Mercers provided the catering for a spectacular outdoor wedding this past August. As you can imagine the attention to detail is that much more difficult for an outdoor event where you are starting with a blank slate. The staff, service and quality of food was top notch and i would highly recommend Mercers for any event, big or small. I will definitely be booking them again. Thank you Mercers!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the 3 course plated dinner at a recent wedding I went to. The salad was lovely and even had edible flowers and beautiful fruits. I absolutely loved the lamb appetizer which was being served as we arrived at the reception venue. What really stood out was the service; staff serving appetizers made sure to come around to offer food to guests more than just once, which typically, doesn't tend to happen. The beef was delicious and the little garnishes of sweet potato puree was very tasty. Great food, great service and great drinks!

Mercers catering catered our 60 guest wedding in July 2021. We opted for a cocktail hour, 3 course plates dinner and dessert. Jyoshna and David were incredibly accommodating and professional. We are so thankful for all that they did for us including: organizing a private tasting to better suit our schedules, offering 3 different entree options to our guests (instead of the standard 2), and quickly adapting to unforeseen dietary restrictions during the day of the event. Besides being extremely professional, the food was both equally beautiful and delicious. Our guests raved about the stunning presentation of everything from the cocktail hour to the desserts. We also hired the Mercers team to run our bar service. They were very timely, organized and kept the drinks flowing all night. We so appreciate all the hard work they put into making sure our event went perfectly. Thank you David and the Mercer’s team! You are all amazing!!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with the team at Mercer's Catering for a mutual client for their wedding. David Martin was diligent in answering emails and inquiries in the lead up to the wedding, and made a point on site to ensure all went smoothly. They were quick on their feet whenever a change in plan happened, and jumped in where the work needed to be done to ensure top client satisfaction. The meal itself was excellent, some of the top food I've had at a wedding as a vendor, and I secretly hope our line of work brings us back to Edmonton just so I can enjoy their meal again! Top quality people, and excellent service. Would highly recommend! We used Mercer's catering for our wedding reception two days ago, and overall the food, the customer service and the price were all so fantastic! From starters Jyoshna is great to work with as she is always responsive to my emails and phone calls in terms of inquiring, making changes to orders and food, customizing our menu etc. The price is very reasonable with the quantity and quality of food we received (check their website for price list). They charge a small fee for set up and delivery but it was all worth it! They also provide chafing dishes which is something that some other catering companies won't provide. Their made our reception so stress-free and easy for our small backyard reception. All our guests loved her food and can't stop eating!

We used Mercer's Catering for a small home party this January. (35 people). The whole process was quick and easy with great customer service. They delivered and picked up everything on time. We ordered the Hearty Fare Appetizer Menu. The quality of the food was unbelievable! We received so many compliments from our guests! We contracted Mercer's Catering to provide food for our wedding reception in August. Given the concerns about COVID, they were extremely accommodating and careful. Their food was delicious; the butternut squash ravioli in particular was a hit with everyone. They were prompt in organizing a site visit and making last minute changes to the number of guests, and during the event they stayed later than required. We would highly recommend them for any catering event.

I greatly enjoyed a wedding I attended catered by Mercer's this summer. The food was absolutely amazing. I don't know how they managed to serve such great food to so many people at once while keeping it so fresh. We were greeted at the door by some amazing lamb "lollipops and mini shrimp avocado soups. Dinner was steak and it was done perfectly. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating.

We had the pleasure of having Mercer's cater our wedding on June 25, 2016. Jill, Bruce and the entire staff at Mercer's did an amazing job from start to finish! We were very impressed with their professionalism and the quality service we received. Our guests were raving about the food and we thought it was so delicious! They went above and beyond our expectations in every aspect. Even with our special request of a mashed potato bar, they went the extra mile to really make our vision come to life. Our reception space was unique to say the least and they were more then willing to come out for a site visit prior to our wedding which eased a lot of our worries in terms of logistics. They even made sure that our guests who needed a little extra help were looked after and they were so helpful throughout the evening. The night went off without a hitch and we are so glad we chose Mercer's Catering. We couldn't imagine anyone else doing a better job. We would highly recommend them for all your catering needs.

