I am writing this review because I wanted to and to give them a review from a positive experience we had. Jeff Grange was great to deal with as was the sales team. Such easy going folks and professional in all aspects. Jeff was excellent at reviewing the features of the models we were interested in. We had a good experience buying a new vehicle there. We did go to other dealers nearby like the Automall but came back to Mertin a second time feeling comfortable there.
We were fortunate enough to be the very first people to buy a 2017 hyundai Elantra from Mertin in Chilliwack . Our salesman was Adam Ratvay, and on every level he was the best. He listened to what we wanted, didn't rush, and as the colour we wanted wasn't on the lot, he made it happen, The sales team from start to finish made us feel like we were making the right decision. I had the best experience here buying my new car! It was the first car I'd bought in just over a decade, so I really appreciated how informative and friendly Alex was. He was professional, easy to approach, and friendly --- I didn't feel rushed into a decision, and feel my time inside the dealership was managed amazingly! He took the time to show me how all the fancy new stuff in my elantra worked, and even was able to get in the colour I was hoping for. I also want to note that the pandemic safety regulations are followed inside of the dealership very well too. (:
Bought a used Honda SUV and had a great experience. Rick was our salesman who was very friendly and patient with my family. Jonathan was our financing person and managed to get us approved despite my wife and I being self employed. He was also very nice to deal with during the whole transaction. We ended up having a small hiccup with our warranty about a week after the purchase. I went back to the dealership and they fixed the situation right away with no questions asked. We will definitely purchase here again!

Took my car in for warranty work and part needed was shipped to another dealership across the country. I was then left without my car for 41/2 days because of the mistake. No courtesy car was offered and no apology was given when car was finally fixed. I was disappointed in the dealership I have bought many parts and my new tires here. I won't be back I will be using the Abbotsford hyundai dealership from now on. REPLY: An apology at the time would have gone along way when this occurred as mistakes happen instead of your part was sent somewhere else making it my problem. Im assuming this type of thing happens often as I posted this after I got my car back and no one can figure out which person it is. I was more disappointed than anything else with how it was handled. Futher to this review I now drive all the way to Abbotsford to get servicing on my Hyundai Accent. Customer service at Abbotsford Hyundai is night and day compared to Mertin Hyundai. I have heard good things about the sales department but the service department has some to be desired. I work in a large organization in the area and have passed along my experience at Mertin Hyundai and several of my Co workers have had negative experiences at this hyundai location. Do yourself a favor drive the extra distance to the Abbotsford location for servicing.
I just bought my first car... a Hyundai Elantra. I dealt with Nick at Mertin Hyundai and what a fantastic experience. I had been to other dealerships and felt like I was being attacked by vultures. But Nick was gentle, knowledgeable, very kind, and paid attention to all the little details of the interaction. He had the car washed before I test drove it. When I had decided to purchase it, Nick helped make the negotiations smooth and painless. I picked my car up the following day and it was detailed perfectly. He had arranged my meeting with the business manager and the insurance agent so there was no waiting. The transaction was very smooth. We purchased a brand new 2019 Hyundai Kona EV Ultimate from Mertin Hyundai in Chilliwack and picked it up on May 2nd of this year. We have been waiting a while to post this review to let our experience settle a bit before writing about it. With respect to the positive aspect of the experience, the sales person Edward was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. We truly did appreciate this as part of the buying process. We also have very little negative to say about the car beyond the fact that the stock tires on the car are woefully inadequate on anything but dry roads. This of course is not the dealership’s fault but rather Hyundai for choosing a what is apparently a poor quality low resistance tire to achieve range at the expense of safety. I note the close cousin to this car, the Kia Niro EV has much better stock tires on it (Michelin). Any positive experience was quickly overshadowed by the fact that Mertin Hyundai added an additional $2000 fee to the manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP on Hyundai’s corporate website) on top of already significant dealer/documentation/financing fees, etc. While it is certainly within their right to do this, acknowledging that this is a difficult to obtain vehicle, this extra fee pushed the car into the luxury tax bracket in British Columbia contributing to a significant tax cost on top of the $2000. Sadly, we were a little too trusting and we didn’t really realize what had happened until after the fact. Overall, we were out close to an additional $3000 between the extra $2000 and the additional taxes. If we had not had a trade in, this would have been much higher. When asked after they fact, Mertin Hyundai was unapologetic and noted that that this additional cost was negotiable on other vehicles but non-negotiable on the Kona EV due to its limited availability. They further stated that other dealerships add similar fees (I am aware some do but this has not been our experience at many dealerships in buying many new cars in recent years and we have in fact avoided dealerships that did this). Overall, we were left with a good car but a very sour taste in our mouth. Also, interestingly enough, we never received any form of customer survey after the purchase as well. Overall, this business practice is very short sighted and I hope that Mertin Hyundai is satisfied with the $2000 they inflated the price by as this is the last purchase (including service) of any kind they will ever see from us or anyone else we know. By the time we were done with the $2000 and the extra tax bill, we could have got a Tesla for the money we were out. Overall, just because they can add these fees doesn’t meant they should and Mertin Hyundai should especially consider the consequences of the fees and the taxes (luxury tax) on their customers (and repeat/referral business in the future) when working this out. In the end, it’s a free market and they can charge these fees, but we can also take our business and anyone else’s we can influence to a different car dealer in the future. In a perfect world, Mertin Hyundai would make this right but my expectations are pretty low given the response prior when we asked the dealer about this. Ultimately do your homework on the price of these cars and beware of this practice at Mertin Hyundai. That being said, if you are swimming in cash and you want to pay more for your car and pay the luxury tax, then absolutely buy a Kona EV there.

