Beautiful course, very accommodating
One of the best private courses in the city. Awesome membership, staff and food. Feels like home, worth the drive!
Great course
Playef full 18 with friends yesterday. Fairways and greens in great shape
I made reservations outside on the patio. April 17, 2021 Beautiful ???? Day It was my husband and my 28th Anniversary. Such a Beautiful place ???? The food was Amazing! Also thank you to Paris our wonderful waitress for helping us celebrate our wonderful Day!! ♡ xo
It was good.
Dinner and the company were excellent
Good course
Amazing atmosphere
Wow what an absolutely great course. The course is in amazing condition and the food at the restaurant was so good! Definitely try their buffalo wings!
As the owner of DJ Eddie Black, I had a very good experience while performing music for a Wedding Ceremony and Reception/Dance at the Cottonwood Golf & Country Club. The grounds were gorgeous, amazing for photos. I would to add that as a Professional DJ, I was treated very well by the staff and they were very pleasant and accommodating. There is plenty of parking and it was very easy to load-in to the building. I am pleased to give them a 5 Star Review. Looking forward to many more fun events with you.
Good golf good food, but don't like 2 tables of 4 shoved together all young guys too many bodies, couple at next table obviously uncomfortable and moved.
We were not treated very well when visiting Cottonwood. The course is nice though.
Very nice and we'll maintained facility with very professional and friendly stuff.
i just started golfing two summers ago and had the pleasure of playing at the course but with a few slight issues that has happens between covid-19 and trying for 2/3 weeks to get tee time and i was very unsuccessful. I changed my mind about me having a membership there as it was impossible to book any tee times around my schedule so it did not make sense for me to pay for something i cant use. The manager Dax and myself tried to reach an agreement and could not come to an agreement on he basically said this is what were gonna do and that is that. One of the things they offed was for me to be able to put my deposit towards next year fees which i said thank you but i was no longer interested in being a member at the course when i have already been upset and frustrated Great course overall beautiful spot but if you value your money i would recommend another course.
Private Club, course in great shape this year.
Honestly I love the course, I came as a guest however the lounge is a mess. They maybe have 2 servers that know what is going on but the manager Iva doesn’t know right from left!!! She appears to be quite useless and hire employees who have no training at all (management fault) but something needs to change because I waited 20 minutes to be looked after, and she appeared to just sit there… other then that great course decent food.
In amazing shape!
Course in fantastic shape.
Had a golf tournament there and were treated very well. The room where we had dinner was rustic but had everything we needed. The catering staff were not always the easiest to deal with but the food was great and the course is in a beautiful setting. Everyone was top notch besides the catering staff. If it wasn't for that, I'd give them 5 stars.
Great golf course and the food in the dining room was excellent. Very friendly staff.
Love this course
One of my favorite courses that I am lucky enough to get to play every once in a while
Cottonwood is in awesome condition right now! I ate on the patio today and ordered the Curry Chicken Sliders. It was very good.
Beautiful place to play golf.
Great golf course, lots of variety.
Came here for a charity golf tournament and the course is absolutely beautiful. Very well maintained grounds with a separate space for private events so your group can stay together. The projector equipment was a bit older but it worked just fine. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful golf course, great food and excellent staff. Friendly community and the pro is very helpful.
Excellent golf course. Well-maintained, great amenities and friendly staff. In terms of difficulty, Cottonwood offers an intermediary challenge. There’s not a lot of water, and the rough isn’t too dense so that you can’t find your ball. The club house offers good food and drink as well with views of the course. All in all it’s a privilege to play on and always a good time.
I just photographed a wedding at the cottonwood Golf Course. It was a gorgeous course and I definitely recommend the staff and the food! everyone was super accommodating and amazing!
