Here you will be able to see all the reviews of real people like you who are using the services of The Loft Restaurant (Catering) in the area close to Alberta (Canada).
At present this business has a score of 4.2 over 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is high, and it is founded on a very high number of scores, so we can be quite sure that the assessment is very reliable. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to put scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

8 of us went for a late breakfast, at 11, before a wedding we were attending in spruce grove. We picked this place based on the good reviews but we were very disappointed. We waited 1HOUR for food that didn’t even arrive at that point so we left. They told us that there were a couple other big parties ahead, but we checked the restaurant and there was no table bigger than 4 people. They told us “just 10 more minutes” multiple times which was clearly a lie. My boyfriend and I are both in the food industry so we understand things happen, but 1HOUR for food is ridiculous!
Slow service is a bit of an understatement. I was here with my gf it wasn't that busy maybe 4 tables, most already had their food another couple got tired of waiting and just left. We ordered pan scrablles and it took 45 mins to come out, when it arrived mine didn't even have potatoes. Was not happy at all they fixed their mistake and brought it back out. They didn't adjust the bill. The food was pretty good but not worth the long wait we had.
Really love the Sunday brunch!! The food is excellent! My only negative comment would be the dessert table needs a better selection.
My personal go to for brunch. Reasonably priced and great food. Delicious bacon! 4 starts only because service is not always great, sometimes a bit slow and sometimes not attentive.
Stopped in breakfast for the first time after having been a previous deli customer. Great breakfast buffet. The food (especially the meat) is all their own cuts, so not normal poor quality restaurant stuff, and thus great. Would definitely recommend.
Awesome place for Breakfast and Lunch. The Bacon is amazing and so are the hand cut hashbrowns - they are like thick cut potato chips. Delicious
AMAZING breakfast! Have had problems with service here and there but worth it , great for the hungover morning breakfast
Quirky local gem. Upstairs restaurant at a local butcher and deli. Loved the menu. Reasonable prices, good portions. Everything is fresh and local, service crisp and efficient. Montreal Smoked Meat was good but dryish. Fries overcooked on both meals.
It was amazing! We came in for our anniversary brunch and we had a blast!! Staffs were so friendly, food was yummy and massive! I was worried since I read bad reviews about waiting time but it was quick amd prompt! Definitely coming back!!
Waited over an hour and never got our food so we left. Really would have loved to try the blueberry perogies, but after waiting OVER AN HOUR we decided to leave. Absolutely ridiculous I'm surprised by the good reviews. Some of the worst service I've ever received.
We always enjoy visiting The Loft. Consistently good food and service. My only wish is they bring back some of the old items like my fave Benny.
Always great food! Come early on weekends it fills up after 930.
Great place for brunch I've been coming to for many years. Been good but recently feels like quality and portions aren't as big as they used to be. Omelettes are phenomenal and a must try! There is brunch buffet on Sundays with a large …
Friendly staff and great breakfast buffet! Will definitely be the new spot to bring friends and family when they come into town.
Always good food. The buffet is the best on Sundays. But get there early to get a table, seating is limited.
A nice little breakfast buffet on top of a little market. They make all their food in house including the bacon, sausages and cured ham. Crepe station and more. Great place for families or couples. A little hard to find but that means it’s a hidden gem for locals and explorers. Highly recommend!
At the loft right now. Got here at 12. Still waiting for my soup and salad. Been 45 mins.... This is the 3rd time I've been here and same story every time. Great food. Terrible wait times. Currently 11 out of maybe 30 tables are full. So not that busy. This is terrible
Great food, great meats, and great pancakes that do not disappear your syrup into an empty black hole. Very good
Great spot for breakfast! I like to shop in the store below after a delicious meal.
Fantastic breakfast buffet option! Great atmosphere, friendly staff! Delicious food!
Simply amazing everytime we go! Food quality, amounts, and selection in buffet is always great. The service is also amount the best I've seen.
Very disappointed with the buffet, bacon not cooked, ham not cooked, sausage not cooked, a few items were not even available with the hot stuff. Then the deserts tasted like day old baking except for the pumpkin cheesecake which my wife and I shared because there was only one piece left. For the value I would not recommend. We want to go one more time and order from the menu and if that doesn’t go well we won’t be back.