The service was really great! We had an ICBC claim and Replacement insurance that I was truly nervous about. These people went out of their way to make sure that everything went smoothly for us. They gave us as much time as we needed to ensure the step by step process was clear. They even provided great direction for making sure we got the claim money we were supposed to get. Free winter tires were included. Our salesman Saad and the financial agent Tanya were particularly the ones who are to be commended. However the other agents also worked as a team with them. Bought my first brand new car (2016 Elantra) from them in April. Dealt with Jacob in sales, he was very pleasant and informed me about a vehicle I was not originally aware of but suited my needs at a better price than what I initially came in. After some research at home (as I would not be buying a vehicle I had no looked into substantially) I came in with an offer and with minimum extraordinarily low-stress haggling we had a deal that worked for both myself and the dealership. Since then I have had my first service and their service department is equally pleasant to deal with. So far I have no complaints and I am very much enjoying my new Elantra. Would definitely say my entire experience was a positive one and have already mentioned to friends. Jacob wasn't too pushy and answered all my questions during the test drive of both the Accent and Elantra I tried out. I would definitely go to them again in the future for both sales and service.

Just leased a new 2018 Hyundai Kona. From front to back the staff were great! I never felt pressured and they made me the boss of the whole transaction. He was amazingly helpful and straightforward - a rarity it seems with certain salesman. When I came into the dealership everyone was so kind and helpful and they honored the agreement we had spoken of on the phone. If you want a pleasant car buying experience, save time and go straight to Mertins. I can't recommend them enough. They are the best Hyndai dearlership in the Lower Mainland!
Don helped my boyfriend and myself trade in our old Ford for a brand new Ioniq hybrid. Coming to Hyundai, we were under the impression that the gasoline only model was our sure bet, however, after Don went fully over the features of all 3 Ioniq options, we chose the hybrid/plug-in, something we had never considered before arriving! We couldn't be happier with our new car and the AMAZING service, hospitality, and warmth that emanates from the Mertin Hyundai staff. Would recommend to anyone in the market for a new car, or looking to trade in; car shopping doesn't have to be stressful and you don't need to be swindled by a sleezeball who's only trying to push their product. The Hyundai's practically sell themselves, the staff is really only there to make sure you are more than happy with the decision you're making and that you're being fully taken care of(the warranties are amazing!!). Loved the sales department! But I've never been so consistently disappointed by any other service in my life, than the service department at this location. Any time something is wrong with my vehicle, I take it in and am told it's fine. I ask direct questions about warranty maintenance and can never get a straight answer. When I do get a straight answer, I'm told after the fact that the person I spoke with was wrong and there is no accountability for what they've told me. Every time I go in for one service, I'm pressured relentlessly to purchase another service that I don't need (often having to say no at least 3 times per visit), only to find out I've neglected services I DID need for warranty, on a representatives word that I didn't. I will be taking my business to the abbotsford location from now on. Can't wait until my warranty is up and I can go to my regular old mechanic.

