This Car Concessionaire belongs to the category of Toyota dealer.
Decent customer service recently and vehicle has been ready when they promised.
If I could rate them any less than 1 star I would on the used car side. Don't trust these crooks, I bought my first car here 5 years ago and never had an issue, and actually recommended them, however NOW I am floored with the poor service I've received. I gave a deposit letting them know my budget and that I cannot go any higher, once they came back with my payments being $30 more biweekly I kindly passed and let them know how disappointed I was with the service I received, particularly from Wyatt who didn't know anything about the vehicle and lied to me a few times. I went to a new dealer where I bought a brand new car and I got a call congratulating me on my new car I purchased from them, which is so far from true. They continued to bully me over the phone insisting I did agree and argued with me flat out about how it was mine now. I am now in a situation where they are telling me I need to pick it up. I'm so disgusted!!!!!
Very dishonest. Can’t be trusted. Not transparent. BUYER BEWARE.
Serves is not very good .My boyfriend bought a car and they did not do good service
I don't have problem paying good money to good mechanic, but honestly 700 CAD for replacing two rattling heat shields on Venza? I'm failing to see why piece of stamped aluminum cost that much.
Excellent customer service! Fast and friendly with excellent communication.
My Wife got her Toyota here, they are efficient and friendly. Would recommend them if you appreciate good old fashioned customer is #1 service
What sets businesses apart is how they deal with exceptional circumstances that are outside their responsibility. Thanks for an amazing customer experience! Kyle was attentive and explained what's normal (which I knew) and what he would try in addition (with no promises). Kyle accomplished what he'd offered and explained how it was less than the ideal outcome and why. In addition to the awesome service, Kyle also helped me resolve a minor issue with my cellphone mount for the car. So glad to be (partly) living in Stratford again!
Nice staffs and excellent service.
Good service
Friendly staff, quick service, what more could you want?
These guys are awesome. They beat other Toyota dealer by a thousand dollars to make my deal happen. It is worth the drive to Stratford if you are looking for a Toyota. zero pressure, great experience. These guys could revolutionize the car sales industry with their honesty and fun experience. The dealership is very warm and welcoming. Love Toyota. Thanks John and Daryl
Amazing service, 2 cars purchased and no problems
I was sold a lemon. 30 days after I purchased my mini van it died, just a few days before Christmas. I called to speak to the sales person, who was no longer taking my calls after I had signed on the dotted line. I was told my the service mgr. "S**t happens, it could have happened to a new vehicle." They replaced the spark plugs just to get rid of me and the problem continues to this day, the van is constantly coughing and spitting and on the verge of stalling all the time, I do not feel safe to drive out of town with it, which is exactly what I needed it for. AC is shot, and is a very expensive repair. I contacted Josh the sales person to tell him that I feel he "sold me a lemon" and no response. I went to Stricklands because I had heard good things about their reputation regarding customer service, my experience has been very disappointing and expensive, and I will never go back.
Unfriendly manager
Awful experience, Rushed pushy salesman, was told right away when test driving the car that if i don't buy this car its going to auction the next day. Also that the price i seen online earlier in the day is now higher but they will still honor the original price. no to mention few follow up calls days later asking if i was still interested in the car and that again it was gong to auction the next day ... Funny thing is 4 weeks later the car is still listed for sale i guess it didn't go to auction...... and the price is even higher on the car. How about don't lie to people we can tell.... I happily had a great experience elsewhere and Love my new car, i would never suggest anyone go to this dealership. Follow up dealer review---- Do your sales people tell people over again that if they don't purchase the car today its going to auction the next day? and then multiple calls later asking if we want the car as its still going to auction? and then 4 weeks later its still posted on your site? obviously not going to auction
I was pregnant and desperate for a vehicle. I did get a vehicle, a nissan versa note, and it does work well. But my interest rate was, and I kid you not, 25%. Its been three years of no missed or late payments, and I'm owing $14,000 on my $12,000 used car. Never again. My biweekly payments are $225 if anyone was interested.
While initially very kind after they dropped us off at the mall and we waited the 3-4 hours we were told the service would take they no longer answered our calls or text inquiries as to what was happening. I understand if the service wasn’t complete and they were still working on the van but our inquiries should have still been answered regardless how far they were into cleaning
Got a new Jeep Compass and Stricklands took care of everything. I work in IT, I am not a car person. They understood and instead of taking advantage they worked with me to explain simple things I probably should have known. As my first vehicle purchase of my life, Damion Riley took care of me and everything with the vehicle. Highly recommend coming here for your next car or even just a maintenance.
I left a voicemail last Saturday requesting to book a service appointment and it's now another week and no response. My wife has had her RAV4 serviced here once but considering my experience we have both decided to never support this business again. Unfortunately, I've had the opportunity to experience this place twice. I'll list them below so you can make an informed decision before giving your hard earned money to them. 1. I went to this dealer on a Friday in July this year looking to see whether they would like to purchase my old Corolla. They decided to suggest that nobody was there to appraise the vehicle. After I suggested to the Receptionist this was ridiculous that they didn't have a single person who could appraise a vehicle for sale to them, someone comes out... Takes the car for a drive around the building and gives me a figure (too low for the condition of the vehicle). I ask whether they could tow from residence (less than 25 minutes away) was told no. On this experience this dealer decided to make me feel unwelcomed when trying to sell them a vehicle they would net profit on. Furthermore, they undercut their appraisal and it was haphazard with a guy coming out and then we exchange texts? Oh and the best part is they'll make money off your older vehicle but they're too cheap to do tows? Ha. 2. I simply wanted a service done on my vehicle as scheduled for the maintenance interval provided by Toyota. I tried calling FOUR TIMES during OPERATING HOURS and NOBODY picked up ANY OF THE TIMES! So what option did I have? Voicemail. I left a voicemail letting them know I would like to schedule maintenance and provided a callback number. I honestly wish this dealer could move away from near the McDonald's and Harvey's because they don't have any purpose. Unsure who runs a service department and doesn't callback potential clients, especially knowing my wife came here for service once prior to my call. Stay away at all costs and support a different Toyota Dealer within the area for any of your Toyota needs.
