My wife was in Peterborough 3 hours from home and blew a power steering line. Had it towed to this location and paid for replacement. Half an hour after leaving her van overheated and broke down again. We found a misplaced hose clamp on a heater hose that had been removed and not reinstalled , as well the pressure tank lid for the cooling system was missing. So now, by this time, everyone is closed and $900 was the cost to tow it the other 2 1/2 hours home. Plus a friend had to go get her as due to Covid passengers aren't allowed in tow trucks. So it's impossible to recommend this business to anyone.

This is the best shop in peterborough,in my opinion. They are extremely friendly and will do the best job for a reasonable price. They do exactly what you ask for without trying to find extra jobs that dont need to be done like some shops. GO HERE!

My muffler fell on our way to a big family gathering. I tied it up with a long USB cord and used Google to tell me who was open. They were the only place that would be. I get there and there is already a lineup but we were out of there in such a short time with no up selling. While not a kid friendly place my 3 kids did keep entertained with the butt load of magazines they have and candy dispensers.

If I could give this place half a star I most certainly would. Little over 2 years ago I took my car to them to diagnose why my check engine light was on. They found the problem and "replaced" the sensor. 2 weeks later, light comes on again. Long and short they replaced the wrong sensor. Fast Forward to today when I took some tires in to be swapped, and in the process they stripped a stud and broke another one off. They would not do anything to compensate me for the damage caused, or to setup a day for them to repair the studs free of charge. This location is absolutely awful, its safe to say I will never return and continue to tell anyone I know of the poor service offered by them.

Well I was there a month and a half ago and he pacifically said in a month your warranty is up and Shernoff after that month my car starts rattling again with the muffler system how does a muffler get loose when I went to a muffler place

Terrible. Called for a price for a part & installation. Never returned call, emailed, nobody answered. Got my thermostat changed, 2 weeks later it died again. Had an oil change done (since they are the cheapest price) must of used dish water, runs like crap. They didn't put enough in, counter guy saw me walk in, he went to sandwich truck instead of talking with customer. Stood there for 15 minutes while he gabbed.

Unbelievably great service. They were able to squeeze me in last minute and were so understanding and helpful. A couple of hours after I dropped the car off they got back to me with what was wrong with my car and quoted me a price before doing any work, and it wasn't crazy expensive either! Great price and great employees. I'm hoping this will be the last of my car issues but if not, I'll definitely bring it back here. Thanks again!

I have had power steering issues for years. Took it to 3 other shops in town (will remain nameless). Midas figures out my problems in 15 minutes... truck feels brand new. Was laughing all the way home! They will fix your car.

My mother came in on December 30th 2018 to have her stainless steel muffler repaired. They ended up fixing it with a little muffler cement for some reason and two days later it fell out!!! My mom was visiting me in Peterborough when she decided to get it fixed because she didnt want to drive all the way back to Brantford with her car being that loud. My mom went to Midas in Brantford, the man there called this Midas in Peterborough to ask why they didn't fix it properly and asked them to pay for it to be refixed PROPERLY and they refused. Terrible customer service

Went for a safety at Midas, they gave me a long list of things that needed to be done. Which I agree they did need to be done. But they didn’t pass it because the engine light was on, but let my rotten brake lines and fuel lines pass. My brake and fuel lines literally crumbled apart in my hands when I was doing one of the repairs they required. They didn’t notice I had no front left cab mount(rusted away) they didn’t notice I didn’t have any cab corners on the truck. They didn’t notice my wheel wells were rotten. they didn’t notice my inner tie rods were shot either. If I’m gonna pay to have my vehicle inspected, I would prefer to know big things like having faulty fuel and brake lines rather than the engine light is on(it was the o2 sensors) I will never be back the risk of the lines giving out and causing an accident was the invisible line. I would give 0 stars if I could

Would definitely return to this Peterborough Midas shop. They repaired my exhaust system (exhaust pipe had separated from the muffler) without making unnecessary replacements, so the cost was minimal. They were courteous, friendly, efficient and had the job done in an hour. Although there is currently no waiting room (Covid), I spent the hour at Chapters—a short walk away. Great experience all round!

I had a lot of work done on my van as a result of a local shady used car dealer who pushed it past certification... Midas, I have been dealing with for decades now, and haven't had a single issue with any work they have done unless it was a defective parts, which they replaced free of charge under warranty (any garage or part supplier can have that issue) I have recommended midas to several people, and will continue to do so Any friends who tell me about nightmare stories with bad mechanics, I recommend them to go to midas, may not be the lowest cost for everything, but it does give peace of mind and assurance that they will do it right the first time, and if a new part fails, they stand behind what they do! For exhaust, I dont know anywhere that can match midas price with the same quality

Got my brakes and rotors done a year ago... went to a different Midas today to find out they're completely rusted and worn out. Would not recommend Midas' shotty service and fake warranties... give you cheap parts on warranty to keep you coming back and paying for labour. 10/10 would NOT reccomend.