I bought a brand new Tucson 2.0 Dec. 27 2017. Jan. 9 2018 I took it in because it is sucking back gas worse then my 2016 F150 5.0. They proceeded to say all of the following: "It is all fuel injected and computerized, its not like I can just tighten a screw. You idle too much You start it and stop it too many times in a day Its cold out You are never going to get good mileage because you dont drive on the highway enough. Your tires are spinning way more (we had just had a couple days of snow) It's normal because it has to be broken in. There is no check engine light on it is completely normal and they have never had any complaints. They will not do anything until I drive 5000kms. So with all of these lovely reasons my BRAND NEW car sucks fuel like a jet engine, no acknowledgement at all of my frustration, disappointment or worry, heck not even a simple "Sorry" I leave feeling worse then when I walked in and still have the same problem. So being the "apparently gullable girl" they treated me like I called several other Hyundai dealerships in colder climates as you know we had a day or 2 of snow and a few days of a whole whopping -5. Kamloops said it was extreme to bring the car in right away there is definitely something wrong! Edmonton mysteriously said the same thing! To be getting fuel ecomony that bad was quite unusual and to bring it in to get checked. Go back to hyundai, walk in the main showroom door and watch everyone scatter! stand there for at least 5 minutes before someone finally got the balls to talk to us...well I am still not getting anywhere and am now fed up I demand a meeting with the owner. While waiting for my meeting I decide to check out some similar vehicles at Mertin Nissan. Drove a Murano and loved it so brought my paperwork from the Tuscon in just to see what the numbers would look like and ....SHOCK pure SHOCK!!!! They had tacked on almost $8000 of extra warranties I was unaware of!!!! Well I was so infuriated I just had to leave. I thought about it for a few days and well really its my fault I guess for trusting them and not really searching all the papers. I did not even think they would do that at all, after everything was signed he handed me 3 envelopes and said you have this that and something else and I didnt even think twice about it having no idea what really happened!!!! One week later I get that meeting with the owner, I make my case, explain the lovely way I have been treated and after letting him know that every other dealership I have talked to said there was something wrong he finally agrees to do a fuel consumption test at 3000kms. (I was at 2000) This will give him time to look into everything etc. 3000 kms hit and I book an appointment! Go for my appointment and now they can't do it because of weather, then tell me it has to be perfect weather to do the test, dry not cold not windy at all....ect. So book for the next day, they cancel again, the next day....cancel again, next day??? yup cancel again 4 days in a row I had an appointment and they cancelled!! Short staffed, service manager not there, weather blah blah blah. Why am I less important then any other customer? Finally on day 5 they do the so called fuel consumption test, tell me its getting fantastic fuel economy at 7.7L/ 100kms. The most I have ever got out of a 62 litre tank was 411kms, and that was mostly all highway (100kms/ hr. ) and driving as slow and easy as I could in town. So I ask how that adds up? anyone else I have talked to with the same car gets at LEAST 550kms to a tank right from day one, most of the time I only get 300-350kms per tank. "Well there is no check engine light on so there is nothing we can do and theres nothing wrong" So now I sit here still with a gas guzzling POS that has already cost me OVER $800 in fuel for 3300 kms and an extra $8000 of payments I have to make!!! This has been an absolute nightmare for me and if I can even save one person from having to go through this hell then at least I can say something positive happened from all this!!
Brought in my (non-Hyundai) car to be detailed and they did an outstanding job! I had a water leak fixed, so there was some mold buildup and they knew how to properly take care of the issue and when I picked up the car it looked brand new throughout. Top notch service and excellent results!
About a month ago, I bought a new Hyundai Elantra and I am so glad that I did! I love my new car and my experience with purchasing my vehicle was excellent! I was feeling a bit anxious to step foot onto a car lot because (I'm sure like a lot of others) I know nothing about vehicles! Tanya M was very kind and patient when explaining every detail to me in a way that I could understand! She put me at ease and I did not feel any pressure to make a decision. I felt comfortable asking her any questions that I had. I was able to make a confident and informed decision with Tanya's help! Next I went over to Tanya U to learn about protection packages and warranties. Again I was nervous because I don't understand this type of lingo but Tanya was patient and thoroughly explained my options in a clear way. Thank you both for all of your help and patience! We test drove many different makes and models before buying a 2017 Santa Fe Sport. The experience at Mertin Hyundai was exceptional. We dealt with Tanya Maahs and she was, well... perfect; no pressure at all and didn't burden us with sales pitches. You could tell she actually cared about our family and helping us make a decision we would be happy with. We actually test drove the Santa Fe first, then told Tanya we were going to the other dealerships in town to test drive the competition. She was so confident and gracious with us as we piled our kids (along with their car and booster seats) into the Santa Fe. After test driving things all around Chilliwack, I called Tanya the next day, so I could drive the Santa Fe again and take time to make the right decision. Tanya was so great and let me take as much time as I needed; she answered all my (thousands of) questions, even offered to give the the vehicle overnight if I wanted. She really knows her stuff and helped us get into the model and trim level we needed. Thanks Tanya! Needless to say, the service and value of our experience caused us to make a vehicle purchase and I'm confident we'll be happy with our new Santa Fe for many years. This week I drove from Lytton to Chilliwack in BC to arrange for the purchase of an orange 2018 Nissan Versa Note from Mertin Hyundai. It is a perfect car for me, with all the features that anyone would want, plus extremely low mileage. This would have been a seamless and pleasant experience -- except for the COVID-19 circumstances that limited my ability to pay for the vehicle. I had expected to use a personal cheque, believing that it would be a simple matter to take the cheque to the bank and get it certified once the exact figure was known. Unfortunately, the dealership was not able to accept a personal cheque, AND all the Royal Banks in Chilliwack were closed, despite it being a weekday, due to COVID-19 restrictions. A telephone request that the Bank allow a temporary increase to my daily POS limit to the amount required was rejected by the Bank - notwithstanding that I had more than sufficient funds on deposit with them. That left one alternative – credit cards. However, the use of credit cards results in increased expense for the dealership that normally would have been charged to me (in this case $465.00). My purchase experience ended on a happy note, for, as each resolution in turn was rejected or refused, the Manager agreed to waive the credit card fees. I will be sure to take all my future business to this dealership and to recommend it to my friends.
Salesperson Adam is the best. He is thoroughly knowledgeable on his cars and works to make sure the customer is in the right car for their needs. He really knows his brand, and unlike many other dealerships, Adam knows his competition and what sets his vehicles apart. He was engaged without being pushy, which I appreciated. I will be looking forward to buying from him in the future.

