So I bought my first vehicle ever here. It was 2008 Mitsubishi. They wouldn't offer any warranties so but i didnt have much room to choose or shop around so I took what I could get. I drove it off the lot and the gas tank was completely empty, the vehicle was extremely dirty even though I was promised both a full tank and cleaned vehicle. However I didn't mind as it was a working vehicle and I was happy. I had this vehicle 2.5 years and spent $6.7 grand in repairs outside normal maintenance. Today I drove to a shop owned by a friend and was shown first hand that there was BLACK SPRAY PAINT OVER LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD TO INFORM ME OF ENGINE FAILURE AND BRAKE PROBLEMS! This was intentionally done by the dealership to falsify a safety inspection! Now had I been allowed by them to do a pre purchase inspection, I probably could have seen this before by, however when I asked to have one done, I was told that was not possible. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! STAY AWAY FROM BUYING VEHICLES HERE!!!!!

I purchased my 2007 Rav4 from Famous Motors 1400 Regent Ave W, Winnipeg on July 19 2019. On first seeing the Rav4 I was concerned it was not in the shape I though it should be for me to buy. But talking to Syed (salesman)he promised it would be for pick up. I agreed to make an offer that was refundable if the conditions where not met to my liking. When I arrived on the 24th to take possession of the rav4, I was impressed to see the new tires that we had agreed to and they had shampooed the complete rav4. The rav4 had a fresh safety and all conditions that where fixed. The deal was done and I drove the rav4 of the lot to head home, this is when the engine light came on and I drove back with a lump in my throat. Syed told me that they would get it fixed and after a few attempts it was running great and I am happy with my purchase. Many Thanks to Famous Motor and (Salesman SYED). Customer Service is number one for this car dealer. And i will recommend this car dealer to friends and family. Happy to pass on good reviews.

Terribly fake and greedy, not trustworthy at all. Bought car from them, it had the check engine light on and a small oil leak that another shop had inspected for me. They cleared the codes for the check engine light and when I got the car, they said they "fixed them" but they did not. It still had the check engine light and codes. They just used an OBD scanner to clear the codes. I took it for an inspection at another shop and they determined there was an oil leak and they said that they fixed that as well but they did not. Do not buy from here they will do whatever it takes to sell the car, lying about every part they fix to cut corners. Bunch of liars and poor experience, car was safetied by their own mechanic and not by someone reputable.

I was interested in a Toyota Yaris that they had up for sale, but I was concerned that they were asking over $2000 over the value of the car and wanted to make an appointment to test drive the car. Syed would not discuss pricing and encouraged me to come down for a test drive then we could discuss the pricing. I live in St. James and it's an hour drive through the city to get there. I wasn't about to drive all the way there to find out that I was going to get a rebate on a warranty or some bs. I tried contacting them several times and no emails returned. I happened to be in that area working today and stopped in as his ad was still up for the Yaris. I explained that I had sent several emails about the Yaris and wanted to check it out. "oh, didn't I email you about that... It's sold." What? "well, there's a deposit on it, so it's as good as sold." No, you didn't send me an email. Clearly not interested in customer service. Don't waste your time with these jokers.

For the most part I am very happy with the service I recieved while buying my car. There were however a few things that I was not impressed with. After buying my car I decided to take it to my local mechanic to have them look over it and make sure there was nothing wrong. Unfortunately they found multiple things wrong with it costing over 800 in parts alone. They were surprised of how thick the oil was and that it was sold in the condition that it was. They also questioned if the vehicle had been saftied ( which I was told and shown it had been) as there were multiple things wrong that would have caused it to fail (fog lights, breaks, wipers, other lights) Their insurance package that they offer is alright but a bit expensive considering how easily it is to void the insurance ( ie missing an oil change, not contacting them before work being done on vehicle) Other then that I feel as though it was a good experience staff are friendly and help you find the best fit for you. I still recommend family and friends to check them out but caution them to fully inspecting everything before buying a car.

Overlook expensive repairs on vehicles to turn a profit.(this includes repairs needed to pass safety) If you have to have the vehicle, you may want to take it to a trusted mechanic for a second opinion, Otherwise you may want to just go elsewhere

They went beyond and opened up at after 7pm on a Sunday to answer my questions. Unfortunately the ad was miscoded (ad clearly said 2WD but was pushed to me-I needed a 4WD) so they didn't have the vehicle I was looking for... ... Was very interested in a vehicle here. Took it for my own pre purchase inspection. Big oil leak in the rear end, and several other issues found. Said it’s “seepage” or “sweating” lol! Yea oil doesn’t sweat out of an engine!! Mechanic said that unless it’s just a bolt to tighten they won’t fix it. Asked for a discount, offered 700. Wanted 1000. Won’t budge. With all it needs it could be so much more so I walked away. They don’t really care to sell good quality vehicles.
