We used Cabral Catering at Belcroft Estates for our September 26th wedding.
Our entire experience with everything that was included with them has been a nightmare.
Not only was the food cold and gross (other then the pasta course we added on) the service was not great for us as the bride and groom. We were asked once if we wanted a drink or anything through our entire 7+ hours there. At the end of the night, without any remorse or discussions with us even though numerous guests, family members and myself asked them not to, they threw all of our very expensive centrepieces/greenery and eucalyptus into large garbage bags IN FRONT OF OUR GUESTS. While doing so, not only were articles from our wedding such as hand dyes silk ribbons, runners and cloth napkins thrown out, so were some of our guests items including a clutch purse!!!!
They also took our charger plates and cloth napkins!!!! Luckily they aren’t rentals and we purchased them ourselves so we aren’t running into late return fees etc however the owner of Belcroft hasn’t taken a single step in handling this situation with any professionalism or class, instead accusing us of lying even when our entire wedding and vendors we brought witnessed everything as well as have photos of everything! The owner has even since blocked us from social media and any communication after we asked for our plates back and to meet to discuss everything. Ridiculous.
A month later and we still don’t have our things back!!! Or a single apology from the caterer or the venue!!!!
Belcroft and Katie, the planner are blaming the caterors for stealing the plates as well they forgot our wedding cake and couldn’t find it. Once found they only served half of it and told us that was all, when we ordered a larger cake to have extra for our first anniversary (as tradition goes)
I’m not sure if this is a catering issue or a Belcroft issue or a planner issue but either way, we are unhappy with the service and quality of everything we paid for with all three. We are speaking with a lawyer to discuss our options.
Happy to share any evidence we have in emails, photos etc with anyone considering hiring any of these vendors for their special day- buyer be ware!