Originally had a great experience purchasing my vehicle here until a year later when I started receiving phone calls from someone named Saad trying to get me to trade my vehicle for something new. I normally don't mind phone calls like that, I always like to know my options but when he refused to take no for an answer and continued to harass and call/text me daily while completely ignoring the fact that I told him that I wouldn't be able to get a new car at this time it was a bit too far. It got to the point that I actually had to block his phone number because he was so pushy and would not stop. The only reason they are getting even two stars is because working with Edward was great he never pushed me and was very patient. Between my boyfriend and myself we have purchased 3 vehicles from 3 different dealerships and I have never dealt with a salesmen as pushy and aggressive as Saad.
The entire team was kind, welcoming, knowledgable and understanding. Great service, respecting our time and questions. Great selection of vehicles and gave us great price for our trade.

I myself bought a pre-owned car here last week, & the service I was recieved was good. I was greeted by friendly people who were willing to help me out, & Ian Long went over & above to make sure things worked for me, payment-wise. I'm glad to've been able to shop at a Chilliwack establishment that's proven itself over the years.

We purchased a used Hyundai Elantra from Mertin Hyundai on Friday, Aug. 14th and this was one of the most positive experiences we've ever had with a car dealership and sales person. We were first greeted in the sales lot by Nick Spencer who was friendly, welcoming and courteous, yet very professional at the same time. From the beginning it was obvious his main interest was that we choose the right car for us out of all those available. Nick was knowledgeable about each car we looked at, patiently answered all our questions, and never once applied any pressure to buy anything. We told him later we'd like to go home and think about our selections that interested us and he was very obliging and understanding, inviting us to come back and test drive a couple of the vehicles the next day. (most car dealers would be, in my experience, reluctant to let you leave the lot at that point.) We came back the next day to test drive one of the cars we liked, and with Nick's help, ultimately selected one to purchase. We felt he worked out a very fair deal for us on our old trade-in (our first Hyundai), and from there on the entire process, from transferring insurance to completing all the paperwork by Tanya in the finance department, went smoothly and quickly. At no time did we ever feel pressure, and it always seemed like Nick's entire focus was that we get the right vehicle for us and within our stated budget. We feel he would go out of his way and do anything to earn our business and our trust, and so we would like to thank Nick (who is now their Sales Manager), Tanya in Finance, and his entire team for giving us this positive experience. We left feeling almost like 'family', and are thrilled with our new Elantra. We would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone contemplating the purchase of a new, or used car. Our experience with the Hyundai brand has been very positive over the ten years we have owned one, and we look forward to many more years of fun driving with our new one. It was our first time buying a new car and the process was easy! We came in based on a video by Ed who is super knowledgeable about electric vehicles. We had very few questions coming in because of the thorough explanation. Definitely check out his YouTube channel: Ed’s Garage before you come to see about the car you might be purchasing. The process of buying the car was very long, so come in prepared for a lot of paperwork, waiting and signatures. The total time after test drive was about 4 hours. Sales people were not overly pushy about the car and options, just asking us if we would like them and moving on when we said no.
We found Tanya to be misleading if not dishonest in her dealings with us. If you want to buy a Hyundai I would suggest that you deal with a different sales associate. We have always had good experiences at Valley Toyota.
I 100% would recommend them, Ian Long was quick to respond and find me what i was looking for in my price range, wasnt pushy, did everything they could to accommodate me with not living in town so held the truck for me until I could make it work to get out to them, even offered to try to bring me the vehicle themselves, wasnt any hidden fees or costs, the payments I was quoted was what they were, super fast and friendly service, will definitely stay a customer to them
Brett Mammel was our sales consultant during a nearly 2 month period. The first visit to the dealership was with a friend of ours who will be returning from Costa Rica. He and I both had a lot of questions on a number of vehicles and occupied a big part of Brett’s day. Not once did Brett ever show any sign of fatigue or disinterest. Through out he was calm, polite, and informative. I was looking at possibly staying with Murray Hyundai in White Rock but thanks to Brett’s thorough but non intrusive style my decision was confirmed to stay with Mertin. Jon Long, the financial associate, also deserves praise as he dealt with a couple of issues that could have delayed me driving off the lot with the new Kona by a few days. It was a very comfortable experience overall. My thanks to Brett and the whole team at Mertin for a enjoyable experience.
Called a few days ahead to set up a test drive for a used car. Got there, it was on empty, salesman knew it, told us we had about 50km left in the tank!?? We decided, after discussion with same salesman, to come back in a week to test again after concerns about vehicle were fixed. Was advised a few days later that we needed to give a deposit for repairs to be done. We did. Came back, as we said we would, from Burnaby, to find out that NOTHING had been done to fix the car! I will NEVER deal with this car dealership again.

