Was happy with the service until recently.. we were recommended front brake replacement at only 80000 defiantly early but I went for it for peace of mind upwards of 800 for the install with parts. We are now at 110000 km and the fronts are fried from improper install no grease used on hardware caused pads to seize and burn out rotors. So 30000 km later with ridiculous parts pricing and 2 hours labour charged out another set of front brakes and my original rears are better shape than front.. unbelievable. Do not recommend service considering my experience with a simple brake job.

Great place! Always a good experience, the staff are great people who are always willing to help. Very knowledgeable. Also they totally saved my car, as my last mechanic in Goderich hyundai, before Stratford, left one of the caliper brake pins out of the caliper altogether. The staff at Stratford hyundai actually showed me that it was missing and said I was very lucky that it didn' cause harm to me or the car or others! So thank you very much Stratford hyundal.

Unbelievable service! Our car’s air con died moments into a 5 hour car trip from Toronto on the record-breaking hottest day of the year. We made it as far as Stratford where the good folks at this dealership had our car diagnosed by the time we sat down and got the kids organized. They were fast, courteous, lovely people - and their solution to our problem was over and above anything we could have expected. We were back on the road in under a half hour with a solution on the way and a loaner car with air con to keep the kids safe and comfortable. I would drive all the way to Stratford just to have these people help us again if we needed anything. Thanks so so much to Phil and Tyfani and Irvin and their team for everything.

About 2 months before I moved to Ontario, I began contacting dealerships to buy a car. Most dealers seemed like they were too tired to sell a car, it was quite frustrating. That was until I contacted Stratford Hyundai. I first spoke to Connor, and he was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the procedure, it made the reservation and the purchase go smoothly. Upon arriving at the dealership to pick up the car, I was greeted by Connor, Susan and the rest of the team, and they were all really nice and competent, making the experience even more incredible. I currently live an hour away from Stratford, but I am glad I went all the way there for my car purchase, because those people sure make it worth your while. Not only that, but I will also service my car there in the future, because they are trustworthy.

Honestly the worst dealership I've ever been to. I was able to get answers to my questions (elsewhere) faster than my salesman which ultimately lost him the sale. I went in after 2.5 days of waiting for him to answer those questions to collect my deposit and terminate the sale. The sales manager made his thoughts very clear to me. He made sure to tell me how the vehicle 'sat all weekend" and how he "could have sold it". Well yeah, you could have sold it to me if your service had been semi acceptable. No apology, no trying to keep me happy. He was just snarky and tried to make me feel intimidated.

Called dealership about a used car we saw online at their dealership and told them we would be there within the hour to see it. We drove 40 minutes from out of town and when we got there, the salesperson who asked us to see him, did not have the car un-buried (from snow) from the back of the lot of cars, and the entire staff went on a search for half hour to find the key to this car. We stood there waiting this whole time. The dealership was empty at this time too. If I were a salesperson who had a warm lead coming in on a specific car, I would have had the car located, moved right out front and warmed up. This was our first impression. However, we did like the car and bought it. I never found anyone in the entire dealership overly friendly or enthusiastic about our business. The car was purchased with 12,000 kms on it (fairly new) and a few months later, at 18,000 kms the brakes need replacing. When I called the Stratford Hyundai to ask about any kind of warranty they would help on, since the brakes were worn out way before they should be, they told me there was nothing they could do...there is a 30 day warranty on their used cars on safety related issues only. So not sure how the brakes wore out that fast, but I would say buyer beware of what you are purchasing from them and also make sure you figure out if anything is wrong with the car within 30 days. We now have to spend $1000 to get the brakes fixed after spending nearly $24,000 buying the car from them a few months ago. We will not deal with this dealership again. Dissappointing but most likely true of most dealerships.

I was called Nov 30 to confirm my Dec 1 service appointment. I arrived at 830 for my 845 appointment. Service advisor took my keys, did all the paperwork. One hour later, at 945, my car was still sitting outside. I asked the advisor what was going on? He told me a scheduling mix up. Mean while I'd been sitting there 1 hour, waiting, and nothing was said to me, no communication what so ever. The service manager helped the mechanic and serviced my car ASAP. Car was there for a #3 service, so lots of work. I inspected my car when it was done. Big grease stain on drivers seat. Service manager did his best, but all in all the service was terrible! I bought the car there and have never ever been treated so poorly!

