Tired decor, dirty dining room. The pasta was burned. The mac and cheese sauce tasted more like roux than cheese. The meatballs were grey and lifeless, and the garlic toast was a limp soggie hoagie bun with a light toast around the edge. 2 pasta dishes and a single order of garlic cheese toast cost $46

I did not find the quality or value in my order , I ordered a large size Caesar salad which Contained what appeared 1/4 cup bagged parm cheese , completely disproportionate for the amount of lettuce provided Which was partially wilted , for 17.95 plus 6.00 for a not fresh chicken breast. And an additional 2.00 for extra dressing which was not fresh ( congealed ) but good tasting . So 26.00 for lettuce / parm ( I held croutons ) and a refrigerated breast of chicken. Caution when making a similar order.

I wasn't impressed. The caesar salad was oily and way too garlicky. My daughter's pasta was salty. It was our first time so we didn't know how it worked and one of the staff told us to sit down and someone would come to the table. After 10 minutes we figured out that wasn't going to happen and we had to go to the counter.

You get to pick your pasta and sauce, or you can order Mac & Cheese, Lasagna, etc.. If you order the large while dining in you get unlimited pasta; all you can eat if you’re up for that. Service is fast and friendly every time I’ve been. They serve gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. I really like their veggie pasta sauce as it’s not just cheap marinara (like most pasta places.) It has real vegetables and great flavour. Feels safe and sanitized during these times.

Went for our first time tonight after wanting to try it for a while. We were so impressed! The food is hot and delicious, the portions are freaking enormous, but what is so remarkable is the staff! Every single person working tonight was incredible. They’re all super friendly and very helpful. They noticed right away that we had never been to Pasta Pantry and explained how to order and what our options were. Every time we interacted with any of the staff, they were smiling and very eager to help, which seems rare in this city. They’re so amazing, I joked about trying to steal them to work for my store! They obviously enjoy working here. It really makes a difference. We will definitely be back.

Chicken was very dry and over cooked and so was the lasagna. Flavors were not that great. Was mediocre tasting food. Pesto was really gross. Meat balls were good and great service but food was expensive and not very good. We wont be back.

I cant say enough about the food quality and staff. Pasta Pantry is my favorite restaurant hands down. The best meatballs, sausage and fresh pasta I have ever had. If you are thinking pasta, you need to try Pasta Pantry. Staff are always pleasant and helpful, which only adds to great experience! Take out is easy and quick with very convenient containers!

Forgot how much I love this place. We used to bring the kids here after swim meets when they were starving. Stopped in to get some takeout today when I was in the area, I love the texture of the pasta, the Cesar dressing is house made and super flavourful.

Went to the manning location. ordered a regular size pasta and the portion is pretty small for $10. All the pasta is sitting in large pots and ended up being kind mushy. The meat sauce was pretty good though. Probably won't return.

Absolutely fabulous. Mac & Cheese with their Alfredo sauce is magnificent. The portion sizes are HUGE and you definitely walk away satisfied and full. The front line staff were awesome, super friendly and helpful. This is my first experience here; the owner came over to my table, asked how things were, if I needed anything and we chatted for a little while. Super personable atmosphere and I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great meal!

Went last night to the manning crossing location and was so disappointed.had half alfredo and half 4 cheese sauce, alfredo was bland had no flavor other then salt and the 4 cheese sauce was even worse didn't taste like cheese at all and was even more salty then the alfredo. Pasta was also extremely undercooked and cold. For 2 kids and 1 large with only 1 fountain pop cost $30 way over priced for the quality/taste of food. The staff where amazingly friendly and helpful though. Definitely wont be back.

Sad to have to change my review. Honestly the quality has decreased and the prices have increased. When I was last in I got a large pasta to go (due to covid) and there are essentially no sauce on half of the noodles. Pretty disappointed as I was trying to treat myself but I could make the same at home for a couple dollars.

Service was great, but wasn't blown away the food. Husband had a large with two different kinds of pasta. I had a regular. Regular size was enough food for dinner and the next days lunch! Truthfully, the pasta itself tasted better the next day. The chicken parmigiana was okay, the chicken was overcooked. The spicy tomato sauce on the pasta was pretty good, but on the oily side. The husband thought the Bolognese sauce was too sweet. The other downside was price. Felt like it was expensive considering the quality of food. We both said we'd have preferred eating at olive garden. I will say again, the staff were great. Friendly and courteous.

