We have visited this store numerous times and enjoyed the friendly service they provide. We needed to replace our hot water heater and the staff spent at least 30 mins with us explaining what to purchase, how to best install it, what to expect, organized delivery, etc. The cashiers are always polite as well. Great service!

Normally I love this place and the staff but not the garden lady, rude unfriendly and unhelpful if you are afraid of COVID when people are all wearing masks then don't go to work Don't take your fear out on the customers who are following the rules

Visited this store for the first time with the COVID restrictions, woman at the front told me to take a basket or cart, however since I only needed one small item I told her that, not knowing there rules. To her reply she said she "I don't care..." which I found to be quite impolite considering the situation. Every stores seems to have a different set of rules and this store makes your take a cart or basket so they can keep count of there limit of 5 customers.

Tuesday is seniors day. Dogs are permitted inside and get a cookie. I am glad they offer this because otherwise the service is hit or miss.

The staff at home hardware in Pictou are always very friendly. I have been visiting there quite a bit since I moved to Pictou, even though they do not always have what I'm looking for, the staff are always willing to help! If they don't have it at that store they always check their sister store in Stellarton to see if they have it in stock. I've always been greeted at the front door nicely, and the project desk has always been keen to help. Their covid-19 measures has always been top-notch. It's also very nice to see that their younger staff are always focused on helping the customers and providing excellent service when this might be their first job. I've never seen any of those staff sitting on a cell phone or not tending to customer needs. If there's something you're looking for they're always there to give you a lending hand and you don't have to wander the store looking for someone to help you. Moreover, the gentlemen working out back in the warehouse helping load the vehicles have also provided amazing service as well! Keep up the excellent work home hardware team!

A lot of times they don't have what you need, or they don't have it in stock, and they let you know they can order it but sometimes it never comes in. It's an okay place to go get wood and stuff

Tried to use their project desk to get work done at our cottage, wrote an email to the person responsible July 27, 2021 and was told would respond within 2-3 days, followed up August 20th and received no response. Called the store during regular hours and told the person was unavailable but would call me, never did. We've shopped here before and it's a locally owned and operated store, very disappointed that they don't care about their customers.
