After shopping for a car for a couple of weeks with a pretty good idea of what we wanted we kept having salesman trying to sell us something different and way outside of budget everytime. This was until we stepped in White Rock VW. We were helped by Moe there who is outstanding at what he does. Got a promotional letter from Whiterock VW offering me above market value on my current vehicle as well as up to $4250 off on a new purchase. I have previously worked out some numbers with another dealership closer to home. Now seeing this letter I decided to contact them. Since I don't live out that way, I specifically said unless this deal is true I don't want to go out there. Obviously it was too good to be, as I was later contacted via TEXT MESSAGE, not even a courtesy phone call, that "they have a good relationship with the other dealership and do not want to beat their offer". As a consumer of course I am looking to save money on a big purchase. If you cannot honour your promotions why bother toying with customers and their emotions. They are simply 1) unable to honour the promotion they are offering and 2) using the relationship with another dealership as an excuse to get out of their mess. Why not try to establish a relationship with (new) customers by trying to win them over? Needless to say I am thoroughly disappointed and will share this experience with friends and family.

Lindsay Smith was my sales rep. She was excellent re: attitude, and had good information on any question i had. She was not pushy in the least, but then again, I was sold on the vehicle after researching it myself, and seeing it in the lot, before a circuitous revealing test drive. I picked up my 2017 Tiguan R-Line Sport last week, and it was spotless. The vehicle did have a chip in the windshield, but they had replaced the entire windshield. I have had the vehicle on the road for only 2 days, and have received lots of compliments, and it's faun great looking vehicle. It's shorter, and has less cargo space than the new Tiguan, but this compact SUV fits better in our garage. One thing of note, is that one of the two remotes that came with the vehicle has to have the battery replaced in the remote, (vehicle display says, "REPLACE KEY BATTERY", so I just contacted the dealership, and the clerk directed me to someone named Caitlin, who then advised that I had to bring the vehicle in for a diagnostic, but when I said that I'll just buy a battery she advised that they are $13, and parts would change the battery for me. That seems like a decent offer. Considering the pressure of the finance people to get me to buy extra warranty coverage, and the lowball offer for my tradein, then this could be a costly relationship, so buyer be aware. But the sales staff, finance personnel, and the vehicle are awesome, and that's what counts most.

Been planning on getting a new Golf for a few weeks now after hearing the model is leaving North America and my 2010 Jetta getting a bit cranky. Previously had an “ok” experience with this dealership years back, about 6 years ago. Long story short, their shuttle service wasn’t great. But, I was in the neighbourhood and was curious to see if the new management style changed anything. Boy was I happy I stopped by. Immediately went to the lot and was kindly greeted by Mo who saw me browsing Golfs. He immediately knew what I was looking for and we clicked immediately. Friendly, precise, confident service. I was picking a colour and confirming details with Rob the sales manager within 20 minutes after a quick test drive. One day later, deposit paid and insurance done I’m leaving with a new Golf highline right within budget. All on a “hunch.” Great service, reasonable pricing against the rest of the market, unbeatable warranty and get this: free car washes for life! Talk to Rob at this dealership. I can tell they’re motivated to get you the right price with top service while letting you feel like you’re making your own decision. Class act and a huge turnaround for this dealership.

Awesome experience the 2 times I've gotten service at White Rock VW! I think the biggest thing is that I don't own a VW, I currently have a BMW. I had gotten tired of the massive bills the BMW dealership charged me, their service was pretty good but it seemed more money than it was worth. I called to get a quote on winter tires initially, which was about half of what the BMW dealership quoted me so I tried them out and it was great. Fantastic service, gave me a ride around and detailed my call just for tires and the price was exactly as quoted, around half of what I thought was normal! I've gotten service there a second time with equal service and again a better price! Well done to the service team, you've got a customer for life!

Every time I have dropped off my 2019 vehicle it has been returned to me with additional problems as well as attitude from staff. What started as a simple AC repair has lead to months without my vehicle and months of incompetence from their child-like staff.

