You may have noticed that the average score it has is high, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we can conclude that the rating is quite credible. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Car Wash corresponds to the category of Car detailing service.
Works well and you actually get lots of suds
Unfortunately I've been a few times (different stalls) and tried to give the benefit of the doubt, however, every time seems to be a waste of money. The wands are leaky and lack power, the brush spits out little soap or doesn't work at all, and the machine navigates the menu on delay all the while charging you once you've swiped your credit card. I have tried to speak with an employee, but seem to be there every time they're off (3pm?). I have attempted to call as well with no answer. It's in a great location, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Great wash but the debit machine wasn't working, good thing I had cash
2 auto stalls and 2 manuel stalls. Very nice spacing
Easy to use and my vehicle came out quite clean. I'll use this service regularly.
I hate to leave this review, as I frequent this car wash 1-2 times per week but I am constantly frustrated by this place. After using the soap function in the manual wash bays and then turning to rinse, there is still soap coming out of the wash gun after 2-3 minutes of spray time. It’s unfortunate that I need to sit on the clock and pay for this transition time when I’m paying for it the whole time. Next, the hoses are constantly leaking all over the place at the fittings, one or more of the bays is down for repairs very frequently, and the hard coily hose on the foam brush whips your vehicle and smacks the paint as soon as you start any back and forth scrubbing motion with the brush and catches on every protruding edge of the vehicle. Pressure is also considerably weaker than any car wash in the Kootenay’s. Great location and it gets the job done but could definitely use some major optimization.
I don't know who's bright idea it was to put a touchscreen somewhere that is always wet but wow the buttons were absolutely impossible to hit the right button to select soap rinse etc. Quite comical for my girlfriend to watch so at least there's that....
I have been through a lot of car washes and this one is definitely a real treat lots of pressure good selection of detergents and engine cleaners all the equipment is working on top of it all it also has a laundromat attached to it pretty straightforward typical Car Wash plus it has a hands-free automated car wash as well
The car wash was unfortunately not in good repair. The spray hoze almost exploded from a massive bulge in the hoze near the handle. Also the nozzle was bent out of shape, and the scrub brush is not usable, full of rocks and debris, looks worn out. This is not the first time I have had an issue, another time my cloths and hands were stained completely blue from the soap in the brush, it took a few days of washing to get the blue color off my hands. My cloths were permanently stained. Normally there is no issues, is it because people just wreck everything these days?
Car wash itself is good but it wouldn't accept any cards , I had to pay cash
The car wash did a great job and made my car look great. Decent value as well.
It's ok.. couldn't use the automatic carwash it was being fixed. Did use the laundromat...semi-clean
FWIW not enough staff. Wicked sweet service, 5 star if operating as a robot replacing ownership business... Better to buy a power washer.
I always love going here. Did have the automatic wash stop working mid-wash, but the young man working was quick to help me get into the 2nd auto wash stall with no extra charge. I go here a lot and its always great!
It's a car washing place
Nelson Carwash has 2 automatic car wash areas to use, as well as self wash area if you prefer to wash your car yourself. As well there is a vacuum station too...service is great. ????????????
Got the skunk spray off the side of the car with the regular wash.
Good place to go
The only car wash in town. The self wash bags fit 2 cars each, and credit cards are accepted by the machines. There isn't much space to wait if it is busy, but most people try to accommodate. There are also vacuums as well as a coin laundry on site.
This is my first online review, I'm not sure if anyone associated with this business will read this (or care), but I do hope so, and someone changes this aspect about this business. I went in for a manual wash today, and while the customer service was severely lacking in regards to proper information on cost and use, I was appalled at the soap that was used in the foam brush. It is blue in colour, and the brush was literally puking foam out, and it was splashing everywhere. I didn't think too much of this, other than it seemed like overkill for what a wash needs, but after the wash was done, I started to rinse it off and noticed it had left a stain on the hood (white paint). Then I noticed my hands and wherever it had splashed on my arms had stained blue as well. I went to ask why my car and body were now stained blue, and was told that they had never seen that on a vehicle before, but that it will wash "right off" my skin, and out of my clothing. (oh ya, it had stained my skirt and top as well). Confused and frustrated, I went to wash my hands, and after 4 full scrub downs, my finger tips were still blue. By this time my partner was able to remove the blue on the car by using the pre-soak, so that was good at least. I went to speak to the woman waiting behind us to inform her of the soap, and she said she goes there quite often to wash rental cars for the company she works for. I showed her my stains and suggested she be very careful if using the foam brush. She was aware of the staining, and said she gets stained ALL THE TIME she goes there. I asked her if she thought it made sense for a car wash to use a soap that stains its' customers - guess what she said?? As someone who has worked in customer service MOST of my life, my shock and dismay comes from why this business would choose to use a product that stains skin and clothing blue - and the point that the only 'help' I received was being told "it washes out, don't worry" - ridiculous! Why would someone want to pay to wash their car, then go do laundry and have a shower? I'm assuming it's the cheapest product... my request is for this business to strongly consider changing to a non-staining soap. I am unlikely to go back there after this, but from a customer service perspective this is horrible for business and holds the potential to really bite your business in the arse. I asked the young man working there to pass this along, fingers crossed. Still waiting to see if the stains came out of my clothing...
