone through. M & O did not win our business. Jordan was unprepared for all meetings and calls. I had my future in-laws come down from Niagara to discuss and set expectations. We had clearly stated weeks in advance that we needed pictures and details of previous weddings to gauge the quality of the work. He didn't have anything ready, their office was a mess and to top it all off.... never sent an email after our meeting. We continued to reach out and never received a response. We ended up calling, spoke to him, and he said he was busy. Get this - still proceeded to never email us anything... and to this day we have never heard back from him. The lack of professionalism was beyond me, save yourself the headache and GO WITH ANYONE ELSE... Literally anyone else.

I had the pleasure of working with Jordan from Marigolds & Onions for a party I hosted this past Saturday at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Everything was simply amazing. Jordan was a pleasure to work with. He brought my Maple Leafs theme to life even right down to the centerpieces we had. The food was amazing. According to others, "the Beef was the best beef they have had". I would definitely recommend Jordan and his staff from Mariogolds & Onions for any future events you may have.

We hired Marigolds and Onions for our wedding in October and could not have been happier with our decision. We dealt with Jordan who was an absolute blessing to us. Because of Covid, we were unsure about details such as numbers of attendees so we were a tad late organizing our food for the wedding. We were a bit stressed but our minds were immediately put at ease by Jordan. The tasting before was amazing and well organized. Every one of our guests came up to us during and after the wedding and said how it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Jordan was well organized and went out of his way to coordinate with every vendor involved and helped in any way he could outside of just the catering. He even went to the LCBO during the event, bought more alcohol and brought it back without anybody asking or even being aware. Marigolds and Onions and Jordan truly made our day and we were so appreciative. We have booked them for our upcoming business event. Highly recommend.

I recently attended the Rogers Cup and the food offered by M&O was disgusting; Conversation was the same with everyone I spoke with throughout the weekend and afterwards. I hope players did not have to eat that garbage. Volunteers complained about the food and they get it for free. They have had a 'great reputation'; no longer. From an international perspective, Toronto has a 5* reputation no longer!!! Let's hope Rogers Cup Hospitality Team revisits this caterer. Get out of the business; something has changed with the company...........you were not this bad.
