I wanted to replace 12" tires on my small pop up trailer. They were the only shop (out of four that I tried) who were willing to help me and get what I was looking for (R12 radial trailer tires. Other shops all wanted to sell me R13 on rims since these small tires "are difficult to source" .) So yes, I'm pleased with the service I received.

Although the mechanics were nice and pleasant to talk to on the phone, in general there needs to be more organization with this business. From the start of trying to find a spot there were absolutely no parking stalls. When I finally got there I phoned to let them know I parked across the street which parking is not allowed and they told me they just park in front of their garage with other cars in them. The lady at the front desk did not look like she knew what she was doing in fact I was wondering why she was even hired there, there is a lack of professionalism and communication as she seemed awkward working in the front desk. I came to my appointment 5 minutes early and they were late by 20 minutes. Update* Because of what they quoted me ($1300) and saying I had to replace a upper intake manifold for my SUV and said it was going to be a big job I thought I would rather have the vehicle fixed in Parkville closer to my home. After getting it inspected and fixed at the okay Tire in Parksville they said it wasn't the upper intake manifold but a spring that needed to be replaced and tighten... Total was $388, I feel like I could have been ripped off if I continued with the work in the Courtenay Okay Tire.

They started out by telling me that I was stupid for using snow tires in the winter. Seriously? You called a customer stupid for doing something that transport Canada recommends. Then you told me to run my snowtires till they go bald, then switch to all-weather tires and to sell my rims. Trying to make a customer feel stupid is not good business. I will never visit OK tire EVER again, nor recommend it to ANYONE. Wish I could rate 0/5 stars.

I'm not one for writing reviews on google, but I felt like I should share my recent experience with OK Tire to hopefully make sure nobody gets scammed by them. I took my car in to get a full inspection done, being particularly concerned about a rattling noise coming from the front left side of my car. After what felt like a bit of a rushed inspection, they told me that I needed new ball joints and control arms, and that they could get them in in 4-6 weeks. Seemed like a long time to wait for a pretty simple part, but I thought whatever, let's do it. 5 weeks later I still haven't heard from them, so I sent an email asking whether they had an eta for the parts and was told that they couldn't give me an eta. No problem, I'll wait. 3 more weeks go by and I sent another email politely asking if they had any updates since it was way past the original time frame and I was eager to get my car fixed. This time they didn't bother to respond. After giving them two weeks to respond to my email, I got fed up and took my car to a different mechanic, who informed me that they could get the control arms in in 2 days, but after taking a look at my car they quickly realized that the sound had nothing to do with my ball joints (which were all totally fine) and was actually coming from the calliper. My assumption is that OK Tire knew that they botched the inspection and were telling me that they were waiting on parts to buy themselves time to figure out how they were going to dig themselves out of the hole that they had dug without admitting that they messed up. By going to a different mechanic I not only got the problem solved in a matter of days rather than months, but I also saved myself almost $1500 that I would have spent fixing a problem that didn't exist.

Rude and pushy to the customer! Instead of explaining the issue the service agent was pushy and spoke over me - horrible service! Doesn't matter who is right, in their case apparently THEY are right and they let you know it. Good customer service is being courteous first and foremost, regardless of the issue. Will NEVER use them again or EVER recommend them!

Great place! I went there from advices of several people who told me they are trustful. Indeed, the staff and especialy the owner and manager are always very kind and helpful! Horrible customer service. Asked them to replace an cv axle for me. They did an alignment and rotated the tires. They did not do what i asked them to do. And did work that was not asked for. They told me that the problem was not the axle and that i dont know what im talking about and hese the machanic not me when i questoind him about doing an alignment before doing the job. He had my keys so i had to pay him. Then i went to another shop. I described what happend to them without saying the shop name. They knew exactly who i was talking about. So obviously ok tire courtenay has a bad rep with other shops. They replaced the part for me. And it worked. So dave at ok tire insulted me and ripped me off. There is lots of tire shops in town. I would look around before i settled for the bottom of the barrell. I will be expecting an apology and my money back. Nothing else

I live on a small rural island and had a flat so had to drive over on the donut. I left my car at Kal tire for the day while I was at work to have the tire repaired,I arrived after work for pickup. The tire had not been repaired and I was not informed of this. Now at closing time, I was scrambling to find help. Thankfully, ok tire in Courtney stepped up after closing time to assist to the best of their ability. I highly recommend the OK tire in Courtenay!

Has to be one of the friendliest businesses in the Comox Valley. Several years ago I was to go on a holiday touring beautiful Vancouver Island, and what happens, lol, a blown tire. They must of seen the desperation on my face, and promptly fixed my tire for me. Today, I took some tires into OK tire for my cousin to ensure there integrity, and once again they were awesome!!! I highly recommend OK Tire!!! Reviews are meant to give a potential customer insight to what their experience may be with a given business. In fact, there have been many occasions where I have written HONEST reviews on the local business in the Comox Valley, and many were good and on one occasion not so good. With that being said, there is a very mentally ill individual who is angry at a personal level with the owner of OK Tire because he finally set concrete boundaries (taking care of self) with her, and she is lashing out at him by attacking his business by writing a very vindictive,untrue, and venomous reviews on the internet. This on every level is wrong! Please take what that individual said with a grain of salt, she has her own agenda.

I was driving from Campbell River to Courtenay and my car suddenly started making a horrible grinding/screeching noise. I pulled into their parking lot and they helped me out immediately. Dave spent about 20-30 minutes tinkering around and discovered a rock in the rotors. All they asked for was to drop off some donuts next time I was passing through. I went and got them a dozen donuts from Big Foot and delivered them immediately. I was so appreciative of the help they provided. It's rare to find customer service like that! Keep up the good work!