Denise came to me to explain what they found and even took me to see the problem in person while she explained. During the short wait for my car I noticed that the customer service at Stratford Hyundai was a lot better than what I've seen at other dealerships in the region. Easily worth the drive from KW!

I booked an appointment 3 weeks ago to have snow tires put on our car. We were told at the time of purchase that there were snow tires included in the purchase price. This morning we were told that these tires did not exist. Had they told me when I made the appointment that there was no record of said tires I would have already had new tires on my car (purchased elsewhere) This is not the first time I've had issues with this dealership. When we purchased in May, within 24 hours our car was back at the dealership because it was chugging and bucking. They tried to tell us that it "just needed an oil change. " The real problem was the timing chain. They did eventually fix it but only after we fought with them for almost a week. They need an electronic database for their tires and their sales people need to stop lying to make a sale.

Low ballers. They quoted $2300 for my trade-in, however, I got $4800-$5500 somewhere else. Their used car price includes admin fees accessory fees (why for used cars) and other fees (not the $10 government fee). When I asked to break down the price, the sales man said admin, other and accessory is $0. If it is zero, the fees in the quote should be like nil or N/A not included, which means other/hidden fees are included in the price tag. I really liked the car I tested with low KMs. However, I changed my mind because of their lies. Dnt waste your time here.

We purchased our 2016 Santa Fe at Stratford Hyundai in early February while visiting with our daughter. We had been looking at new vehicles around home but when my husband stopped in and met with Wade, the deal was sealed and a future delivery date would become a surprise completely arranged by Wade and my husband. On Valentine's Day, unbeknownst to me, they texted back & forth throughout the day to set up when and where Wade would drive the Santa Fe to London (the halfway point from our home) and take my old vehicle back to Stratford, despite the poor weather conditions that day. After our Valentine's dinner at Moxie's that night, we came outside and there was Wade on the corner with my brand new car - covered with a big red bow and balloons - a huge smile on his face, blowing snow whipping around him... Wow it was an exciting time and I just can't thank Wade enough for pulling off this surprise! To drive from Stratford in that nasty winter weather and back in the dark to make this delivery is truly above and beyond a normal salesperson duty. Wade is wonderful to deal with and we would definitely drive back to Stratford to purchase another vehicle when the time comes. For now though, we LOVE our new Santa Fe and fight over who gets to drive it! Thank you Stratford Hyundai for the great , friendly and knowledgeable service, and especially to the young man in your sales department, Wade O'Brien - he rocks!!

"DISAPOINTED".. I purchased my second used hyundai from S. H. and at first I was happy, then the check engine light came on. I returned twice and they Couldnt figure out why the light was going on and scheduled me for another appt. Over two weeks later, with light still on. In meantime I googled problem and solved myself. On returning to dealership, 3rd time, told service dept. How I fixed problem and during appt while tech was working on my car, to make sure problem was solved and recall work, asked about snow tires. The prices they have me where higher than competition and I could get a better price from Stratford Kia.. Cold calling. This is my second vehicle purchase in over 10 years. They would do nothing for me, even though this was third trip back in less than 3 weeks. One simple thing I asked was fresh oil and filter change. Checking paperwork given and oil change decal on windshield, my car already was due for oil change on Oct 17. I picked up my car on Nov 2nd. Not impressed. Little details keep customers coming back. Will think twice. Still waiting on parts promised to perm. Fix issue with my car, 2016 Hyundai Elantra.

Despite being a long time customer of Stratford Hyundai I STILL get the worst service here. They only care when you are purchasing a car from them and from there on end you're not a priority. I've had MULTIPLE recalls on my vehicle, and I understand it's not their fault but I go through extended lengths of time before I was able to even get them repaired. When I did go in, I'm not treated very well. I've also heard from many people the same situation. Not only that but after being in the phone with them with another issue I have had on several occasions they've said they would call me back with information and leaving me still waiting for said information until I, myself call back. To which they still don't have the answer to my questions. I've lost my patiences with them long time ago. I'm not the type to bash companies on the internet but I can't tell you how infuriated with the level of customer service or lack thereof. If they would just listen and fulfil the promise that have been made to be and probably other customers they wouldn't have such a negative reputation around town.

I was not originally a fan of Hyundai's but I was convinced to go try the dealership anyway just to see. I was welcomed immediately, the staff were all prepared to answer my questions. Andre took my list of must haves and found me the vehicle that fit everything I wanted at a price I could afford. Throughout the process I asked question after question and he answered all of them and walked me through the process of purchasing a new car. The staff all worked around my schedule to set up pick up and paperwork and were very accommodating. The car itself is everything I wanted in a car: great mileage, sleek sexy design, user friendly technology, and a comfortable fit. I was really blown away by the customer service I received and I have already started recommending this dealership to my friends and family.