I am very grateful for my friend who recommended Mercer’s Catering Services on Facebook. I decided to utilize their services for our family Christmas dinner. We were absolutely delighted with their service from start to finish. They were exceptionally professional with obvious high customer service standards. From the time Jasmine and Jyoshna facilitated the menu choices right up to the time that Bob made his entrance into our home to set up all the spectacular food for our piping hot meal, we could not have been more delighted. The entire meal was second to none! There is no doubt that we WILL utilize Mercer’s catering to take the stress out of celebrating our family’s future gatherings - regardless of the occasion. “The magic of Mercer’s” indeed"!

Unfortunately I cannot give any more than 2 stars, for this catering company due to poor management and disorganization of their staff; there quality of food paid the price at my son’s wedding. Paid for a sit down service and failed to perform. Started late servings of the hot food resulted in food being cold, some tables not receiving the correct food amount for the number of quests at the table. Staff with unprofessional behavior, when guests asked for more food, when short, and other tables had too much food, Some quests not receiving what was listed on food menu. The experience was not pleasant, when your here these problems from your quests. You be the judge and make sure this does not happen at your event.

The food, presentation and professionalism of the staff was amazing. Mercer's catered our wedding on June 11, 2016 and did an absolutely superb job. Everyone said that the food was great and there were no complaints. The manager on site during the wedding made sure that everything we needed was taken care of.... Mercer's catering was so GREAT to deal with. We originally had planned for a 130 person buffet dinner, then COVID hit. We had to scale back our person count down to 50 we decided to goto a plated dinner just a few weeks before our wedding. Joshyna made it sooooo easy for us to switch from buffet to plated and the level of customer service received was above & beyond. We had some passed tray apps for cocktail hour, 3 course meal for dinner and then a midnight snack of tacos in a bag. ALL of our guests raved about how amazing all of the food was. THANK YOU so much Mercer's.

I don't normally write a review, but I think you guys deserved from props. I've been down to the Brownlee building's cafeteria a couple times to grab something to eat over the past few months. I tried a few different things, including the vegan items. This a great place to stop (I'm happy the caferia is even open) considering COVID times and that lots of people are working from home. They have a great selection (although limited, probably due to Covid). Thanks for staying open!

My building recently got your company to prepare the food for our cafeteria. The food is mostly good however the selection sucks. it is the same thing everyday/week including the soups and specials. The previous company had a much bigger selection of food to buy at a more reasonable price. When a fries and gravy costs $5.50 (gravy is $1.50) but to get a poutine you only need to add another $.25, there is something wrong with the pricing. Gravy should not cost more than cheese curds. A hotdog should not be $5.95. When you order something 4 times and it comes with particular things on it each time and then you order it the 5th time and it doesn't; you are told oh that is extra, you have to ask for it because it costs extra. However the previous 4 times you didn't ask for it at all and were given it without an extra cost, it doesn't make sense. Constantly running out of food, as I believe it is made off site and brought in? Maybe try utilizing the kitchen on site and increase your selection? I think, Mercer's Catering should stick with catering only and not running a cafeteria in a professional building. On a positive note though, the Vegans in the building are somewhat more happier as they do have food for them, as long as it isn't out of stock that is.

Throughout the months of planning especially with COVID, Lu Qi was extremely kind and professional in helping plan all the details to ensure that everything would arrive smoothly and be served accordingly. I absolutely loved the individual packed lunches that they provided for us; they tasted amazing (especially the BBQ Beef on a Bun) and it helped make the clean up so easy and COVID friendly. Mercer's were easy to work with and accommodated our change of wedding date due to covid. The food was delicious and their tasting dinner was nicely set up as well. The staff were nice and handled everything expertly at our venue. One complaint which doesn't necessarily negate 5 stars, is that for the late night lunch we ran out of food. They asked how many people would be partaking, and we estimated generously, but only about 2/3rds of our guests ended up having the food from the late night lunch, it is possible guests took more than normal since it was so good. There was plenty of food for the dinner however. So our only complaint was that we did not know the late night portions were so small, as we would have ordered more if we knew. For numbers: ~80 Guests ordered 80 dinners Late Night lunch ordered for 60 people, less than 40 had the late night lunch. We also picked up napkins and glasses early for set up the day before, which was easy and convenient

Mercer's recently catered lunch for my mom's memorial service. Great food and service, they also did a special desert that we had asked for. Very happy with them and would recommend them highly.

