This used to be a great place to go but it's gone down hill so badly. They don't maintain their equipment at all and then their TOUCHLESS car wash malfunctioned and started slamming against my two day old car and scratched it all up. I drove out as quickly as I could but it still caused $2000 of damage. I will never ever go back here again!!! Didn't even get my $10 back from the wash that destroyed my brand new car! Not cool ! I would give it zero stars if I could.

Staff was friendly and helpful but the facility was disappointing. The wand wash hose had something greasy on it that got on my hands and coat the second I started washing, probably on my car too. Halfway through my second toonie the water cut out and a loud noise started in the ceiling, water was intermittent for the rest of my use. Air vent by the door that wasn't turned on, no undercarriage spray upon entry. No paper towels in the bathroom.

went through and only one side was washed. I tried talking to the manager and he tried to convince me that it wasn't true. One side was completely dirty and he tried to tell me it was because it was so dirty before that the wash couldn't remove it properly. Very ignorant and rude. I refuse to go back.

I like this wash because the bays are nice and large, plus they are cleaned out regularly and maintained. Can't beat the water pressure though it will actually blast off mud without having to spend $10 on 1 wheel well. I also like how you don't need tokens which I find incredibly annoying to feed the meter constantly.

Good morning, Wanted to share a brief story about a good customer experience....... Saturday morning I was out washing my truck, when getting ready to leave I noticed something (it had always been there, but this time I acknowledged!).... As the bay door rose I recognized the attendant (Amid) standing there at the side window, BIG smile and waving (as always, unless he's out prepping / cleaning the wash bay floor). You know, that heartfelt genuine smile, and his way of saying thank you!.... Makes a person (at least me anyways) feel appreciated. So I asked myself, why do I consistently visit this one specific location / car wash? On one level it probably has something to do with the convenience of location, my understanding of the facility, cleanliness etc. etc....... but on another level it is Amid.... Seeing his enthusiasm is contagious, welcomed and brightens my day. A small gesture, that goes a long way! In our crazy world, and with a lot of choices out there, it got me to thinking, what is our AMID factor? So I'd like to leave you with a Smile & A Wave.... I thank you.

So I have been coming to Alpine since it opened, lately I have noticed that the wash quality has gone drastically down hill. I am not sure if it is water temperature or a change of soap type. I mentioned this to the attendant as I am a business owner and would rather my customers provide feedback rather than not come back. "The answer I recieved was if you feel that way then don't come back" I was floored honestly I did not know what to say other than I will do as he wishes and not come back .

There was barely any water pressure, very dark and hardly any heat on a warm day in the car wash all together. Approximately 2-3 bays were closed at the time I was there with cars parked in them. I've been to a lot of car washes and quite frankly this one is the worst. I did what I usually do at every other car wash but there was hardly any pressure and the water was significantly colder then other car washes. I gave up about half way through and went somewhere else. I love to support local but not when the service isn't worth it. If you look on other review sites such as yellow pages and 411.ca the car wash gets 1.1-1.5 stars out of 5. I find it ironic how the owner blames everything on the customer and takes absolutely no responsibly. Its actually quite rude. Don't use this car wash not worth it!

We have lived in St Albert for 9 years now and since the car wash has been under new management we won’t go anywhere else. Courteous and helpful staff truly go above and beyond. We are meticulous with our vehicles and they understand. Always a clean bay to be had and advice given on product usage to make sure our vehicles stay shiny and looking new! The owner, Abid, went out of his way to help me today when I took my vehicle in to be washed. It was just me and my two-year-old who was quite frightened of the washing process. Abid helped me wash the exterior so I could tend to my child. So unbelievably kind of him. I will definitely be returning (but I’ll be leaving my kid at home next time!).

Very expensive almost $10 for vacuuming front seats not even rear seats just front seats and took out my rubber floor mat and pressure washed front driver side mat and used the useless dryer I was probably there for 7min total and paid almost $10 that's ridiculous considering I didn't wash my vehicle or vacuumed the rear or take out all my rubber mats. I'll never go back to get ripped off.