Purchased my first vehicle with the help from Jenna she was very knowledgeable and helpful I will definitely be returning to her when it’s time to purchase another vehicle!
Damion made sure that I left Strickland's with a car that I was happy with and made sure that I felt comfortable through all stages in the purchasing process. He was patient, knowledgeable and all around helpful. I appreciate the care and time he took to help me get into the car I wanted. He is a friendly and patient dealer with lots of knowledge and took time out of his schedule to help me out and answer any questions I had as I purchased this car. He makes connections easily which helps when dealing with a variety of customers needs and I never felt like I was on my own which I have felt at previous dealers. Michael walked me through the financing process and explained in detail what to expect from the various products he could offer me. I appreciated his patience with me as I decided what was best for my family and I. I highly recommend Strickland's as every employee I encountered was polite, friendly and professional.
My husband and I had an excellent experience with this dealership. Josh made everything easy for us and made sure every question was answered. Brenda was also fantastic. All around the staff had a great attitude and it was a great atmosphere when buying a new car.
Friendly and organized staff, properly operated dealership. Nothing shady or disappealing. Salesman Josh was great.
I bought a Toyota van from Stricklands and had great service from John Rozic. He was patient, knowledgable and detail oriented willing to take the time to offer me a great deal. I would come back again in the future!
False advertising of available vehicles on their web site and on auto trader. They publish vehicles available when they don't exist. In response to Strickland's reply to my review. Your website, Stratford Toyota as of this minute displays 6 "new" Tacoma's for sale but as per Jenna, one of your sales reps, they are all sold and not available. You have one used 2016 for sale, that's it. I've contacted Autotrader as well.
Drove 2 hours for an appt to purchase a vehicle and sold it without giving me a courtesy call. Was well aware I was driving that far and on my way. Terrible service when I arrived also. Girl at the desk was rude and didn't know how to do her job.
Very efficient, knowledgable and friendly
The salesmen are so pushy and insistent! I asked a question about a car and received countless vague emails insisting I call them about some "great news on my car". Thinking the price had been lowered or something similar, I gave them a call and there was no special news on the car; they simply wanted to get my phone number so they could call me anytime about "deals" they had. They also are rude on the phone until they figure out that you are the customer that has been corresponding with them via email... Then they become very nice.. Lol. Their motto is "we will find a car for you", referring to their large inventory.. But does that mean it will be a good car? Because my budget was on the lower end, I got recommended a car with very high kms.. Since I know about cars, I knew I could get a much better deal somewhere else (and I did). I didn't want to be pushed into a sale so I didn't end up visiting them, instead went to a dealer that was far more transparent and less pushy. Go check out the dealer in kitchener called "cars and trucks for anyone". They are a much better dealer who work with their customers instead of scaring them away. Update: it's been a month and I made it clear I bought a car from another dealer. They are still calling me..
Thank you Tony and Strickland's Stratford Toyota, we are loving our 2016 Inferno TRD Sport Tacoma you sold us. I know we will enjoy it for many years to come.
Great customer service
Incredibly sexist staff. You are invisible if you are a woman carrying a baby, even if you're the one buying the car and are more knowledgable than your spouse.
Asking some tough questions about the Lemon i bought, got hung up on. :(
Excellent service.
I was here for my seasonal tyre swap. Pretty decent service. The staff were friendly and helpful. It cost me 40$ and 30mins waiting. They also provide tyre storage at 40$ per season. The technical staff should improve on collecting the customer details. Overall good experience. Updated on May 2021: Seasonal tire swapping now cost 50$.
Tony Lamond helped us find our next perfect family vehicle when we went into Stricklands. He was patient, understanding, listened to our needs and worked with us to find exactly what we required. I highly recommend working with Tony when you head in to find your next vehicle. He answered all our questions and went through everything step by step as if we were purchasing our first car, which we weren't. Outstanding service!
Daryryl and the service department have been great to deal with. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle to go to Stratford Toyota!
Knowledgable friendly staff.
Very weird experience buying a vehicle. No gas in the vehicle when taking it out for a test drive. Than not included when the sales team was determining the numbers for the vehicle. There was some miscommunication on the trade in value of my vehicle. I ended up buying the vehicle and when I picked it up it was a very impersonal experience. Again vehicle did not have a full tank of gas. Had to do a vehicle check solo sales rep was nowhere to be found. Was promised a big bag of swag for purchasing the vehicle and all I received was a bbq spatula....hahaha seems like they mean well wanted to keep my business local.
My husband and I just bought our used car at Strickland's Toyota, and the service there was impeccable - our sales guy Isaac was new, but super nice, and really helpful. With us every step of the way, and answering every silly question - which was great because we're both pretty new to the car buying process, as we've each only had one car before the one we just bought. The only thing I would say could have been better is that there aren't a tonne of cars in the $3500-$5500 range (which was our initial budget). There are lots that are more, and a good few that are less (but are in tougher shape), which made it difficult. The other thing I would say is that their listings on their site don't list which Strickland's lot a used car is located at, so unless you call to make sure you're going to the right one, a car you're interested in that's listed online may actually be located in Brantford or Windsor. Not a huge deal, just would have been nice to know going into it. You can always call if you're super interested and they'll tell you which lot it's at, their sales people are really helpful on the phone.
