I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Scarboro East Auto. After driving an hour and a half I was told I was not allowed to test drive the vehicle I had made an appointment to come see. I was told I had to be pre-approved for financing and put $100 down to drive the car. No one had told me this in my email dealings with them. Even after explaining that no one informed me of this ridiculous requirement, they didn't even offer to let me look at the car, or get in it. The dealer even said that we would be wasting his time. Suffice it to say, I was ready to buy this car that day, and this dealer lost business because of prejudice toward me because I look young.

Service was impolite bordering on rude, and communication was beyond terrible. I had just moved back to Canada from abroad and was told it would be fine as long as I brought my Ontario paper license with me when I picked up the car. I found out the night before I was meant to pick it up next morning that they actually needed a copy of it ahead of time - pick up was delayed 36 hours, which is a lot when you have plans that hinge on having a car. Was also told we needed an insurance policy number to pick it up - myself and my insurance broker bent over backwards to make it happen in by the deadline, only to be told on pick up that we didn't need it. Then when we picked the car up we were told we needed to pay by cheque, which we had not been informed of ahead of time so we did not have that ready, which led to further delays. The car was in decent shape, and everything else went well, but the whole process would have been much less stressful of the communication had been better.

So I recently purchased a car here. The staff is a joke. I have never held my tongue on a review and I definitely wont start now. Mina is definitely someone to keep an eye out for same goes for the rest of the staff. They give you the run around for car repairs. Make sure to bring any car bought from here to mto for a full check up or you wont get anywhere with these people. 100% scam artist No need to try to defend yourselves in this case just provide the costumer a good experience and then you wouldn't get bad reviews Also find it hilarious how management replies to every bad review like if their feed back mattered.

Came here with about 12k in hand ready to walk off the lot with a car the same day, but wanted to get a feel if they were legit, they were nice i guess but I felt like the dealer didn’t think I was serious, they were hesitant about allowing me to test drive the car and said “we have to know if you’re serious first” followed by asking me to pay a deposit to test drive the car…there’s no way of knowing if i’m serious about the car if i can’t test drive it. Waste of my time and money coming down here, thought i’d make a deal but these people are tripping lol.

The car seemed perfectly fine but the people had extremely aggressive sales tactics, wouldn’t allow a test drive without putting down a $500 deposit. Argued with everything I said, talked over me at every turn, insulted my financial stability when i refused to pay the $500 “well most men can afford this slight deposit for most people it’s nothing”. I can honestly say I spent 2 and a half hours here I very much wanted to buy a car but they made it extremely difficult and one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had attempting buying anything. If I suddenly decided I wanted the car I would not go back to the same dealership just off of how uncomfortable the sales person and manager made me feel.

My fiance brought me here to look at a Mazda3 5 speed which I fell in love with: that said I didn't leave in the red one, after conversating with Mina, thinking about our purchase: etc... I must say the patience Mina has, wow!!! He was great, when we came back after a long thought process, my fiance test drove the other Mazda3 5 speed, which I instantly knew id be plating that car and bringing it home!!! It was valentines day and after such a struggle trying to find a car, being 3 hours from home, trapped in Toronto for what seemed like forever I just wanted to go home with my car.. I explained my situation to Mina and he was beyond astonishing to meet my accommodations as I wasnt open to financing and was sick of getting scammed out of cars, he was honest with us I said I am not looking to finance I am looking to purchase as is so I can just go home; I am over rhe moon happy with my purchase from Scarborough E. It took no time to get paperwork done, I even need some more busineas cards to continue to hand out to my friends because yes I recommend these guys I'm sure the other sales guys are great but Mina made us feel welcomed, appreciated and like friends. ( Updated at bottom ) I really wanted to love this car and experience as those at the dealership seemed honest and enthusiastic. Unfortunately that is not the case. I went to the dealership exactly a week ago today. Tuesday September 22nd. I drove an hour to go as I had heard reputable things of this dealership. I was looking for a car for my mum, one that needed a few minor repairs would be okay. The one I had originally gone to look at clearly looked as though it needed substantial work done so the employee assisting me informed me that there was another car above my price point in running condition. I agreed to look at it. From a look around and inside it seemed to be much better than the other car. I asked for a test drive but was informed that they do not do test drive with cars at that low of a price point. No big deal. They couldn't find the carfax at that point but said that it drove great, didn't seem to have any engine or transmission issues. great news. I left for awhile to go look at another car I had already planned on looking at but that one didn't pan out. So I went back to Scarboro East Auto and took another look at this car. They again reassured me that everything seemed good with the car so I agreed to purchase it. Still out of my budget but for a car that I was under the impression didn't need much I thought it was worth the risk. (Out of budget being I put money I couldn't afford on the line to get a more reliable vehicle which is why this is heartbreaking in the end) After signing the documents and making the payment in full they found the carfax. Come to discover that the car had 5 previous owners listed and a minor accident resulting in cosmetic damage, my concern was only for a moment though as they were quick to point out that it had just been certified in April of this year and even though I had to go get it certified again they indicated that being done so recently it should pass no problem. This put me at ease and we left and came the next day to pick up the car. (at this point we drove the "new" car across the parking lot but that can hardly show anything beside the fact that the car is moveable) The next day my mum drove the car home and she said other than some pulling to the right and a bit of noise it seemed okay. Tuesday September 29th I received the phone call about what my mechanic saw. Right high beam out and possible electrical issue No wheel weights and recommended wheel balance to be done Rear right TPMS sensor replacement Entire front end suspension replacement (strut, coil, ball joint, tie rod ends) Entire exhaust system from the catalytic converter back (plus windshield repair which is not included in quote) Estimate total: $3,583.27 Car purchase price: $3,485.65 + $75.00 plates & Temp sticker Total cost after repairs to certify :$7,143.92 I will 100% never go to this car dealership again. And I have no doubt that others have had a good experience with their pre-owned already certified vehicles but it is not the same experience with their vehicles that are not certified. I really wanted this experience to be great. it wasn't. ( After I posted this review they left me a voicemail asking me to contact them. I called the next day and had a conversation that can be summed up to " I am naïve, and they feel bad for me. I shouldn't have expected to get a car that would run. Asked repeatedly what I was expecting buying a non-certified vehicle and that I should have expected what happened. My thought was I am not naïve. This is not the first used vehicle I have purchased, I went on their 30 years experience and their word on how great it was after they talked me up to this particular vehicle. Their only offer to me was to take the car to their mechanic and have all the work that my trusted mechanic said would cost $3600 and their mechanic could do it for $800. My response was that my child and my mother would be in this vehicle and I need it to be safe and that didn't sound very safe to me. Unfortunately we did not land at a reasonable resolution. )

