We had Chris Petrie as our sales person, he's professional and courteous, and what's more important (which most car sales person can't do) is that he didn't pressure us to make a quick sale. My criteria for a good car sales person is very simple, when you finish test driving and say you wanna go home and think about it, they should just set you free, and Chris did just that. I have a newer model Audi which had been serviced in Markham up until we moved to Peterborough last year. The annual maintenance was performed at Peterborough VW under warranty so no charges, no issues. I damaged my drivers side mirror and knew this was going to be a costly repair. I dropped the car off on Tuesday Dec 13th and got the estimate the next morning and authorized the work. I called back every 3-4 days to get an idea of when my car was ready and promised, during my last call Dec 19th, to have it back before Christmas . Asked for a loaner car if they couldn't get the work done promptly and they said they had one coming in, but I never got a call to get the loaner. Christmas came and went and I called back on Tuesday Dec 27th and they told me the car was in the shop now to be completed and they would call as soon as it was ready. I happened to be shopping across the street and saw my car in the lot, no call, no heads up my car was ready at 2;45 pm that day. . I stopped in and waited for the service manager to complete the paperwork and I paid and was out of there. I spoke with the service manager about this teams lack of responsiveness and inability to keep their clients informed of their cars status. I was met with a blank stare, honestly ??? Having worked with car dealers with impeccable service history such as Uptown Audi in Markham, I am disappointed that this is what I have to deal with in Peterborough. Next time I need work, I will make plans to be in Markham and have a professional dealership look after my car. We were thinking of a VW SUV to replace my husbands Highlander but we've changed our mind on that one too..

Simply put out of the last 5 cars I've bought this dealership has had hands down the best experience. Service: Service is always straight to the point and always helpful. At no point do they try to up sell you something or create imaginary problems. My VW Atlas had a stuck seat belt and they were able to get me in and solve my problem in under 5 min. An older Passat which had many problems none serious were never made out to be something that was the end of the world. Parts: Same experience here. You need a part and they will either get it if its in stock or they will ship it in. Parts have always come in when they told me they would. Sales: Buying a new Atlas was a breath of fresh air. What I think differentiates the experience I had here compared to other dealerships was how at no point did they pressure me to buy the car. They simply told me what the car was rather then the same old line of "oh this will be gone soon so better buy it if you like" or "oh I sell 500 of these cars a month better get yours fast". They were trying to sell me the car rather then the urgency to sign some documents. Furthermore what I saw was what I got. Never had to get some special ultra mega exclusive package to get all the features, in fact the manager threw in some free floor mats and a bumper guard for free with me even asking (about $500 value if I remember correctly). Obviously that is VW specific but they did have additional warranty and some accessories which they never wasted time trying to sell me (seriously who wants to sit for 30min listening to someone sell you another 2 grand worth of stuff that should be included in the car). In short if you're looking for a new car I would highly recommending getting one from here. They are super helpful and you never feel like your just a walking bank to them.

Service staff were very courteous. Only complaints I have are that they did not: clean the vehicle (a sign on the service desk stated that cleaning was suspended for the winter and would resume in the Spring... it's August!), a chocolate-covered cookie crumb was left on the driver's seat (thankfully the seats are leather and I noticed it before sitting down) and the service maintenance book was not updated with the factory service performed.

This is the best dealership that I have ever dealt with. I live in Ottawa, my mother lives near Peterborough, and I try to go to Peterborough VW for anything VW. First, when I bought my 2013 GTI a year ago I traded in my Ford Taurus. Both Ottawa VW dealerships were only going to give me 10K for it, Dean told me he could easily offer 14K and possibly more with a few phone calls, I ended up getting 15K trade for it. It was such a awesome trade calue that my Taurus residual value was paid with the trade value. I ordered my GTI and it took a bit longer than expected to get in so Peterborough VW offered me some extra warranty and some other stuff. Also, the service department is great (Specifically Taylor and Ann). I was having troubles with one of the speakers in the car. Myers VW in Ottawa told me, we cant hear anything wrong so there is nothing wrong. Peterborough VW said, yea we think we can hear something, we will get that fixed up for ya and replace the speaker. Awesome. I sound like such a crazed fan but this is truly an awesome dealership. Once orders are available for the 2015 Golf R I am defiantly getting from Peterborough VW. On a separate note my mother just bought a Demo 2013 Tiguan and once again the buying experience was amazing and any issue that did come up was fixed and almost over compensated for.