Best deals in Town
We like Strickland's a lot. We feel really well treated here, by folks who like their jobs. Of course, selling Toyota has to make things easier. Nice to get service where I didn't feel I was being upsold at every turn.
This company is dedicated to deliver excellent service & I have experienced this with all my visits to the above dealership. By the same token my Venza has had no real problems, just normal maintenance. Yours Jack Wittig
Can't say enough about how thrilled I was with my experience today purchasing a vehicle at Strickland's! Harper was a lot of fun, and really easy to work with- he totally listened to what it was I needed and wanted, and worked within my budget to find a lot of great options that worked for me! He gladly brought around a number of cars for me test drive, and was just as excited as I was when we finally found the right car. No pressure tactics here- just attentive, professional, and personal service (with a smile)! Couldn't be happier with the experience, or with the deal I got! Thanks Harper (thanks Strickland's)!
I was very motivated to buy a vehicle last month and my family member mentioned I would be eligible for a employee discount since they work at the Toyota Plant in Woodstock. The person I dealt with at Strickland Toyota didn't take the sale very seriously (likely because they weren't going to make a commission) since the pricing they sent back to me was the same as when I looked online, they also only sent me the payments instead of sending me a proper quote - which is not only lazy but not transparent for the dealership. I was told over the phone the only way to issue a complaint was through google reviews - I would have much rather dealt with a manager or owner instead of writing this review. Go to another area dealer, Exeter was able to give me a much better quote. edited to reply to response from owner: *** nice try Strickland's there was no discount applied *** I verified it with other dealerships ***
Great group of folks here. Ask for Harper!
Very pleased with the amount of professionalism. Definitely recommend.
Not one pearson wanted to help us. Why do i have to fill out paperwork just to sit, look and/or take a vehicle for a test drive. I shouldent have to give my credit card number to do any of those things. I dont recommend
Wonderful service, even when it's really busy.
Friendly, not pushy.
This was an overall bad experience for me. The delay in getting my car with the lack of communication was frustrating. What made this a bad experience was the guy who was realising the car to me didn't go over any of the paperwork I signed. I had no idea when my payments would come out or how much they would be. So today my first car payment came out and I wasn't expecting it to so now my first car payment bounced and I have an NSF fee through my back that I will never get back nor could I afford. I found it very unprofessional and felt he was rushing me out of there. I will never use this place again and I will never recommend this to anyone. I'll be sure to share my negative experience with everyone.
Tony's professionalism and knowledge made my car buying experience quite enjoyable. He took the time to go over every thing with us and answered all our questions and more. At no time did I feel rushed or pressured. He is definately an asset to this dealership.
Great service and very pleasant sales staff. Would recommend for all your car needs.
Awesome experience, love my new ride.
Great facilities. They are very professional and their service staff has some of the best in the business!
Harper is an awesome sales person and gentleman!!
Ryan Livermore, Gregory Harrup, Paul Nemes and the rest of the Strickland team were fantastic to work with! They helped my boyfriend Claude and I find the right car at the right price, and we couldn't be happier with our new vehicle. Thanks for the excellent customer service and for making our experience an enjoyable one — we'll definitely be recommending Strickland's to our friends and families.
Bought a used vehicle! Next day the engine light came on. We took it back and they fixed it right away, no charge. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Full service on the car today. Delivered as promised; no surprises. Service adviser Kyle N. kept me up to date on progress and ensured that things covered by warranty were appropriately noted. All repairs are expensive but I had anticipated that. Waiting area is comfortable and the entire facility is spotless. It is a busy place for good reason. Thank you.
Great service, friendly and very helpful staff.
Professional
Josh is an amazing sales guy! Happy to answer all questions and even bring up things I hadn't thought of! Toyota girl forever!
Replaced rear diff, didn't clean shavings and gunk from removal which got into the new one they installed which had to be replaced a yr later. Tech billed for clean up though. Don't go here!
Great dealership!
My father has always bought GMC's. He decided to take a chance and purchased his first Toyota Tacoma truck with you last week. The experience has been horrendous for my family. I cannot tell you how disappointed and disgusted I am with the service my father received. He has always taken the upmost pride in his vehicles and worked hard to maintain them. He is known for having the cleanest, most well-looked after trucks. As you can tell by what he traded in. I understand that after purchasing his Tacoma, a staff member took this truck to a cottage for the weekend as it was a demo. Key word is was. As it had been spoken for, it never should have left the lot. My father was distressed about this all weekend. Nick Morrison, the salesman, who I see is only interested in numbers and doesn't know a thing about customer services, promised Dad the truck wouldn't have more than 2500 on her when Dad got her. She was actually over 2600 and did Toyota do anything about it? No. Pretended it didn't happen. To top things off, I hear your detailing crew put on the paint protector spray OVER TOP of bugs. This is unacceptable. We cannot get these bugs off now. What kind of dealership hands over a new purchase with bugs on the front end? Furthermore, there was mud left on the vehicle's underside. Sloppy, sloppy job. I hear the salesguy also made a jab at my mother who was on her knees looking underneath the truck for anything else that was upsetting. I work for a trade magazine. I attend the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis every year for our business. You can bet I will be passing on what my family's experience was with Toyota and how we will never be back and make sure anyone thinking about buying a Toyota, especially in Stratford, knows what to expect. You should leave a dealership with a new car feeling proud and happy, carefree. My father felt abused and lied to. You should be ashamed to have treated my father like this.
