Yesterday I had the pleasure of buying a new-to-me car with BCS Auto Sales in Vancouver. I called in the morning and spoke to Peter the Sales Associate who was very courteous and helpful on the phone and said he’d be ready for me to come in for a test drive in the afternoon. Peter was waiting there for me and let me look all around the car and answered any questions I had. Then we went for a test drive and I was able to see if the car would be a good fit for me. He also showed me all the bells and whistles and was happy to answer any questions. I did not feel pressured to buy but I was very excited to do so and he brought me to the office to start the paperwork. Next I met with Andrew the Business Manager who was very kind and patient and explained the financing and gave me options so I could decide what was best for me. He took his time and helped me understand everything. Shawn was the General Sales Manager and he welcomed me to the lot and made sure I had everything I needed. This was only my second time buying a car and the team at BCS put me at ease and helped me get my dream car. Definitely worth the drive from the Tri-Cities!

This place is awesome. Everyone we met there was both professional and friendly. John, the salesman, was genuine and didn’t put any pressure on us. He showed us many vehicles and kept our budget in mind. He took us out for a couple of test drives and made some great recommendations based on our expected use of the vehicle. Tim, the finance guy, was also great. He definitely knows what he’s doing and was’t satisfied until we were happy with the payment plan. Much like the service, the car we ended up going with is also awesome. These guys have been in business for a long time and there is good reason for that. I’d recommend them to everyone.

The overall experience was great. I booked a visit with Dave on October 27 because 2 of my colleagues at work recommended Budget Car Sales. Upon arrival he was very friendly and knowledgeable of the options that are suitable for us. What my partner and I liked about him is that he is not a pushy salesperson. We ended up buying a Chevrolet Sonic and we like the car a lot! Once we got home and realized that one of the heating seats wasn't working, Dave and Tai helped us arrange the repair and a courtesy car for during the repair in a timely fashion. Aaron was great at explaining the complicated insurance details and it was a pleasure overall.

Our experience while looking for a car here was alright. Everyone was pleasant. However we were looking at a 2016 ford edge and the sunroof just would not close. It was enough to be a deal breaker. I already had my opinions on ford vehicles, so we walked away from the deal. I will like to say that s Sheldon in the finance department was a breath of fresh air. Honest, and quite informative. He stayed past closing just to explain our finance rates had we gone through with it, even though he had to be elsewhere after work. Very dedicated to providing customers the best care :)

Unfortunately, the sales team (3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE) would not take NO for an answer. This was NOT a courtesy follow up as that would just be one phone call. We told them we were just looking and not ready to buy at this point. Even though we were very clear, I've received 8 TEXT MESSAGES (to which I responded that we were not interested) along with multiple phone calls, voice mails and an email. They went out of line by finding my Fiance's work place number (without us even providing it to them) and called his work to ask if he is interested in this one car we looked at together. Again, he was very clear by saying NO, we are not. Then, the next day, I get an email asking if I have any questions and if I'm interested. We are feeling that we are being harassed. We will not be going back. Although I have purchased my first car from here and it was a great experience 10 years ago, they will not leave you alone if you say NO to buying. Be aware.

This is the fourth purchase for my wife and I at Budget. We keep coming back because the sales team are helpful and not pushy at all. They listen and try to help you get the right car to fit all of your needs. Greg Ginter spent a lot of time with us showing us several cars being very patient with our decision making process. The negotiation over price was fair and handled in a very professional manor. Sheldon in the business office also went a very long way to put us at ease. All in all the car purchasing experience can be a very intimidating and anxious one. The entire team at Budget go out of their way to make it as stress free and pleasant experience as possible.

