I was at Harpers the other day washing my truck and I noticed the pressure of the water wasn't as good as maybe it should be. I approached the lady working and she immediately ushered me into another bay and payed for the rest of my car wash. She closed off the bay I was in and started trouble shooting the problem. I appreciate the customer service that I was given as its hard to find good customer service these days!! Harpers will now be my go to car wash.

Great car wash. Plenty of bay so you don't feel rushed with someone behind you. The only problem is that the green light comes on and the door opens before a bay is open and it's not very easy to see if someone has already left. Usually the person entering has to back out.

I came here once when they didn't accept cards and I was upset about that but came back another time and they finally had the machines in place. This car wash is great due to the angled stalls and you do not feel rushed to finish. Angled car washes are really rare. The wash was great, no issues.

Harpers USED to be the best. Sadly, that is not the case anymore... First, their "estimated time waiting" signs are grossly inaccurate. When you're at the 10 minute sign, expect at least a 20 minute wait. In previous reviews that call this out, Harper replies with some cookie-cutter nonsense about how they're an approximation but as accurate as possible. Hogwash, they aren't. Every time I've ever waited, and there's been plenty, the signs were never accurate. Because this latest visit pissed me off so much, I went into my CC history for the past few years and looked at how much I've frequented Harpers. In the past four years I've been to Harpers over 100 times and have spent just over $1,000. It's not like this was my first go 'round before I decided to light them up on Google. So, I waited 25 minutes to get in and begin washing. This is what the typical wash at Harpers is now: Step one: Select your setting and wait 15-20 seconds for the wand to actually spit out what you chose. The only exception to this appears to be rinse (note: NOT spot-free rinse), which loads up nice and fast. Otherwise, you will waste time waiting for soap to turn to wax, to turn to rinse, etc. Now, this is true of EVERY car wash, but it is particularly bad at Harpers. It's only gotten worse over the years. Step two: find out mid-wash that the "spot-free rinse" function doesn't work at all. Bear in mind that there's no notice that it doesn't work, you just find out when you get this pathetic little stream of... well, watch the video and decide for yourself. Step three: look for an attendant to resolve your issue. Keep looking, because they won't be in the attached office, and you may never know if you DO find them since they don't wear anything resembling a uniform. --- Now, Harpers loves to blame the federal and provincial governments for their problems. You can see this in a bunch of their responses to other negative reviews. I think that's hogwash. This is a textbook example of a business that USED to be great that no longer is, and that's a shame because deep SE Calgary could really use a kickass wand wash. I guess I'll start looking for it.

I'd like to modify my previous review, my previous concern was essentially about the AT machines in the car wash that showed 5 $ my final bill at the end of washing my car and I found that 9.99 $ were taken from my credit card, in reality this was just a pre-authorization, few days later, only 5 $ were billed on my credit card. My apologies to this car wash administrator for my previous review. I am here to rectify it. I did mention in my previous review that I had my car washed with soap, rinsed then waxed for just 5 bucks. I am sure that I'll come back soon to rewash my car.

This wand wash is my go to spot. There's 6 bays and the staff is good about keeping them clean and the equipment in good shape. Water is hot and great pressure so car drys well. Brushes are normally clean but I always give it a quick spray to knock any loose dirt off of them. It'll never do as good as a bucket wash but considering I'm paying for convenience and speed it beats the alternative of having a dirty car. Some days there is a line up, but that's common for hot busy summer days. Price wise it's on par with automated car washes in the area but those don't do near as good of a job.

Then a VERY NICE lady came out and referred me to go around to the back I said "will do" to follow up the blonde lady is thoughtful she also showed me and explained to me the payment options .. it seems that washed times are getting shorter everywhere this year they have just as long as a wash time as one of my favorite places the ESSO on Ogden.rd.. yet this place has vacuums right in the wash bays I highly recommend it. It has good informative stuff it has a nice washroom and has vacuums rate in the bay and also there is a beeping when you come down to the last 10 seconds of your time very helpful very highly recommended worse the 10-minute drive from the Esso on Ogden Road so much more worth it

Usually just love this car wash but tonight on March 3rd the staff member on was just terrible. It was super busy with 8-10 cars waiting and the employee parked his own car in a bay. Further as it got 20 minutes from closing (9:40PM) he closed 6 of the 8 bays and making the wait take forever. I was the last vehicle to get into the car wash leaving around 6 sitting in the line waiting with door locked - while they were still open!!! Not sure how you can call that good customer service... Just brutal

Used to come here all the time back in the early 2000s, but stopped as I found it to be a rip off, even with the stamp coupons. Had to go in today to wash my BMW before service as I don't like the guys down at BMW to wash my cars and I was in a hurry, and this place is on the way;. After throwing in 5 bucks I managed to wash only half my car. I might aswell have gone to one of those ultimate car washes at the Shell down the street and paid 10 bucks. I think the time allowance at this place is the lowest I have EVER seen, and I will NEVER come back again.