Recently had the pleasure of buying a vehicle at Whiterock VW, we had been to several dealerships and when we got to WR-VW we instantly noticed the difference. The salesman (Rob Smith) who I had spoken to on the phone was out, but immediately another salesman (Zach Ralph) jumped into his place and proceeded to show us 3 vehicles all the while asking qualifying questions and leading us to what would best suit our needs and budget. He stayed with us past closing time doing 3 long test drives, and then when we had decided on a car, we went and dealt with Rob who had returned and had all the paperwork started already. (Salesmen on commission who actually work as a team). The deal was fairly easy, they all stayed late to make it happen, and everyone we dealt with at this dealership was friendly and outgoing. I am in sales and I can assure you these folks are top notch, they care about your needs and genuinely want to see you happy. When we went to pick up the car Rob spent about 30 mins walking my wife through every feature of the beautifully detailed car, set up her bluetooth and answered all her questions. I have bought a lot of cars in my time and this is by far the nicest group of people I have ever dealt with. Kudos to their Manager he is clearly encouraging a high level of customer service and fostering a team environment! (BTW I rarely post reviews only really really bad service or as in this case exceptional).

I purchased a 2018 Q7 in November plus a set of winter tires. Included in the sale was tire storage for as long as I had the vehicle and car washes. I called over a month ago to get the tires changed back to the summer ones and they could not find them. They told me the second set of tires were in the vehicle when I received it, which was incorrect. I then called them each week and Neil told me twice he would get back to me the next day and did not. Last week, they did decide to supply me with a new set of tires and told me that they would not honour tire storage and that the person that washed the cars quit and that my car would not be washed.

My wife and I are no strangers to car dealerships, as we have purchased several vehicles throughout the years. As our second vehicle -purchased privately and lasted the longest...is getting up there in age and mileage, we decided to venture out to our neighborhood White Rock VW. Having had some negative experiences over the years with the majority of dealerships we dealt with, we were still cautiously optimistic. We were greeted by Rob Smith, who allowed us time to look at a few vehicles, answered several of our questions and sent us off to a couple test drives, hassle and pressure free. Once we decided on a beautiful blue Certified Preowned Golf Sportwagen, Rob walked us through some of our finance options that were simple and clear. Since it was Saturday, we left a deposit and decided to pick up the car a couple of days later, once they dealt with a couple minor cosmetic issues and detailed the vehicle. As soon as we arrived, Rob walked us right to our new car and started explaining how everything worked, including all the features of the infotainment system. Next was our meeting with the finance rep Gurpreet Basi, to go over and sign the paperwork. This is the part which I usually dread the most, as it is often a lengthy back and forth, emotionally draining experience. I was pleasantly surprised on how seamless the whole process was. Gurpreet was very thorough and did an amazing job explaining every little detail. All though we opted out of any additional warranty, Gurpreet was a true professional and walked us through all our options. After a quick meeting with a very pleasant insurance rep, we were on our way. It was so refreshing to have such a pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle. Rob got me to test drive a couple cars, but in the end I chose an authorized used model. It had amazing features and was great value for my money. He openly told me that he thought the used model I was choosing was better value for my money compared to the brand new models. Rob could've easily upsold me into models that were roughly $6,000 more than what I paid, but he remained honest and genuine the whole time. He took the time to make sure that my car had been properly detailed. sat down with me to make sure that I had my bluetooth all set up and taught me how to use some of the basic features of the vehicle. He ensured I was comfortable before I drove off the lot. Unfortunately, 9 days later, I got hit by a semi truck. The entire ordeal was very overwhelming and there was a delay getting my car moved to the mechanic, so they couldn't issue me a loaner car. I was strapped for a car and Rob worked with his team to go above and beyond to get me a loaner car until the weekend. After working in the customer service industry for over a decade, it is so amazing to see people take care of you, the same way you take care of people. This team is genuine and treats you more like family than a customer. I can't praise this place enough and I am recommending White Rock VW to all my family and friends. Thanks again!!

After several personel changes in the parts department front desk (2015-2016) the situation stabilized with excellent front line staff currently (2017). Parts Dept. manager has always been extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and is a VW enthusiast. Service department is excellent but, they are what one would expect in a dealership service department. Prices are higher than other places that offer automotive service and repairs. However, if you insist on genuine VW parts, and certified VW automotive technicians, you can't go wrong here. (2017). I have not interacted with sales department personally. However, I am aware of other people who have, and have found them to have offered a satisfactory experience. (2010). Over all a positive experience, so far. 4 out of 5 stars for the only CON: expected higher pricing, than other options. (2017). I will update the review as needed to better reflect any changes in this rating.