We had a fantastic experience with Budget car sales! We visited a couple of other car dealerships prior to Budget , one of them felt like a stereotypical car sales place, you walk in the door and they are like vultures swarming their next prey. We had seen the car we wanted on the Budget car sales website so we texted ahead and when we got there, we were met outside by Kip. He was really friendly but professional and not at all pushy. We also dealt with Nicole, Tim and Sheldon. They were all very nice and made sure we got the best deal and left happy with our new vehicle, which we were! If You are looking for a Decent car with in your budget, this is the place to go in Vancouver. For last few days i am looking for a car with in my budget. Most of those dealerships out there are super pushy... They want me to buy what ever they show.... The Good part I find here at "Budget Car sales" is they have unique process. 1. They will ask you very good questions like model, brand, expectation on the features, price flexibility etc., 2. Make you aware which cars will satisfy all your needs. 3. They will show you all the cars available. 4. They will let you drive all the cars that suits you. 5. They will explain pros and cons of each car from their own expertise and experience. I was recommended by a friend and colleague to check out this dealership as I was looking at getting a truck. I was driving a Sportscar and it was time to give it up for a more suitable vehicle to transport my family kids. Well unfortunately my credit score wasn't so great but Jason, Tim and the guys came together and rescued me. Sure I wanted a truck but I also want a good future and these guys care and are putting me on the right track to do so. Unfortunately I can't recommend this store to anyone. The first contact is really friendly and helpful but then it get's worse. The variety of cars is good but prices are high. The way they treat customer changes from friendly to pushy and if you don't buy from them they might even get offensive. I will never go back there. - - - - - - - - After reading more recent reviews it seems that the store has really got it's act together. Maybe now they do have the car ready when promised and no not lie to customers anymore. I just wonder why so many of those reviewers have written only one review and have no other activity at all... :)

This review is in response to my partner Begum's review below. Shawn, I found your response our previous review to be pretty insulting. You replied that you were just giving us a courtesy call as a "simple follow up". That's great, but when your team proceeds to contact us nine times after being told we weren't interested you have passed the point of a "simple follow up". Additionally you then proceeded to try and contact me at my place of business without me ever giving you that number. Again, that is not "a simple follow up" , and frankly it's inappropriate.

I had a great experience purchasing my 2018 Honda Accord. The whole process was quick and i was handed over the car keys within an hour which was impressive. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is due to the insurance lady who is worst at her job and tried to get us a third party insurance add on which was going to cost us 50$ every month on top of the insurance and when I denied she got pretty frustrated and told me that the bank was going to decline my loan application if I didn’t said yes to the add on. Totally ruined my mood. I ended up winning the argument saying she needs to show me on a website if it’s a mandatory thing which according to her due to covid19 banks made it mandatory for everyone to purchased the the add on insurance.

Came to take a look at a couple cars I was interested in and drove home in a 2015 Nissan Versa Note. Seamless experience in one go - test drive, financing and insurance. You get 30 days to return the car if something is not right. I took it in for a full check up at Nissan dealership and their report matched Budget's inspection sheet one for one. Have had the car for half a year now and it's still 5 stars for Budget and for Nissan.

From the moment I stepped into the Sales office at Budget Car Sales, I was treated like a member of the family, and never once felt pressured or uncomfortable with being in the care of these excellent individuals. Shawn Jamieson, the General Sales manager greeted me as I was referred to him by a colleague I trusted very much, and he had nothing but amazing things to say about his experience. Shawn is a warm and friendly man, who's kind and relaxed manner put me at ease immediately. He directed me to the car lot to begin to have a look at their vehicles, of which there is a truly excellent selection, and regardless of my preference I think I could have found the vehicle for me...which I did. Two, actually! Shawn introduced me to Brad Eyben, who like Shawn, was a very friendly and professional individual who allowed me the time to express my desires and preferences for a vehicle, and guided me around to the vehicles which suited those criteria. I ended up being torn between a Jeep Compass, and a Nissan Sentra. Brad had me test drive both vehicles, and when I could not make up my mind as to which one I truly wanted...he encouraged me to sleep on it and come back the next day when I had a clearer idea of which vehicle to purchase!!! I have never had such an amazingly comfortable and stress-free interaction at a car dealership before, and I would encourage everyone who reads this review to give the good people at Budget Used Car Sales a chance to astound them with their service, professionalism, and excellent selection of cars. The next day I had a friend staying over and was running late, and they sent Raveen Prakash to pick me up as transit would have delayed me, and Raveen was just the best guy to speak with...and you know when the service guys at a car dealership are positive and complimentary about their place of work, that it must be true. I went with the Nissan Sentra, and after Brad went through all of the incredibly detailed documentation on the vehicle that showed me precisely what I was getting, I was put with Tai Do, the finance person. Tai was also amazing, and ensure that he knew exactly what my financial desires and situation was, and worked diligently to get me the best deal and the best loan arrangements as well. Then off to Aaron Cho, who again was just a ray of sunshine, and he helped me get all of the insurance sorted out. Once John Williams from Service had detailed the vehicle, I basically felt as though I was getting a brand new car when I sat in it for the first time as "my" car. Even a tiny ding on the passenger side door was noted, and they arranged to have their body person take a look and fix it for me! As you can see...I have a lot to say about this company, and not a single solitary word is going to be negative or critical...not because I am too nice, but because I don't have ANYTHING even vaguely resembling a complaint with my experience. Even the follow ups to have me rate my experience have been patient and polite, and their inquiries about how I am enjoying the vehicle are sincere and humble. So yeah...if you are in the market for an amazing used car and the experience of your life, then you should probably stop reading this review and go there. Like now. Please.