I brought my Kona to Stratford Hyundai after having a reoccurring issue that my local dealership seemed unable to resolve. Phil absolutely provided a white glove treatment. He arranged for a loaner vehicle to use while we waited on parts and to ensure he could personally make sure everything was fixed up. I had also provided Phil a list of work to do that my local dealership had said was past due...Phil was so honest and forthcoming and advised me that these things weren't due for at least a few years. After having an unpleasant experience at Stratford Hyundai in the past, I was very reluctant to step foot in there again, however, the vehicle I found online happened to be at Stratford Hyundai. I decided to return and check it out. I dealt with Wade O'Brien. From the moment I met him, I was instantly impressed. He was not the arrogant, pushy salesman I'd had the pleasure of dealing with thus far. He was incredibly knowledgeable, very sweet, and extremely patient as I was having a hard time deciding between a car and SUV. Wade has a unique approach to sales which sets him apart from other salesmen I have dealt with in the past. He also takes the time to personally get to know his customers, therefore, being able to provide them with the vehicle that best suits their families needs/budget. I believe Stratford Hyundai is very lucky to have Wade O'Brien as part of their team. This is now my 3rd Hyundai in the last 10 yrs. I've never had a major issue with any of them, which is why I continue to drive Hyundais...they are reliable, efficient vehicles with a high safety rating. Horrible first impression. Someone at work told me that they had a 5 year free oil change offer if you purchased a vehicle from them. I called them today (April 17) as I wanted to confirm this and a lady answered the phone. When asked she said it was for life. I asked to confirm that oil changes were free for life and she just hung up on me. It was not disconnected but hung up. The only star is for the gentleman who answered the phone when I called back immediately afterwards to ask the reason of her behaviour. He was polite and invited me to come in. I needed a vehcile ASAP and it would have been convenient to buy from them but if this is their behaviour with a new customer I can't imagine what it would be afterwards. They lost my business today.

Horrible experience. Overpriced used cars. Pushy sales people. Purchased a used 2011 genesis coupe 2.0LT over four grand more than other dealerships. Car needed alignment and was told it would be completed but never was. Was promised cheaper finance rate but was tricked into signing at the higher rate and forced to pick a warranty package after refusing the package. Would never use this dealership ever again also wouldn't recommend to anyone

I dealt with a salesperson named Tim McNaughton when I was looking for my new vehicle, he made us feel like he really cared about our needs in the new vehicle and our restrictions on budget and in the end got us a great deal on a new Santa Fe! Paul Lobsinger is one of the most open and honest saleman that I met during my search for a new car. He answered all of my questions and let me seek out my own conclusions regarding each vehicle we discussed. When I got down to choice of engine, he suggested I drive both types and made sure that the vehicles were available to me when I came to Stratford from Waterloo. He searched out the color I wanted and made sure all the options were there. Both my husband and I were very impressed with his knowledge and openness about the company and vehicles. He made himself available to us at our convenience never complaining and always smiling. Even my nervousness over first time buying of a car, was settled because of him. The usual "pushy" attitude that I had become accustomed to disappeared with Paul. By letting me find my own way around, ask my own questions, he got to know me and then when I actually needed his help, it was far easier for both of us. When I came to pickup the car, he spent as much time as I needed but encouraged me to contact him with any questions and I know I can and will. He took the time to pair my phone and advise me on the XM radio package and how to get the most out of it. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience. Bought a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fa and after after a year I had to replace the entire back brake system. The service manager was rude and ignorant and had a snide answer to every question . She said the brakes passed the safety and thats all that matters when two different machanics said the condition they were in there was no way . UPDATE!!!! So 8 months ago I bought a 2014 Santa Fe off this dealership. Things did not go very well and I was very unhappy with this dealership. I told myself I would never come in again. Until Phil Mahy contacted me advising me that he was put into a new position as sales manager and he wanted to make things right for me as he saw the deal happen. He advised me that they had a new service manager(had a terrible experience with the old one) and sales staff too. Phil went out of his way, bought my car off me for top retail dollar and sold me a beautiful civic coupe for an amazing price. The sales rep killed it she was amazing and the overall vibe of the dealership has completely changed. I am very careful who I let touch my car and I can say I will be back to Hyundai for service! My wife and I went to Stratford Hyundai after visiting two other Hyundai stores and this one is by farr the best one to deal with. The service we received was second to none and the best deal. No high pressure sales just the straight goods.