This is the best family owned business around. All of the food is homemade with care, and always the best quality. Sherwood Park + Manning Town Centre are blessed to have this restaurant. I was there today when after I got 2 refills I got another refill and said that I could take it home they said I would let you go only today and now our family may not go ever back until they change this or this policy. My dad said next time they say this to me I should than ask them where do you guys put the food that hasn’t been eaten after your done. We came to the Pasta Pantry to pick up our large order for the family (the food was warmed/cooked there) the 14th of July. When we arrived we tried to pay but their payment system was down. Obviously it was of no fault of the staff, as technical difficulties like this do happen. What really made the our experience stand out was how the staff were quick thinking on their feet, thinking outside the box and how they still we're able to accommodate all the customers. The staff were amazing and should be recognized! We would definitely come to this location again. This experience as created our loyalty to this brand and location.

I was looking so forward to the new Manning location. But pasta is simple, and was confused with the menu. Wife had the fresh pasta (reg size) with a chicken parmesan and a ceasar salad. I had half mac and cheese and half house style lasagna with a ceasar salad. Homemade ceasar dress was water with a lot of crushed garlic. Pasta was over cooked in a warming pan. For $48 I'd expect fresh pasta. And yes $48 with no drinks or dessert is really over priced. To go order

One of my absolute favourite places to grab a quick bite. The pasta is awesome (go for the pasticcio every time) and the Cesar salad is incredibly garlicky. Go enough times and you really feel like family. Great service, good food, what more can you ask for?

Quality wasnt tha greatest and the prices were way too high for a fast food type of place. Selection is okay, 3 sauces and a few different type of noodles. But 3 dishes shouldn't cost you more than $40. Way too in my opinion. Probably my last time going there.

All the good reviews that I have read about Pasta Pantry are true. The quality of food are close to perfection I don’t usually ate spicy food however after I tried to order their Fresh Linguini Pasta topped with Home made Hot Italian Sausage Sauce and pamper myself with side of Italian Sausage pair with their San Pelligrino drink it was to die for .The bonus part is the friendliness of the genuine staff knows how to give their personal recommendations. Pasta Pantry is my favourite Italian Restaurant! They also served Gluten Free Pasta and Sauce and also Vegan Sauce in short this restaurant cater to all our health restrictions. Kudos to Pasta Pantry been in business for almost 26 years and now opening their door to Northside fanatics located at Manning Town Centre!

The food quality and service deserves 5 stars, but they have really cut down on portions lately. It’s obvious when they are filling the container with pasta but recently when I got home with my order I had to open a jar of spaghetti sauce to supplement the meat sauce which was not nearly adequate for the amount of pasta.

Not bad, just not that good either. The food selection was limited to a few premade pastas in a serving tray over a heater plus some sauces in separate trays. A couple of the selections seemed visibly old with burn marks around the trays, we avoided those. The biggest challenge was their pricing. You buy a regular size bowl at whatever price and the plain sauce is included. You buy a large bowl at a slightly higher price and you can get unlimited pasta with sauce. At face value, that is an alright deal, the challenge is when you want a meatball or some sausage you have to buy them separately. So we all got the regular bowl with some meatballs and it skyrocketed our bill for a family of four. To be fair, the lady was very clear on this option. Our challenge was that you ended up feeling as if you overpaid for this meal if you got any of the meat options. So price might be comparable to a traditional sit down restaurant's price, but the perceived value was not there. Partly with an older buffet type feel, the unlimited option, and the pricey addons it felt overpriced. In the end, the pasta was not bad, wasn't great either and the service was pretty good.

Cafeteria style service. Staff were very helpful except once we ordered things moved along very slowly. Pasta was put on our plates, then pushed along the counter where the sides were added which took more time, then pushed down the counter again where our sauce was added. Then more time while the plates were put on a tray and our beverages were added, start to finish was over ten minutes and things are going to cool off. We paid and unfortunately the long process resulted in our food being warm, not hot. This has to be done much quicker especially when there was no one ahead of us. Other than that, the food though only warm was fantastic. Salad fresh, pasta so good and the Italian sausage and chicken parmesan rate five stars. We will give them another try for sure! ⭐️????????????