Last December I came into Budget to try a car they had on their lot. Then the salesman suggested I take a beautiful 2016 Chrysler 200 for a drive, and yes I loved it. The sales staff and Manager put together a nice deal for me and I drove it away the same day. So for some reason I was looking at their website and saw once again a car that interested me so I drove into Budget to look at it. The salesman showed me a few cars that were nice, but then showed me a 2017 VW Passat and this was the car, everything about it I loved. I also appreciated the fact that all of their cars were well looked after with low mileage and had been serviced regularly by Budget Staff each time the cars were rented. And once again with a great deal in hand I drove that car out of their lot the same day. What a great experience dealing with professionals that know their cars and know how to treat a repeat customer. I highly recommend Budget Car Sales and that staff that work there. OH OH and I even sent my boss there, and she also bought a car from them.

If you need a car, this is the place to go. I've never been one for dealerships what with the stereotype of high pressure salespeople. However, after searching reviews of dealerships it was obvious that BCS had a great reputation among customers. I was not disappointed. The staff, from John in sales, to Tim in financing, or Shawn and Lionel in management. Courteous, patient, and professional. Staff pick you up for appointments when needed. I received a complimentary car for several days when the car needed a maintenance service check up for wheel alignment. They sell vehicles only in good condition. Many women face being taken advantage of with mechanics . As we do not have the knowledge in regards to mechanical issues. I moved to Oliver 6 years ago and I still drove to Vancouver to buy my last vehicle from BCS. Why? Last week, 5 years after my last purchase, I had a warranty problem so I emailed Shawn to see if he could/would be able to assist. Some pros and cons Pros: Amazing customer service, Dave was very helpful when I first visited to look at vehicles. Cons: everything else. After 3 visits they just couldn't get the price low enough on a vehicle so I told them I was going to buy new since it wasn't too much of a difference. Finally Tim spoke with me directly and said "ok we'll do it for the price but you've got to come in asap". I came in the next day, set up a $200 inspection (can't be too careful) and waited for the report. The vehicle was fine so I came in the next day to sign papers. Long story short, 500/mo became 548/mo hours before I signed. At this point I was tired of the negotiations so I just signed. It was for business use so it was a minor loss in the long run. But just to let other customers know, they charged me an additional $4,608. Not a good way to do business. I switched business vehicles a year later but unfortunately I chose another dealership because I didn't want BCS / Budget Car Sales to pull the rug from under me again. If you can get past minor unethical sales tactics then they've got many low mileage options available.

I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone. The variety of cars is good, but the prices are very high for these 'high mileage' ex-rental cars. The way the salesmen treat the customers is appalling! Changing from initially friendly, to extremely pushy, and sometimes aggressive when they realize you are quickly losing interest. They insist on accompanying you 'side-by-side' around the lot, and will never leave you alone for one minute insisting it is a requirement under their Health & Safety regulations, which is utter rubbish! When I showed interest in one particular Toyota, they refused to move on the high price, and when I eventually walked away and went to the nearest Toyota dealer to check their price I discovered that a new Toyota was over two thousand dollars cheaper, so quickly bought one from the dealer. My advice to anyone going there would be to check their first, then go home and investigate their prices against the mileage first, before considering buying anything from them.

I went here to look at an Acura MDX and wound up buying a Ford Edge. The experience was great and the salesman was patient and went out his way to ensure I got the car I want without any pressure. It was refreshing to go somewhere where they are not pushing you to spend more money but instead, make sure you get the vehicle that's right for you. Usually if I feel like the salesman is just trying to make a profit I would leave as I hate feeling pressured but this was not the case. If you go here make sure to ask for Sean Kilmartin.