Dealt with a salesman named Iman, do not trust him, will tell you what you want to hear until he gets you in the showroom and will lie to you about the deal he offered you. Signed a deal on a car, got the paperwork home and nothing was on there as to what we agreed on when we signed the deal. Called back talked to the manager and he got things fixed up from me, no apology from salesman. Was not a pleasant experience dealing with that salesman, would not recommend dealing with this dealership if you had to deal with this salesman.

Needing to purchase a vehicle we went through the usual proceedure of Internet searches etc that eventually led us to a potentially suitable match at Stratford Hyundai. We phoned the dealership to set up a test drive and with the usual 'car-buying' trepidation set off. We had the good fortune to have spoken to Wade O'Brien on the phone and he met us and arranged for the test drive. Our mood lightened as we immediately felt comfortable with both the surroundings and the people involved. The vehicle was everything we had hoped for and after patient explanations of all of the features, preparations, warranties etc we decided to make an offer. The offer, counter-offer and agreement was both quick and respectful and concluded to our satisfaction. Angie in the business office explained everything we would need to do in order to pick up the car two days later. When we arrive to pick up the vehicle it was all ready for us and the business end of the transaction was concluded both quickly and efficiently. Wade, once again, patiently went through the controls and features in great detail and set-up the bluetooth connection and we were on our way. In summary: We drove approximately 1 hour 20 minutes from our home to look at and purchase our vehicle and it was well worth the effort. The people with whom we dealt: Janet in reception, Angie and especially Wade were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. It wasn't like the usual "Buying a Car" at all!

They charged my dad over $1550 to replace the leaking brake lines in his car. The parts were only $125 and the remainder of the cost was attributed to labour. The dealership fumbled to explain how this basic job took two workers 8 hours to complete, and was not convincing. It's hard to understand how they can justify treating a customer of 8 years this way, but needless to say they lost our trust and future business.

The sales manager, Tyler Weber, went out of his way to accommodate us, not only in buying our new vehicle; but assisting us with finalizing transactions with our leased vehicle. Having purchased our 2019 Kona Ultimate elsewhere, we were quite dismayed with the service we were receiving at "the other guy's" location. Adam and Phil @ Stratford Hyundai service have continued to provide me with quality service and talk to me at MY level of gear-head knowledge. No condescension. They actually listened to what I was saying. There has never been any resistance to warranty issues/work. It's what you would like to see in all dealerships! Even when the car eventually goes out of warranty, I feel that I will be able to trust the guys and gals there, to continue working with them.

The 3 stars are for my dealings with Mike and Phil in sales. That was pleasurable experience. But service? As i write i am waiting for my car to be fixed. I broke a plug on my gas pedal while installing an aftermarket item. (Totally my fault) Had the car towed to the dealership and explained the issue. I was told they were very busy and would address it when they could. That was 3 days ago. I have tried calling and e-mailing for updates and when or if i get a hold of service (because sometimes tbey don't answer) i am told that there are other cars ahead of mine and they will try and fit it in. I asked to be updated throughout the day so i can make arrangements for child pick-up and such. Have never received any updates. It has always been me chasing them down to see where its at. Since i caused the issue i was able to tell them what was wrong and its literally a 10 min job to pull the pedal out and order the part that i broke. But they were unwilling to have tech take 10mins to get a head start on the fix. Now i wait till it can get in (its already been 3 days) then i will likely have to leave it there over the weekend until the part gets ordered and delivered. Beyond unhappy. Thanks for letting me vent ???? Update... They found that the throttle pedal assembly was pooched ($230) . ok. Then labor...$275!? Absolutely ridiculous.how long did it take them to pull the pedal out and see that it was broken. My last vehicle was an audi and they would never have pulled something like this.

I previously owned a hyundai that was purchased in London and later serviced in Stratford. The costumer service at Stratford hyundai was always fantastic. They had great communication with costumers and were as accommodating as possible. I have since bought another brand of vehicle and have had nothing but issues from multiple service centres of this other brand. Thankfully, my husbands new vehicle is a hyundai and he will be able to continue getting exemplary service from this dealership! I know when the time comes to get a new car I won’t go anywhere but Stratford hyundai! I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase or service a vehicle!
