Old school auto repair shop, great service

Colin Cathy Brydon

Great service, knowledgeable staff. I bring my daughters VW beetle here for care.

Joey Volkman

Went there for some parts and he had exactly what I needed

Dave Clendenan

Diagnosis of the reason for my engine smoking and stinking when hot (cracked CV boot leaking grease) was done in minutes, and repair was same-day even though they had to source parts from elsewhere. Staff was friendly and easy to work with.

This shop saved my vacation. About 2k km in, with another 1k km to get home, my CV joints failed. For more misery, my idle control valve died at the same time. I showed up way too late in the day, and they gave mercy to my situation staying late so that I could still make the next couple of stops on my way home, and make it to work on time the start of the next week. They even pointed out other things to keep an eye on going forward instead of just rushing me out the door to get home. I can't thank them enough.

Awesome experience at Glenn's. Told me what I needed to fix and what could wait. Reasonable and honest pricing. Very accommodating, got me in the shop and fixed up within a day. Went the extra mile to make sure my car was ready when I needed it.

Derek Spencer

Fellow came out and helped me right on the street...Sorry to anyone negatively impacted by this 10min. job. He was busy and made the time for me... Plus!!! He did it all for free... Huge shout out to this operation!????????

Hey Glen remember me? I came in with my 1999 Volkswagen golf and didn't leave to happy with you ripping me off and wasting my time, I know what you did and guess what, I found that wire you unhooked causing my dash cluster to not work. When a mechanic needs to sabotage a customer's car to rake in more cash it's sad and you sir have been called out! Watch out for Glen he gives you bogus rates and sabotaged vehicles!

Todd E

Great place, honest trustworthy, thanks for the diagnosis &getting it done

Gerald Richardson

Personal service and super knowledgable VW folks as well as hard to get vintage VW parts. Sean at the counter has years of Volkwagen experience and is a wealth of information about these classic cars.

Richard Kügler

I have a great experience with Glenn's Auto. Always bring my car there and he takes his time answering 1000 Questions. They also help out finding parts and gives advice if I try to fix it myself.

Paul Stahnke

Returning past customer after purchasing a 2nd Westafalia. I wouldn't even think of looking for a different repair shop for VWs. I drive 1.5 hours to drop off my vehicle as required and it is worth every second. We are always kept informed of servicing progress, and the work quality, plus proper parts means everything to us when we are on the road with our 40 year old Westie.

Chris

Happy with the work and customer service.

Great customer service no better place to solve import issues

Sarah O'Donnell

Lucky to have found this shop after moving over from the mainland. Sean is great and explains the work well, you can tell he is genuine and wants to help you avoid major problems that cost major $$. Extremely responsive to emails and phone calls. He is definitely my new regular mechanic!

Tyler Sellin

Brought in Vehicle for service of transmission, diffs, fuel system, asked to take a look at the power steering system, and for sure change front rotors/brakes. After having my vehicle all day, left with a clean throttle body and a notice that my rotors need replacing. What about everything else? Thanks for pulling/clearing codes, too bad the shop lost all the information off the code reader and can’t tell me anything meaningful about what the 15 cleared codes were related to, at least you didn’t forget to bill me for the diagnosis. When you have to book 2 weeks in advance to get any work done, it would be nice if work actually got accomplished. Although rates are fair, I’m a few hundred dollars invested, and am basically as close to having the vehicle fixed as before dropping it off (yes ....I now know to what thou out, my warped rotors that I already knew needed replacing are thx). When booking I asked in advance if I could bring my own parts to have installed, there was a strong preference from the shop to use their parts for warranty etc. Reason for not changing brakes is because “shop can’t buy parts in advance”, would be nice if you mentioned on original booking, that a brake job was a multi day event. Waste of time/money. Update 17Jan2020: I’d say a response from management 6 mo following my initial bad experience is fairly consistent with the quality of service.

Either incompetent to an extreme degree or just plain crooks. Consider yourself warned. They 'missed' big things like a melting wire harnesses all the way down to little things like screwing spark plugs in barely finger-tight. At least they'll lie to your face with a smile!