If you are a first time buyer, DON'T CHOOSE THIS DEALER. I got a possibly flooded, 2012 Corolla at 217.4 kilometers. I highly suspected that, but they told me that was fine because of road salt. I drove it for exactly 3000 kilometers until today, and the throttle and in-take start to malfunction. They charged me a 600 fee for breaking system inspection and fixing, but now I suspect they have done nothing. How come the car slips sideway when you break on a flat asphalt surface with some small holds, which is just very common in northern places like Toronto?

Bought a 2012 Toyota Sienna. I find it funny that people are surprised to find a used car dealer with pushy sales tactics. I had a good experience, probably because I knew what I was looking for. The price was already fair on this car and I was still able to negotiated a deal. I brought a flashlight with me and looked over the van front to back, top to bottom. This was a great van with only minor issues. Do your research and buy a car you want not one you're pressured into. Thanks Mina, the family is quite happy with this purchase :)

These guys want you to put down $500 for a test drive and if you don't like the car, they keep it. Not to mention that the car is not safetied yet and they said that they'll only refund the deposit if there are mechanical issues that cannot be fixed by their mechanic (huge red flag) What if I don't like the car after the test drive? Too bad for you. Your $500 is gone. Don't only walk away from stealership, but actually RUN AWAY. Stay away! Slap a one star review and run. I visited them 3 months ago and the car I was interested in was priced $11995. For some reason though, the car is stil there but now its listed for $12995. Why? I'd understand if it was a premium/luxury car dealership where they ask for a deposit but this lot looks like every other used car lot plus they sell mainstream brands and actually, their lot makes you feel like in you're a junkyard. This deposit strategy makes no sense to the level of inventory they're selling. They want to secure their assets and thats how they want to do business. I understand but people will definitely be mad. Once again, don't bother with this stupid dealership. I'm surprised that they're still in business. I hate bashing businesses but this one deserves it.

They sold me a rental car with 20000$ plus in accident damages while they only told me it was one minor accident, they told me the car is certified yet the car was about fall apart, they are the lowest of the lowest I traded the car after 2 weeks 2000$ because they couldn’t fix it, while I paid them 8000$ a week before and they refused to buy it back. I wish I knew about omvic sooner. Very bad untrustworthy owner, full of lies. Stay way if you love your money.

Mina was very knowledgable and helpful - as were all of the staff. Fast service, took care of all of the paper work, certification and licensing. Wrong screws were used to mount the rear license plate, made it rattle on the 401 - Mina didn't do it, so I won't hold it against him. Would buy a vehicle here again for sure.

WORST customer service. Lance, our salesman was amazing, I deffiantly recommend him. The issue was with management. After 4 days of having the vehicle We noticed hissing and squeaking from the front tires. I had a personal mechanic look at it as I didn't trust the mechanics they have, which I'm glad I did. Especially signing off in a safety when it clearly has issues. I called to make an appointment and he said it would be a couple of days and has 5 different mechanics to take it to.. I have no idea how, it should be a quick fix. I wasn't waiting a couple of days, we had to wait a week for it to get certified. A manager then told me very rudely to bring it to my personal mechanic, uhh isn't that what the 36 day warranty is? No problem taking our money but takes a week to get it fixed, not a chance. So be careful with the safety and have it double checked. They try to make excuses and then get attitude when you let them know what's wrong, but apparently I should bring it somewhere else. WORST customer service. I wish we went with 401 Auto.

