We stopped in at the dealership this morning with what I thought was a simple question. It turned out that the question was simple but there was a problem and the solution not as simple. David Williams quickly identified our problem and immediately set to work fixing it. In no time we were on our way very pleased with our experience and David in particular.

I have been to Comox Valley Dodge a couple times with my 2005 Magnum, and I'm absolutely impressed with the work and service of all the people at the dealership. I´m always welcome and feel in good hands. If I need a shuttle service there is always a driver to drive me around and pick me up again. All the repairs and services are well explain. Even with minor repairs they take the time to look at them and the car wash after the service is great.

Recently, I was visiting my mom in the hospital and returned to the parking lot to find that someone had backed into my drivers door and had damaged it so badly, I could not open the door. I needed to get my car fixed and required a loaner car quickly to be with my mom who was being transferred to the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. I called Comox Valley Dodge on December 31 and spoke to Rob, the manager of the Body Shop. I met him there 2 hours later and he offered me a loaner car while my car was being fixed. I also asked him to adjust my lights, as I had asked two different repair shops to do this and both places told me there was nothing wrong with my lights. I knew there was something amiss, as every time I drove at night, oncoming drivers flashed their bright lights at me even though I did not have my brights lights on. Rob told me what a simple fix it was and adjusted the lights for me. I went to pick up my car the following week and was really happy with the results. I was impressed with the friendly and professional service that Rob provided. Thank you very much!

Went there for the info about new jeep wrangler 2020, they asked for my ID for test drive i gave it but they ran background credit check on me without my permission. I don't mind if you run credit check but learn how to ask first. I find that out the next day from my bank that my credit score is affected because of recent credit check done by this dealership (comox valley dodge chrysler). Make sure they're not checking your credit without asking your permission (was the manager himself who did it) Not returning back again.

we have purchased a number of vehicles from Comox valley dodge, first thing I learned is they offer the best top dollar on trades with little negotiating, that's out standing these days where everyone is grappling for a buck! the sales team is slick, on the ball and raises the bar to assist in the overall purchase process. the financial wizards are quick, reliable and streamlined to have you happy in short order, We have had dealings with the entire staff from the car lot man to the general manager and were extremely happy with everyone's effort, knowledge, and rapport. I would strongly suggest this is the best dealer we have dealt with and that you should approach looking for your next vehicle.

Best dealership experience ever! I am from out of town and called this location on a whim when I was experiencing trouble with my vehicle. Chris was so friendly and knowledgeable on the phone and said he was fully booked the next few days but if I was willing to drop my car off the following morning he would get to it when he could. My car was done within 3 hours and he even washed it for me. Every interaction I had from beginning to end was friendly and positive. They even followed up a couple days later to make sure my vehicle was good and that I was satisfied. Especially as a female it can be daunting having to deal with anything auto related but this was by far my best experience. Would even consider purchasing my next vehicle from them as they really set the bar high. Wonderful staff and customer service.

Not women friendly. My daughter took the truck which is still under warranty in for the many recalls dodge had at the time. She also had rust and while she was there the window fell out of the track. They told her to go home and get some of her nail polish and put it on the rust and not to roll her window down in the winter time. Shame on you. My daughter is very very upset at how the man made her feel and look in front of the people standing around.

2007 Dodge Magnum SXT. Key was rotating loosely. Kudos to Laura in parts for zeroing in on the faulty item within the ignition control and saving me from a more expensive replacement of the whole ignition control assembly. Leaving the shop, noticed radio’s LED display was no longer working. Back at the shop, I was offered condolences and told that it was a coincidence the LED failure had occurred at the shop. I was not a happy customer. Later that afternoon, there was a phone message offering free installation of a replacement radio, available at a reduced price, if purchased from CVD. Kudos to Gord in service for taking steps to promote customer satisfaction even if it is not their fault. Ultimately, I agreed with their analysis, accepted their offer, and am now a satisfied customer. Both repairs were done by Adam, and in the final outcome, they were flawless. Thank you Comox Valley Dodge, and in particular to Laura, Gord, and Adam.