My brother and I both went today and got the macaroni and cheese dish. My brother got the last of the old serving and I got a fresh one. He commented that I was lucky as the fresh stuff is best. Hearing this the lady serving us took his order back and served him from the fresh batch. We both enjoyed the delicious food and were grateful to the employee for going above and beyond for us. We will definitely be returning on the future.

I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this great restaurant. Well it was a terrific evening and the venue was absolutely the reason for that outstanding celebration. The crew helped in a gorgeous style, the cuisine was appetizing and my friends were extremely glad. We shall surely return for more events. thanks very much.

Pasta Pantry is my family's favourite local "fast food" joint! A family owned business that offers delicious homemade italian style dishes at reasonable prices (and an added bonus of a frequent buyer card). They have friendly and efficient employees and a great system for filling orders quickly while you wait. For events and large family gatherings, you can pre order large quantities of your favourites. The only issue I have (and have had for a number of years) is with the styrofoam take out containers that are used for all take out orders. If they switched to environmentally friendly packaging, they'd have a 5 star review for sure!!! 2019 Update *** as promised 5 stars ⭐️ for eliminating the styrofoam take out packaging !!! A big thumbs up ????????

Absolutely terrible..... I was really looking forward to eating here as the reviews were so good, however the food was not even edible. I returned it and just asked for a salad, which was also unsatisfactory. I left hungry and out $16. I ordered Alfredo, it was thin, watery, and tasteless when it should be creamy and thick. The pasta was cold, the noodles were poorly cooked :( I cannot express how terrible tasting it was.... I’m hungry and now I have to go home and cook dinner. The staff were very very nice though; would give the staff 5 stars, the food zero.

Food wasn't all that great and the service was horrible. We reserved a high chair and when we arrived all the high chairs were occupied. I ordered gluten wise pasta and the lady bitched saying it needs to be ordered 2-4 hours in advance. It was my first time here... Thanks. Then we placed our order and weren't charged for the soup or 1 pop we ordered. When we brought that up, we were charged for a soup and 2 pops. We said we only asked for one, however we would pay for the 2 so there wasn't further confusion. Then 3 different servers approached our table asking if we wanted waters. Each time we said yes, and after the 3rd time, waters finally showed up.

Prices a bit higher than most "fast food" (average $12-20 per person depending on your meal and extras) but we'd rather pay more than to eat crap. The fresh homemade pasta was delicious, and the staff were excellent. We came in with a group of 6 and sat around for a couple of hours. We didn't realize that they closed at 8pm and the staff were so polite and patient. We only realized that they were closed because we looked around and everyone was gone. This place isn't good for eating at, at all! Their food is Ok.... but their employee's fight and most of the time they r not nice. Their portions aren't the same every time and their prices are not worth going. $15 for a large pasta that's not even the Mac and cheese or linguini. I would not recommend it would be a waste of your time. I'd rather go to red robins, because even they can give you more food for cheaper.

The food here is good, but their pricing on Take-out is way overpriced. You can stay in the store (which is quite small) and have unlimited pasta yet they charge the same amount for the same items when you choose to get it "To-Go", but they will not give you more than their standard To-Go Box - which makes no sense. So basically, if you want to sit in their restaurant taking up valuable seating space you are rewarded with unlimited food but if you choose to go home to eat allowing them to get more customers in and out of their restaurant you're penalized for helping them have a higher turnover of customers... not sure that's a great business model. But hey what do I know...

The caeser salad dressing is AMAZING (and full of garlic lol) their pesto is also top notch. My recommendation is your fav pasta with their Alfredo sauce, topped off with their pesto, as well as a caeser salad with extra dressing! MMM...

This is a restaurant you want to visit if you love authentic Italian Pasta. The original owners came from Italy and have passed on the Trattoria to their son who continues the great food and friendly atmosphere that his parents were known for.The menu includes fresh & crispy salads, a variety of pasta's, a variety of sauces, pesto, antipasto, chicken parmesan, meatballs, all the way thru to desserts - their most known dessert their Tiramisu. They even prepare large trays of pasta and dessert for hosting events! TheTrattoria is often a very busy place for take-out and eat in especially at the dinner hour so either be early or expect to wait in line (its worth the wait)!

The place had a lineup right to the door. Upon entry you get a first whiff of a pretty good tomato based sauce. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member who was also quite cheerful. The food was quite good and reasonably priced, not to mention that the atmosphere enjoyable. The place is clean, but can be little noisy due to the family atmosphere and the little ones running around.