Good car wash! Pressure is great. One thing that was annoying was the hoses was leaking. On the foam cannon, the pressure was super low and slow, making it very hard and time consuming to spray the car down with the foam. The foam spray hosing was leaking from above, along with the spray gun as well. These things can definitely be fixed and looked after. Definitely fixable items. Overall good space on the bays though! Hoping the management or owners will check each bay and make sure at least the hoses aren't leaking, and possibly increasing the pressure for the foam gun so it sprays in an even manner so the car can be sprayed down effectively :)

I come here all the time, sometimes the line is long but that's expected. one question i have is i normally get the gift card $50 ($59 value) . I was told $1 gets you 1 min and 5 sec. but i started to pay attention to the time and i would get charged $3 after i hit the "stop" button after 2 min 4 sec. shouldn't it be $2? I normally love this carwash, but I walked away a little dismayed on my last visit. I decided to spray down my floor mats, but only one of the clamps was actually working, so I just did the drivers side. I forgot to bring my paper towel, so I asked the lady at the front desk if I could have a couple sheets. Nope! Instead I was told I'd have to buy an overpriced roll right there. I literally needed two sheets to dry the backside of my mat before putting it in. UPDATE: The bay I was using was the 2nd last one on the left when driving into the car wash. It was the right mat hanger; the clamp isn't powerful enough to hold the mat. As stated, I needed two sheets of paper towel (to dry the back of my floor mat) because I forgot mine...not a big ask.

I’ve used this car wash extensively since moving into this neighbourhood two years ago. Probably spent thousands of dollars washing both of my cars here. Will not every be back. The older man runnIng the car wash on this day, approached me as I was finishing up and told me to move my car. I told him I will be five minutes longer and he told me to move now. I told him I have already paid and am almost done. He told me I am not paying now and to move my car. Was totally rude and will never go back. Will also tell everyone I know not to use this car wash ever again. Terrible.

Been coming here a long time. It is one of the best in the city and I have taken advantage of free vacuum Friday many times after a wash. Even when it is busy the line moves pretty quick since there are so many bays, and wands have enough pressure that you don't have to spend a fortune going over and over your vehicle. Thanks!

Really. Only accepts loonies for the vacuum outside and the machine wouldn’t accept my cards inside the wash bay dont know why.. no one on site to help but its fine. Ended up putting two dollars in for the vacuum inside the wash bay.. literally lasted a minute and had zero suction. Wont be back. Go to the Chapparal car wash, I put two dollars in and it lasted 2 mins and 30 seconds and has the best power and vacuume hose nozzle to actually fit in the areas that are hard to reach.only good thing is it wasnt that busy.

I just finished washing my vehicle and vacuuming it and grabbed some clothes to wipe off my floor mats before putting them back in and had a lady come over to me telling me to wipe my vehicle down outside. I told her I was only wiping down my mats . She claimed that it was her "business" and walked away. I liked the place before and had been going there mostly every weekend since 2012. I'm so glad that bubbles will be opening on 52nd and cant wait to tell all my friends and family to never go to harpers. Atten: owner. Maybe you should go check your cameras so you actually know what your talking about. If your so worried about customers waiting maybe the owner should wait to wash their vehicle when it's not so busy and maybe you should be washing your vehicle, not watching what other people are doing if your so worried about waiting customers. But your whole response just goes to show how classless you and your so called business is.

This is my go to coin car wash. They have free vacuuming on Fridays. No automatic car wash if that is what you want but they accept coins and credit cards for self washing.

Went here for the free Undercarriage spray they claim to offer on their website which they do not have free or otherwise. Decided to was my top side anyway and was disappointed to only get 1 minute of spray time per dollar. Probably the lowest time per dollar in the city. The only plus is that can start spraying for only $1, if you have something you can wash in under a minute that is.

It's great car wash that's open early and closes late so you can avoid the line up. Never had any issues with the wash or the vacuum. It's $1/minute and to start so you can time your wash easily.

I only have two gripes with this location. People seem to take their sweet time washing their car causing the most horrendous lineups and it seems as if the rates/times may have have changed for the worse? otherwise, it's a great place when you're not waiting 20min at the "5min wait" sign.