Friendly, helpful and willingness to make your experience as stress free as possible
What started out as a pleasant experience turned out badly. I made a pretty good lease deal on a 2015 Venza. When I came in to pick up the car I was presented with a revised bill of sale with a slightly higher payment, I did not like it but accepted it. I was then presented with the lease details. When the deal was originally made the first months payment was to be free, complimentary. This was because I was a repeat customer. I was told the first payment would be one month after I took possession of the vehicle. This was not reflected in the lease. The salesman and the manager refused to honour the promise. I told the manager that I would proceed with the lease if he would honour the promise. He refused and withdrew the lease. This is my second bad experience with the sales team.
The best staff around to take care of your needs!
I do not normally post reviews, but feel it is necessary to inform other people of my experience here. I was in contact with the salesman and got a quote for a new new vehicle. When discussing the purchase with him over the phone he gave me a price. I asked him if that price included freight and he said yes freight was included in that price he quoted me. When I showed up to sign the papers the price was not what we agreed upon the previous day over the phone. I asked him why the price was $1,700 higher and he said that the final price included freight, after telling me freight was already included. I was very disappointed by this. I talked to the salesman and his manager and they apologized and said it must have been miscommunication. Up until that point my experience at Stricklands had been pretty good.
Good honest service. No b.s. and no pressure. They listen and answer your questions.
My family has now purchased 4 vehicles from Strickland's and we have been very happy each time. Most recently, I worked with Damion Riley to find a used car. He was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the experience and I never felt pressured to make a decision. He made it a fun experience! I don't even consider looking at another dealership because of how reasonable the prices at Strickland's have been and how great their service quality is. Highly recommended!
Really nice place to get your car serviced. There's snacks to eat while you wait. They wash your car when you're done too! Quite nice! EDIT: They've updated the snack area! It's much bigger and looks like a model kitchen. There's now free pop and juice along with the snacks and coffee. Really nice!
Excellent staff and no haggle pricing. Massive amount of inventory to suit your needs. Go to Strickland's for your next purchase!
My husband and I were extremely happy to work with Harper. I told him exactly what I need and he didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. We came under budget and I'm happy with my Pacifica minivan. It have all the bells and whistles a mother of 4 like me want ????. Thank you!!
Amazing service and very helpful. Made purchasing very easy
We had a wonderful car buying experience at Strickland's with the help of Damion Riley. He was extremely patient, never pushy, knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
love the place
My husband and I just came to the dealership to look at options for a new truck, we dealt with Ryan who was able to accommodate our every need with financing and was able to work the perfect affordable number for us (We recommend you ask for him on your next trip here). We are very happy with the service and the professionalism of this establishment. We are very happy that we choose to come here for our vehicle needs and would highly recommend anyone with future plans on getting a new car to start here. You wont be disappointed.
I had my Rav4 in for servicing, winter tire change and detailing. As a result of the servicing inspection two problems were identified with the braking and rear suspension. The next day, Strickland followed up to make an appointment to fix the deficiencies noted. In reviewing the detailing work, it was realized that there had been a misunderstanding an a deluxe rather than ultimate detailing had been carried out. Strickland agreed to do an ultimate detailing and credit me with the deluxe cost. An appointment was made immediately This is what good service is all about and I am completely satisfied.
Great deals
Amazing and best help iv had in any dealership
Strickland Toyota is a fraud.. Sofian was the person I met and he convinced me to pay deposit on a car without taking a look at it and then after seeing the car I didn’t like it. Now he is not giving the deposit back and even block my number.. and asking more for loan application
We had helpful friendly assistance. No pressure no gimmicks. Ended up buying elsewhere because none of the ' hundreds' of used cars there was what we wanted. But the choices were extensive.
Worst dealership I've ever been to, never bought a toyota before went in for information looking to buy one and stood in the showroom for 30min, not one sales person said hello, or they would be with us shortly, I would never recommend this place to anyone, absolute disappointment , Toyota will be lucky if I even look at one of their cars again. Pathetic
WARNING AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP! I thought a small town dealership would be better than the city - how wrong. They quoted a price based on time, then charged the max without showing a clock in and out - their excuse "the tech didn't have a time card". Their own paperwork showed half of the quoted time, yet they still charged the max on the quote. In addition they left items on the bill that weren't purchased, then argued about refunding the undelivered items - I've never experienced anything like it!!!!
Would like to add : Was asked to send my contact info so they could review my experience with customer service. Emailed my contact info and have not received a response. Not only are you treated bad but they post empty gestures online to try and save face. Absolutely awful how they treat potential customers. Went in to test drive a vehicle and after test driving we asked for a price to get an idea. We were told it was a waste of their time and they refused to give us a price and treated us terribly even though we were sincerely interested but just wanted more info. Completely opposite to our experience when we purchased our truck at All-Roads in St.marys. They made the car purchasing experience a joy while strickland's makes you feel bad for just asking a question. I will be telling everyone who will listen to me to avoid this dealer and to go to one where they will treat you the way you deserve to be.
Picked up my 2017 Toyota 4Runner yesterday. Best auto buying experience in years. Thanks to Ryan & John. Great folks to deal with.
Harper Gray-Jones did a fabulous job in renewing our 2015 Corolla by replacing the 2015 with the 2018 model. He was extremely professional and answered all of our questions openly and was very succinct in explaining all the details relating to the change of vehicles and the implictions thereof. He also was very polite, understanding and added some fun to the experience. Karen and I would highly recommend Harper Gray-Jones to assist any of our friends and/or aquaintenances when they have the need to lease or purchace a vehicle from Stricklands. Well done Harper!
The service department person I spoke to was Very Rude. Said he was only doing his job? If that’s doing his job I would advise everyone to take business elsewhere. No one needs to be harassed like this guy did to me. And they don’t Horner there contracts.
The salesman was very helpful. Not pushy, very informative. They definitely tried their best to meet all of our needs. It was great to see that even though this is a year end clearance season, they still had an amazing lineup of inventory.