Recent service experience. I had a great experience all the way. Pulled up at 7:30 am service person walked straight out put a seat and floor protector into my truck. Service counter checked me in took my keys and called the driver to take me to work. At 11:30 they called to say the truck was ready, offered to pick me up. ( I didn't need a ride this time.) I have been to C.V. Dodge a couple times with my new to me Journey, and I'm absolutely impressed. I had a not so hot experience at another dealership where I purchased it a few months ago, and was so relieved to have such positive experiences at my local dealership. I had an odd request to remove the rear seats that were securely bolted in so I could fit all of my dog crates in the back, and they were happy to help! I also brought them in a list of issues from minor to concerning, and someone came out to my truck to review them all one by one. The mechanics fixed things and it's running great. Each person I dealt with explained things very well and weren't rushed. Even the shuttle service was enjoyable!

We payed a visit to C.V. Dodge on the weekend and test drove a new Caravan. We did not end up purchasing but the service we received was fantastic. We worked with Darren who did a good job showing us the van and answering questions. He worked with us to find pricing and terms we were happy with. Two poor service experiences from service with an extremely high price tag. $93 for an oil change with tire rotation. $35 at Midas for same service. Phoned my house to tell me it was ready, but neglected to tell me while I was sitting there waiting for 45 minutes. I had informed them I was there. The front was not vacuumed. I told them of their error and tried to say the paperwork goes up first, but they never even apologised. Twice. Already sold their van with all the little add ons on it so who cares now. My husband bought a used car from Brian Mcclean and they gave him two free oil changes and 4 more for $25. They did phone and apologize and quickly rectified the mistake by giving my vehicle free service on the next visit. Very cordial service With regards to my last visit of June 26 I was told that the back carpeting that has let loose and comes down every time I put the seat down is not warrantable and that somehow my doggs had pulled it down. I beg to differ. The dogs are much too big to fit in that space behind the seats, (a lab and a husky cross). The seats are always stowed when they are in the van. There are no marks of chewing or digging to even suggest this. This is my second visit with regards to this. The carpet was loose to begin with and the up and down of the seats pulled it down because of the poor fit. That space is reserved for luggage and groceries. It should not be worn out yet. I hope we can come to an agreeable outcome with this.

The Sales agreement went ok but seemed a little shady. In trying to determine a fair value for my trade- in, the "local" cars they found and showed me from Autotrader were actually from Ontario and Quebec. Maybe an honest mistake.... My issue is with after Sales support. The vehicle I bought had illegally tinted side windows, something I am not familiar with. 7 days after buying the vehicle, I was pulled over and issued a ticket. I explained to the officer that I had just bought it from this dealership so he gave me 3 weeks to remove the tinting. When I contacted the dealership i was texted the following: "accessories are not liable to the dealership. The only thing liable is safety features" No offer to correct the problem. Just a quick note saying they were not responsible for selling a vehicle that has had an illegal modification. The officer told me that the dealership can be fined the same as anyone if they are caught selling vehicles with this modification. Very disappointed. I will not be recommending this dealership to anyone. Updated Sept 15... Thanks for the reply but two weeks too late....I took care of it myself. Also, the reply below is another example of what I consider inadequate customer support. You have left it to me to contact you via email whereas you know who I am and you have my contact info, you should be contacting me and offering a solution.

What a bunch of crooks Planning on selling my Dodge Ram 1500. I bought the extended warranty through Dodge at the same time I bought my truck. So I phone in to see what, if anything, has to be done for the future owner of my truck to benefit from the extended warranty I purchased. I am told the they HAVE to come in within 30 days of purchasing my truck. And they HAVE to PAY for a "warranty inspection". Being from another dealer, that sounded suspicious. So I phone a different Dodge dealership and ask if that is true. NO! You do not have to come in within 30 days, NO! You do not need a "warranty inspection". I will never dump my money into Comox Valley Dodge EVER again. Edit: This was a Chrysler extended warranty purchased at the dealership at time of sale of my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. This wasn't the first time the service department tried to grease me either. They were constantly calling me trying to get me to service my truck well before it hit the mileage marker. Not to mention my one warranty claim I came in for a faulty back up light on the truck. I had to come in multiple times for the "warranty guy" to use the "warranty camera" to take a simple picture. Very painful experience every time I tried to deal with this dealership.