Always dirty, owner is not friendly, we need a indoor car wash , another one for competition
It’s ok, automatic wash is old so it doesn’t do the best job.
Always clean, professional and friendly. Today in particular was a stellar example of the care and professionalism of this establishment... There is a man who refuses to wear a mask, or shoes when he uses the laundromat. Rather than fighting and putting up a fuss, the staff found me sitting in my truck where I was waiting as the washing machine to run its cycle. The staff kindly explained the situation and told me the man would load his machines and leave. They said if I am at all uncomfortable, to let them know and they would act on my behalf to ensure my safety and comfort. In that moment I felt protected and like I mattered, not just for my business but as a human being that matters. And what a beautiful gesture to help this man also feel seen and heard, respected and not judged. WOW! I am blown away by the proactive professional careing way this situation was dealt with and the extra care and attention I was shown. I truly love this place. Good vibes all the way!
Great but busy
Staff is very friendly and helpful, happy with the service.
Primary function is the carwash . Large 2 bays for washing your vehicle . Fair amount of vacumes spaced out nicely. . Also there is a small laundery portion on the side .
Good car wash!
Convenient, if toxic.
Quick clean for my Motorcycle
The best car wash around! Staff was very polite and helpful. The touchless wash got all the salt and grime off my truck in the winter, which not only made my vehicle shine but also prevented rust on my frame. Would highly recommend!
As I write I am stuck behind a lineup of three cars, because as I was halfway through the touchless clean cycle in “bay 1”, the car wash stopped mid-cycle so I was left sitting with a car covered in soap. Terrified of suddenly being spray washed with industrial-grade purple soap, I called the attendant who told me to drive around to line up for the only working station. By that time a lineup had amassed so I have no choice but to wait! I was given a work h code so I wouldn’t have to pay twice but nothing beyond that. It would have been fair to have received at least a “free wash” credit! I’ve only been here three times altogether, and this is the second time this has happened so the successful car wash rate is a mere 33% (over 6 months). The only reason I came here in the first place was because I was really desperate to have the wasps and mountain detritus removed and didn’t have time to wash it myself, (which I would have preferred because I do a much better job). It turns out I could have saved time and money had I simply passed on by. Unfortunately there is no competition here in Nelson so I’ll have to be more on top of my home washes! Update: I am now stuck in the same predicament—- soap on car, no rinse, and now have to drive home with crazy soap all over my car!!!
A rather standard do-it-yourself carwash. Laundromat on site as well!
Love that there is so much soap in the car wash....my car is always to shiny when I leave!!
Did the job as expected
Shampoo/vaccum says $2/5 minutes but only gives 2:30 of shampoo. Which comes out so slow out of such and old clunky and ineffective wand..I got half of one seat clean for $4. The attendant was really nice but invest your money in a shampoo vac for your home.
Great smelling soap, needs more pressure.
The new car wash is awesome! Purple rain is the way to go, fun and effective. Great customer service and I was super impressed with how clean my car was after.
NOTE: This is not an Esso station any more. It is a car wash / laundromat. That being said - I took my car there for an interior clean and exterior wash. They did a really good job of cleaning the interior, for about half the price of a car detailing place. The exterior wasn't done quite as well, but they did make it right by providing me with a free automatic car wash. I would definitely come back to have my car done there again.
Opted for the the gold wash to maximize rust prevention. Did a great job on the underbody; which is a good thing for Toyotas in the winter! Staff has always been friendly and helpful.
Does a good job. Love the light show while the auto washer is doing its thing
First stall on the right ate my change
Car is clean
Good easy car wash
We have to get a better deal of it's.
Nothing like the worst carwash ever. Our vehicle was as dirty coming out as it was going in.
The water pressure at the hand held car washers are rediculous. Cant even get all the dirt off my truck. The ones at the old Castlegar car wash across from the rink are way better. Fix your pressure please. From Bruce Duncan
Does a good job.
Love this carwash and laundry in same place Berry the owner is allways very helpfull as is hus staff
20+ years of using this establishment as a local resident. The new ? owner was so rude and unpleasant this morning, I will never be returning. If anyone needs a car was im buying a heated pressure washer !
Wonderful place for ever need I rented a car the best place to rent a car fast and friendly
Probably one of the worst car washes I have used. Should have read the reviews first. Lesson learned
Blue dye that was in foam brush in the car wash dyed the 3M on our vehicle along with our skin and got on our clothes. Our vehicle is white.
The only horse in town and it gets the job done.
