Very clean airport.. the staff are super friendly and helpful. But, it is a very small airport..
Fabulous airport ????
Quick, efficient and courteous. That's all I ask for.
The view of the airplanes flying on top of your house is amazing especially if you have a house near it
Best airport ever. Get on your plane no fuss!
Small is good
I like this airport to fly as it’s quite and not busy to checkin and boarding process. It is very clean and most facilities are available here. definitely worth to travel from this local airport.
Airline flying: Easy parking, easy access, friendly staff and great facilities. Very clean. Porter airlines flies out of here as well with great service. General Aviation: Windsor Flying Club is a fantastic facility and they offer parking and fuel. Great community there as well.
Small int’l airport.
It's a nice small airport My understanding it is a local airport over international You connect to Toronto mainly Many people prefer to go Detroit MI international airport but that airport with crossing the border is headache . So it's your choice to use a local peaceful airport or to go to us for more airlines
I can't tell about the terminal. But it looks like a nice small regional airport. I was there because the company I work for's corporation bought an aircraft heavy maintenance facility on the airport property.
Me and my dad and mom has bad experience with the airport and one of the air Canada employee was disrespectful to us I'm not very happy.
Average airport, some renovations done. For a city of 250,000 I would a have expected something a little bit bigger. Few services other then the airlines, and rental companies. Very quick to go though security.
Peaceful flight with Air Canada ????????
Wow that was fast... but how could you take a long time in an airport that small?
(Translated) Excellent environment (Original) 环境优秀
30 min. Free Parking. Great!
Lots of planes. Planes were in the air. Planes were on the ground. No planes were on the ground from a crash, they all were on the ground because they landed, not crashed. The planes in the air were flying, some had just taken off, others were getting ready to land and be on the ground with the ground planes. Also, there was a line.
Good experience, fast service, nice staff.
As an airport should be though tiny
Small cute airport. People are very nice, however the ATM machine was not working and was sent from person to person to getting it fixed by putting cash in it, until finally security said it's an off site company that deals with it and will get to it when they get to it. Oh well. Other than that not bad. Oh and wish the restaurant was open right now.. make the wait go by faster. Overall it's good.
Windsor International Airport (YQG) is probably one of the smallest international airports I’ve visited, but despite the size it does pack a bit of a punch. To my surprise Air Canada, WestJet, Porter and Sunwing all offer flights from YQG. With its central location you’re just minutes from downtown Windsor and Detroit as well! Air Canada and Porter fly-in/out from Toronto which translates to a connection option for most wanting to land in the Windsor/Detroit area. But if you’re like me and fly from Calgary, then there’s a direct flight option offered seasonally by WestJet (currently starts in May and ends in October). This is an awesome option for getting to the area from Calgary as a connecting flight usually adds 3h+ and even costs more!! Sunwing is what makes YQG international, they offer seasonal flights to Cuba and Cancun. Cool option for locals! The airport layout is as simple as they come, it’s basically a long rectangle lol. The East end is basically your arrivals area with Gates 4 and 5, Gate 3 is on the west end but can also be used for arrivals. This is also where you will find the baggage carousel. Outside on the East end is the bus stop as well. The airline check-in counters, car rental and parking pay station are all around the middle area. Outside around the middle you’ll find the Taxi Stand. Finally on the western end is where you’ll find the previously mentioned Gate 3 along with Gates 1 & 2, which is essentially your departures area and passenger/baggage screening. This is where you would go to get to the post-security area. Outside on the western end is where you’ll find the limo stand. With just the one screening area I find it can take a bit to get through security once people start lining up, however the security personnel are friendly and professional. The rest of the staff at the airport seem friendly/polite as well. For food options there’s a café that is on an alternating schedule between the departures lounge and main concourse. On the lounge side there’s also a bar at the café. Outside in the pre-security area there’s a newer restaurant near Gate 4, I can’t comment on their offerings but the family we visited had a negative review. There’s also vending machines in both pre/post-security. It appears these carry healthier food options. A couple other things worth mentioning: free Wi-Fi, a definite must in today’s day and age, also free baggage carts. There is no shopping stores here. Probably the biggest disappointment at this airport is the parking; it’s only about 20% less than Calgary!!! First off no free short-term parking, but there is a Cell Phone Lot which basically accomplishes the same thing. The next closest thing is the Express Lot that charges hourly and then finally there’s the Daily Lot for longer term parking. For the Express Lot you’ll have to pay inside before leaving which is pretty inconvenient, the Daily Lot has its own pay station. All things considered YQG is very functional for its size, I’d say it actually over delivers with its international flight options. Beyond that you’ll find yourself connecting through Toronto to get here, unless you live in TO of course. BUT… if you’re in Calgary the seasonal direct flights are a HUGE plus! Free Wi-Fi: check, food availability: check, easy going security: check, friendly staff: check, parking: below expectation. YQG Solid bet if you need to get the Windsor/Detroit area!