My husband and I bought a new truck from Donny S at Comox Valley Dodge. We knew we needed a truck for our business, but neither of us have ever owned a truck and we weren't exactly sure what we were looking for. Sales: I have come in multiple times to see if I can upgrade my car to a dodge van and all 3 sales people that I have spoken with have not followed up with me and it's been 2 weeks since the last time I tryed. Over all experience with sale not good! Service:The first time we had our vehicle dealt with at the dealership it wasn't to bad. Rob in the body shop was great and so where the parts team. I spoke with the service manager Guy about getting our O2 sensors replaced cause we already knew what the check engine light was. I related to him that we have a tight budget with 4 kids and he assured me that "THEY ONLY CHARGE HOWEVER LONG IT TAKES THE TEC" with that said I booked our vehicle in to be told that it just needs for new O2 sensors, I was told the price of the sensors so I approved the work. At this point I WAS NOT informed that they charge a flare rate!!!!! An o2 sensors job on our car maybe takes 30min however they want to charge us $219.00 when if that would have been communicated I would have taken the 4 new sensors, pain the diagnose and paid my mechanic to put it in. Almost $800 Is not what I expected and to put the cheery on top after me telling them that this vehicle was the only family vehicle I was told that they where going to have a shuttle ready for us and take us home. We sat in the waiting room from 1:25pm till almost 2pm and watched the shuttle guy pick up someone and take some one home. Then the nice lady who took us home, I had given her instructions how to get back to our place when they sent someone to pick us up and when it was time to have us picked up they sent our shuttle to the wrong location and was 35min late witch made us late for dinner and evening plans with the family. If this is the kind of service we are to expect from this dealership I will not be returning. I was very clear what I approved and was charged something completely different????

Determined it was going to cost me $50.00 for part. Even Parts guy was shocked. I made subsequent contact for appt to have it installed. When I arrived Service rep said it would be super quick and very little labor. A bit of relief considering what I was paying for a handle. I waited for vehicle, longer than I thought. When mech arrived it was determined that it was going to cost $100.00 for labor. $161.00 to replace an emergency brake handle. Not super quick and not super cheap. Not a great introduction to what was going to be a good connection. Just an aside: I notice the owner only answers the positive reviews. Do the negatives even get read.

When asked about the history of the vehicle, the salesperson did not disclose that it was a rental vehicle from Alberta. All they said was that it was an employee's wifes vehicle (who knows if this is even true at this point). Back and forth multiple times, wasting time and gas from Campbell River and finally go to sign the papers after being on the phone with insurance and everything and that is the moment they disclose that it was a rental vehicle. Waste of time and money, and sure don't appreciate the feeling of basically being lied to. I'm a young driver and have many purchases to make regarding vehicles in my future, but never here after the way they handled things. Pro tip for any future buyers, ask to see the Carfax before you even test drive because they won't disclose anything until you are ready to sign.