I have to say I am very disappointed. Doesn't worth booking an appointment as they do not honour their time frames. I had appointment for repairs on Tuesday 12:00pm. Until 2pm they didn't got my vehicle in as they were busy. Then I was told that they will take it in later that evening so I had to leave it there. Around 4pm they called and told me that they had a look at it but they will look further into the issue the next day (Wednesday) and that someone will call me the next morning. No-one did, I called them though early that morning to express some of my suggestions/concerns. They said we will look at it and try to find a solution. I called them around 4pm that day. What they said was that they didn't look at it as I did not have appointment. -That was it obviously, these people don't know what they are talking about. It seems that they are to busy to pay attention and honour what they say. Also I've noticed that they where not paying attention to what I told them either. I had to mention 5 times in total, to 3 different people what's the issues in order to be written down properly. Finally they did a small job (fixed one of the issues) but without taking permeation first. So for replacing 2 fog light bulbs basically I paid $80 (I could replace them my self If I had the diagnosis result) plus an other $70 for giving it that quick look the first day = $150. Anyway, the time management part was the most triggering. At least they are polite and cleaned nicely the car as well. No-one called me to apologize about the situation of-course. 2 Days later, the lightindicator for burned light bulb was on again. So not even that was fixed. Useless.

I don’t want to think what would have happened if I didn’t have extended. That and they wouldn’t negotiate on the base price even through the car was rough. I should have walked away. After reading online reviews of other VW dealerships, including one that is closer to where I live, I chose White Rock VW because of the great reviews, and am pleased to add my own review to the list. Hands down, these guys are the best! There were no high-pressure sales tactics or misleading promises (which I was dreading), and the place has a great "vibe" - everyone worked well with each other, and they were all genuine, friendly, and helpful. Tony Smith was my sales consultant, and he asked me some questions about my needs and wants for a vehicle, including my budget, and took me straight to the car I was looking at. He took the time to show me all of the features, and when I picked up my new car, he had bookmarked little tabs in the manuals to help me navigate my way through the workings and features of my car. He linked up my bluetooth to my iPhone for me, and he even had my old licence plates cleaned up before they were put on my new car - a small touch, but one of many small touches that made for a great buying experience. The same goes for Sheldon Lloydsmith, who went above and beyond in his commitment. He was always available for my (many) questions, and he did everything with a smile on his face, even when it hurt to smile (Sheldon was healing from some obvious injuries at the time of my purchase, but didn't let them stop him from providing cheerful, excellent service). I've seen some good comments on here about Rob Ferguson, the sales manager, and have to echo those as well. His knowledge and integrity are immediately evident, and he really took the time to ensure that I understood everything about the purchase. I'm already recommending White Rock VW to my friends, and if you're in the market for a new car, I suggest you try White Rock VW before you go anywhere else. I strongly recommend these guys. Best car buying experience ever!!

I rarely write reviews but I wanted to share my experience with VW White Rock. I have bought my car there in 2016 and the staff was great and friendly until the moment I purchased it. When I took my car for service, the service person (Gavin) always treated me with an attitude. After you spend so much money on a car, you would at least expect a certain level of friendliness and respect. The other service guy, however, I do not recall his name unfortunately, has always gone above and beyond to make us happy with the service but I was not lucky to deal with him all the time. Last week we went in to the dealership to see if we could sell my car to them as we decided to move out of the country. The salesman and the person who did the appraisal said that my car was in a great condition and they will have no problem selling it, but they totally low balled the value of it. I understand that the dealership needs to make money, but I also felt being taken advantage of as I am in a rush to sell it. Absolutely love my car, but not happy how I was treated.

Wow, what an incredible experience we had dealing with White Rock VW, and specifically Moe! They are a smaller dealer, so you get a much more personalized and better service all around. We both sold a Tiguan and bought a Touareg from Moe. I just picked up my 2019 Jetta this morning and can't say enough good things about my experience at Whiterock VW. Let me first start by saying that I live in Langley so when I first started looking for a new car it made sense that i would go to the Langley VW location. My Mom and I received the worst service at the Langley dealership and none of the salesman there seemed to even care that we were there. We walked around the lot for about 15 mins and it wasnt until we went into the show room that a guy stood up from behind his desk. They were very cold to us and I said to my Mom that if I was going to buy a VW I WOULD NOT buy from the Langley dealership. My Mom quickly googled on her phone if there was another vw nearby and that one was in white rock. So we went there. We were quickly greeted by Zach who was amazing through our entire buying experience. He is super nice and extremely knowledgeable about VW having driven many different ones over the years. He discussed all my options and the different features in full detail with us, he took us for a realistic test drive which was great and by the end of the week I was a VW owner. I knew by the way we were treated the second we stepped in the door at whiterock VW that I wanted to buy my new car from them. I wish that I could title this review "Go see Zach at Whiterock VW" but I don't know if Google gives me that option. First I've been a customer for VW for more than 10 years. I had leased previously from other dealerships over the past 10 years 3 passats, all were great cars. This year I decided to get the new Atlas, I drove it and loved it and decided to go forward. After two weeks from having the car we noticed oil spots on the garage floor, took to the dealership they did initial inspection discovered that it was leaking oil. They gave us appointment after 10 days from back and forth fights that they should give our car priority, as they sold us a bad lemon. Car was fixed, then a week later I start hearing a noise coming from the car, had to go back to the service centre which was the third in almost few weeks. The problem no one gets that we were frustrated just saying it's not our problem you got a defected car!!!! If so, then who's to blame ? To blame ourselves and our luck to get to deal with you guys. So the appointment was supposed to be one hour it took them four hours to fix it, and I had mentioned a million times I need to get my car earlier than 1:30pm so I could pick up my special need son. The service guy called me at 12:30pm to be ready because the shuttle would pick me up in few minutes. My home is literally 4 minutes away in a car ride. I waited for 45 minutes and I had a huge disappointment with the customer service, when they told me that the service guy is one phone wait till he's done. Then I said I can't ! I need to get my car and pick up my son with a loud, firm voice from frustration. The lady instead of apologizing said don't yell at me this is not my fault!!!! I am a frustrated customer who got a new car to save herself the hassle and extra unnecessary stress... I think you guys all need customer service training , where you don't take things personally and understand you're here to absorb the frustration of a customer who was beyond patient with all the trouble you added to his/her life...The only mistake we made was to choose this dealership.