Highly recommended! Since this car wash changed owners early in 2021 it has seen a 180 degree turn around! The owner is often on-site and is super professional, courteous and helpful. The self-serve wash bays are roomy and the pressure works great but the hot water really makes a difference! The new owner has also brought back the gift cards and these are great for reloading and make coming here super convenient. Lastly, this car wash is located smack dab in the middle of St Albert, just off the Trail behind Earl's and near St Albert Centre so it's easy-in, easy-out!

My car was dirty from the roads but not too bad. We drove thru the car wash for $14. We got to our next stop down the road and noticed the car was filthy and grimy. I called the phone number online with no answer so we went back about ten minutes after we left. I told the guy working there what happened and he identified himself as the owner and said that, "car washes aren't supposed to get your car 100% clean" and "are you sure this is where you were at? You are probably confused." I requested my money back after he told me that he wasn't able to "authorize a re-wash". He said that he would refund my money and asked for my credit card. I gave him my visa and he swiped it through his machine for a payment for $14 and not a refund of $14. When I pointed this out to him he stated that, "I told you I don't give refund. You pay if you want to drive back in." After much argument and his steady decline in, "understanding your English" I was instructed to pull my car into a self serve bay. I told him that I was not about to pay for and wash my car myself after their shoddy service especially while wearing a skirt and heels. He said one of his car wash attendants would do it. We pulled in and the guy sprayed my car without soap for about 15 seconds and then said, "I won't do anymore until you pay me." Ridiculous. I will be ecstatic the day they run themselves to the ground and find themselves unemployed as no one in their right mind would hire either of these losers at their places of employment. I have just finished reading several other horrible google reviews.

This is the second time in a row I have spent $20 to wash my car using all the options available including soap, wax, brush, and spotless rinse and my car came out with a horrible film all over it and half the dirt. I have to now go to a different car wash to clean the car that I just washed. Wont be going back. I also love how quickly the owner blames the customer, saying I dont know how to wash a car at a car wash. Its hilarious, I guess I would say the same thing if I had to constantly defend my lack luster business and customer service. your comment to a paying customer plus your horrid business reviews speak for themselves.

I would have chosen NO stars but not an option. Under new management. New owner has poor attitude. I had previously purchased a number of washes on a card and he refused to honor them, citing a sign in the office. No sign when I purchased and I had not been in the office so had not seen it. He is not legally obliged to honor them but perhaps should rethink what constitutes good customer service.

Paid $13.99 for the best wash, and it did even remove half the dirt. There are still dirt streaks and it didn't dry most of the water off. If this is what the most expensive wash provides as a result, I can't imagine how bad the two lesser ones are. Would not recommend.

I chose the wand wash to wash my Not so dirty truck. Not too happy about paying for time before I start washing. That's an extra minute per customer and that's just crooked. The lighting was so bad that when another car came in with it's daytime running lights on I was briefly able to see where I missed. The antique mercury vapor lights haven't seen new bulbs in years and it shows......or doesn't show. The only positive note was it had hot water rinse. After $22 my truck still looked dirty. There was hardly any evidence that soap was being drawn into the sprayer. It's the only $22 they will ever get from me.

I have only washed my vehicle at Alpine once but will not be returning. I do not mind paying from the time I enter to the time I exit. I despise how little time a loonie or toonie gets you these days so would rather not know! The wash cycle water was tepid, the pressure washer gun was big, clunky, heavy, awkward and hurt my hand and it wasn't due to the pressure. The overhead swivel that is supposed to spin with you as you make your way around your vehicle did not do as it was intended. Instead, it was necessary to give it a hard jerk to get it to move with you. I was concerned that the whole mechanism was going to come down on the roof of my car. Perhaps I am a little spoiled! The car wash that I ordinarily frequent has water so hot that you cannot put your hand on the wand, an ergonomically designed gun which is properly weighted and balanced. The only reason one's hand would get tired is because of the high pressure. Alpine is dimly lit and poorly ventilated. The price to wash was fair enough, although I probably spent as little time inside as I absolutely had to. The old adage applies here that you never get a second chance to make a first impression!