Thanks to the guy in uniform who pointed out to us that parking was free for the first 30 minutes. We were standing at the kiosk, with ticket in the machine and about to pay our $3, when someone let us know about the 30 minutes grace. A convenient local airport.
Good access to Toronto
Free wifi. Very small airport is easy to navigate. Staff is sparse but friendly and accommodating with great customer service. Long term parking maxes out at $125/mo.
Small, but very professional and on-time.
Lovely airport with a bonus go kart track
long wait times
I loved it.
Always delays and no flight screen info past security
Its not a large airport, but the staff were nice and the facility was quite clean. All Covid procedures are in place and it feels quite safe. From what I saw only vending machines available. Not much to eat if you are hungry.
Flying here rules!!
Nice airport, but a little bit too small for an airport.
I am so glad the airport has reopened. Excellent staff. They are always helpful and friendly.
I was attended by a lady named Patrice I'm not sure how the name is spelled. She is small and curly hair. She is amazing . Very attentive, helpful . Thanks you
This is related to the car rental companies at the airport affected by bad airport management decisions. I normally drive to the airport, leave my car behind and rent a car for traveling on business in nearby cities. All was going well... The major panic started when I was told at the rental counter that airport security will give me a parking ticket for parking my car in the rental lot while picking up the rental car. There used to be some courtesy customer parking spaces. Now I am told that the airport management removed these customer parking spaces, and there is no courtesy parking location to leave my car there so I can pick up the rental. I must use the paid parking lot instead for doing business and on top of my daily rental rate I would have to pay a ridiculous daily parking rate for leaving my car behind which will add up to a significant amount if I rent the car for a few days. This is a DEAL BREAKER! This is not how business is done and car rental companies located at the airport will be impacted by these bad airport policies; well, at least I know now that I will start looking for other rental locations in the city where I don't have to pay parking. I use the car rental for conducting business where my employer fully reimburses me for my expenses, and it is my responsibility to be most conservative and cost effective in doing so. This time I went through extra trouble and time in scrambling last minute to have someone drive me and drop me off and parking my car at my driveway instead to save the parking fees, but lesson learned: in the future I will avoid the Windsor airport car rental companies location altogether.
Great airport to fly out of and into, E-Z Parking friendly people, easy drive from Detroit area. Highly recommend!
Great for a mid-sized airport.
DO NOT FLY OUT OF THIS AIRPORT!!!! Due to smallness in size, your flight is 100% guaranteed to be delayed. I narrowly missed my connection to London for a study abroad trip due to the small size of airport and the fact that they had ONE plane flying back and forth to Toronto. Now I’m flying home to Windsor from Toronto and my flight is *shocker* delayed. If you enjoy delayed flights and no solid information on when you’ll take off, this is the airport for you!!!