Meeeehhh.... Don't recommend the gluten free pasta... I pre ordered over the phone. Went in to pick up and grabbed a few other selections as the rest of the family loves the food here. Got home... Gluten free pasta... Hard... Not fully cooked... Sigh... I called back and asked if they could remake my order I brought the uncooked order back.. No problem. I arrived to grab second order. Im hungry, just wanna eat... Sigh... It's chewy and hard. Hardly enjoyable ???? disappointing for a pregnant momma just craving some pasta ???? however, the way they handled and dealt with the situation was very professional, and I was very pleased and they happily gave me my money back. We'll still continue to come for the regular selections, and MAYBE they can start making their own gluten free pasta ????????????????????

The menu may be limited but everything tastes great. My kids love it! The staff is all fairly young so you would expect less than stellar service, but they're friendly, attentive, and work well as a team. The caesar salad doesn't have the best dressing but its still a good meal when you add the Tuscan chicken breast to it.

Ordered take out for 3. It was our first time ordering. Came out to 70 bucks with some salads included and it was like a notch above ravioli in a can. Not enough sauce you need extra forsure and then maybe more. I got what they refer to as their version of "lasagna" which was like goulashed different kinds of pasta. Some pieces doughy and starchy and some soggy. For the price... Not worth it. Would rather take out pasta at BP's. On the plus the salads were very clean and fresh but not a fan of the italian and cesar dressing... it almost had like a raw garlic or horseradish aftertaste.

Second day of school today and early dismissal! Whaaat! So we decided to take the kids swimming at Kinsmen and when we went to pay we were told it was FREE! Nathan at Pasta Pantry had paid for the entire pool rental for 2 hours! Then we recieved vouchers for a FREE meal at Pasta Pantry! My family of 5 had a great pasta dinner on the house! Not very much free in this world anymore so just wanted to say THANK YOU to Nathan and the staff for making our day great and being such awesome Sherwood Park community members!

Pasta Pantry has been a staple since I was a child. It has a friendly neighborhood vibe to it and the staff greet you with positive energy and smiles. Their storemade pasta is outstanding and their sauces and spicing is consistently fresh. The price point is above average, especially considering that pasta is cheap, however, the cleanliness, friendliness, and quality of the establishment make it worth returning to on a regular basis. Fantastic! All you can eat pasta and a Coke machine that dispenses Orange Vanilla Coke? (Which normally can't be found in Canada) I'm in heaven! The pasta tastes delicious and the sauces are great. Start with a 4 cheese white sauce and maybe on the next bowl try the spicy sausage. Awesome! Edmonton needs more restaurants like this!

Ordered 2 pans of pasta, one alfredo and one with meat sauce. Was supposed to feed 6-10 people each. Lots of food but way overpriced for what you get, $170.00 for 2 pans of pasta? Part of the cost was a baking fee. At that price I think they could have cooked it for free. Quantity was good but quality and price left a lot to be desired.

I have known a few individuals who have worked here in the past who all claimed the owner was terrible to work for due to inaccurate pay, no pay for mandatory overtime, not allowing breaks if busy or short staffed etc. I, myself, have dealt with the owner at my own workplace on several occasions in which he was incredibly disrespectful, demanding and difficult to deal with. Despite this, I have been to the restaurant a number of times as pasta is my favourite food and takeout is convenient. My most recent visit will be my last as I was incredibly disappointed to see how much the prices have increased, despite the poor quality and decreased quantity of food. I spent a small fortune on pasta for two and it tasted like cardboard. Absolutely would not recommend supporting this restaurant or it’s owner.

Called in to inquire about the lasagna. Specifically asked if it was baked with cheese on top. I was told yes, as well in the middle. Called back to order after speaking with my crew ... was told very rudely they do not take over the phone orders, to order online. Went online to order, and their "chow now" ordering is not very clear when it comes to sides like meatballs . Did not give an option to order meatballs per dish, was only offered to order for all. My son picked up and drove 35mins home. We received a call asking if we ordered 3 or 4 meatballs... communication break down. I said "I ordered 4 orders of 3" the reply was ok we sent 3. 4 orders of 3 = 12... we received 3 meatballs. Pasta had NO cheese it was simply mixed noodles and meat sauce . Was bland and over cooked.