This dealership sold me a vehicle with a transmission issue. Late December 2016. I test drove the car before purchase and found a couple issues and wanted to come back another day to test drive again once those were fixed. They assured me once I purchased the vehicle it will then be fixed along with the e-test and certification. A week later I paid in full and had driven the car for a test drive again and found the problem still apparent. I brought this up with the manager (Said) and he found every excuse to dismiss the issue. I didn't bother waiting for Scarboro E. Auto's mechanic since they made me work around a time that was convenient for them. I took this into my mechanic and into the make's dealership (Nissan) and both confirmed it was a transmission issue.

Very rude, unprofessional dealership. Got there to have a look on a honda odyssey, which was advertised on auto traders in perfect condition. When i checked it, its power doors were not working, dvd player was broken, car was not clean and the person was not aware what is wrong with it but he was forcing me to finalize price with him, without even telling me whats wrong with doors and without letting me test drive. When i refused to offer any price with text driving, he started shouting at me and asked me to leave his dealership by telling me he get 20 customers everyday, he will sell this car to anyboday. I asked him i wanna speak to manager, and he didn’t let me and said manager is not here, he is the only one. His behaviour is not acceptable at all, as a consumer i will definitly take this matter to consumer court and bbb for harassment. Avoid this place at any cost

I came to the shop to originally buy a vw golf but against my rigid position, Mina (sales associate) made me see reason why it was prudent not to due to my current circumstances. They don't honor their warranty and over-charge you for everything. Compared to other dealerships they might be one of the better ones but don't buy from a dealership at all! they charge you $900 for a safety certificate and try to force you to buy a warranty. save yourself the time and money and put the $2k+ in the bank for the rainy days and just find a car yourself and have a mechanic check it before buying it. Don't fall for the dealerships scam.

tried to sell us a busted vehicle when we told them our budget was $2500, vehicle had holes through out body was missing a bumper and all four tires were flat. and they wanted $2100 for a 2001 chevrolet tracker. waste of time, I specifically ask before making the 1h30min trip if the vehicle was certified and if it had any major problems as the only picture was of the interior.

Just picked up a 2017 Honda Civic Touring from this place a couple days ago. This is the second car I bought from this place and they never disappoint. I was a bit worried about buying a car after not having one for so many years, and how many stuff could go wrong with the car, but the employees were very patient , especially Kumar. Kumar was very nice, and understanding, and he made sure to explain every detail about the car to make me feel comfortable. He also gave me time to make up my mind without pressure. I purchased a Toyota Yaris from Scarborough East Auto a few weeks ago and so far I absolutely love it and I haven't had any problems. When I first contacted the dealership to inquire about the vehicle, Jordan was very helpful over the phone and by the time I visited the lot he was able to give me his undivided attention. My boyfriend who is a heavy equipment mechanic took a look at a few cars and Jordan was very patient with him doing full inspections and was able to answer any questions we had. I wouldn't recommend this shop. They are dishonest. Cheating a lot. Be careful of these guys. You will regret. I spent $3,000 to fix a problem on a car which I paid $8,900. (the final price went up a lot, almost $12,000 ,after they put many other things) They sold me an unsafe car. It was a garbage. A week later I bought the car, I felt that my steering wheel was vibrate so badly. and I went back to the shop and the garbage manager told me that "It is natural that you bought a cheap car. that's why it is like this"

Amazing service and knowledge. Comming into the lot you'll see a large variety of Cars, SUV's and even a handful of Trucks all set at reasonable pricing related to their Odometer. At first I had walked in with my girlfriend just to look at a few cars and head out to the next lot dident plan on buying that day. I was approached by Kumar, one of the dealerships long time and experienced employees who went about to tell me more details on the cars as well as the prices and reasons each car may be beneficial for my use of it. After going through 5 or 6 cars Kumar and his boss (who's name I forget) pin pointed my car at the given Kilometers and price range I was looking for. They were straight forward on the details and aspects of the cars, wasent your usual dealership workers trying to tell you what you want to hear. I ended up walking out of that dealership with a down payment on the car and a smile on my face. From then it took a few emails, calls and texts. Now outside I have the perfect car to get me to work and enjoy all thanks to Scarboro East Auto LTD for helping me buy my first car. Thank you.

An year back , I had taken a Chevy Cruze from this same place , with 25 percent interest rate per year and with the sales men , never replied to any of my queries properly during the purchase time, they clearly knew that I was desperate for a car and played on it , atlast ended up buying from these dealers and within six month my car was written off due to fire from the hood, also note that I had done all the regular maintenance required, after buying this substandard car I was also asked to write a good review from the dealership itself before leaving the place , so I believe that some of the good reviews mentioned here are in the same manner.