Got a private jet, we were getting ready to take off. But there was a flock of birds! 1,2, and 3 of the birds went into the propeller. We crashed but other than that the staff was lovely and offered to give me a bandage and neck massage!
restaraunt does not exist in this area. please remove the location
This airport is so modern, but small. I love it! Easy to find your flight! Very little people and no wait at all! Planes are bumpy and small but that has nothing to do with airport. I love it! Snacks are for sale, and you are guaranteed to never miss a flight. I normally use Detroit for flights but Windsor airport makes it so much easier and stress free to travel. Great prices too
Cash app $churchill9890
The efficiency of a large airport, without all the craziness and business.
OMG i hate this airline my whole family died because the plane crashed and yes i am dead too. I am writing this from heaven and this pleace is bad. THis is a threat. ThE FoOd Is GReAt thOuGh!
Small airports are perfect when you don't have any luggage to check-in.
Unfortunately I forgot a very expensive piece of clothing on a chair at the airport, came back one hour later and management was very rude. They were passing the ball around, turns out they seem to have a lost and found for no use because they threw away my stuff. Security guy said he put it in the trash like it was nothing. Talked to the manager there only to find out after a month waiting that they wouldn’t take responsability for that. My lawyer will be contacting them soon, not for the fact that it was expensive but for the fact that they threw away my stuff, acknowledged it and didn’t take responsibility for the issue.
Under staffed and overwhelmed by customers, such as myself, who've lost luggage (thanks Porter) and ask for assistance. Long term parking is disappointing: no zone markers and added charges once 10 minutes elapses after paying the fee inside the terminal. Can't recommend a return flight there.
Really small and comfy airport. You move along the line really quick!
Very quiet ,no lineups and easy to get to,was great to fly from here but a little more expensive.
Good services and helpful. It’s very small airport.
Tiny airport but so easy to navigate. You have to take your own bag over to the conveyor belt to be loaded. TSA is very simple go through and the agents were friendly. The lounge in Gate 1 was reasonably priced and the food was delicious. There are plenty of reasonably priced hotels nearby with a cheap taxi ride to the airport.
Small airport. Helpful staff. Clean
I prefer this airport to DTW.
The best airport I have flown from. Seriously good people. It is super relaxed which makes the experience NO stress. Small with virtually no waiting lines. The lady at the snack bar has a great personality and very friendly. Actually, all the people here do. I would highly eecommend flying from here over T.O. or D.T.W. They treat people like how it was back in the good old days... Like friends. And you actually feel welcomed.
A Quaint small airport that is easy to get around and even easier to make friends with the jolly people around you

Good
The staff at Great Lakes FBO are very friendly and helpful! One of their services is full-serve refueling of your aircraft. They also have clean bathrooms and vending machines.
It's the tiniest airport I have ever seen!
Quick and easy, like an airport should be
Needs more restaurants
A man threw up on my plane
Open your restaurant. People are miserable enough as it is having to try to breath through a mask and "social distance", at least let them eat/drink to find some sort of joy
This Airport Serves Windsor and Detroit, Staff is Friendly, The Airport Is right near The border Usa/Canada, This Airport is Sometimes Busy, Sometimes Overcrowded.
Simply One Of the Most Easiest International airports in the world to get through and I always go to Alberta to see family so in the summer I always fly WestJet Direct Calgary
Excellent location, excellent parking very close to the entrance, check-in and check-out are very easy and quick
Very clean and staff was pleasant.
Yup, this is where the airplanes come from
Air Canada gate agent wouldn’t even talk to me, and when I went and stood in the priority line didn’t believe I had any frequent flyer status. Pretty sure it was age discrimination, but whatever, I’m used to it. Delayed my flight so that I missed my next one and wouldn’t rebook me. Airport is pretty dated. Security was fast.

Airport was clean, quiet, and friendly staff. The place was cozy and easy check in and out. Parking isn't expensive at all. Would be great if they have charging stations.

Pretty standard little airport. Handy to have in this city.
Very welcoming!
Good app
I fly for my work, so I take several flights a year. The flights are usually on time and the staff are friendly. On the off chance that your flight is cancelled or delayed, they are extremely helpful in rebooking your flights to get you where you're going. Though it's a very small airport, with little to no seating outside of the security zone. So if you're picking someone up, be prepared to stand around. Also the parking is a bit pricey and the bistro is almost never open. Overall, it's an airport... they can't always control the three different airlines that operate out of it.