Before going through the touchless car wash, the owner approached my car and took my payment. After telling me that the "Foothills" for $9.99 would not get my car clean, he recommended an upgrade to "The Meadow" for $11.99. Meadow is right, because it did NOT clean what little dirt I had on my vehicle. The owner was completely unwilling to assist me, and saw no issue with me leaving his car wash with a dirty car. The new owners do not do the business justice, and have lost me and my family as costumers. I have a feeling that I'm not the only one!

Since new owners took over brutal service i would rate a zero if there was an option I have been going here for 4 years sometimes 3 times a week over priced now and vaccums rarely work inside tell them about it and they do not deduct time or fix the issues just pretend not to speak english i used the touchless wash on the weekend it missed the whole bottom of my truck plus wheels and soap residue all the way around went inside and showed attendant and supposed manager and said i want to rinse off where it missed he said that the touchless does not get the bottom i said well maybe it should be fixed if you want us to spend 14 dollars for a carwash that does not work he said he would rinse it off it i said no thanks i will and started washing it off comes back a few minutes later and calls me a punk and says i am taking to long and i am cheap and i have to pay i finished washing and told him i am not paying i already paid for a carwash that did not work the first time and had a few more choice words for them both before leaving he stood in front of me like trying to flex his muscle i just laughed at him and asked him what are you going to do?in my most polite voice of course anyways true colors shown they just lost a good customer and they seemed ok with it must make to much money the will never see a dime from me ever again sorry for the long winded mesaage but i am sure i am not the only one this has happened to will go up the hill from now on ..

Actually should be zero stars. Went through the brushless wash. Terrible job. I went into the office and the person on duty told me if the car was very dirty the brushless wash wouldn't get it clean. It would have been nice to have known that before they took my money. I gave what I thought was a reasonable request - that they refund me the cost of the brushless wash and I would pay to wash it in the wand wash bay. No dice, so I went to the Shell around the corner. I wasn't going to give them my money twice. Needless to say will not be returning to Alpine.

This is by far one of the best car washes in Edmonton and surrounding! I’ve been going to this car wash since it first opened, and it has never been better than it is now! New owner has made the place so nice! He is such a nice guy, and very understanding! The new chemicals, lighting, and renovations are just a few things this guy is doing to make this car wash so amazing! If you want your car scratched and management not to do anything but say it's not their fault then go to alpines. We when in for a car wash, payed $13.99 for the full auto wash. Then in the auto wash their spray bar hit the rear end of the car and scratched both rear tail lights and the rear door. When we brought it to the management's attention, he denied that his machine hit our car, even though pieces of blue plastic from their car wash was left on our vehicle. Then he insisted that we were trying to "play him". Took the car to a auto body shop and they qouted us over $1000 to fix. Very disappointed in the management and the way that the employees carry out there duties.

had a great experience with the owner here. i had a gas spill on my seat so i gave these guys a call. i was told to bring my car in and we'd work on getting it out. the owner was very friendly and he cleaned up the spill on my seat at NO CHARGE. days later, ive decided to bring my vehicle in to try out the wand wash equipment. Everything was in great shape with many wand washing options to choose from, great water pressure too. i'll be coming here from now on.

Automatic car wash won't wash you car. Like reviewers below, I took my vehicles through the auto car wash and it came out just as dirty as it went in. In all fairness, my vehicle was indeed quite dirty, but the wash didn't even take a layer of dirt off. When I inquired with the attendant, I was also told that "I can't expect the automatic car wash to clean my vehicle." My question then is why charging >$10 for a "car no-wash"?? I was then offered to have the attendant pressure hose my vehicle. That lasted about 1 min and while it removed some of the grime off, I really don't feel I received the service I paid for, especially compared to other car wash services around. I wouldn't use their services.