One of the sleaziest dealerships I've ever come across. Never seen one demand a 500$ down payment for a test drive. (not a deposit). They told me they have no idea what the condition of the vehicles mechanically either. They told me that it would cost 800-1000$ for a safety certification and that it had to be done with their mechanic? (big red flag) Are you kidding me? I have bought dozens of vehicles over the years and NEVER have i come across one so blatantly trying to scam people or that requests these things. Seriously people don't waste your time coming to this place.

I would recommend them, but be sure to do your due diligence. Bought a Mazda 5 from them, service was good, Mina definitely applies the pressure ( This is his job and I don't have any issue with this ). Staff in general are helpful and courteous. Why only 3 stars then ? Simply put much of what I requested was never followed through and the onus was place on to enforce this ( I was made to drive 120+km every time anything went wrong ) I still have an engine light on ( Which to their credit they did fix twice - however both times it lasted no longer than a day ) the tires where shocking condition at best ( I have had to replace all 4 within 3 months ). They were really good to fix the Transmission that failed ( I won't mention the "loaner" I was given - shocking ) A car of this age is not expected to be perfect. And I understood this when I purchased it. I accept that these are issues I should have looked at before my purchase as this was a used vehicle. And this is why I am saying they are a great option. The car is going well now and I am happy with the purchase. I would indeed recommend them.

I had really nice experience with scarboro E auto, Silvana and Saeed sold me mazda cx7 with low mileage and the car is in a great condition. Some very minor things were resolved immediately and I had to bear no cost. I've 27 months of warranty on engine and transmission and 1 month guarantee for any fault which may pop up cuz old cars can't be treated as new. Every thing they committed, they stood by their words. The guy sells 40+ cars every month for goodness sake, I think he deserves a credit for that and a positive review.

Dishonest and sneaky. Left me financially scarred and with a vehicle that has not been in the slightest bit reliable. 3rd party warranty is a joke and their partner service centers that they force you to take your vehicle to for repairs and equally as unreliable. DO NOT go here. I was told there was a $690 charge for the safety, but what wasnt used to repair the vehicle would be refunded. It wasnt. Further more, the safety wasnt done properly and a tie rod end was needed after the vehicle was delivered. I negotiated $2600 for my trade in vehicle, when I questioned why the paper work said $2300, they claimed it was because that was the before tax price asnd after the difference in taxes it was $2600. It was all washed over with smiles and "trust me its right". I also negotiated a free 3rd party warranty, which I almost didnt get. I caught that before signing and it was added, but had I not have..... more or the warranty; I picked the vehicle up cert and etested. On my way home the check engine light came on [(code read Catalyst efficiency below threshold)...so how did it pass etest?], my steering was loose and there was a grinding sound on occasion. I complained, and Said offered to have it looked at. The garage changed the diff fluid (charged me half) and turned off the check engine light. They also told me the steering was loose due to a "bushing that needed adjustment"... nothing was fixed. I complained again and was assured the problem would be fixed. In fact I was told it would be covered completely (after much debate and being reminded of the 50/50 repair cost liabilty waiver ect). Car was taken to to AAmco where it was determined the transmission needed a rebuild. Siad offered a loaner car. The loaner was a disgusting, dirty beat up car without proper plates. They literally took the plates off my car and put them on one of the cars off their back lot (which resulted in being pulled over by police). When I picked up my vehicle from the transmission shop, I was then told I could not leave with my vehicle until I paid $525 (which i did not have). Said denied ever agreeing to cover the fee and I was forced to borrow the money. A few weeks later a transmission trouble code came up. AAmco at first refused my warranty stating that Said paid for the repairs and it was his name on the warranty. After a quick call to my paralegal, they ended up fixing it under warranty. A week later, the transmission overheated and left me stranded due to a faulty sensor. AAmco is refusing to replace it under warranty now. Any time I try to talk to Scarborough East Auto, I am fluffed off, my paralegal was met with an aggressive, chauvinistic approach and called names for being female. Any attempt to make the situation right left me feeling duped and taken advantage of. Said used smooth talking and pressure to divert my attention from the problem and offer a poor band aid solution. I would happily return the vehicle for my money back. It has not had a single week of reliable use, and I am not happy with the tactics used to make the sale, or the vehicle. If I had of know the vehicle was used for fleet/rental purposes, I would not have bought it, let alone the other troubles I have been forced to endure. Absolute minimum, I would like the remainder of the safety fee and the cost of the transmission re-manufacturing returned as I cannot even deal with AAmco for the warranty because it is controlled by Said. I have filed a complaint with OMVIC and will be filing in small claims court. I STRONGLY feel their license to sell used vehicles should be thoroughly reviewed.

