WORST PLACE TO SHOP in Trenton. Go to Dollar Tree or Bargain Club where the service is much better and you get the same merchandise. Dollarama daily situation; 2 girls standing by the self checkout machines refusing to open a cash register. Meanwhile there is a mile long line of customers waiting for that ONE cashier to process everyone. Fed up of waiting, people give up and leave. Really, we don t have all that time to lose!! The machines 1 out of 2 will jam in the process of scanning . No wonder there is a need of 2 employees just to get those working again. This store used to be so busy...Not anymore, and it s not because of the pandemic. Never seen a store owner eager to put himself out of business.No wonder the + reviews date back to 3 yrs ago.

Staff was quickly moving people through cash and its the first dollar store i have seen with self checkouts. Attentive young man wiped each kiosk after every user. VERY high volume of people but staff was moving them through fast. Lots of staff throughout the store and all checkouts opens well as the self check out. Kudos to the staff as i was about tenth in line and didn't wait more than ten minutes. Man even took my basket after checkout with a wipe on his hand which he used to clean my basket and put it back in rotation. There's a store that's not afraid to spend money on staff to keep everyone safe Enjoy your day my friend. ????????

I love this store so very much because they pretty much have everything that you could possibly need and for a very low price. It's almost a steal. I always wonder how they were able to sell so many different quality products for between only $1-$4. I live only 3 minutes away and go to dollarama store more then I need to because i can always find something i have to have. Only down fall is that I did like the store better when everything was just $1 however, because they upgraded the quality of their products. It's worth every penny!

Usually I don't mind going to the Dollar Store dollar Rama Trenton Ontario but my last visit I was pretty upset with the store not one cashier behind the counter forced to use the automated service which I do not like technology in the first place nor do I believe technology should take the place of live people I had to cash out using a machine not pleased I don't care how many times or how many automated Services you have there should always be a person on cash at all times when the store is open also not happy with the store when they have the Isles block with people stocking shelves where it should be done on a night shift not during the day when there's customers clear your Isles get your customers as dense taco shells when the store is closed come on people get it together

This store has alot of neat and cheap stuff for sale, but I find the aisles way too narrow and small, I'm a big guy (tall 6'7", not a big stomach, lol) and if I come up to someone (or more than one person) it's easier I find to just turn around an d go back out the way I came instead of trying to get around them. Also I find alot of times they will only have 1 person working the cash and the line ups build up incredibly quickly. Now they will call in extra cashiers when they notice sometimes, but sometimes they dont notice, or they call someone that's on their break or that just doesnt come...so for me the line up is definitely the worst part of this place.

So as I was at the cash register, the cashier put all my items into one huge bag crushing many of the items on the bottom and bending the big Frisbee I was purchasing for my son. I said okay I need to go get a new frisbee as this one is now broken and if you don't mind watching my stuff while I switch it. I also said maybe it would be good to get another cashier as there is a lineup developing. I was getting a lot of attitude from the cashier as well as the other customers in line behind me, who I assume didn't really know what was going on and just thought I was an a******. Once I left the store I went to my car and sure enough, an old man who was in the store was now standing in front of my vehicle and not letting me leave. I asked him to kindly move and he said "well we all had to wait for you in the Dollarama in a very rude tone" and didnt want to hear any explanation... then he and his wife continue to say that I must think that I'm the king of the world and that the world revolves around me as they were getting into their car. I'm not sure if it's just cuz I'm in Trenton wearing a suit that these people think I am privileged, but they need to keep their assumptions to themselves. If you go to this Dollarama, just watch as they bag your stuff to make sure they don't break or bend anyting recklessly.

I went to Dollarama at the Trenton Town Center Dundas Street East Trenton. I went to cash out and asked for a cashier, as I did not want to use the self check outs. The girl said no we only have the self check outs and she would help me. Just wow.... Have never had any major issue with this place (enough to complain about) until today. Long story, short... The ONE Cashier had a massive attitude. Directing people where to stand in a very menacing tone and making up her own rules.. 5 minutes later another customer made a point that even if he was to use the self serve as we were all being harassed to do, he could not maintain a safe 6ft distance while passing everyone else in line. We were then told to stand directly where myself and one other customer were already standing when we got yelled at to let him pass. These new employees need to get better attitudes and if they are going to make up rules and direct people to make unsafe choices they need to at least stick to one direction and not change their decisions ????

I am appalled by my experience at this Dollarama. Today during business hours (Monday, 10:00am), I was very rudely kicked out of this store and escorted out because accordingly to the manager it was time to do "inventory". The man took my items from me, told me I was not able to purchase anything, and that I was to exit the store. The door was locked behind me and the man proceeded to storm back to his tasks. I would suggest that no one supports this establishment, until the location's severe lack of leadership and customer service is addressed.

The current Manager at Westside Village discriminates against persons with disabilities. When in store yesterday, this Manager ambushed me and yelled about not wearing a mask ( Although my disability is not on the surface, I am exempt from wearing a mask or face covering under provincial legislation due to a work related disability). When I attempted to explain my situation, the Manager proceeded to accuse me of lying and demanded that I tell him "what was wrong with me". Under privacy legislation, this information is confidential and your Manager is not privy to it. You post your signs saying that Masks are mandatory and that "the only exception is legitimate health reasons". Obviously a mature discussion and the customer willing to taking the time to explain (which they are not obligated to do - its done as a courtesy), it does not meet the criteria. I was labelled before I had a chance to respond. Dollarama, what does it take for your staff to acknowledge and communicate appropriately and realize that this type of conduct is unacceptable and borderlines on a human right matter. I suggest that you incorporate training on administrative law and human rights with your employees training mandate. Situations and employees such as this, get companies into trouble. By the looks of it "Allan" has a history of bad behaviour. Just remember that your Management Team is the face of your company. I suggest you remove this one. Shame on you Dollarama. Absolutely disgusting.

The store itself is great and now is getting back to being pretty stocked after the move but the lack of cashiers is sad. They need to hire more people so that their isn't long line ups just to pay. Might take me 10-15 min looking around but takes me longer to cash out. On many occasions I have just left my stuff and got out of line and left because I had already waited so long. I gave 2 stars because the the line hassle as it's really bad. I have only ever seen 2 cashiers on myself, which is not only crappy for people waiting but also crappy for them for once we get up there some people are rude because of the wait and it's not fair to the cashiers for your guys lack of consideration and business sense. P.S. Thank you for the blinds FINALLY! The cashier the I normally get and myself thank you. I gave you an extra star for that. My eyes no longer burn after visiting the checkout.

C'est à se demander pourquoi ils mettent des flèche au sol, si ils poussent les gens à faire des contacts entre eux. Tout une logique pour éviter les gens à ne pas se transmettre le virus. Malheureusement la logique ne s'apprend pas à l'école... Ça tu là ou tu là pas.