My wife and i recently bought a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country from Shawn Jamieson at the Budget Car Sales location at the foot of Granville and Marine Drive, right beside the Arthur Lang Bridge in Vancouver. I have to say upfront i hate buying cars. I just find the process painful. It is the last thing i want to do. Shawn Jamieson was such a professional, he put the old stereotype of a used car salesman to shame. I like dealing with people who are truthful, do what they say and say what they do kind of people. This is Shawn. We were taken care of from the moment we spoke on the phone initially to when we inspected the car, took it for a road test, went through the purchase process, extended warranty process, insurance. They made it as painless as possible. In fact, i really have no interest in going somewhere else. I am telling my friends they need to call Shawn when looking for a car. Which is the greatest compliment i can give someone, because the referral will reflect on me. I like salesman that know what they are talking about. Sean is a veteran with extensive knowledge of cars which we found very helpful. Shawn and the whole team are great and my wife and i were extremely happy with the car we got, the service provided and the price we paid. What more could we have asked for? Bought a 2018 Honda civic coupe from these guys. Yes it was my first Car.... however I was charged a little bit more than full price on how much these cars go for in the lowermainland. Definitely took advantage of the fact it was my first. I even had a cosign. They agreed to overhaul my brakes for me due to the rotors being rusty and wobbly while testing it. I called back and now apparently they just want to "machine the rotors" knowing a lot about cars I know this will last no longer than 5000 to 8000 kms very annoying as I have to drive an hour without traffic just to get to them. Not satisfied! They are nice and polite but there tactics are not! 2 stars

We recently bought a car at Budget Car Sales in Marpole. They were friendly, knowledgable, and got us a fair price on the vehicle we wanted - in our budget! I would recommend this dealership to anyone because since all the cars on their lot are in excellent shape you will be safe with whatever you chose. We kind of wandered onto their lot (you are supposed to make an appointment) and they were easygoing and welcoming from the start. We dealt with Mani Arora and Shawn Jamieson, both straightforward and no-nonsense. They were extra-communicative with phone calls etc, which *can* be helpful, but when we told them this was going to be a long slow process on our baby's schedule they totally got it and cooled off - they are both family men so they understood our situation. The other dealerships we went to were very pushy in comparison. Budget has 1st pick of ex-lease cars, so when Mani said "we don't have any bad cars here", I believed him. We took the car we were interested in to our independent mechanic, and he raved about the amazing condition the car was in, inside, outside and especially under the hood. This really put us at ease that we were not going to get stuck with a lemon, no matter which car we chose, and it helped us plan a realistic budget since we knew there would be no hidden surprises. Mani showed us some other cars in our budget and car class but I think he knew right away which one was right for us although he never pushed it. He knew a lot about the different cars and features which helped us make our choice. When it came time to talk price (the scary part, let's face it) Shawn really listened to our needs and respected our financial situation, not like other dealerships that kept trying to up-sell us to something we couldn't really afford. In short, I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a used car! Especially Mani and Shawn. Thanks guys!

I purchased a $40,000 car from this location. They lied to me and said that the bank that was financing the deal had required a full warranty to be purchased at a cost of $3,800. I called the bank a few weeks later and they said they would never require customers to purchase extended warranty. So they lie just to make extra money on useless extended warranty and other programs you'll never use. Even after you find out they lied they refuse to refund your money. Avoid them like the plague.

I recently bought a nice 2012 ford edge from Budget with only 30000km. It is the best car buying experience I ever had.I looked up online and narrowed down four vehicle I was interested in and called budget. Victor is the one I talked to. He listened to all my needs and wants and offered to have the cars ready and hold before I arrived. When I arrived,the vehicles are already pulled out and waiting for me. Victor patiently drove 4 vehicle with me and told me that the Edge is the best choice(because I have 1 child and don't want a "VAN") and the best that suite my needs(4 inlaws). After some light negotiation, Victor got me a great deal. I later checked online no dealer offered lower than what I got and I traded in my civic because they offered more than I wanted. It has been 2 months and I loved my Edge.Thank you Victor, you have the best smile! I will send all my friends to see you!
