Got a promotional letter from Whiterock VW offering me above market value on my current vehicle as well as up to $4250 off on a new purchase. I have previously worked out some numbers with another dealership closer to home. Now seeing this letter I decided to contact them. Since I don't live out that way, I specifically said unless this deal is true I don't want to go out there. Obviously it was too good to be, as I was later contacted via TEXT MESSAGE, not even a courtesy phone call, that "they have a good relationship with the other dealership and do not want to beat their offer". As a consumer of course I am looking to save money on a big purchase. If you cannot honour your promotions why bother toying with customers and their emotions. They are simply 1) unable to honour the promotion they are offering and 2) using the relationship with another dealership as an excuse to get out of their mess. Why not try to establish a relationship with (new) customers by trying to win them over? Needless to say I am thoroughly disappointed and will share this experience with friends and family.

Been planning on getting a new Golf for a few weeks now after hearing the model is leaving North America and my 2010 Jetta getting a bit cranky. Previously had an “ok” experience with this dealership years back, about 6 years ago. Long story short, their shuttle service wasn’t great. But, I was in the neighbourhood and was curious to see if the new management style changed anything. Boy was I happy I stopped by. Immediately went to the lot and was kindly greeted by Mo who saw me browsing Golfs. He immediately knew what I was looking for and we clicked immediately. Friendly, precise, confident service. I was picking a colour and confirming details with Rob the sales manager within 20 minutes after a quick test drive. One day later, deposit paid and insurance done I’m leaving with a new Golf highline right within budget. All on a “hunch.” Great service, reasonable pricing against the rest of the market, unbeatable warranty and get this: free car washes for life! Talk to Rob at this dealership. I can tell they’re motivated to get you the right price with top service while letting you feel like you’re making your own decision. Class act and a huge turnaround for this dealership.

I purchased a 2018 Q7 in November plus a set of winter tires. Included in the sale was tire storage for as long as I had the vehicle and car washes. I called over a month ago to get the tires changed back to the summer ones and they could not find them. They told me the second set of tires were in the vehicle when I received it, which was incorrect. I then called them each week and Neil told me twice he would get back to me the next day and did not. Last week, they did decide to supply me with a new set of tires and told me that they would not honour tire storage and that the person that washed the cars quit and that my car would not be washed.

My wife and I are no strangers to car dealerships, as we have purchased several vehicles throughout the years. As our second vehicle -purchased privately and lasted the longest...is getting up there in age and mileage, we decided to venture out to our neighborhood White Rock VW. Having had some negative experiences over the years with the majority of dealerships we dealt with, we were still cautiously optimistic. We were greeted by Rob Smith, who allowed us time to look at a few vehicles, answered several of our questions and sent us off to a couple test drives, hassle and pressure free. Once we decided on a beautiful blue Certified Preowned Golf Sportwagen, Rob walked us through some of our finance options that were simple and clear. Since it was Saturday, we left a deposit and decided to pick up the car a couple of days later, once they dealt with a couple minor cosmetic issues and detailed the vehicle. As soon as we arrived, Rob walked us right to our new car and started explaining how everything worked, including all the features of the infotainment system. Next was our meeting with the finance rep Gurpreet Basi, to go over and sign the paperwork. This is the part which I usually dread the most, as it is often a lengthy back and forth, emotionally draining experience. I was pleasantly surprised on how seamless the whole process was. Gurpreet was very thorough and did an amazing job explaining every little detail. All though we opted out of any additional warranty, Gurpreet was a true professional and walked us through all our options. After a quick meeting with a very pleasant insurance rep, we were on our way. It was so refreshing to have such a pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle. Did I mention we also got unlimited car washes and 2 gold detail packages:) Thank you Rob Smith and team!!!

Wow, what an incredible experience we had dealing with White Rock VW, and specifically Moe! They are a smaller dealer, so you get a much more personalized and better service all around. We both sold a Tiguan and bought a Touareg from Moe. He not only gave us a great deal on both, worked with our schedule and needs, but also managed to convince the service manager to repair some trims on the car for us, for free! Had an awesome time with Bryan, Rob and Graig. I took my time to decide on my Tiguan and never felt like I was being pushed or forced. Pricing is also excellent, which surprised me, as I’d expect a dealership all by itself in White Rock has bigger bills to pay. I’d like to preface this review by stating that I am not a fan of purchasing vehicles. I find the process long-winded, stressful, and tumultuous. However, after the interaction I had with Bailey at White Rock VW, I can whole-heartedly say that I was taken aback by how pleasant of an experience I had. Not only was she tactful and concise in her questioning, but she also removed a lot of the pressure many car salesmen/women place onto the buyer when browsing a dealership. She made me feel informed, welcomed, and most importantly, comfortable.