You never know what your going to get with a car sales man. I am the type of person to do some research before I go into a dealership. Typically I end up knowing more than the sales person about their cars. This was far from the case here. Nick knew so many features about the new Palisade is was awesome. He really gave me an appreciation of the feature and safety designed into the vehicle. So much more than I go from all the online reviews and comparisons.
My car broke down, turns out there was a recall and they helped me get it fixed in a timely manner, despite them being busy! They replaced my entire engine for free and paid for my tow as it was a warranty issue. Really liked these people!

Traded in my 2020 Hyundai EV Kona for another New vehicle so I could get a lower interest rate which would lower the amount I was paying monthly. The Finance person Maya was incredibly helpful and positive and was able to get me approved for the financing. She set me up with Akaash to help me find a vehicle I loved and that would work for me. He did a lot of leg work and showed me several cars but didn’t give up till he found the one that worked for me and I was excited about. He continually went back and fourth to management with all my questions and concerns till I was confident with the numbers. He was very friendly and professional. My only complaint would be the amount of time it took from seeing the first car to leaving the lot with mine. I felt like I spent my whole day there and then felt like I didn’t have time to check out the outside of the vehicle for any scratches or marks because it was already 30 minutes past closing time. All in All it was a great experience.

Purchased a brand new 2020 Ioniq hybrid from this dealership in Oct. It was not a routine smooth experience but after 2 months I am happy to say that I am finally enjoying my vehicle in perfect condition and couldn't be happier with it! Any dealership can experience issues or drop the ball, some situations are out of their control, but Vince the sales manager made sure that my issues were resolved, my concerns were heard and that I was well taken care of. The service shop was fantastic and kept me up to date at all times. What impressed me the most was that when faced with a problem, they committed to making sure I still had the best customer experience possible!

Edward and the entire sales and finance team were incredible. So understanding personable and patient. They were incredibly quick efficient and kind. Including removing my child’s car seat from my old vehicle and putting it in my trunk so I could install it at home. Allowing me to leave my previous truck on the lot over weekend so I can pick up at my convince on Monday morning when I bring my new vehicle in to get the protection package. From the moment I drove on the lot until I drove off service was top notch. I purchased a brand new 2022 hyundia tuscon after previously looking at a palisade back in February 2021. When I contacted Edward on Friday afternoon he insured me he would find me a vehicle that would work with in my current budget even if I didn’t drive my dream palisade off the lot that I would be able to built up to the vehicle in a year or less with consistent payment history. I love the tuscon so much I may be convinced to stay with in the Tuscon line up. For the foreseeable future

We were looking for an EV to take advantage of the federal and provincial rebates. We visited Mertin Hyundai and were told by the sales person that there is no movement on the vehicle MSRP because they are so desirable, and there would be an additional $599 document fee to process the transaction. We completed a credit application for the advertised rate of 1.99 over 84 months. We were approved and when it came time to actually purchase the vehicle, the sales manager noted there would be an ADDITIONAL $930 in fees including a $500 "finance fee". This fee was not noted on the credit application anywhere.
The service staff are all amazing, including the appointment coordinator. Getting to talk to the technician and Brent made me trust the service I received.