Each time we have had our car in for service we have had extremely negative experiences. They don’t follow up with you, don’t call you back and are very rude and have little to no people skills. We have gotten the run around more than once. If I would have known upfront how horrible this department is I would have never purchased my vehicle from this specific location. The salesperson Tony Smith was fine, he was actually very helpful. The ones I had issue with were the General Manager Rob Ferguson and Financial Service specialist David Johnson. David quoted a lower price over the phone which i wrote down. When I went to see him he bumped the price by $200-$300. Didn't realise this till I went home to check the figures etc. David is a very narcissistic person who likes to brag about himself which put a bad taste in my mouth. This is supposed to a reputable car dealership not a sleazy second hand dealership. When we wanted to point this error out the general manager had no plans to amend anything and just send us back our deposit. I was fine not going through with the sale with it being so dishonest and dodgy. Tony saved the sale by calling us back to apologise and fixing the price. The car itself has been great but I would never buy from here ever again.

I brought my car in after a rear rim and tire sustained minor damage, as I had purchased protection insurance, I was told no problem, we’ll replace the rim. I was then told by the service technician that they were unable to put a new rim on a damaged tire. After weeks of delays, price misquotes (price for a new tire went from $200 to $450) and attempts at up selling (encouraging me to buy 4 winter tires at for the low low price of $2400) I finally told the service centre to put the damaged rim back on the damaged tire and that I would take my car elsewhere. Low and behold magically they were now able to put a new rim on a damaged tire. In addition to this, I received a call from the dealership just last week telling me how they had an unnamed (and likely imaginary) customer who was interested in purchasing a pre owned version of my car and were wondering if I would interested in purchasing yet another car from them. This after I received no response from either VW or the dealership after filing a complaint related to the first debacle. I tell anyone and everyone who will listen to avoid this dealership, practices such as outright lying to a customer and continued attempts at up-selling should not be rewarded

I recently purchased a CPO 2019 Tiguan at White Rock VW. Lindsay Smith, my sales rep, was very patient, informative and professional throughout. I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase new or a CPO. Lindsay took the time going over several vehicles and test drives with me. Pricing was very reasonable and after visiting Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi and Subaru, White Rock VW offered me the best value on my trade-in. When I made the decision to purchase, Lindsay was very reasonable while negotiating the sale price and trade-in value and paid attention to detail when explaining applicable fees associated to the purchase. Days after purchasing the vehicle I noticed a discrepancy in the Bill of Sale. Lindsay was great at organizing for me to come in and review with Finance. There was in fact an overcharge which they quickly rectified and apologized for the oversight. Overall, the service at White Rock VW was one of the best I've experienced in purchasing a vehicle. Great communication, professional and friendly. This is my second VW and won't be my last!

I told them i can come back on Saturday to pick it up but they insisted that they wanted to see me drive it home that night. Everyone stayed late just to detail my car and have it all ready for me.I will NEVER be going to another dealership after that experience. They don't treat you like customers or "commission" they treat you like family.