I went to try the place today. So I swiped my credit card and it said it charged $1. The sprayer worked for few seconds and stopped, so I ended up putting on $4 coins until I finished. Few minutes when I got off, my credit card was charged $9.94. I didn't understand how the self-serve car wash works as it is my first time to use the service. I called their number four times to inquire why I was also charged on my card, but unfortunately nobody answered the phone. I will not go back again and I regret swipping my card. I could have used my coins instead.

They advertise that they have an undercarriage wash but they have it turned off for "winter"...its September. When I asked if I could use it they said "no it's off and doesn't do anything anyways" this seems a poor excuse as all the other wash bays have running water... Maybe don't advertise a service you refuse to provide and maybe answer your phone's so I don't waste my time.

I didn't realize with the inflation of having to actually pay money to fill up your tires, the inflation of a public vacuum arose. I was shocked at the price. Needless to say, a handsome young man, offered to pay for the vacuum. Very kind. Thank you for making my frown, turn upside-down. I have gone a few times previously to wash my car since I moved close to the area a few months ago. My new location for car washes. ????

No hot water. No sign saying they didn’t have hot water. Asked for my money back due to the lack of hot water. They offered to give me half my money back (2 dollars) in a credit. Brutal.

I like the actual facility, but the woman working their is a real piece of work. She never took her ear buds out once when I was asking for assistance. When I asked her if she worked here she said, "clearly i do as you can see." Seriously!! Who says that and why is she still working??This normally is my go to car wash....but I will probably not return.

I've been a long time customer at Harpers recommended many people all my company vehicles are clean here. Recently I was in washing my wife's car I was giving it a quick hand wash with my own mitt and was told either I put money into wash or leave I was in shock considering I probably spend upwards of $7000 there a year washing company vehicles and personal vehicles. I shared this information with the attendant he informed me that he didn't care he just wanted to get me out and the next car in. While I understand it gets busy and the faster they move us out the more money they make I'm not looking to take any business away from them I just want to wash my car my way. So Harpers the three dollars you saved pushing me out the door before my car was done ends up costing you $7000 in my business and I'll be letting everybody I know how I was treated .

Small. Cramped. Expensive and the dividers are too small so the other customers spray your vehicle. I was constantly getting sprayed by the people in the bay beside me. The foam brush didn't seem to work at first so I tried to find help but it seems that it's not staffed because I couldn't find anyone to help. When I came back I was able to get the hose untwisted at the top after a bit of finagling but of course by then my time was up so I pumped in more money. The owner comments on their waxes being high quality but I wouldn't know because I didn't get that far. I only had $20 in change along and thought that would be enough. I've tried this place 4 or 5 times over the years and definitely stick with my recommendation that it's worth the drive to another car wash.

One of the better car wash in se Calgary. Not usually a long line. The bays are always clean and hoses are always washed down so your not getting grease all over you and your car. They offer a huge variety of products and also gift cards. Great car wash.

I would give 0 stars if I were able. I have never felt so ripped off by a coin operated DIY carwash in my life. The value per dollar is abysmal compared to similar places elsewhere in the city. Not only will I never return, but I will advise everyone I know to stay away. Absolute rip off.

No soap, no service, no refund. Soap seems to be an issue at this location. Advised attendant that there was very low soap coming from the spray. Almost to the point that it just looked like straight up water. Dial was set to Soap. Attendant says that there is lots of soap even after he sprayed for 30 seconds and next to none came out. After I said I would just go to another car wash he ran his mouth off. Attendant seemed more interested in getting back to his phone than dealing with an issue with their equipment not dispensing soap. Gave them another shot and low and behold the soap was non existent again. Better yet the customer service from the attendant was even worse than the last time . This has got to be the worst car wash in Southern Alberta.

This car wash has much better soap than the one down the hill and around the corner. Their creditcard pay is a little more complicated than it needs to be but works well once you figure it out. Only complaint is there's no large wash bays for larger vehicles.

Love this place. Come here every second week to clean my car. Usually when I get here there are barely any line ups. (I really dont understand why people are getting mad that they have to wait longer then what the sign says.... its an estimate) I have talked to the staff and they all seem really nice and helpful too. Never had any problems here.

It has very clean large bays , pressure was good, vacuum seemed short got only drivers area done for a buck but put in $2 and vacuumed really fast got rest of car done and suction is better than others I’ve been to by far for indoor ones. Spent $9 to vacuum ,wash n brush n wax car. Decent. Would recommend this place.