Terrible customer service! Complete with screaming at paying customers. New owners every year and each one is worse than the last. The $72.00 invoice, that was submitted and paid in January, was mailed to Alpine's address and cashed. Staff is rude and argumentative to every staff member that comes in. Request was made to have a letter sent that states change of ownership-which is standard procedure. Tried to explain this, after calling for weeks and never having the phone answered,and was screamed at and then hung up on.

The Alpine Car Wash in St. Albert Alberta leave a lot to be desired.n awful car wash. In December I was looking for an automatic car wash that had an underbody spray, in addition to the rocker panels. They advised that their car wash sprayed the underbody of the vehicles, as well as the rocker panels and the tires. Based upon this I bought a $100 gift card. That was a mistake. I have four vehicles – 2 sedans and a SUV. Over the winter months I washed the sedans and the SUV through the automatic car wash several times with the following observations: 1. There are three packages – $12.99, $10.99, and $8.99 (I think). We always pay for the $12.99 package. The difference between the $12.99 and $10.00 is the “Tire Scrub”. I wondered how the tire scrub feature worked but didn’t pay much attention until about two weeks ago. When brought our vehicles to be washed, and my wife drove her vehicle in first. The car wash door did not close (not a big deal since the weather was warm), so I was able to see the car being washed. I did not see any apparent ‘tire scrubbing’ action. So when it was my turn, I paid for the $10.99 package (without the “Tire Scrub”), and I watched from the outside while my wife drove my vehicle in. I did not see anything different from the $12.99 package. So the question is, where is the tire scrubbing feature that costs an extra $2.00? 2. The “rocker panel” spray washed the sides of the vehicles, but did not spray the rocker panels. Therefore, the rocker panels on all the vehicles remained dirty. 3. I had an opportunity to see how the underbody spray ‘worked’ when the car wash door remained open. Unfortunately, all I saw was the “Rocker Panel Spray” wash the side of the cars (and not the rocker panels as I mention above), but there was no indication of the underbody of the car being washed at all. 4. The rears of all vehicles, although sprayed, were still dirty after the car wash was finished. 5. Lastly, there are only 2 dryers (one on each side) which are ineffective. There is plenty of water on the windshield and rear window, and the car is still wet. Other car washes have at least 4 dryer (two on each side), which is much more effective. They have two automatic car wash bays and I have used both over the past several months. Unfortunately I have experienced the same issues and problems noted above. As the automatic car washes did not meet my needs I choose to use the self-serve bays this week to wash my vehicles. The bays are partitioned but there is not much room between your vehicle and the partitions. As a result, you will be standing closer to the car than you may like. This means that you will likely get a little wet from the spray from your vehicle. It appears that I am not the only person with these issues. After washing my vehicle this weekend using the automatic car wash, I parked the vehicle to see how ‘clean’ it was it. A driver from the adjacent bay stopped to inspect his vehicle as well. Ironically, he had similar concerns about the car wash and was just using up his gift card too. Obviously I will not be renewing my gift card, and will return to the Shell by the St. Albert Canadian Tire or the Esso on St. Albert Trail. Although these two establishments do not have the underbody wash that I was looking for, they do wash the rocker panels and rear ends of vehicles properly.