As a woman buying a car can be sometimes intimidating but the guys made me feel at ease. Pish helped me out and was very honest about everything, from financing to car repairs. The car is awesome ended up doing so many roadtrips and hopefully more to come. Almost never have to take it in to the mechanics and even then its for oil changes. I had a pretty good experience here despite the fact I was unsure to begin with. Staff were very nice and friendly, not too pushy. Great selection of cars and ended up getting one I was quite happy with...good condition and low price. Ended up costing a lot more with additional fees though, including the $695 for certification which wasn't worth it in my opinion. The safety certificate I received was dated two days before I even looked at the car. The day after I bought the car I noticed that both headlights were out (not sure how it passed the safety without working headlights). I took it to the mechanic who certified it and he changed the bulbs free of charge. The next day I noticed one of the headlights was out again! I refused to take it back to this incompetent mechanic (who also tried up-selling my while I was there) and I ended up having to buy a bulb and change it myself!! We also didn't get any kind of report outlining the details of the certification, so I don't have much faith that the mechanic even actually safety checked the car, especially given he missed two burnt out headlights!! Save yourself the $695 and don't get it certified.

Bought a 2010 Subaru certified. Purchase and what not was pretty normal, but Mina is quite pushy about making a sale, I regret purchasing this car primarily because the tires are not proper for the vehicle (I would have purchased a similar car with matching tires..) They should not have passed safety being that they are not 4 evenly worn tires, 2 new in rear and 2 older tires in front. Had all 4 been older, or all 4 newer, it would not be an issue, the vehicle is a AWD. (this is what my local mechanic told me) This has me very nervous about what other items may have been overlooked for the mechanical. Upon seeing the car I noticed the tires were a miss match as well as the car had almost no oil left in it when I looked at it.. I brought it up, but was pressured into the purchase. Just beware of this before going to visit. They did put a 12 month warranty that cost me about 40$ to register (they didn't inform me of the fee until after purchase, which was dishonest) Being from out of town (Sudbury ON) I cannot easily drive back to make changes. Tires have cost me 400$, but again, what else might this vehicle need for mechanical? (Purchased April 14 2018) EDIT: In response to the dealer is find that these need to be mentioned: Front tires are lesser tread AND different make/model/tread pattern from the rear. My photos will show this. Front are PACEMARK SNOWTRAKKER (225/60R16 97) - Approx 5/32 tread Rear are HERCULES AVALANCHE X-TREME (225/60R16 98) - Approx 10/32 tread Upon my arrival, and before even driving the car, I said I don't want it. I believe it to have potential engine problems (Leaking oil and possible head gasket problems, a common trouble spot on Subaru 2.5L engine). The miss matched tires are bad on any AWD/4WD vehicle as it can hurt the drive train causing excess wear or unpredictable handling. Mina insisted I test drive the car. I thought OK, no problem (to the test drive). It should be noted that the car was placed in my name even before I had ever saw the car in person. Given that, I didn't know how to even proceed about cancelling the purchase of the car. I do appreciate the warranty as a solution the dealer provided for the possible engine/HG problems (as my research shows the cost is approx 1800-1900 from local shops). This still doesn't instill confidence in other aspects of ensuring vehicle safety - these items are in no way covered under any warranty. I admit, I was there for a long time, part to my visual inspection and testing heat/ac function, part of this was because I kept saying I wasn't comfortable with the car and Mina trying to offer things to make the sale go through. I even compared the purchase of the car as "running a red light" and seeing the red light enough in advance. The warranty and oil change were conditions to close the sale, however I was still complaining about the tires. The car sale is AS IS other than being certified, unless there is a separate warranty.. they have a paper they make you sign after the purchase. They simply dismissed nearly all of my concerns (as they still do in their response!). The oil change was a condition of sale, in which, Mina and I had back and forth after I paid because it cost the dealer 30$ he tried to insist that they would just top off the oil!! In the end he did come through on this condition of sale, nonetheless this back and forth adds to negativity in the whole experience, same as their response to my review making me feel that I am overly picky and that they were blindsided by this review. I always had the feeling that the dealer would not make right the tires, I have started shopping around. In Sudbury, I can purchase 2 Hercules Avalanche tires new (with 11/32 tread depth) for approx 400$ from Witrak (price includes tax and installation). I should mention that I had even discussed with the dealer that I'd gladly accept winter tires from the dealer (4 same make model and no more than 1/32 difference in tread between front/rear pairs). I do make a trip to GTA approx 1-2 times per year.

Dont buy here. Sold me a car that had a major accident and told me that its was a minor one. Asked $1000 just to test drive the car. We agreed on a price. After our sales goes to the managers office. They said the pricing was wrong and increased the price. They said the car had no problem when we signed for the purchase. After a day it broke down. They said that if i bring it to a different mechanic or delearship, they will not honor the warranty. When i told them about the problem, they told me to just avoid traffic and just stay in the office so that the car wont break down. After a week it broke down again and i can hear something is wrong with brakes. They didnt want to take the car after all the problems. Please dont buy here. Learn from my mistakes. Save your money, time and avoid headaches.

