We have ordered three cakes from The Sweet Side now! The first cake was a birthday cake last year and it was a custom order. I have ordered many custom cakes in the past and The Sweet Side definitely makes the most delicious cakes! They were able to match the picture I sent as reference perfectly! I was very happy with the cake! This year I ordered a cake for Mother’s Day and another cake two weeks later for another birthday. Both cakes were beautiful!! And again the taste was excellent! Very fresh and moist and just the right amount of sweet! It makes us want to order another cake soon for no special occasion other than how tasty and pretty they are! Highly recommend!

My brother's girlfriend ordered a surprise birthday cake for my brother (June 25) and he was more than happy with it. The flavours were there (carrot with a hint of spice) and it was moist and not flaky at all. They provided delivery which is nice as Spruce is a bit far. We all highly recommend. K

Got a cake from them a few days back for my baby girl's birthday . The cake was way too sugary and we didn't like the cake. The presentation of the cake was good but too much sugar and no sponginess in cake. My friends too left the cake in between .I thought if such a mini cake is for $60 then there would be something different and unique in that but no . I won't try this bakery again .

I ordered the mini cupcakes for my 25th wedding anniversary in lieu of a cake. They delivered them which was lovely and man oh man, they were beyond delicious. Would recommend The Sweet Side any day, thank you for the wonderful cupcakes!!

Got a cake from them a few days back...first of all the way they treat customers...dont't bother talking at all...just messaging at their own sweet will...and then I thought at least the cake would be good...and it came in ... looking all gorgeous but the crust and the inside both too sweet and too hard...felt like cutting into hardernd sugar...and the cost of the cake absolutely does not do any justice with the product or the service...am definitely never trying another thing

Absolutely fantastic! Roslyn was so easy to talk to, and worked with us to find a delivery solution since our Wedding was out at a farm yard. The cake and cupcakes were absolutely delicious - we're so glad we got the minis so everyone could try one of every flavour! Canadian Maple, Strawberry Shortcake, and Toffee were our flavours, and no one could decide on a favourite! I cannot thank them, or recommend them enough <3

I was not able to attend an event. In my place I sent an amazing cake to use as a draw prize. It looked so amazing and I was so proud to give that away. The convenience of them delivering it for me, was such a stress relief, I cannot say enough about it. I didn't get a chance to taste that cake, but I have on other occasions.... I get taste flashbacks for their limeoncello cupcake! Sooooo yummy! And it's so beautiful!

Nice Small family business. Did cupcakes and mini cupcakes for our wedding! Best I've had. Also, scheduled weekly deliveries of sweet treats for our staff at work. Was a huge hit! Lastly every year, we order customized flavored chocolates with logos, name of the business, and Christmas wishes! Awesome promotional products for our clients. Highly recommended!

Cheap business practices! beware of ordering and paying on website. I have ordered a couple times previously with good reviews from the people who received the sweet gifts. I ordered once again via the website and paid for the order. I noted that delivery for the product could be anytime within the following three days. I was emailed back saying this was not possible and delivery would be in over a week which doesn't exactly work for a celebration. I was advised after a few back and forth emails that I would be refunded less a $5 fee. SUCH poor business practice. $5 for what??!! because they had to 'pay' someone to decline an online order... that $5 of poor business practice and service will now have me boycotting not only my personal business but my corporate orders and I'm going to tell everyone. Sorry this is not acceptable and its CHEAP

Everybody loved both the traditional ones and the cookie monster ones. Made for a unique office birthday celebration. They delivered cupcakes to our office in Edmonton at no charge. I was kept on top of the delivery from start to finish. Great service, product, and follow-through.

Amazing Cake for an amazing price! Delivery was easy to coordinate and it got here just when promised, and the cake looked and tasted incredible. I also had to order fairly last minute due to a cancellation, and it was no problem at all. I'll be coming back here for any other future cake needs. Next time I'll take photos.

We stumbled across the Sweet Side when looking for a place to do our wedding cake and cupcakes, and we are so glad we found the Sweet Side! Roslyn was amazing to deal with right from the start, and was so understanding when we had to change our dates and numbers 3 times due to covid restrictions. The price is unbeatable and the quality is exceptional. We've also ordered for family events and everyone always loves them. We also used them for our reception dinner and the custom cookies were a huge hit, I didn't even get one, they were gone so fast! Plus they deliver right to your door which is even better!

This was our second time ordering from sweet side, the first order was a birthday cake for my wife which was done very well, the taste was good and texture was enjoyable. It was a unicorn style cake. The second order was for my sons birthday a roblox cake, I was quite underwhelmed with the finished product based in the price tag. We ordered the same cookies and cream cake as the first one and this one was unbearably sweet to the point that it was difficult to enjoy any of it. The “custom” side of things were disappointing, printing out screen shots on rice paper and putting them on the cake is a little bit of a stretch, the delivery option is very convenient but doesn’t make up for the product. They are also very hard to get ahold of, I hadn’t even realized the order was placed as I received zero confirmation. I actually had to contact them the day before my sons birthday to make sure this was still happening as there was multiple days with out any communication. “You sending the pictures was confirmation” is what i got in an email response. I wasn’t going to review the bad experience but I saw what I could’ve and should’ve received from a different local vendor and it made me upset, in a time where small businesses need everyone to show out for them you’d expect some decent service. Very good on the first try, super disappointing on the follow up order. Will not use again and personally recommend doing your research on what else is out there before ordering.

I live in British Columbia however I wanted to get some baked goods for my sister. Their website is super easy, priced well, and they send you email confirmations. I was really glad they sent a email stating the baking was delivered. My sister said the baked goods are super delicious! (She recommends the toasted coconut lime sugar cookies.) Keep up the great work! Highly recommend!

Ordered a sugar cookie cake for a 50th birthday and requested a similar design to the berry themed cake they have on the website. I told them she liked berries and flowers and her favourite color is purple, and this is what they came up with! Everyone at the party was so blown away by how beautiful the cake was. I couldn’t be more happy, they did such a wonderful job! In addition to that they were so incredibly polite and informative on the phone and they were prompt in responding to my emails. Delivery also came well in advance before the party started. And finally, the cake was so delicious - the cookie was soft and sweet and the buttercream is literally perfect. I’m definitely recommending The Sweet Side to everyone I know. Check em out!

We received a cake as a present. It is very beautiful, hands down. However, the taste was so awfully sweet, I felt as if eating sugar by the spoon. My stomach is still upset. We will eat the berries that were sprinkled on the top, and will have to discard the rest. If you're after a few instagram worthy pictures, thats a great choice. By I would not recommend eating it. That's my honest review.