Absolutely loved my meal here, my friends and I were all blown away. I follow a ketogenic diet and ordered the benedict omelette which was amazing, and I asked that I have bacon instead of hashbrowns and toast. I received a huge portion of their bacon and it was to die for, and they didn't charge me extra (other places are a lot more fussy about this). Strongly recommend and can't wait to eat there again!
Good food. However, the service has been slow everytime we have decided to come here. Currently been waiting 40 minutes for food.
Food is fantastic. Just like good old fashioned country cooking. Service is a little slow. Will come back for sure.
I REALLY wanted to like this place, but last visit has got me turned off. My First visit was over mothers day brunch. we had a reservation for first thing in the morning, HOWEVER we didn't actually get to eat until 30 min in cause they didn't even have all the food out so they made us wait. and we only got an hour to eat. oh and they never had the crepe table open till right when we left. I thought I would give them another try so: 2nd visit : visited on Sunday around noon for the brunch buffet. (figuring it would be a better time to get food) WRONG. most of the buffet was empty and the stuff that was left was cold and hard. never got any refills on drinks either. It was a $50 bill for me and my 8yr old daughter who barely ate anything since everything she liked was out. I guess its time to try a different place. anyone have any recommendations?
It took a long time for our food that day and my daughter ended up with a dish that she didn't order but because we had waited so long she said she would have it rather than wait for another Caesar salad!! Our server never did bring our water with lemons we ordered. And very noisy! I feel terrible for the servers having to haul all the food up to the restaurant floor from the main floor. There must be a way to help these ladies as this is going to burn them out or hurt them sooner or later!!
Slow service, mediocre burgers drowned in condiments, soggy fries and cold gravy. Maybe the breakfasts live up to the grocery downstairs, but the lunch menu certainly doesn't.
The loft is one of my favorite breakfast joints. The food here has never been disappointing at anytime I go here. My suggestion would be to try the eggs Benedict's. I did go here once and it did take 35mins to get my food and the pancakes were not cooked, I suggest don't get those, other than that it's a great place to go eat usually. The bacon is best around. I will always go here for breaky in Spruce Grove. I sometimes drive from downtown Edmonton to spruce just to eat breaky here. I go here pretty much every weekend with my friends and family. Hope you enjoy eating here!
If you are willing to wait to get in, this is an amazing place for breakfast. The food is amazing. The service is kind of slow, but understandable for the size of the restaurant and the volume of clients. You can also buy food to take home from the deli downstairs. We really like this place, but with a family of 5, it can be difficult to come and enjoy a meal sometimes.
Loved the place, very homey and cozy!!! Food is GREAT, and friendly staff... Definitely recommendable!!!
Food is consistently good. Portion sizes are huge, especially the Omelettes. Restaurant is on the 2nd floor via steep stairs. No elevator.
Went to the breakfast buffet, the food was mediocre. All the meat was dry, so we're the potatoes. The crep station was nice but the crepes were being made then being put on a plate so they just got cold by the time you got them. And for the price you shouldn't be receiving cold crepes. Wouldn't go back for the brunch but on days they have their regular menu it is very good
This place is awesome, the breakfast sandwiches were so filling! Definitely make a stop in if you're around for brunch!
Came for brunch, it was good! Eggs were perfectly done (sunny side) and the toast was spectacular, potatoes were a little salty for my liking. Server was very helpful. My only complaint was that they didn’t have turkey bacon. Oh well, next time!
Delicious, fresh and big portions, just like eating in your grandma's house, even with that type of cosy place and kind service. I really recommend the place, the prices are a little bit high, but is completely worth it. The store sell also really good products.
I like the loft. Super good meat. All kinds of bacon that is always good. It better be, they have a butcher shop attached to the place.