I bought a preowned certified vehicle from this dealership last year and it has been a nightmare having the necessary repairs made, all that should have been done before I left with the vehicle. My phone calls are never returned, nor are texts or emails. Ive moved to Alberta where the dealership has been amazing, but now they're having the same problem getting the appropriate payments from the Peterborough dealership. I am still missing a headrest which is a major safety issue and the Peterborough dealership is pretending they didn't know it was missing. Be weary of working with Eric Eatson!

I decided to drop by Ptbo Volkswagen when deciding on a new vehicle. For years I dealt with Mazda and their vehicles - thought the cars were great and the service was good. I was definitely missing out. Ptbo Volkswagen has a "high class" experience. I ended up purchasing two vehicles from them and I haven't been happier with my choice. The vehicles just feel solid, which makes it feel like your money was well spent. If you're heading in make sure you ask for Dave Grant - Dave was so much help and had so much patience in steering us in the right direction to a 2020 Tiguan, with a new family on the way. My other car broke down and decided to drop by and speak to Dave at a later time and bought a 2021 Jetta! The staff here are very caring and so friendly. I honestly enjoy getting services done as the team there actually speak to you as a person. And guess what - not once during those services did someone come out to tell me I should buy a new air filter or something along those lines! The service department is knowledgeable (master mechanic on staff) and accommodating. They have recently switched to using a call center which is inconvenient and annoying to use. It seems now, to take 30 mins to book an appointment.

I get the feeling that once you buy a car here, they struggle with after care communication. My sister in law bought an SUV from them and told me that the let down came right after with their service. It would seem that they need one person who is going to make sure that callbacks get done. I recently test drove a car there and I had some questions that were not immediately answered. I said no problem, just get back to me because I need a new car now. Cut to me buying a Toyota 2 weeks later because they never called me back. I feel its their fatal flaw. Best of luck to them, I love my Toyota.

I have been a customer for over 6 years and I can honestly say that this is the most dishonest and greedy car dealership I have ever seen. Their service department is more concerned about making money than actually serving their customers, to the point that they will tell you that repairs are needed on your car which are not even necessary, not to mention that everything is extremely overpriced. If you are going to buy a car in Peterborough just don't buy a Volkswagen. Great cars but awful service.

The dealership was good, but I still harbour anger towards VW for the emissions scandal, which can make it tough to differentiate between corporation and individuals at dealership. However, my experience one-on-one with folks at Peterborough VW on this issue was good.

Go elsewhere for your service. Peterborough is a small town and word spreads around. I recently had my car in for service and it came back with two dents in the hood that were not there before hand. VW sent a tech to fix them but as someone who keeps a pristine car, they didn't do a meticulous job and the markings are still visible. Then, I come to find out that another friend who went in for service recently received their car back with damage to the undercarriage guard and frame, along with a pinhole punched into their boot. I hadn't intended to post a Google review but this type of gross negligence needs warning. I took my vehicle to them expecting premium service in exchange for their higher than average price points. Be forewarned, you may get the opposite of what you pay for here. Consider going elsewhere for your service.

Walking into Peterborough VW you feel welcomed right away, you are greeted immediately but you also do not feel pressured which can happen frequently when entering a car dealership. Upon leasing our new car we were kept in close communication with the sales representative, Josh. The trade in of our old lease was smooth and all of our questions were answered promptly.
