Very good place for purchasing Halal meat, chicken sausages, bacon, etc. They also have a variety of red meats such as lamb, goat and beef. They sell lamb fat and organs such as liver, lamb head, tongue, etc. Sometimes they have 50 percent off on their packaged meats which is a very good deal. They sell some fresh produce and some specialties such as green almonds, fresh green fava beans, as well as bakery items besides their selection of middle estern canned products. Workers are quiet helpful and kind. Great place for shopping good quality products. Only downside is that it's a bit far away and I need to drive 45 min to get there. Other than that very satisfied with quality and customer service here.

I have been shopping at westgate halal for years. I believe they are family owned, and their staff are also lovely. During the pandemic, they accomodated curbside orders for me as I am immunocompromised. Their meats are amazing! You can get a whole chicken deboned! They also have an array of middle eastern goods. I highly recommend their in-house made dips, sambusas, fatayers, etc. Beautiful and affordable produce. I honestly don’t have enough good things to say about this gem of a business. Definitely worth a visit.

Be careful everyone .I got a beef liver from them it looks good and clean but when I cooked it was hard as a rock and taste nothing like beef liver. This’s second time happened to me few months ago I bought lamb head from looks fresh and clean but when ,I cooked the meat smile so bad like dead animals from that time I did buy any meat or cooked food from them but today was unfortunate (alhmedallah)

Aweful do not order meat from them! Cubes are as big as your plam and meat is not clean at all. Meat cutting staff do not even tell the name of manager and keep telling you to call back again and again after a week and 2 week and cover up each other. Their prices are high too. Go to Desi Bazaar for meat it’s clean and they follow instructions for cutting!

This is by the far the best Halal meat shop in Edmonton. If you are looking for great quality meat, then this is your pitstop. In addition, they have great selection of ready made fresh chicken burgers, shawarma, and kabab. The Yogurst (labneh) is on another level. I always buy the ground beef manakessh (lahm b3ajeen) as they use the extra lean ground beef in it and not the mixed stuff with all the lard that you usually get from other places. Last but not least, they have the best samoasas in town (you should try the chicken)! Very friendly people and excellent service.

I come in here after work to pickup fresh kafta and tabouli when I am feeling it. The mixed lamb and beef kafta is fantastic and always a treat. The tabouli is fresh and zesty. Kebabs are also fantastic along with the schwarma and to say more I would need to try the other cuts they have on offer. I wish their garlic sauce (it's labeled that way, and not toum so can't complain) was more like toum so I could skip the time of making it myself. Fantastic little store and good friendly people.