The first time we came here it was a Sunday morning and we walked in on their buffet. It wasn't clear when we came in whether it was self seating or assigned seating so we sat ourselves and we sort of got dirty looks after that... but we got up and went to grab some buffet food and it was amazing... from eggs benny to Belgian waffles to cheesecake they had everything... I do not know how they kept the eggs benny in such a good condition while sitting out in a buffet setting but OMG delish and I want to go back ASAP!
Went for brunch with the hubby and loved every bite. Service was good, food was amazing. My husband loved the stuffed burger. We will be going again.
Errrmergawd!!!! This place is amazeballs, the food is on point, the waitress was awesome and the portions were amazing. Then we went shopping for groceries on our way out. Worth the drive from Edmonton every time!!!
You see that guy on the bottoms review, its completely incorrect, according to my experiences there. Excellent food upstairs and down, blueberry perogis !!!!! smoked bacon!!!! eggs benny!! Yes go early, why?? cause it fills up because the food is excellent!!! Service can be slow but hey they are learning and getting way better so stop in. FILL UP and support your local suppliers and providers instead of the big box down the road!
Hidden gem in Stony Plain. The breakfast buffet is delicious. Wear your stretchy pants and arrive early to avoid long wait times!
Wonderful breakfast, great service. The sausage and maple bacon was awesome!!
I absolutely love the Loft reakfast their eggs benedict is so good I was so sad to see their eggs benedict with artichoke no longer available as that was one of my most favorite dishes the other breakfast dishes they have are absolutely fantastic as well the Skillets are very nicely cooked and it's all meat right from their own butcher shop everything is fresh and delicious
Great atmosphere and customer service. Our waitress was funny and the food was tasty and enormous portions. Great price too. I will definitely be back often as my new favorite restaurant in spruce. :)
They were great back in the day but have gotten overpriced 1/2 the portion they used to give. I loved them disappointing
For a casual dining experience this restaurant is very good. The quality of the food is quite High and well done. The prices are average. I would go back.
I went there several years ago. I remembered it being a place I wanted to take my wife to. While in the area I got worried if it was as good as I thought it was. Into the deli and asked if they were still seating at 15 before close. Up the stairs we went. The staff were busy preparing the place for Sunday breakfast but they dropped everything and started to look after us. Most places we would have felt like a burden, not here! Yes we were looked after so they could get on with setup, but wow the food was better then I remembered. Staff were busy with cleaning and prepping but still each of the three stopped a few minutes to ensure we were happy with the food and then pleasantly chat about whatever. I felt they were happy we dropped by. Food... Montreal smoked meat was really smoked and spices were flavourful. French Fries were close to perfect, side gravy was real scratch! Loft club was not a classic club, it was in bun with real chunk of ham turkey and bacon. Team bacon likes the bacon... Worth the 3.5 hour drive up from Calgary. My wife wants to go again. Good eating.
The loft is a great place for breakfast! Located above the deli on ground floor known as Sandyview Farms.
Best breakfeast i have ever had around Edmonton. Worth the money. You know you have quality food in your plate, everything is straight from their own farm and they produce transform everything on the first floor of that place, you have to go trought the little market before going up the stairs to get the best brunch ever.
Just had the Benny Omelette today. ???? Oh. My. God. So good, and surprisingly gargantuan! Massive enjoyment and contentment ensued... left riding high in the clouds. ⛅️
Fantastic food! Very generous portions! Great spot! Only thing is the service can be slow even when it’s not slammed. Which it often is because it is truly great food!
Food was really good but the service was terrible and waited an hour for the buffet to be filled back up. Will never go back
The loft has the BEST breakfast if you're a meat lover. They are above a meat shop so let your imagination run wild. They also have a gluten free deep fryer for us with sensitivity. Go, eat, be happy.
Food was great. Wish I would have known drink refills were not free. 40$ later on just apple juice for kids.
Sadly this place has gone down hill. I have been coming here for 2 years and it's steadily going down hill. The portions have gotten smaller and the little things have been taken out. For example. I ordered the blueberry pierogies and they used to come with melted butter. They dont any more, so I asked the waiter for some melted butter. I got melted grill shavings. I sadly have decided this will be my last breakfast here. Sadly it will be missed, but it's no longer the establishment it used to be.