Had to edit my original post from good to bad. Bought this car last year. They charged me extra $650 to have Safety check. After I picked it up, the hood wouldn’t open. I paid $300 to get the hood latch repaired. How could u say u did a safety check if the hood couldn’t open? Liars. Then shocks went out within 3 weeks. There goes another $900 down the toilet. Wouldn’t recommend.

This dealership is absolutely unprofessional! I went there to look at vehicle and the sales guy Reuben did not even greet me nor my spouse in a professional manner. The conversation about the vehicle went decent. When we asked if we could take a test drive he told us we are not allowed to take one unless we were serious about a purchase. I mean would we be there if were not trying to buy a car? So anyway, eventually we told him we have been car shopping around and have one more car to look at before we made our final decision and right away Reuben started acting unprofessional again he pretty much just walked off and didn't even say bye. I looked past the rude unprofessional manner and still decided after I decided I didn't like the other vehicle I seen that I would call and schedule an appt to come see the vehicle and talk pricing. He was literally avoiding my car. The other sales reps would take my name and number and still no return. So I would say they are super unprofessional. Anyways based off these reviews I am glad I didn't go with these guys, they are horrible. On cars guru it says the car is being sold for 7,450 but when you get there they say it's 7,995. Weird.

This is an honest review . Avoid this place at ALL costs. the vehicles you purchase will definitely need repairs within a couple of months. I bought a 2004 vehicle and it needed repairs within 3 months. the engine light came on and never disappeared. I was advised by a mechanic that I should of reported them to the ministry of transportation for selling vehicles that are not in good driving condition. Also, when I went to put the final down-payment on the car they told me I took too long so I have to pay an additional 1000$ to replace the entire engine. I wish I read the negative reviews before I purchased my first car here, because I am here to reassure you that they are all true. I read them before writing this and I was shaking my head agreeing the entire time. SAVE YOUR MONEY, and take yourself somewhere else. you've been warned. have a great day.

I was greeted by Mina who showed me an MDX that was priced competitively and although had high mileage we worked out a favourable price that included a powertrain warranty and safety\e-test. They are also willing to help you with any issues after the sale. Mina was non-pressuring and I highly recommend to see him for your next purchase.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. They have their own mechanic shop so that being said, I HIGHLY suggest taking the car to the MTO to make sure it is properly certified, safetied and checked thoroughly. I've had this car for a year now, bought it at 15,000 including a 6month warrany that didn't cover anything and have spent about $8,000-10,000 in just repairs alone. I should have known I made a mistake the second I drove the car off the lot and the engine light came on.!

called about a car i saw online. said it was okay to stop by and take a look. Dan called back not even 10 min later and said he wanted to get paperwork ready. i had mentioned to him that i want to see the car first. apparently the owners daughter had it and it was not on the lot. i asked if the car would be there later that night to which he quickly said NO. (4 hour notice). didnt even TRY to have the car there seems sketchy!! had everything went as well with the car as Dan claimed, my husband and i would have put a deposit tonight. Dan was rude.. and def lost a sale! -------------------update------------------------------------@ 3:28pm------------- called by the dealership just to tell me Dan was new, and apologised on his behalf. briefly discussed the car... and asked if i was still interested. didn't take long before i was asked to remove my review until i visited. i advised the gentleman that after i visit, i will remove the review based on the meeting. that clearly didn't satisfy him. ~a customer doesnt have to "Step foot" into a dealership to find out how they are. based on the phone conversation, it already was not headed in the right direction. hence why i left the "straight to the point" review. unfortunately, after reading your response..i see your dealership has a hard time accepting any feedback on the negative side. you're very quick to respond about how its not your fault and have pointed fingers at other shops. take it for what it is! if a customer is unhappy.. they're unhappy. its not slander. its exactly what took place. you have a trend of accusing everyone with slander!! i have reviewed two dealerships. thank you for noticing. your dealership now being the 3rd. perhaps its my fault for choosing the dealerships i did. but atleast they didnt call the customer JUST to take the review down. I had a very strange test drive experience here, similar to some of the other comments I read about this place. My wife had been to look at a Kia Rondo and liked it, so we both went back to test drive it. Mina told us we could only test drive it if we were, in his words, "going to do business today." We were honest with him and said we were very close to buying (we had looked at a few cars and test driven one at another dealer) but weren't ready to buy immediately after the test drive. He told us to come back another day when we were ready to buy - basically showed us the door. Well, Mina, we won't be back - ever.

They took my $1,000 and never gave it back. Showed me a wrong carfax and made me sign for a wrong car. Later on, when I discovered the lie and asked for the carfax and VIN number of the car I chose, they finally gave it to me and told me they made a mistake; the car had such a bad front side accident. This is the new thing they are doing. They show you one car and show you a carfax for a similar car and get you to sign to buy the broken down car. Read the other reviews posted here. Do not trust this dealership, they are dishonest. UPDATE- IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: Please read my previous review above. The owner responded with lies. I can't find a button that allows me posting of reading material or photos, then I could post the carfaxes and this owner would not get a chance to cover up his crime and mislead innocent customers. Please contact me directly if you wish to see the 2 carfaxes, I am more than happy to share, if it will save someone from the same trouble. The real carfax of the car in question, has multiple front side accidents. This is the truth. They have done this to so many people in the past few weeks. Do not deal with this company. Many of their 5 star reviews are fake and not from real customers. I have reported this company to OMVIC and they are under investigation.