From start to finish, my experience with White Rock VW was fantastic. I initially dealt with Graig Johnston, who was extremely friendly and helpful in getting information and videos to me of prospective vehicles I was interested in. I then dealt with Rob Smith who made the testing and purchasing aspect of my experience seamless and stress free. He was extremely patient as was happy to answer any questions I had. He also made sure I knew I could contact him at any time with questions after purchasing my Tiguan, which was so greatly appreciated. Had an awesome time with Bryan, Rob and Graig. I took my time to decide on my Tiguan and never felt like I was being pushed or forced. Pricing is also excellent, which surprised me, as I’d expect a dealership all by itself in White Rock has bigger bills to pay. Having been a very satisfied Mazda 3 owner for years, I was on the market to upgrade to a 2015 model. After looking around at a couple different dealerships and numerous test drives, I wasn’t as blown away as I had anticipated. My husband insisted we pay a visit to White Rock Volkswagen to test drive a newer Jetta. After great hesitation I agreed – and boy am I sure glad I did! As soon as we walked through the doors we were greeted by the manager of the dealership, Scott Ryall. After working with us to identify our needs, he set us up with Rob Smith. Rob’s mannerism, knowledge and friendly personality made the entire car buying experience very enjoyable (something I was initially dreading!). He worked hard to obtain the best deal for me, working with the budget I had set and didn’t pull any of the pushy salesman tactics I was preparing myself for. Now having driven the car for a couple months, I truly am in love with the sleek design, interior features and fuel economy! I highly recommend Rob’s services and would not hesitate to do business here again. The entire team at White Rock Volkswagen are great!

If I were to deal with a Salesperson again @WRock VW, I wouldn't deal with anyone except for Graig. It was a pleasure. It also was great dealing with Gurpreet in Finance. The only advice I have for anyone going to purchase a vehicle from any dealer is to get the full breakdown of all costs/fees before moving forward. Preventative measure for sticker shock ????

I have always been a VW customer and only ever owned VW. I use to be a loyal customer and fulfill all my servicing at WR VW however over the past two years I decided to step away and get my service elsewhere. I began to feel like their servicing tier was just a money grab and overly priced for minimal work. I also began to see a pattern of bad customer service from one individual at the service desk. Unfortunately I had to return to WR VW to have a recall serviced and the unfortunate encounter of Mr. Gavin Bird again. When I was checking in my car he asked me if I was still working? In the midst of a word pandemic where hundreds of thousands workers have been laid off I find it extremely unprofessional and rude to ask me if I am working. It is none of his business, nor a conversation topic. I'm surprised that Mr. Bird is still working. There seemed to be a lot of people around the dealership with their hands in their pockets. Gavin called me hours later and left a message notifying me my car was ready. I called back to say I would be down shortly and the lady that answered informed me Gavin was on lunch. I called back again and asked the receptionist to please ask service to check my tire pressure for me. She assured me they would and took down my name and number. When I arrived there was a customer dropping off her car for service and another gentleman waiting to speak to Gavin in front of me. The gentleman and I waited for what felt some time. Once the lady left Gavin continued to process the lady's paperwork and asked the gentleman and I to wait longer while he walked outside to check in her odometer reading. I felt as though Gavin could of easily helped the gentleman and myself before making us wait longer to do non urgent paperwork. A good 15 minutes later finally I get to the service desk. Gavin says to me "you are hard to get ahold of"!! Excuse me?? I find this comment so rude. Why am I hard to get ahold of because you called and left a message? Mr. Bird has no idea what I do when I leave VW, I have a busy life and I am not sitting around waiting for his call. Furthermore he says "oh a lady called with your name asking for her tire pressure to be checked any chance that was you?" Of course it was me. I told the receptionist exactly who I am. I am certain there is nobody else in VW at this moment with the exact name. So the fact that clearly my request wasn't fulfilled is even more frustrating. Mr. Bird then did come out and check my pressure himself. I did not receive any paperwork showing my recall service was complete. Lastly I have always enjoyed the car wash service VW provides however I feel as though if you are offering a service it would be nice to have it completed 100%. They never washed my rear mats, nor truly vacuumed. I will never return to WR VW and if I ever have to take my car to a VW dealership I will source out another one. I do not want to be subjected to Gavin's poor customer service!!!

From the time we arrived on the lot, we had an employee smile at us and ask us how he could be of service. When we met with the sales manager, Rob Ferguson, he guided us through the process with ease and made sure we were comfortable and understood each step and decision that we were making. We never felt like we were just "waiting around" - they made sure that we were being helped the entire time we were there, even on a busy weekend. However, after the interaction I had with Bailey at White Rock VW, I can whole-heartedly say that I was taken aback by how pleasant of an experience I had.
