Staff is really good, my wife and I ate yesterday there, pork , chicken an some veggies. We got sick, I am siii vomiting and with diarrea this morning,and I can not miss work today. I am so sorry, but people needs to know. We probably were unlucky.

Let me start off by saying that it's REALLY hard to find a good Filipino restaurant in Edmonton without spending an arm and a leg for dinner. With that said, this place blew my mind. Really friendly staff and the food was probably as close to my mom's home cooked food as I'll get. Would really recommend checking this place out.

Super pinoy turo turo type of kitchen. If you are lazy to cook this is the place to be. They serve free turon on your first visit. I hope until now they still do. Closed during Mondays and Tuesdays I think(?). Friendly store owner amd staff. One staff can give you a detailed description of each Filipino food if you wanna know it.

Craving for authentic Filipino dishes... Then this is the place to go. I personally order their ”turon” which is a sweetened banana with jackfruit inside. I also love their ginisang mongo which they serve every Friday. The staff is beyond exceptional. It passed my Filipino palette.

I have had takeout from Kusina twice, it was delicious both times. There is new selections everyday so I was able to try a few different items each time. There was very good variety...I had a curry chicken, beef stew, minced pork. The food was fresh and tasty, portion sizes were generous both times- it was very satisfying. The food/portions/service is very consistent. Ed and Appo were very friendly and helpful, explaining what each dish was and making suggestions on what to choose. See you again!

The turo-turo style is good as there are lots of different dishes to choose from. I like the bulalo and pinakbet dishes. For dessert, the turon is crispy. However, The asado siopao needs improvement as the meat content is in small amount for a big bun and the taste is lacking in flavour. I appreciate the friendliness and hospitality of this family run business. I'll be back to try the other turo-turo dishes.

This place is AMAZING! Everyone that works here is so amazingly warm and kind they let us sample everything that was on the menu for the day and even gave us complimentary desserts for our first visit! This place is super cool because they have a different menu everyday and it's sort of set up buffet style where you can choose different items that come with either free rice or noodles.Everything is delicious and the service is absolutely amazing! Make sure you stop by here and tell your friends!!

When I first walked in to Kusina Filipino, I had no idea that I would be expanding my family. Not only are they some of the most beautiful people that I've ever met, but the food is out of this world fabulous! There is almost always something new to try, as well as the popular favourites which include soups and stews, curries and sweets. By now, we are all on a first name basis and the comfort and love that I feel there is the best appetizer there is! This is food that is truly cooked with love. I am glad all over to have them in my 'hood!

I've been going to Kusina Filipino for the past year whenever I feel like needing some warm, cozy, home-cooked style food. It was my first experience with Filipino cuisine and I love all their dishes, especially the ginataang kalabasa and dinuguan. The staff and owners are all very friendly and explained what all their dishes were to me. Quality, taste, and portion sizes are fantastic for the price!

I would like to give them 5 stars kasi masarap talaga luto nila! Almost everything we tried was really good, I highly recommend the kare kare and lechon paksiw. The halohalo was tasteless though, no sweetness at all and not enough beans and jelly. My kids did not enjoy it, for $7.00 it was not worth it. I am giving them three stars because for $9.99 you do get 2 ulam and rice, kaso super onti bigay nila! My take out container was so light and the ulam didn’t even touch the rims of the container! You will really get half of what you expect...kind of like a kids meal. My kare kare had only 2 small meat pieces in it and a few veggies, and same with my Lechon Paksiw. I hope they will fix this problem, I also had make extra rice at home just to fill me up. Customers shouldn’t need to do this!

Nice home-cooked style Filipino cuisine. Wonderful service and friendly environment. Food is tasty and genuine, and prices are very good. The eating area is small, though they also have patio sitting in nice weather. Large gatherings might not be suited for the location, but you can also get your food to go.

Good food with plenty of choices. Price is average but servings are generous. Staff are friendly. Could get very busy and plenty of people waiting in line. Place is very small with only one table for 4 and a tall table for a few long chairs on the side. I saw some small folding tables underneath but wonder where they can fit as the place really is small. The good food compensates that though thus the term 'take out' on the business name. There's parking for about 5 or 7 vehicles which is shared by the business beside it. That being said, I would recommend this place to my friends.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought about taking one star off because their online menu doesn't have pictures or descriptions (I'm not sure about their in person menu) so you're not sure what you're getting, but we ordered four dishes between four people and every one of them was a winner, so I figure you can't go wrong. We also got some spring rolls, which I initially thought were a little expensive, but oh no. Everybody needs to try them, they are delightful in every possible way. For one thing they're huge so they can actually fit strips of carrot and other veggies in there, and they just taste so good that we never even bothered trying the sauce that was provided, they were good on their own. Go try a spring roll, if you haven't yet (but you only need one per person). The portions were quite large, we were all full up and the leftovers are just as tasty the next day. I'm sure they'll update their online menu when they get to it, it is a small business after all, and they can only do so much. Overall, very pleased with our experience! It's out of the way for us, but we will most definitely be making the trip again.