Amazing customer service got everything I needed done right away and I will definitely be back to get my snow tires put on for the winter
Great friendly staff, huge selection of vehicles. Reasonably priced
My wife and I just recently got home with our new winter tires. Mr. Ron Bell the man I dealt with at the service desk was outstanding. He pulled up my VIN and made the process really easy. He invited us to make ourselves at home during the wait and was nothing but smiles and politeness the whole way through. He was a pleasure to deal with as was his associate who rang us through and actually gave us some great advice on how to save on our summers in the following year. Great service and an very refreshingly polite staff made the experience welcoming and pleasant. Great service team. I will be returning.
In the 50 years of buying and trading vehicles, my experience with Damion Riley was truly the best. He looked after all my needs and ensured I got what I was looking for. With the pandemic going on we were able to work out a deal over the phone and through email If you want a CAR MAN that delivers then definitely go see DAMION at Strickland"s Toyota.in Stratford
When i was looking at cars outsade the front door not one salesmen came outside to help me (the customer). Usually someone comes out and asks what im looking for or if i need any help but not here. I dont recommend. Although the Nissan in stratford has wonderful customer service.
Very friendly staff.
We had such a great buying experience from the advisor Tony. Very knowledgable and honest.
I went in with a couple of ideas in mind of what I was looking for. Mark Irons was easy to deal with with no pressure at all and let me test drive the vehicles without tagging along which is nice. Any questions I had were answered without hesitation and he sat back and listened while I took up a majority of his time deciding and never once was made to feel i was wasting his time. Greg also was great to deal with from going through financing options to get better rates to signing the papers. Will definitely recommend.
Sales person very nice but they didnt have much to look at for what we were looking for. And the suv we did test drive had something wrong with the breaks and it was dirty.
i found everyone serving me was very attentive When I pointed out issues They told me how they would fix those issues and followed through . It was worth the wait . The car was clean outside and inside and the audio issue was found and fixed I will always recommend the service at Strickland's auto
My 5th time leasing with Strickland’s Toyota...Always a very good experience! The staff are Great, knowledgeable and very helpful meeting my needs. I highly recommend them!
Damion went above and beyond. We customized out a Tundra, he came up with some great ideas for a unique look, and coordinated with various parties. Calm, courteous, thoughtful, knowledgeable - absolutely fantastic. Josh Bes assisted with trade and a few other items in the process as needed - great guy to deal with as well. Again fantastic. Only 5 stars as they wouldn't let me put in more. Strickland's as a dealership are always fantastic group to deal with, whichever dealership it may be.
Came in looking for a great Tacoma at a reasonable price, and with welcoming and personable assistance from Harper I was able to find what I was looking for. I can't wait to get my new truck delivered, thanks for all of your help!
This was my 2nd time buying a car from Strickland's in the past 5 years. I am very happy with my experience and love my new car. Greg was excellent to deal with. He was helpful and professional especially in such trying times when I wasn't sure buying a car was even possible. Greg offered excellent customer service by sending another salesperson Chris to my home not once, but twice to drop off an item for the car I forgot to ask about on pick up day. Thank you Greg and Chris for excellent service and making my experience an easy one. I would highly recommend Greg at Strickland's for future car buying needs.
They are spam calling anyone who has ever been there before, so they can buy cars because the auctions are closed. Almost borderline harassment. As to the owner response, which isn't true. I got called everyday for a week until I had call back to tell them to stop. The person told me management had told then to repeatedly call anyone who had ever come in.
Very happy with the customer service and quality of cars at Strickland. Damion and Hannah were both beyond helpful and didn't pressure me into buying a vehicle which was really nice and refreshing. They were both very receptive to any concerns that I had and made sure that I was informed in my decision-making.
Went here to look to get a new car and was assisted by Jon and he was very helping in my choosing of the 2015 Chevy Cruze. Will be recommending to them when they choose to upgrade their vehicle.
There is NO place that even compairs to the service you get here!!!! Great value thanks !!!!!!
No pressure sales. Super helpful.
Average service
Who knew buying a car could be so much fun? Was debating between a Honda Civic and a Toyota Corolla. After working with Harper the Corolla was the obvious choice. Both Harper and Hannah were absolutely amazing and I would recommend this dealership to anyone. Incredible service!!!!
Our visit to Strickland's Toyota was a very rewarding experience
Had been shopping for a new car for several months. This dealership had the model of car we were interested in purchasing and were very accommodating about us taking it for a test drive. The salesman, Damion Riley, was very easy to work with, knowledgeable and helpful. We appreciated that Damion was interested in making sure that we had a positive experience throughout the entire process. Business manager, Michael Lawless, also very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to communicate with.
Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Drove 45 minutes to view a car that was not transferred to their dealership as promised. The car was delivered to dealership the following business day. The sales person called confirming it was at the dealership. An appointment was made to see it and it was sold out from under me. No call, no option to move up my appointment or purchase unseen. I really liked that vehicle and had transferred money from my tax free savings account in anticipation of purchasing it. Terrible experience at Strickland's Stratford Toyota.
Great service quick and friendly , listened well and very accomidating to our schedule. Hannah is the best
Great sales and great service
Great cars and good price
Good experience at Stricklands. Contacted them online, got a quick response and answers to my questions instead of usual barrage of questions about me. Sales representative Hannah was very nice and helpful, didn't apply any pressure. When I finally went to the dealership, staff was all very nice, not usual shark atmosphere. Al in all, they made my buying experience what it should be, fair price and helpful staff that do what you ask .