We are both incredibly thankful for Phaedra’s support and great suggestions while planning our wedding dinner! Mercer’s was so helpful from start to finish during the planning of our wedding. Phaedra’s suggestions on the quantity was great! I would hate to have been short, increasing our numbers was perfect! I highly recommend the menu tasting as we were able to increase our numbers on our favourite hordeurves which were unbelievably delicious! A special thanks to Rose who was our Server for the event!! She was so professional and took great care to make sure everything was perfect for our day! She made sure glasses were full, touched base with us, the food was hot and plentiful! The kitchen was spotless before she left. The day couldn’t have been better!! Everyone wanted to know who we hired because the food was delicious and the catering staff was incredibly professional! I was a guest at a wedding catered by Mercer's catering and I cannot say anything but great things about them!! The food was delicious, and the presentation was outstanding (Instagram worthy for sure!!). The staff were super friendly and helpful and professional! I also have a gluten allergy and they were very knowledgeable and accommodated all my needs and answered all my questions with a smile. Try the beef brisket, just try it!!! It was out of control delicious!! And there was an appetizer with shrimp and avocado soup -- pure heaven!! Got to meet the owner and she is lovely and so cool! Overall super pleased with my experience!!!

I entered a contest to win lunch for my workplace through the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. Mercer’s provided prompt service and also allowed for a vegetarian option to be added to our order. The chicken teriyaki bowl was delicious. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have a meal catered to their location.

We recently held our daughter's wedding at The Oasis Centre in Edmonton and had Mercer's cater the event. Everything was top notch, from beginning to end! Jill Mercer and her staff were attentive to every question and detail. Always prompt with responding to emails and open to ideas, as well as offering great money saving suggestions! Our guests have raved about the food. From Mercer's own sweet and salty popcorn, the bacon wrapped appetizers, the roast beef buffet to the gourmet hot dog, midnight lunch, it was all fabulous! My daughter and her new husband feel that they had the greatest wedding day and some of that can be attributed to the ease of working with Mercer's Catering and treating their guests to the deliciousness of their food!

Mercers catered our 70 person wedding. Jyoshna was amazing, we really enjoyed working with her. As for the food, we had a lot of people with gluten allergies at our wedding so opted to have an all gluten free menu and Mercers was phenomenal at ensuring that everything we had was gluten free. Every guest commented on how delicious the food was. Our only complaint was that for a dessert bar after the buffet there was not much of a selection, many of our guests did not get dessert as we had only gotten a small wedding cake for ourselves. There were also some small clerical errors but they were quickly rectified by Jyoshna. I would absolutely work with Mercer's again for other catered events!

We just had lunch catered at our office from mercer’s It was outstanding. Really great sandwiches that we really delicious. For the price we got several large sandwich plates and some great salads. Desert was great as well. Way more than we could eat. Everybody took some doggy bags home. I highly recommend them.

Mercer’s Catering hosted our wedding recently. From day one Mercer’s was supportive, thorough, transparent and delicious. My partner and I were not able to attend the tasting but our family suggested we go with Mercer's as our last tasting with another company was horrible. We couldn’t be more thrilled for the level of service, the quality of food and just overall amazing atmosphere and relationship Mercer's created since the beginning. We had many guests who were gluten-free and dairy-free and they more than accommodated.Biggest compliments to the Chef. Everything was so delicious, so many people loved the mango chicken and the home-made vinaigrette dressing on the salad, as well as the chicken skewers...I could go on and on. Also, the servers deserve a huge thank you. They were so attentive to the whole bridal party, anything that was asked they more than delivered, and every guest felt the level of comfort and support delivered by Mercer's staff. I believe it was Sergio(spelling?) who was in charge of head table service...wow! He was amazing. so many compliments from everyone. Again, I would HIGHLY recommend Mercer's.