This is one of the best places in Spruce Grove, especially for the Sunday buffet. I can’t even count the amount of people I have recommended to eat here. It is always fresh and made with love. You can taste that it’s homemade.
I have eaten here several times. The eggs Benedict is one of my favorites. Try the house smoked bacon, its the best i have had. Still trying new items out. They have a buffet on Sunday's but have not tried it Spoil yourself and stop by
Good thing you updated your website so I didn't drive 40 minutes to find a closed restaurant. I mean I understand you have so much to do while you sit at home on cerb that the 5 minutes it takes could feel overwhelming, but I believe in you.
I have now been here twice. The first time was not a great experience but 2 years later I figured I would give them a second chance. That was a mistake. Went in today with my Dad for breakfast and with only a hand full of tables taken it took 45 minutes for us to get our food which was a simple breakfast ( eggs bacon toast) and when it did come the eggs appeared to have been sitting under a heat lamp for half that time. The meats were completely tasteless, which if profound. How bacon can be tasteless is mind boggling but there was NO TASTE... Not of salt, not of a smokey flavour, not of maple, tasteless. It was as though it was boiled and then microwaved. Waitresses were somewhat friendly but also zombie like. Coffee had to be requested, cutlery came only after the food was on the table. Let's just say they won't get a third chance to make a good impression. Pretty sad to say but going to McDonald's or Tim Hortons would have been more satisfying
After waiting over 30 minutes for two sandwiches, we were told it would be another 10 minute wait. Their excuse for the delay is that the kitchen gets nervous if too many orders go in at once, so the server does not put the order in when you place your order, they wait for the kitchen to slow down. Very unimpressed. We did not wait to see how the food was.
Favorite place for breakfast . The best thick slice bacon. And love the blue berry perogies with whipped cream...real freshly made cream.
AMAZING. My dad's and mine favorite brunch spot. The fam gets jealous when they hear we've been here Best bacon I've ever had!
This use to be my favorite place to eat but the food and service has been going down hill. And today we had the worst of both and will not be returning.
We waited for an hour and a half for our breakfast to come out in a less than full restaurant. Food was great, and our coffee was kept full it just wasn’t nice waiting for so long.
Great price, great food. Excellent spot for brunch. Eggs Benedict were great, see.of the best I've had.
I have been here many times and im at the point where if im not seated in 5 min i walk out. Its always such a long wait. They don't have enough servers. People standing in the stairwell when there are unoccupied tables.Food is good but not worth the wait
Food is delicious, staff are super friendly. I commend them for walking up and down a steep flight of stairs all day. Y'all must got killer calf muscles.
After the raving reviews went in to try the Loft, and the experience was honestly awful. Watered down coffee, awkwardly high booth tables with rock hard seats and one full hour for my wife and I to receive food which was stuffed French toast and eggs benedict. I honestly had to call the server over just to double check that the food was ordered. We were starving by the time the food showed up, we ate quick and left hungry.
Great food! Decent service, but turn the heat down. It is boiling in there
Service is amazing. Always so friendly. Food is mediocre, sometimes good, sometimes not. I wasnt a fan of the buffet
It's a pretty sweet place to grab a bite. Service was excellent, the prices were surprising, in a good way. Food was good but not knock your socks off awesome (granted only had one of their dishes). Would definitely eat at again!
Excellent service wonderful food.very quiet till 9 when more people came in. It does get pretty noisy when it fills up.
This is a great place to go for a Sunday breakfast. So much to choose from. In house cured meats and the standard egg offerings. Great twist on their perogies. A bit pricey but treat yourself.
Best bacon in town. Quick service and good coffee. Will return!!
Incredible homegrown food in generous portions, every dish is excellent, the bacon will change your life
Went here for Valentines/birthday dinner. Atmosphere was cozy, all the staff were very friendly and attentive, food was amazing ????
For me, this is one of those “it’s worth the wait” type of places. Breakfast breakfast breakfast. Always leave full and satisfied.
Excellent place to go for brunch on the weekend. Very busy, but worth the wait.
Good atmosphere. Large portions with quick service. Buffet on Sundays is worth the visit.