THe worse services ever! I made a deposit to buy a car, sent all my private documents . In a few hours I received a call, the manager put me on a speaker phone and without any explanations said that my car I booked is not for sale any more - for me. HE pointed t out! For me! They didn't;t like my company name or what I still don't understand. No apology, no explanation! I believe they sold my car to someone else, with more profit. I am an Immigration Lawyer and Commissioner, Province of Ontario. I have never seen more rude attitude to myself ever! I would never recommend this dealership ! Stay away from these people! I will file a complain to Toyota about this incident .
After six years of happily driving our Toyota Sienna, we had our eyes on a new 2015 Toyota Highlander. Darryl Murphy at Toyota Stratford was our sales representative who helps us through the process. Darryl is very personable with a good sense of humour and we really enjoyed spending time with him. Toyota Highlanders are in hot demand and although we were prepared to wait until February or March 2015 to have one built for us, we were delighted in December 2014 when Darryl's research discovered the exact new model that we were looking for, so that we could upgrade to the Highlander a few months early. We were also thankful to Stratford Toyota for the very fair trade-in price that they offered on our Sienna. All in all, a great experience from start to finish and we'd strongly recommend Stratford Toyota to others.
It's good
Prices have really gone up.
I live almost an hour away from this dealership. I had called one evening and spoke to Ryan about 4 runners. He was off the next day but that ended up being the only day I could come in to do a test drive so I dealt with another sales person. I was interested in 3 that they had but only got I formation on two as the owner was driving the 3rd option. The following day I decided I still wanted information about the 3rd vehicle so I texted the first sales person Ryan since he had asked me to deal with him. I asked him 3 simple questions about 3rd. vehicle. He texted back to arrange a time to come in and see him. I answered and asked if he could just text me the info and he gave sent me the same response. So I called him and explained I didn't have time to drive and hour there to get this information. He seemed displeased then asked me if he got me the information then when was I going to come in to make the decision. I answered not till the next week ( which was about 3 days away) He asked me why so far off. I was stunned and told him that's the way it is with my schedule. He then proceeded with quite a tone to give me trouble for involving another sales person and that he needed a commitment cause he was very busy. With tone I replied that if he was too busy to get me the answers so I can make a decision then I will just go elsewhere cause there are other options. He changed his tune and asked if I needed the information today. I told him the next day or whenever he could would be fine. Surprise, he never got back to me.
I would not recommend taking your car to be fixed at this shop. I came in with lights on my dash, it took two whole days and $500 later and the lights are still on and the problems aren't fixed. Besides the very nice older gentleman working at the desk, the service was unprofessional and disappointing. I had to take my car to another shop where they had to fix the problems this mechanic caused and then fixed my initial problems in less time.
Such a great customer service experience. Even though I didn't end up purchasing here (what I want isn't available) my customer service experience was amazing. Ask for Hannah.
I bought a lemon there
Sometimes a company forgets who makes sure they have food in there fridge
Damien was excellent as a salesman. Would definitely recommend him. The only issue we had was the detailing. The Equinox was not clean at all. It looked like the interior was wiped down with a muddy cloth as there were mud streaks all through the vehicle Love the vehicle
I had a very good experience at Stricklands. Mark Irons was an excellent salesman. He didn't push at all and took his time with me. I bought my used SUV there a week ago and have had some a/c issues since then, but they're willing to look at the problem and address the issue themselves. All in all, it's a good experience.
Service was good.. reception area was clean and temperature was perfect with a light jacket...counter top was clean...friendly service staff
See a salesman's reply: “It had nothing to do with me being busy at all. Your wife didn't even want to drive anything unless you forced her. So obviously you were not interested in a Toyota. Good luck and I am glad we are not doing business with you.”
I bought my car at stricklands and they have serviced it for me since. They are welcoming, fast, effecient and friendly. Their waiting area is cozy with snak type stuff and coffee. Awesome guys
Poor customer service, especially from the front desk staffs their behavior was not welcoming . I have to wait for almost 2 hours to get my amount back since I dropped a deal from the agent .
Good prices.
Amazing service! I gave the salesman a price I wanted to stay within and he was able to put me in a 2015! Never thought it would have been possible.
Worst experience ever at a dealership. Seems like a collection of pathological liars from the sales manager all the way up the owner with the tiny hands ????. We were threatened multiple times that they would stop the deal and not sell us the $50000 vehicle because we questioned different items on the final paperwork. I was told by the sales manager "I'll tell you when to shut your mouth" and also told by the owner "I'd throw you out too", this is how they respect TMMC employees. It was also mentioned several times that he was not making any money off selling a vehicle to a Toyota employee which is a lie because the owner would receive commission for the sale and that info is straight from another franchise owner. They tried selling us a demo as a new vehicle and I think they realized they wouldn't get a commission once the paperwork was submitted to toyota Canada hence why they repeatedly threatened to cancel the deal. Liar liar tiny hands on fire.
Great experience here. Harper has tons of energy and made my car buying experience super fun! Did a great job at helping me find a vehicle. Would highly recommend.
I just purchased my 3rd vehicle from Stricklands. The customer care I received was fantastic, Marcos helped me pick out a car that I just love . I would highly recommend Stricklands to anyone who is looking for a vehicle.
Nice staff
Could not believe this place! Drove all the way from Strathroy. They refused to appraise my car until I selected a vehicle? (Needed to know how much money I was dealing with) and then told me there was only one key with the vehicle - asked for money. When I asked if they had any additional fees earlier they said no. In which I discovered they had some 300 dollar weird admin fee. Salesperson was rude, car also had visible damage, I had heard bad things about this place before and I should have listened. Stay away. Needless to say I bought more local to me and just brought my mother in to buy a car as well! Good luck Stricklands.... unprofessional, ridiculous
Not good at all!