Very friendly local airport, but took surprisingly long ti check in. Once you go through security, there were only vending machines to get a drink as the cafe was closed.
Some of the photos are not of Windsor Airport and should be deleted.
nice ever seen
Clean, efficient, and the staff were all lovely ! I love flying into Windsor Airport !
Had to wait over one hour just to get tickets. But the staff are friendly and there is ample room.
Really small airport but everything is simplified
Really small and no locker to save your luggage over night.
Fast check-in and security. No water fountain after security but plenty of vending machines with bottled water. Is the water not safe to drink or something?
Checking in wasn't that bad but at the gate was frustrating...????
Really small and no restaurants or any other shops or services (only car rental places it seems). Quick to get through security and to your gate.
Flights often delayed
My sister was suppose to flight out at 2pm. Got there at 11am say goodbye and left. She calls at 830 pm to pick her up.. they didn't fly because they were short staffed. They should be more organized..
Awesome airport. ATC is great and the airport is easy to navigate.
love planes
Nice little airport
Nice airport in a nice city. Welcome to Windsor.
Nice drop in to take a dump ????????
Went through Gateway FBO excellent service nice airport
I mean, the airport in Detroit is better.
Let us call it “bus station” works better ????
Lots of planes. Planes were in the air. Planes were on the ground. No planes were on the ground from a crash, they all were on the ground because they landed, not crashed. The planes in the air were flying, some had just taken off, others were getting ready to land and be on the ground with the ground planes. Also, there was a line.
I parked my car at the far end out front away from others to run in and ask a question about parking because I had never been there before and within two minutes had a security guard yelling at me that a tow truck was on it's way. Drove around to the cell phone lot area which had one other car in it where the sign read to remain in your car or you will be ticketed or towed. Welcome to Windsor.
(Translated) Small but comfortable (Original) Pequeño pero comodo
This airport is relatively small. It is not hard to find your way to your gate. The staff there are very friendly and helpful.
Staff at the counter was courteous but when you get to the flight boarding staff is very rude, either there way or they start threatening you can't board the flight. Hand bag even though have been with in size and had medicine he won't let you take in the flight and start threatening to go back in the airport if you try to explain. It was a nightmare. Not enough we are leaving 15 hrs later . They definitely need customer service class. Absolutely no respect it was a power abuse absolutely.
Decent air port. Staff are good. Quick in and out when flying
Very clean, and comfortable but the only airport I have ever been that doesn't carry energy drinks. Also, the boarding room snack bar closed at 10am...
The Airport is also known by its airport code, YQG. This is a small airport, has a few filights and a couple of car rental kiosks. Conveniently located in Windsor. Hourly parking is across from the entry and exit and the first 30 minutes is free. The parking lot has a free cell phone / waiting area.
great little airport, i arrived into this airport not departed from, so cannot comment on screening or checkin. baggage arrived quickly and washrooms are clean.
Good.
I give it 5 stars Being disabled the service there was excellent . They had wheel chairs ready right at the plane entrance for me I could not ask for better service. Going to a big airport like Toronto or Detroit Metro is much too far to walk. I would take Windsor every time. A big thank you to all who helped me.
great lounges and service
Excellent Service, Convenient, Friendly Staff. Easy and Very Enjoyable Travel Experiance.Thank You !
I forgot my cat there two months ago. Still there?
You will not get lost! It is pretty small, would be great to have a few more snack/drink places
I have been trying to call to talk to a person about parking and I get the run around the phone at every department. Is anybody there???
Good experience
Terminal should be widened. It is too narrow especially when checking in on Westjet flights. Other than that it seems okay.
They have planes here
If I can help it, after Windsor I will never use Detroit Metro again, unless I "can't get there", wherever that may be by starting from Windsor. I absolutely love it.

Airport officials and Security extremely helpful..Air Canada people very helpful and extremely courteous with 3 hour flight delay...well done!