Wonderful Golf Course well maintained and great staff
I was thankful for the opportunity to join Cottonwood in 2016, but wanted to write a candid review of my year to hopefully help others in the same process. This wasn't my first year with a golf club so I was able to use other experiences as a benchmark. Overall, I was not very impressed, but there were some positives. Positives: -Michelle at the administrative office was very helpful throughout the year, including setting up payments, ect. - The course is very peaceful and secluded. Generally the course is well maintained. -The practice area is being rebuilt post flood from a few years ago. - The restaurant serving staff was very nice. -The golf club storage and maintenance staff was very kind and helpful. Generally, they were high school/ college age and very hard working. Negatives: -I wasn't overly impressed with the general manager Tiff. I had two fairly discouraging experiences with Tiff. Primarily, if you're hoping to use the membership to golf weekday evenings after work; this is not the course for you. Their weather and closure policy is tailored towards their primary demographic of older retirees. I understand most courses have an older demographic, but there were over 15 occasions when I wanted to golf and it was closed with no one on the course because of weather or a tournament earlier in the day . If Cottonwood held a tournament from 9-5, and it's great weather after 5:00PM, they would send most of the staff home and close the course making it impossible for someone to play 9 holes of twilight after work. This occurred 5-6 times throughout the season. In addition, if there were ever multiple thunderstorms earlier in the day, they would close the course down for the late afternoon/evening even if the course was dry and sunny. Once they have to bring people in twice, the course is closed for the rest of the day. The general level of tolerance for poor weather was shocking as well. Sometimes I would drive to to course without calling and it would be closed due to weather, I would drive past Carnmoney, Heritage Pointe, and Mackenzie meadows, and Blue devil on my way home to see all of them open with people on the course; this was very frustrating after 8-9 times. Given that I am unable to play during early times most days, this course was a very poor fit for me. -Since they're often closed for weekday twilight, I tried to play a quick 18 holes before work started. We were scheduled to be the 2nd tee time of the day around 6:30Am. I called the pro shop the night before to ask if I would be able to move ahead of the first time to play quickly. They advised that I should show up early and speak to the marshall and perhaps he would let us out earlier. We showed up, spoke to the marshall, he said we could go first if we played quickly. So we tee'd off, and hurried down the fairway thus to not delay, only to have the pro Dale, chase us down from behind to belabour us for a few minutes! Then he explained we could either go back to the first tee and wait for our time or wait 20 minutes for the next group to come while we wait for our original foursome. Needless to say we weren't able to finish 18 and there was absolutely no reason for him to make us feel like we'd broken rules when we were given the "ok" by staff and marshall earlier. If we caught up to the maintenance crew, we would have no issues waiting or playing around them. -There is a food minimum at the club which isn't atypical for private clubs; I was accepting of this when joining. However, the method by which they update is only on a monthly basis, so when September 30th arrived (spending deadline), the was $120 required to be spent that wasn't. I asked Tiff if I would be able to enjoy the restaurant prior to October 10th (club closing date) to spend the $120. She completely ignored my request without response. -The food is below average at the club. -The club is full, tee times are hard to get last minute. I am very glad I didn't buy an equity membership before trying it for one season. There's a reason the share price is so low.
Good challenging track. Struggled with inconsistent sand traps. Maybe just me but I certainly found the hard pan on 12 green side bunker. Obviously everyone hits in there to avoid the water. Just sayin . . .
It's very pretty the mowing is amazing. The greens look healthy wet but not soft. The bunkers are raked to perfection
Very beautiful and it makes the drive worth it. As the drive and the course is beautiful.
Absolutely love playing at Cottonwood! The golf course is always in amazing shape and the service is second to none. I would highly recommend playing the course if you get a chance.
The most spectacular golf course we've ever seen! Extremely nice personal. We were super happy and excited to join this club.
This place is amazing, I just joined as a member and everyone has been very welcoming. Never having a membership before it has been an awesome experience so far, can't wait to golf many many rounds this summer!
Such a wonderful place, and the staff are great!
Hidden Gem. All the staff from the Pro-Shop to the kitchen go out of their way to ensure you feel welcomed and have a good time. The course is meticulously maintained and I've yet to see a course that grooms their bunkers in a similar way. Practice facilities are exceptional and you'd be hard pressed to find this quality of facility for the membership price point. Easily walkable with some great holes along the bow. 5 stars all the way.
Great course, friendly staff and yummy food in the clubhouse.
I was able to golf with a member today during twilight. This golf club was a pleasant course to play and they were very organized with the covid 19 practice's. The course was not too difficult because it was very forgiving. The scenery down in the coulee really made you appreciate the game. Playing along the bow river, sun setting and with good company I really recommend playing this course if you get the chance.
Great music taste 10/10
Great place great people
Great track, amazing shape
A very playable and walkable course. There are some challenging holes but they are not ridiculous. The course is very well maintained. The pro, Sean, and the rest of the staff have implemented a lot of improvements. The membership fees are very reasonable. The dining room has a good variety of food appropriate for a golf course.
Great walkable Golf Course
Private golf need to know a member. but great venue location for functions and restaurant to the public
Newly renovated dining & kitchen. More room for fun!!!
Great course, poor food
One of Calgary's golf gems. The course is in terrific shape, offers a good challenge. Staff is top notch and the clubhouse and proshop are well stocked with all your golf needs.
The experience was great. Beautiful place to play golf.. The only thing was the food wasn't that great but other than that its a wonderful golf course beside Bow River.
Beautiful grounds. Congrats groundkeeping crew.
A beautiful course. Tree lined beside the river. Fairways were green and the greens with lots of slope were perfect. One of the nicest courses around. Lots of the choices for every handicap . Love the course.
Very nice facility!
Fantastic golf course, very scenic, good layout and great food at the clubhouse
What a beautiful course!
Nice place for wedding, reception and dance.
A picturesque course along the Bow River, easy to walk with push cart, well maintained with great flower beds. Oh, and the golf is exceptional!
Be there for first time nice place like are out of town with nice forests arround you .