Excellent service
Strickland's was recommended to me by a good friend and they didn't disappoint. I live in Cambridge and with a few closer options did not hesitate to make the drive out to Stratford, and I'm glad I did I felt like a member of their family. Darryl Murphy was more than accommodating regarding all of my requests, his ability to deliver outstanding customer service whilst maintaining an exceptional level of professionalism was commendable. The whole process felt like a conversation with a long time friend with absolutely no pressures at anytime. Everything went smoothly and I had my vehicle sooner than originally communicated, no problems with anything...but when your purchasing a Toyota perfection is expected and delivered. I will be returning to buy my wife her vehicle in the near future and have urged family members to do the same. I would highly recommend this dealership and Darryl Murphy to anyone.
Wonderful service. John was not only helpful but honest and extremely patient!
Very unprofessional viewed vehicle on Car Gurus on Thursday, booked appointment Friday morning drove 59km to view vehicle. Then the salesmen informs me that the vehicle was sold on the previous night. Did not even get a apology. Now it's 3 days later and the vehicle is still available on Car Gurus. You be the judge. On the owners reply... I did talk to the salesman before I came down and It's almost a week later and the vehicle is still posted on car Gurus
I have got parts here i was in bussines 43yrs .I called there this AM to service inquiring about a recall on Toyota van we bought few years ago.Reason we bought a Toyota is because we were sick of recalls on our Ford Windstar.Actually we bought 2 .Service lady there has absolutely no personality or any idea how to treat a customer. It's not my choice to be involved in a recall .Ford people down the road atleast were pleasant and had a personality.I had the pleasure of meeting some Heffner of Kitchener employees this summer when my daughter bought a 4 Runner there .I'll call them from here on .
We purchased 2 vehicles here last month. We worked with Dean and Richard and both were very knowledgeable and professional. Would highly recommend!!
I'm always happy with my service at Stratford Toyota. The people are pleasant and the work is done in a professional and timely fashion.
Not what I was looking for, great selection though
Unprofessional, very pushy salesman .
Misdirected information, no receptionist, and no answer when I called, all lead me to wait around for a total of almost 30 minutes for an interview, just to be told to have a nice day! I wasted 45 minutes driving out there after already having had a phone interview with them, stood around for waiting for almost another 30 minutes, just to have a 2 minute extremely rude encounter with one of the managers who's name was so insignificant to me that I cant even remember. I just finished reading over some of their other reviews and the owners responses, and I am now so thankful my encounter didn't go better, I got to experience Stricklands at their "finest" and will never deal with this business ever. Standard response below is the same response given to all of their bad reviews.... kind of humorous actually
Ok
Dropped into Stratford Strickland's with the intention of buying a new Toyota 4Runner. There was a white Demo Limited on the lot we liked. Met a nice salesman named John. While John was friendly he basically told us we could not afford the vehicle and that there was no point in us test driving it. Needless to say we were disappointed. Both my wife and I have good jobs. So we went to Walkerton Toyota and were treated extremely well by the staff there. We bought a 2017 4Runner limited. Unfortunate we had this experience but we will certainly go back to Walkerton in the future.
Excellent sales experience from Mark Irons and the Stratford Toyota dealership. Mark was very pleasant, answered all of our questions and really helped us focus on our purchase decision. The vehicle was ready for our inspection and the test drive helped ensure the right vehicle would meet our needs.
They need to hire employees with better attitudes.
I've dealt with Sticklands in the past and love the selection etc. This time I had your typical nightmare of a Salesperson, The only reason I didn't walk away from the lying and pressure tactics was because this was the exact ca I wanted and the price was right. I was told I HAD no option but to pay the upgrade warranty fee. I was told that I could not get a trade in value on my truck until I had signed a purchase agreement. I was actually told my way of thinking (to see what my budget was prior to choosing a vehicle) was backwards. When I returned to pick up the vehicle I informed my salesperson that I did not want to nor have to purchase the extra warranty at which point I had to wait for 20 minutes for him to get the ok from his manager (yeah right). Then I was lied to again and told something was written in the contract. I asked him to show me where knowing full well he couldn't. But he still took another 5 minutes to try and find it - which he didn't. Finally when I was able to get into the car I had just bought I was given no instruction on features AND the gas read "0 kilometers to empty". And this salesperson had a trainee with him!
Ryan Livermore is an excellent young salesman. He took us for a test drive in the RAV4 of interest to us and encouraged us to then test drive it ourselves. He answered every question helpfully and patiently. We decided to buy a Honda CRV Touring because they have already upgraded on-board computer support and other features in their 2018 models that Toyota will roll out in your 2019 models. If we had decided to buy a RAV4 we would have bought it from Ryan. Strickland Stratford is fortunate to have Ryan on your sales staff. We will recommend Ryan to our friends who express interest in buying a Toyota. Robert and Jean Ann Norman
Dean and staff are amazing to work with. Loving my Toyota Tundra Ted sport. Couldn’t be happier
Dishonest Dealership. I purchased a car back in July 2016. I was aware of the vehicle having an accident but was not aware of other conditions such as frame damage. I test drove the car an took to a mechanic in my town to view the vehicle. But they failed to inform me at the time of a structural/ frame damage report when i took the vehicle for test drive. So my mechanic and I were unaware of this. The rear bumper was not fully attached to the vehicle. I had them fix it when i bought the car an picked it up... Prior to this.. On bill of sale states minor structual damage an i questioned them what that was an the sales person an finance advisor stated that was the cost to fix the rear bumper. No indication that there was frame damage. Received a carproof when I purchased the vehicle but the car proof does not match up to the current car proof today. They also failed to inform me of the vehicle being at an auction. They stated it was a lease return. I found out about this when i was trying to trade in vehicle for a new vehicle at a Mazda dealership back in December 2017. I went in person to the dealership an spoke to the General manager an he stated he did not have the file on hand he would contact me back.. He contacted me back that evening an stated that they informed me of this structual/frame damage at the time of the purchase. I informed him no you guys did not mention it when i test drove/ drove the car back to London. If i was informed about structural damage i would not have purchased the vehicle. As explained above about the bill of sale incident stating there minor structural damage of $3000. I was mislead an was informed that was the cost to reattach the rear bumper back onto the vehicle. The General manager stated he would look further into this matter an contact the following Thursday for follow up an i did not receive a call or email. It has been over 3 weeks now. I tried in those 3 weeks to contact him an he will not return my phone calls. So i contacted omvic an reported this and they stated i need to seek legal aid and also file small claims court against Stricklands.. This whole experience has been a nightmare... I do not recommend anyone buying used vehicles from Stricklands. My vehicle is worth way less than what i paid at the time. I can not trade my car in as there will be negative equity. Strongly suggest anyone picking up a car there, to VERY carefully inspect the vehicle before signing off. An pay for an up to date carproof verified report. I hope people think twice before buying a vehicle from the Stricklands chain or any other used dealership. I will never buy a used vehicle again.
