Typical small regional airport where the life is moving slowly. You have to carry your luggage yourself from check-in to security screening and further to a luggage belt. Security checking of passengers is slow but professional. There is a restaurant, car rental offices, drinking water fountains and several vending machines with food and drinks at the airport. Airline staff is nice and friendly but not always well trained.

Small regional airport that currently has zero service beside an automated coffee machine and a snack dispenser. Staff is generally pretty rude/couldn't care less and security is overzealous when compared to YUL or YYZ. Sadly, it's not exactly like you can avoid this airport if you need to fly from Sept-Îles.

However, the choice and volume of music are very tiring and aggressive. There is not a place where you can sit without having it on your head. Please consider turning down the volume for users. Cependant, le choix et volume de la musique sont très fatigants et agressifs. Il n'y a pas un endroit où on peut s'assoir sans l'avoir sur la tête. The airport is well situated, easy to get to from Sept Iles. The staff are wonderful. Just be aware that at the time of my last visit (December 2019), the restaurant ( which was also the gift/news shop) in the airport is closed, so plan accordingly. There's a nice workstation ( 4 spots) available, so you can catch up while waiting for your flight. Premises and washrooms are clean, staff, security and border agents are all very polite and efficient. As an interesting aside, sunset (the photo I posted) was at 3pm, being mid December.

Subsequently, the registrar clerk was really rude and seemed to hold me responsible for the situation. Really bad experience !! (Original) Rien n'était clair, j'ai demandé oú je devais aller pour ma connexion et on m'a dirigé au mauvais endroit avec de mauvais renseignements donc j'ai manqué mon avion. Par la suite, l'employé du bureau d'enregistrement était vraiment désagréable et semblant me tenir responsable de la situation. Vraiment une mauvaise expérience !!
