Don't expect to make a warranty claim without a fight. I had a very small rust bubble form on a fender probably 10 minutes work to fix and the owner told me to pound sand.

Been going here for 4 years now, and the service has gotten progressively worse to the point I won't be returning with any of my much cared for vehicles. My family's new car had perforations drilled when we explicitly asked for no holes, another relative's car had perforations drilled where it's painfully visible with the door shut, and my 90's Toyota was skimped over to the point of being dry in many spots. There are more thorough operations employing better products for rust prevention in Halifax.

Rust Check is the best rust inhibitor, penetrating oil, and undercoating that there is. It makes twenty year old cars look brand new. Halifax Rust Check does an excellent job of applying the product to your car. They even send you reminders in the mail to remind you of when your annual application is due. I come here every year to have my car sprayed. Thirteen years later it still looks brand new!

We have used Rust Check for years, on about a half dozen different vehicles. In July 2020, we had a new-to-us car Rust Checked at this location. Afterwards, the rubber seals on the doors shriveled and turned hard on two doors, as a result of contact with the spray. When we contacted RC about this, we were told that it "can happen" but that they do not stand behind the damage caused by their product. I indicated that this kind of risk should be explained up front, to clients.... Now, for a $125 preventative maintenance item, we have to spend over $500 in repairs to the car.

Take my car here yearly for undercoating. Only issue I have is every time I get my car back, my clutch and other pedals are slippery from undercoating, shift knob and steering wheels end up being greasy too. I always take shop towels with me so I can clean it up before leaving so I can safely operate my clutch without my foot slipping. It would be nice if they did this for you before returning the car but I understand these workers get covered in the stuff and it’s hard to avoid.

Friendly people, they run the shop very efficiently (read they start your vehicle at the scheduled time and it's done within the timelines they gave). I slipped in and out during a lunch. Also the product isn't overly messy or smelly.