Sonya in the finance department was great. Called in for a few questions, she was able to answer them all. Very knowledgeable and excellent service.
Strickland's SERVICE DEPARTMENT is evil, lying to do work that doesn't need to be done, and stealing your money when you believe them (I'm not talking about buying tires, I'm talking about when your car needs work). I actually sold our Toyota to get away from Strickland's because of their evil service department. Any review you read out here that's positive (3 or more stars) regarding their service department... it makes me truly wonder if some of them could be entered by Strickland's themselves. Let's face it - any dealer can make a person feel all happy when they BUY a car, but if you separate Strickland's SERVICE department reviews from all the happy-to-buy-a-new car reviews, you will see a definite pattern of bad and more bad. I even met a former auto service MANAGER from Strickland's who went into business on his own selling used cars (he was the one who sold our Toyota for us), and he even told me the level of thieves Strickland's was... once his underlings lied and stole from a minister (man of the cloth) who believed their lies... for which he made his underlings at Strickland's give back money to the man. And to this day, Strickland's is no different. So beware, for your own sake please.
Wanted to buy a safe reliable vehicle. I was sold a vehicle that was guaranteed and was reassured more than once that the check engine light would be fixed. Unfortunately their term of fixed is to reset the code and hope for the best. When I returned with that vehicle not even a week later was told it was going to be fixed but it wasn't within the next week the light came back on with same problem. This occurred more times than I can count. I finally had enough and went back for the last time or what I hoped would be the last time and was reassured yet again that my vehicle would be. Yet here I am with the same problem. This dealership is a fraud and a scam artist. Very distrustful staff and liars. I will never go back. Now I am stuck with a vehicle that is a bigger piece of s*** than what I own before just paying a lot more for it. Also at one point when I was discussing what could be possibly done about my vehicle and the problems that it has, I was told that I should be lucky to have a vehicle for 7 months and not have more problems than what I already do. For anybody who is looking to buy a vehicle I strongly suggest to skip over Strickland's and Toyota and take your money, your hard-earned money somewhere else. To add after cookie cutter reply I won't be wasting my time contacting your service team just to be given the run-around again and have my vehicle come back in worse shape than when it was originally sent in for repair, just to get it back with same problems and then some. Yeah not thanks. Save your BS for someone else. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. As a strongly suggest any potential buyers to do so as well. Don't continue to let people and businesses like this take your hard-earned money.
Excellent service.
I've dealt with stricklands for years, i always have a good laugh with the service guys there.
Dropped by their dealership recently after suddenly experiencing a loud vibration coming from underneath my Matrix. I'm grateful that their service dept. had time to check out the problem promptly. After charging me for their time, I was told that the middle heatshield required replacement and would need to be ordered, which would cost about $180.00. After setting up an appointment, I decided to visit my old mechanic to get a second opinion. They installed an oversized washer, which would solve my problem. Furthermore, they didn't charge me. I won't be visiting this dealership again any time soon.
It dosn't make sense that I have to go next door to buy a used Toyota. Should be fiananced by Toyota Financial Services Canada and sold by Toyota. Especially since you own both dealerships. Staff was friendly and kind.
Over priced
Tony Lamond is an excellent salesman. I found him to be patient, professional, thorough, and helpful. He sold us exactly what we envisioned. The service has been fast and efficient as well, and I really appreciate that. In the process of buying our car I also had a chance to talk to Damion and found him to be very polite and helpful too. I would love to go back to this dealership just because of these wonderful people.
I e mail asking about a Tacoma, asking if the price was flexible before I drove up there. The response I get was what's the best time I can call you. My response was I would rather keep this to e mail so far because I'm not 100% sold on a brand new truck yet. Response I get Hello Blake; I agree with you that you are not ready to buy a new vehicle as you are not ready to speak with some one on the telephone and we do not conduct pricing business by e-mail and so if you do not want to speak to us then happy shopping Sir. Regards, I don't know but that sounds kind of rude to me. And have every intention on buying a new truck if the price is right. Seems like bad sales tactics to me.
We just recently purchased a used Mazda5 from Strickland's and were extremely pleased with the whole experience. We met with Damion and Mike — who don't believe in pushy sales tactics — making the entire purchase process a breeze! Not once did I feel like I was being pressured into something I didn't want or need. Everyone was super friendly and made us feel at home. I highly recommend these guys! Thanks again for all your help! We look forward to putting tons of KMs on our "new" car!
