I will describe my experience as horrible and the owner as most rude host I have ever met. I went with my family to Shiraz and as soon I parked my car, the owner let another person in and came out, looked at us and turned the sign off and ignored us as he doesn't care. At least polite way would be to tell the guest that you are closed rather than closing your door as soon as you see them. Wow really horrible person and I will never ever go back there.

I ordered ghormeh sabzi but it tasted like "ash reshteh". I also ordered one skewer of kabab which was pretty good. The rice had a little bit unpleasant smell and i think the reason was the type of rice they used. While ago i bought a pakistani brand rice and it had the same smell. I highly recommend the to use 404 brand for their rice. The prices were reasonable. The waiter (which i think was the owner too) was a nice guy but he forgot to pour me water and did not check my table to see if anything was missing or not (he was too busy).

I love the food here. If you're looking for Persian food in Edmonton, this is the place to go. The portions are large, so there is no way you will leave hungry, which seems like quite a deal with their reasonable prices. The owner is also very nice and we enjoy interacting with him when we're there. I definitely recommend stopping by.

For an Iranian who haven't had an opportunity to eat persian food for over a year, the experience was good. On the other hand as a restaurant and service, it fails in every aspect. Restaurant is extremely unattractive, the server looks messy and a man of very few words. He takes order, works in the kitchen, serves food, cleans table and handles bills and money all as a one man team. Not very hygienic. Hardly anyone in the restaurant with TV that was on mute. I am not from Edmonton but go there for business from Northern Alberta 3 to 4 times a year and every time I have visited this place, same quiet atmosphere. At least a persian music would be nice! Food was ok this time but last time the barg kabob was tough and almost unbearable (maybe a bad batch of meet?). Overall, it is great if you are a desperate person for persian food like myself! I probably go there again only because there is no other choice and I simply live for chelokabab :-)

Stopped here for lunch with a few coworkers. Nice albeit small space, very clean and open atmosphere. Service was awesome, the gentleman that served us was very sweet. We visited Shiraz Restaurant on our final day, for a quick pre airport lunch. My wife and I agreed that we felt like we were sitting in a restaurant in Iran, the decor, furniture and the owner, Mr Redha - a soft-spoken, smiling and very kind gentleman. The food was absolutely perfect and authentic. Service, even better. I felt like we are sitting in somebody's home. Best Chalo kebabs I've had in Canada.

If you are interested to taste iranian food this is not the place. Kobab does not taste like a good iranian kabob in fact it is no where near how it should taste. Chicken kabob was yellowish color mimiking safron but did not taste like safron at all. I don't know, I will never bring my non-iranian friends here to have them try iranian food. Unfortunately not many iranian restaurant in Edmonton but I rather not to eat my traditional food than eat something that it is only trying to look like iranian food. Sorry that was my honest opinion. I love kabob and I won't eat it in this restaurant no more.

One of the BEST Kebobs I have ever eaten: the taste of their kebobs is unique. We also really liked the "Spinach & Beans" curry. Wonderful experience here. Shiraz Restaurant has become our favorite restaurant and we go very often.

Terrible food just like all persian restaurants in Edmonton. (There's no good persian restaurant in Edmonton) The price is good and the portion is quite large. You wouldn't see the waiter after ordering the food. Once there was no waiter or waitress and the owner took the orders and he freaking added tip on the bill (tipping the owner for showing up once and just taking the order?!?!) The owner is a nice person though.

Too small space, not good for big families or groups .The chairs were making cracking noises, I felt they might break any time. The tables were not clean and we had to sit down at one of them then he came to wipe it. Food Is fatty and too much rice and less piece of lamb hiding underneath the rice. Even the chicken looked weird and my daughter refused to eat it, there were no sauces with the rice and we had a small bowl of soup instead of the sauces. I had stomach aches for two days after I ate their food

Kebab restaurant that is highly recommended to check out. They have ground beef, ground lamb, steak and chicken kebab skewers that are very tender and cooked delicious (With excellent marination mmm!!). Serves food with rice that has saffron sauce on partially along with BBQ peppers and tomatoes. Yogurt drinks from Iranian style sweet and a sour one. Very good customer service and affordable prices that are $14 for a platter which is a huge portion, I couldn’t even finish it every time I went. Must check out.

Initially the food looked promising. However, when the food arrived we were all quite shocked. Despite the fact the quantity was good, the presentation of the food anything but creative.