I've had my Hyundai Sonata 2012 for 8 years almost 200000 kms , it lost power , engine light flashing. Took it to Mertin and although it took a week to determine cause, knock sensor replaced and engine warranty still valid even after 200000kms. Very happy with the service we received. Thanks Mertin

I can’t say enough about the great service I got at Mertin Hyundai in Chilliwack BC. Even though I live in Victoria, BC, dealing with Mertin Hyundai was a breeze. Big thanks to Edward, who is a very knowledgeable sales guy, for getting me into a Kona Electric. I met him in a Kona Electric Facebook forum and was so helpful that I new I wanted to do a deal with him. He went out of his way by driving over 3 hours to pick me up at the ferry terminal to take me to the dealership. My Kona was clean, detailed and waiting for me. I appreciate his attention to every little detail. I also want to thank Tanya in the finance department for handling all the paperwork for my deal. She was so pleasant and friendly and had everything ready for me to sign. She even called me the Sunday before my pickup and after hours to make sure I had everything I needed for my scheduled delivery date. Our sales advisor Brendan, business manager Johnathan, and sales manager Nick fit into that first category. For a young man of his age Brendan is miles ahead of the pack. He has a great balance of professionalism and knowledge of the product mixed with friendly no pressure people skills. Johnathan was great as well. We were able to connect on a personal level easily which made the number crunching less crunchy. After doing quite a lot of research and looking for a new SUV, we bought our first Hyundai Tucson. Big thanks to Brett Mammel who spent a lot of time with us. I could not be any happier with the service I recently received at Mertin Hyundai- it was AMAZING! I have purchased 2 vehicles from here in the last couple years, because I like the product. It is the treatment I've experienced from the service department that has solidified my loyalty to this dealership and I will highly recommend them to everyone! As a Community Health Worker, it is essential that I have my vehicle to get me around. Fixed Manager, Raphael, went above and beyond to make sure I was back on the road quickly and safely. While taking the time to help me actually understand things like my warranty packages (which was confusing and daunting to try and figure out on my own). I feel like the team there actually cares about the customer and maintaining positive relationships. Side note: it's my understanding that there is new management on the sales side (Nick?). He honoured an agreement that was left unfilled, at the time of my last purchase while I was there getting my vehicle serviced recently. This speaks volumes for me as to the recognition of the value in each costumer, and not just the bottom line. 5 stars for genuine kindness and professional integrity.

After purchasing our brand new 2021 pallisade the entertainment system alerted us that our first service was due, so we booked an appointment. We then got a very expensive oil change with no nice perks ie: a quick vaccum, a wipe down of any interior surfaces or even an exterior wash (we did receive a voucher to find time to use a out sourced carwash) After all this we found through an email that our first service should have included a lot more than just an oil change which none of was even brought to our attention let alone done.Needless to say we are not very happy with the customer service at Mertin. They definitely do not go above and beyond

Too long wait, for a timely scheduled appointment. May be low in technical staff but overall satisfactory results. While waiting 90 mins for my service I was waiting for sales person to come to me about getting a new vehicle or approach me at least. I wandered around new vehicles but no sales person even cared to come to me or start a nice conversation. I was really looking to upgrade my 2 years old vehicle to a brand new one. That’s fine I’ll go somewhere else.
I have owned Hyundais for over a decade. I quite enjoy them, and am a HUGE fan of Velosters. I have owned my Veloster turbo for just over two years... it is a dream to drive... right up to when my turbo gave up the ghost and died :( (I feel it necessary to mention I bought it used) If you know anything about turbo... it’s an EXPENSIVE fix. William, worked overtime to help in my particular situation , digging in to every possible avenue and option, explaining to me the whys, wherefores, and how tos of the repair itself. Between William and Jon, the service manager, they went over and above to ensure my car was fixed and that I was not just satisfied, but blessed beyond measure at their efforts. I have had several opportunities to work with the Service team in Chilliwack over the years and I have never been disappointed. Thank you for all of your incredible work guys! I am one happy customer... and I’ll tell anyone to check out your shop when they need service :)

Went to get my 2020 Alantra serviced in Chilliwack as I had lost faith in the dealership that was in my hometown. I was very pleased with the way things were handled in the Chilliwack dealership and also it was brought to my attention some information that was a mileage gap error on the paperwork concerning a call back from the previous dealership. I was very happy that the apprehension that I had ,was put to rest as Mertin Hyundai righted the information with the headquarters right there on the spot. My warranty was explained in a way that I could understand and I was surprised at what was actually on my extended warranty. Thank you very much Martin Hyundai and William for catching the error . My car was clean and ready to go.Due to COVID washing the car was not an option so they gave me a car wash coupon to take to a nearby car wash. Thank you Mertin Hyundai!