I have probably washed my truck at Alpine Car Wash 30 times. It obviously just changed ownership. The first time I went to wash my truck with the new owners everything was good. I went today to wash my truck, everything started as normal. I wanted to use soap to start. Usually you have to run the water for about 30 seconds to clear the line. I ran it for about 90 seconds there was still no soap and clearly was running wax because the water was beading. I went and politely told the attendant. He came and told me that was soap. I politely disagreed but kept washing. After another 90 seconds the soap came on. Since he was close by I showed him the difference. He ignored me! While I was washing it didn't look like the dirt was coming off( my truck is black and it is hard to tell). I left and paid my bill and parked to dry my windows. I noticed as it dryed the truck was as dirty as when I went in! I went back and politely asked the attendant to take a look. I told him black colours need soap and hot water to clean them. He basically told me it was self serve(in other words you don't know how to wash your truck!). I said I would like to go back and wash it again for free. He offered me 5 minutes and I said it takes usually 10 or 11 normally. He made it VERY clear he wasn't interested in helping me. He turned his back and walked away!! It probably would have cost him maybe a dollar in water to fix the problem! My advice is to not go to this car wash! It is only a matter of time until it happens to you! I owned a business in St. Albert for 26 years and NEVER treated a customer like that! We don't need business owners like this! I have only written one bad review before, that's how bad it was! BOYCOTT this business!!!!

I urge caution to anyone buying prepaid wash cards from this business. On December 7, 2019 I loaded $280 onto my card through a promotion (only cost me $200) offered by the previous owner. I had been using this card since 2016. On January 7, 2021 the current owner cancelled my card, which still had a balance of over $139. He claims the card had an expiry date. At the time of my December 2019 card top up, there was no mention of any expiry date. Had I had been aware of such a date, I certainly would not have put this amount of dollars on the card. The current owner has refused to honour my card. He refused to make any accommodation, e.g. extending the expiry date. He has just pocketed my unused $139+ balance. To anyone considering purchasing a prepaid card from this particular business, keep in mind that the card might become worthless should the current owner sell the business, or go out of business. Obviously, I am disappointed with the actions of this owner and his unwillingness to meet half way in order to resolve this situation. I imagine I am not the only customer, or more correctly, former customer, in this same situation. Update January 9, 2021: As requested by the owner, we discussed what had happened and he kindly offered to reinstate my unused balance on a new card. I would still suggest that expiry dates for prepaid cards be clearly communicated to customers to avoid any confusion. I have upgraded my review rating from 1 to 3 stars.

Do I have to put a star on this? The touchless wash does not clean the bottom half of the car, the windshield or tires other than that does a great job...if you try to talk to the staff in the office they will berate you and tell you the car is clean?! Please don't spend your hard earned money here as you will have to go down the street to wash the rest of your car.

Absolutely terrible car wash. Don't waste your money! Paid $13.99 for the Alpine Wash. Took our truck through the touch less wash and it didn't do much in terms of clean. Spoke to the guy in the office about it and his response was "yah it isn't very good" we asked for our money back and he told us no. Horrible wash and even worse customer service. Never going back. I highly advise against this place.

My wife just got her car washed. After parking at a nearby restaurant, she noticed that it wasn't very clean. So she went back to show the attendant, and he agreed. He insisted that she pull into the self serve bay, and he proceeded to wash her car for her. Not 5 minutes later she drove away with a sparkling clean car at no extra charge. Surprisingly great service!

Not overly busy when I went. Well lit, clean, brushes are horse hair and in excellent shape. The pressure is good and the place overall is well taken care of. The main drawback was the water temp, they don't heat their water, (or the heater was broken) which made the wash wildly uncomfortable. The presoak was ineffective, almost no solution in the mix and mostly just water.

This place has the best pressure wand wash I’ve used so far in the Edmonton area! I live on a gravel road and my car gets filthy! The last car wash I went to I had to physically use the wand to scrape the dirt from under my wheel arch as it wasn’t powerful enough to remove it! This place got the dirt off my wheel arches with no issues! It’s well lit and has numerous ways to pay which is handy as I don’t always have change. Staff are friendly and bays were large and clean! I will be using this place exclusively from now on!

I have used the Alpine self service bays for my classic vehicles and daily drivers since Alpine opened Alpine setup lets me take the time required to get them perfect. Service desk staff is friendly. I have used the autowash once or twice and the operating instructions and resulting clean on daily drivers was aok. In my view, great value for dollar spent. I would and do recommend to other classic car owners. No ownership in the Alpine.... just a guy who likes his vehicles clean.