Worst experience at a dealership. Found vehicle I wanted, my trade in was in the shop, so I left a deposit and be back in 3-4 days. Go back on Saturday to show my wife, they sold it. I was happy to purchase this as worry free driving for the next 5 years was very important to me. I recently had my oil and air filter changed at Dodge's service department. I was happy to book my appointment for the early morning and have their shuttle service usher me to my work on time with no interruption to my day. My 2010 Dodge Dakota, which still is under the Chrysler extended warranty, recently decided to have both front disc brake calipers seize leaving it undriveable. I managed to get the vehicle to the Comox Valley Dodge service center at approximately 11 AM. The Service Department staff immediately took my information and explained that although they were quite busy that they would get my truck in as soon as possible. They even offered us a ride home to Campbell River if we would rather not wait. They called at around 4 PM saying they were having an issue getting parts however were working with another dealer to get them sooner than later. They explained that if all went well my truck would be ready for pickup the next day around noon. Sure enough at noon the next day they called and told me the truck was ready and even offered to send a driver back to Campbell River to pick me up. They also explained that Chrysler expected me to pay for the new brake pads and rotors as well as their installation as they were wear items to the tune of over $400. I of course objected and Colin the Service Adviser said he would see what he could do. Upon my arrival at Comox Valley Dodge, Colin explained that he was able to get all the parts covered under warranty however Chrysler still expected to pay for the parts installation and would not budge on that. Although I did not agree with having to pay for the parts installation I feel that the Comox Valley Dodge staff went beyond expectations with driving us home to Campbell River, working with another dealer to get the parts, turned out they had to send a driver round trip to Campbell River to get the parts and finally to get all the parts covered under warranty, even the wear items. Simply put, I feel the Staff at Comox Valley Dodge went well above and beyond to get my truck back into service, get me back and forth to my home even though it was quite a distance away and finally fighting for me to get parts covered that would not normally be. Came all the way to Courtenay from Victoria to buy a car for $4,600 but learned that they add a $500 administrative fee (highest in Comox Valley) - with tax it came to $5,700!!! On top of that, a pre-purchase inspection showed that it needed $800 in repairs. Not only did they refuse to pay for the repairs, they also refused to negotiate on the price at all... After 2 hours they grudgingly and condescendingly agreed to give me the car for $5,574. ... going home disappointed and empty-handed. COMOX VALLEY DODGE - YOU SUCK!

I'm waiting for the great service some people report in their reviews. I bought my RAM new in Sept 2017, Process of buying truck was great but had problems from the first service. I worked late the day I brought truck in so they informed me they would place vehicle outside the gate for pickup. It was not there when I arrived. Next day I picked it up but they had lost the key, (I went home and got spare). I was told by salesman he would drop it off Sept 27-pic of texts in review -He never did and after calling for two weeks went down and picked it up on Oct 7. I have been there twice since, Once for recall work and once for warranty repair on air conditioning. Both times my truck wasn't washed as most dealerships do as courtesy.

I had a wonderful "first time there" experience at Comox Valley Dodge. I showed up for a "no appointment necessary" oil change (way over due) for my 1 Ton Dodge Diesel. All the bays were full & people/vehicles were coming in steadily. I expected to have to make an appointment & come back another day. They took my information & within 10 minutes or so my unit was in getting the 10,000. km service. This is much more than just an oil change. Tires were rotated, Brakes checked, Cooling System, Fluids, Exhaust, etc., all checked. The total bill was less than what I would have paid at home, in Alberta, for just an oil change! And, I didn't have to find a car wash as they washed the outside & cleaned the inside. Very Impressed! The three staff members I spoke with were very friendly & answerd all my questions, even the ones that had nothing to do with my truck. Will definitely be making Comox Valley Dodge my place of service when we get moved out here. Thanks!

I’ve always heard really good things about Comox Valley Dodge and they live up to that reputation! I had a really bad experience buying a vehicle with a failing transmission from a broker in Campbell River and I was also told by a few service shops to “it just needs a good drive”. I have a new baby so it’s been really difficult. Chris in the service dept was so nice to me, and I finally got a proper diagnosis. He felt so bad hearing about my previous experience that he didn’t even charge me for it. I can’t say enough good things, they really treat you with compassion.

Definitely do not recommend this dealership. My truck quit so I tested the batteries and then had to have it towed to Comox Dodge they said batteries not much good so that cost $550 then the key that was working was replaced that cost another $300 instead of just reprogramming them. Yes they found and fixed the problem after hours on the diagnostic equipment total bill over $1,800.00 but with $800 of parts I don’t think had to be replaced to fix the problem. I am not going here again even if I have to go further to another dealer.

Took my 10 year old Ram in for it's 100000km service recently - no, it's not for sale! I take my truck to CV Dodge for every 2nd service. My recent experience was awesome. Eric listened to what I wanted done, went over any recommendations he had and created a work order that made sense. Was offered a shuttle to & from home. Communication about the progress of the service was great and the follow-up post service was great too. Truck is running like it was new again.
