If there was an option of “below zero star” rating, Aitken Motors would be awarded negative five for customer service. Buy out of the leased vehicle through them was a real nightmare. Note, that the vehicle was purchased at another dealer and we could not return to the same dealer due to recent move out of the area. Lack of communication internally within Aitken Motors and with the customer was evident through out the entire process.
1. The dealer has not responded to numerous messages left on their answering service
2. Phone inquires have been forwarded to incorrect rep.
3. Only an in-person conversation started the process only to be dropped for a month. Again, a personal inquiry revealed the file being passed to another person who failed to act on it.
4. Finally, dealing with one rep who although was making progress with buy out, was arrogant enough to refer to a person in the emails by last name without a Mr/Mrs title, TWICE.
5. Customer was not updated on the progress of the safety inspection and readiness of the vehicle. On a plus side, dealership has provided a use of replacement vehicle for the duration of the inspection which was much appreciated.
6. After the payment for the vehicle was made, the “buck was passed” twice within the dealership and the paperwork was not finalized within the promised time. The customer was once again not advised of the delay.
Based on this experience, this dealership has lost a potential customer and it will not be recommended.