I was looking for a car for a while and went to many dealerships in chilliwack. I can honestly say buying at Mertin hyundai was the best decision I made. My sales person was Saad and he was the reason I decided to purchase here, made the whole process very easy and still managed to get the car in my budget. Also wanted to give credit to Vince he's the sales manager here and he assisted throughout the whole process and was very involved, which my wife and I appreciated.

Purchased the "extension" package for rims / paint etc and was told to do all the fixing when the contract was coming due. Followed those instructions and now can not utilize the $2,500 package I bought due to time and approval to cover chip repair. What a waste of $$$$. Feel totally ripped off buying the insurance to make look new again, to find out the $2,500 is chunked into paint, rims, interior. Have fun getting anything buffed out without going into your own pocket. I would not recommend their benefits package to anyone. On a side note, the sales person was very good, no pressure and let us work things through. This was put on us by finance.

In my personal experience with Hyundai in Chilliwack I definitely regret my decision and wished I would have went to another location. The reason being is when I test drove the Hyundai Veloster that I purchased and turned up the music I asked my sales rep Aimee are the speakers blown... She replied no we are just in a bad reception area. Everything else was fine but the center console was damaged .. Upon purchasing the vehicle I got to speak to Chris the sales manager who gave me exceptional customer service in the beginning. Reduced my interested rate so it would fit in my ideal budget. I asked Chris before signing the papers if he could please replace the central console piece he said no problem easy fix. Okay great. I also asked about the left back bumper as it looked like a clip was missing he said don't worry we can fix it, it's a small fix. Well when I brought my car into their shop the first time they have the wrong parts.. They did an awful job cleaning my car.. They blamed the dirt on the fact it sat outside over night... No there was still tons of dirt all over my car. Then, I got told they wouldn't fix my bumper because they would need to replace the entire thing. Okay I expressed my frustration Tanya was then extremely rude to me. They fixed only ONE speaker which they thought was under warranty turns out yet again they made another error.. it wasn't under warranty and they couldn't bill me because they told me they would fix it.. well as soon as I sat in my car I realized the right must have been blown too. I asked Chris can you fix it. It's not fair that you lied to me and now you won't fix it. He told me he won't do anything. He will stand behind his "great" staff and will tell everyone his version that he did "allot" to help me. These people will be dishonest and do anything they can to make the sale. Chris, please tell me am I missing anything of our experience and your fabulous customer service that you gave me? Or all the "things" you so kindly did..

My experience with Saad was absolutely terrible - and would give 0 stars for that. He asked me to replace my chip in the windshield after I had signed my papers, I explained my deductible would be $500 and he said it wouldn’t be more than $200 and he offered me a gift card for that, which was fine but after talking with icbc they confirmed it was in fact $500. After telling this to saad he expected me to pay for it out of my pocket Because he “gave more on my trade in” but then I would in fact be out of money. He had me in tears and I would never deal with him again.

After sales service has been a disaster. It was promised that the Navigation system will be up to date. It is now 4 weeks and there is no response and no indication when it will be updated. Arsalan Zuhair Your response is factually incorrect. 1. There was never a discussion that navigation system cannot be up dated as evident from various text messages and email. The messages clearly state that the navigation system will be up dated. 2. Hardware update is not suggested or implied by me. Updated maps are required. 3. I reported, by email to Victoria, Sales person, that Walmart, Chilliwack does not show. Walmart, Chilliwack has been in existence for the last 8-10 years. Your Sales Manager, Nick, was unable to find in the navigation system. 4. Hyundai releases updated maps for 2012 model every year in April.

