It's a camp. The food is pretty good the beds were good as far as camp beds go and you have private bathrooms. But if you are here its probably not by choice.

The dinner is pretty good, the rooms all have separate bathrooms and showers and the WiFi is good (for a camp anyways). I had a bed that was worn in and bowed, but after I rotated the bed it wasn't as bad

Their food is awesome. Nothing is bland most camos food has such great potential but taste like nothing or the ocean. These cooks got it going on. Wouldve given 5 stars but the rooms are small. You'd think you where up by high level in a rig camp. But the food makes up for it. Friendly staff and clean facilities.

Decent food, if your dairy sensitive not many options but, nice and clean. Staff are ok and the rooms are clean. Could use better basics in the vending machines.

I recently stayed at West Kakwa Lodge for about 2 months and as far as working camps go, this is one of the best I’ve stayed at (and I’ve stayed at many). Each room has its own private washroom and the camp is kept very clean; I’d always see Ariel keeping the main entryway/hallway spotless. The gym has a good selection of cardio and weight training equipment, and is open around the clock. The cafeteria has something for everyone at all times, but if that doesn’t do it for you, there are vending machines in the main hallway with various treats & drinks. The kitchen staff were great! I had the pleasure of interacting with Ryan, Ross, Daren, Husain and Habtom the most. I looked forward to their jokes and banter, and they always made a point of letting me know what vegetarian options were available that day (excellent customer service)! The cleaning staff always did an awesome job; Thembisa and Hoora were just two of the many friendly cleaning staff who were always energetic and personable. The only real downside was that the cell service and WiFi wasn’t always reliable (what do you expect in a remote camp?), but that’s not enough to give less than 5 stars, based on everything else. I would happily stay at the West Kakwa Lodge if I’m ever working down the Husky Road again.

Wifi only works sometimes and when it do it’s really slow. Can’t even call half the time. The management don’t care either. Go to a different camp if you have the choice.

Oh my GOD ! The food is amazing. I'll defiantly put some weigth in here. Best food I had ever had even better than 5 star resorts! Is amazing. The GYM is good for cardio heaviest dumbbell is 50.

Accommodations are nice and staff is friendly but the food is just ok. A big part of camp is food and this one leaves something to be desired. Limited servings from the kitchen at dinner time make it really hard to get enough protein. Small servings of protein per plate and no second helpings. Lots of sugary snacks and cereals available. The sandwiches are so skimpy on the protein you need to take 3 and disregard the bread from two of them just to make a half decent sandwich.

Well it feels more like a home not like other camps I have stayed at, food is good and actually has flavour, staff are friendly and every room has it's own washroom/ shower. Downside is that the rooms are small, beds are small (like most camps), no blackout curtains (if you are on night shift) But overall this camp is nice and I would stay here again if working away from home.