I bought a car to Scarborouhg east auto, the owner mina is the name I think so, he promised many thinks that wasn’t true, 1 )full Gas, False 2)Insurance for engine and automatic transmission for 6 month free! , the insurance company called me that I had to pay to activate it, another lie, 3) I couldn't test the car,, their plays very smart, I though I could trust on those guy, 4) the A/c was broken after 5 month and there is not guaranty because those guys let you down the stars and the sky to sell, once they sell and call for claims they are angry tigers, calling you ignorant that you don't read it and check what you buy ❌I do not recommend this dealer, they are bad things, they play with honesty, and they are there not to help if not to scam people, do not buy cars there

Not to be trusted! They will tell you everything under the sun to get your money! I left a deposit that was conditional of my purchase and was told it was refundable if no deal was made...No deal was made and my deposit has not been returned as promised! They will try a good cop bad cop routine if they feel a deal is going south. I am a good judge of character and these individuals are not trustworthy at all! Their financing is not easy at all and they will say “but we have a pre-approval for you” that really means nothing at all. If the bank says no then it’s no... Do not buy from these clowns!

I bought a used 2012 Nissan Altima from this store. Good price, good car condition, excellent services. The dealer called me for pick-up while everything was ready, including plates, safety test etc. That's amazing! As a new driver I was kept worrying about such trouble stuff... But he had everything done for me! They really stand by your side. They cleaned my car thoroughly - literally inside out before I picked up the car, gave detailed instructions, offered good warranty packages, and most importantly, they treated their customers with kindness, care and patient. I would say that's exactly the way to run a business and probably the key of this 30-year store. Would recommend it to my friends looking for cars, a BIG 5 stars! : )

Lance is a good salesman. He wasn't pushy and he's very helpful. I got a good deal on a 2009 Acura RDX. He was able to knock off a few hundred dollars which I am grateful for. I purchased the car as is and it only needed wiper blades and headlight cleaning for certification. For basic maintenance, the engine oil, engine oil filter, air filter and spark plugs needed changing. I'm overall satisfied with the vehicle and would recommend that you deal with Lance for speedy hassle-free service.

I dealt with Lance and I appreciate that he was able to get me financing in my situation through the bank and into the car I wanted. He was very responsive to all my inquiries however... Reason for 3 star and not 5: 1. I specifically asked if there were 2 keys for the vehicle and was told “yes” the “K2” listed on the key tag meant there were 2 keys. After signing all paper work and when it was time to hand the keys to me I was then told that they were unable to locate the second key and it would cost me $60 to get a 2nd key cut without the fob and if I wanted the fob it would be more. They would still try to locate the 2nd key but couldn’t make any promises. The keyless entry code was not provided and not in the vehicle and the 2nd key is needed to find the original keyless code for the vehicle. Alternative is to go to Ford and spend more money. Extremely disappointed about this as the keyless entry is one of the things that attracted me to this Ford vehicle. 2. The car was dirty with salt stains on the carpet and I was told that it would come to me in like new condition. I had specifically inquired about this. When I got the car it was not cleaned and I was told that “they” did not authorize it. I assume “they” refers to management. Lance did clean the tires himself but the wheels and interior were dirty. 3. I was charged an additional $90 for fuel and transfer(?) but the tank was just above half full. This was not discussed as part of the down payment we had discussed so this was a surprise charge. I feel that for the $15K in financing the very least they could have done was clean the car as promised and cut me a 2nd key. I drove away feeling sad instead of excited about receiving my new vehicle. These aren’t major things but it definitely wasn’t a 5* experience due to these factors. If I bought a 3K vehicle I would have lowered expectations but at $15K I think they could have done a bit better and delivered as promised. If they misplaced the 2nd key then they should cover the cost to replace it. I feel like I was dismissed and these items were just brushed off because I had already signed.

I went to Scarborough E Auto, May of 2015. The salesman was very helpful & came out the office right away to answer my questions. I ended up purchasing a car about 2 weeks later, when I went to pick up the car and drove it off the lot, I didn't even drive 10km and there is a burning smell and smoke coming from the hood. Long story short, it ended up being the head gasket!!! I had to end up spending $200 to rent a car to get to work. However, Scarb E Auto took care of the repairs at their local mechanic and I got the car back about 3 days later. FAST FORWARD..........Sep.29/2016...... 1) The car is leaking on the passenger side (after a heavy rainfall I have to scoop the water out with a cup) 2)The car shakes every time I brake 3)The check engine light came on about 2 days ago & when I brought it to my mechanic ....over 15 codes came up!!!! ***My mechanic suspects that the car was probably a flooded vehicle that they cleaned up and resold. (*Just to note: I am a very careful female driver, I am in my 30's and I have been driving since i was 16 & I am accident free and I have always maintained my vehicle.....so it's not the way I'm driving.....IT'S THE VEHICLE!!!) I'm just trying to help anyone that's thinking of buying a used car....research and do your homework and if you have a bad feeling about the dealership or they are being too pushy......DON'T BUY FROM THEM, NO MATTER HOW LONG THEY'VE BEEN IN BUSINESS!!!! I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM SCARBOROUGH E AUTO AND CERTAINLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE!!