The first time my boyfriend and I ever bought a car was last year, and we ended up totalling it in an accident a few months ago. We had the absolute worst experience with the dealership we used last year and it made everything so much harder to deal with the aftermath of the accident. Since we had such a bad experience with the first dealership we were very hesitant to go to any other dealership. We have a few friends that have Hyundai's so we made the decision to go look there. We dealt with Nick first and he was AMAZING!! He didn't pressure us ONCE nor did he get impatient with us. He just went through all options as well as went into detail about everything we needed to know and didnt hide anything!! It took us a few weeks to finally make a move on a vehicle and once we did he did everything possible to get us into the vehicle we wanted. From him we went to Tanya who worked with us on all the finalizing paperwork and she was just as AWESOME! She was so sweet and made everything super easy as well as was so patient in letting us make a decision on what warranty to go with. She was super personable and just made our experience a 5 star! We will 100% go back to them and we will recommend this dealership and these staff to everyone I know!!
I am delighted with my new Tucson. I took my old one in for servicing a week ago. At the same time I met with Brandon Yee who helped me identify the features I wanted in a newer car. He immediately showed me a Tucson in excellent condition that met the criteria. I took the car for a drive and the rest is history. We where out in Abbotsford at the auto mall looking at suv’s And couldn’t find what we wanted. We got tired of sales staff that couldn’t answer questions, wanted to charge to much, and kept showing a vehicle in the show room that had a dead battery. Or tried selling the gm’s vehicle that had many km’s And wanted retail price. So we started texting with the staff at Mertin Hyundai in Chilliwack and they had a couple of vehicles we where interested in. We headed out to have a look and they had 2 great vehicles. They had great product knowledge and gave us a great price for our trade in. We where able to get a new Palisade in a higher trim level for the same price elsewhere. Chris the general manager worked out a deal and we where in our new car in a couple of hours. The dealership had 9 deals that day and where happy to stay late to complete our sale and send us home in our new vehicle. We had a great experience buying at Mertin Hyundai. Thanks to all the staff.

I arrived early prior to service staff arriving, was welcomed to wait inside. Service staff came and git me from waiting area at apt time. I was offered shuttle service however i opted to wait there. Took time stated and was ready to go in just over an hour. Received car wash ticket so i may get my car washed.

I bought my snow tires and rims from mertin hyundai with the agreement that all the future tires changes would be $30.00. On Friday june 25, 2021 I had an appt to have my summer tires put back on. Low and behold the $30.00 has now been increased to $40.00. Just a scam to get you to buy tires from them. Won't be getting my tires changed there again.

I was travelling from Penticton to Whistler and my tyre got flattened while driving on the highway. Mertin Hyundai was the one who was nearest to the highway I contacted them and got the best help. The staff at Mertin Hyundai go the extra kilometre (this is a metric country) to look after you with your new or used purchase, everyone from the service guys, the detainers through to sales and management are like one big happy family. They take the time to make you comfortable during the buying experience. You walk (well drive) away with every box ticked (literally, there’s a form) I would certainly recommend Mertin Hyundai to family and friends.

Have a 2014 Hyundai sante fe, my engine was replaced due to a factory recall, happy with that but while my vehicle was in for the replacement motor, the service advisor called saying I needed a new transmission and transfer case at a cost of 4500, I'm still driving the vehicle 10 thousand k later no problems, seems like they wanted to make some dollars back, will never go back.

This is the third Hyundai Tucson we have purchased. Right from the beginning, the salesman, Brandon, made us feel comfortable and at ease. He asked us what our needs and wants were regarding our new vehicle and he found one that was just what we were looking for. He is a very pleasant and affable young man. His no pressure approach made buying a car very enjoyable and we would highly recommend him to anyone that is in the market for a new or used vehicle. The sales manager was also very accommodating and worked with us and his general manager to make an offer that would not only be acceptable to us, but to make us happy as returning clients. At no point throughout this process did we feel they did not care about our business, and in fact went above and beyond to ensure we had a very positive buying experience. We will definitely be back when the time comes to purchase another vehicle.

Recently we went to Mertin Hyundai in Chilliwack to check out a Hyundai Kona EV. We wete attracted to this dealership because of ratings and reviews that we had read online. We were not disappointed! We dealt with two salesperson, Jesse and Matthew. They were both friendly respectful, knowledgeable and patient with us. Also we met Vince, the manager who was very friendly, accommodating and gracious to us. We are seniors and we appreciated all the patient people at Mertin Hyundai. We certainly did not expect to be shopping for a car during a pandemic but our other car had "bit the dust." Consequently, we appreciated their attention to Covid protocols. As for the Kona EV we ended up buying, it is a dream. We are so glad that at Mertin Hyundai, the team made us feel like they are available anytime to answer questions we might have . I took my 2014 Elantra in for a recall repair. The Service Advisor, Brent, was excellent to deal with. He took the time to explain the process and was very efficient at communicating when the repairs were done. He was also very courteous and professional when we picked up the vehicle. Overall, Brent and Mertin Hyundai were great to have dealt with. A cleaned and vacuumed car too!!