I bought a car from here a few months back and have been having issues like crazy, they talk a good polite game until they've sold you. Once you've paid them and taken the car you aren't important enough anymore. They don't stand by their product and couldn't care less about you as a person. All their positive reviews are FAKE, even their company name uses keyword stuffing as their company name isn't Used Cars Toronto. The only real reviews on here are the negative ones. Stay away from this company.

I bought Camry 2011 model from these people in June 2019. (This is genuine review :-). Just that I couldn't get write the review that time) My sales person was Lance Newton and he is so professional and so friendly too. I was getting a competitive price for this model so I went to have a look. Car was in good condition, just that I could not go for a test drive on the same day. I visited again but to test drive the vehicle, we need to deposit the amount (this can be avoided). I paid the deposit/advance, took the vehicle for test drive. As I like it, I booked it immediately. All the process went very smooth with no hassles to mention. Could have got for some bucks less, but not a complain there. 6 months now and the vehicle is going smooth without any issues. Only thing that I had to go for a tire change (not because of winter). I remember, Lance told that they had a new looking tires. But these tires worn out in just less than 5 months (less than 5K kms). My vehicle starting shaking from all tires and when I visited the servicing center, I was asked to change the tires. With winter coming in just few more days, I went with winter tires. I have to buy all season tires in spring again :-(. That is the reason for 4 star.

I came to purchase a 2010 mercedes e class in early dec of 2018. Did not allow a test drive, insisted we go over finances before a test drive. Upon going to the lot I had to wait for 15 minutes before someone was available to talk to. I was met by an unprofessional salesman who looked 18 years old with dirty baggy jeans, long greasy unkept hair and wild facial hair. The whole time slouching(extremely unprofessional).As it turned out he was the salesman. He immediately led me inside their trailer. When we got inside he started asking me what i do for a living and told me that he hated his job there and needed to find a new one and asked me if my company was hiring. I asked him about taking it for a testdrive since i spoke with him earlier before coming to the lot. He had told me on the phone it would be ready for a test drive but it was not. He then began his extremely aggressive sales tactics, literally insulted my appearance then proceeded to tell me that I needed to put a 500$ deposit down to test drive. (Good luck trying to get your money back!)Then told me that they charge 700$ for a certification! What a joke. There are dozens of mechanics that do this for under 100$. When i told him i was not interested he literally followed me to my car and began hurling insults at me telling me that I was a bum as I drove away. I've never seen such incredible unprofessionalism in my life. It is a wonder to me how a place like this is still in business.

They are so reluctant to let you test drive a vehicle even when you're clearly show interest in buying the car. Also they try to get you pay $500 deposit to test drive a vehicle? Are you kidding me? Why would you pay to test drive a vehicle? This is NOT a standard practise anywhere. The whole point of test drive is to TEST the vehicle guys, don't be stupid. Also they try to tell you to buy a vehicle without safety as it supposedly will cost you less but I think in reality they are trying to cover up some car issues... otherwise why be so pushy and not tell all the details, like which parts exactly do have been replaced after accidents (I'm pretty sure by law you are required to disclose this info)? My friend also went there last week and had a very similar experience! Also they say they don't buy auction cars ever... in the meanwhile he found auction envelopes on the guy's desk... go figure... I would honestly not trust these guys at all! Or do so at your own risk - you have been warned!

Approximately 2 years ago my Aunt purchased a Honda Pilot at Scarboro East Auto, there was some strange code issue with her stereo sometime after, which the dealership rectified quickly at no added cost, she continues to be happy with her purchase. In 2016 I needed a vehicle after moving to Oshawa. In December my father found a fair priced Honda Odyssey online. To my surprise we ended at the same dealership speaking to the same helpful person who sold my Auntie her Honda Pilot. Mina (the salesperson who helped us both times) did not pressure us to make the sale, I could sense his genuine wish to get his customers into the right car for them as buying a used vehicle can be uneasy especially for ladies who are not very mechanically inclined :) Mina and the Scarboro east team helped us make a good decision both times. The purchase was efficient and easy and included all the necessary papers including the vans full history, registration, plates, emissions and safety completed by Mina who did all the running around. They referred me to a good place for rotating summer/winter tires. I feel happy and safe in my Van. It was a big deal to me as I have not driven since 2011 after a scary accident. Than you Scarboro East Auto especially Mina for being honest helpful and going the extra mile.
