My wife and I found ourselves in a bad situation while traveling from Wisconsin to Toronto. We stayed the in Sault Ste.Marie on the Canadian side when our almost new F150 wouldn’t start. We asked at the front desk at the hotel for a good Ford Dealer in the area and they recommended Highland Ford. Highland diagnosed (bad starter) and had it replaced within two hours. All under warranty too! Special thanks to Mike Turco, Dan the mechanic and the whole team for being very friendly, very professional and most helpful. My wife and I were able to get back to our vacation almost immediately with fond memories of great service.

Not so impressed with the last service. After all these months with phone issues, the phone is working(for now) but the radio doesn't work properly now. Also very disappointed in how my car was returned to me. If you need to move things in a vehicle...put them back when you are done or have the curtesy to tell your customers what you did and why. Otherwise is looks like you were using my car.

Pretty much all good as usual. Fastlane at opening so in the door quickly. Quality of service excellent as always. Single complaint: I was told about 20 minutes but after aboutique an hour I had to go looking for my truck. Overall though 5 star excellent.

Very pricey and questionable work. My truck was redone and repainted there to the tune of $10,000 and less than a year later there were rust spots coming through that they would not do anything about. Obviously the body work was of poor quality. A good place to stay away from, especially since Mr. Smyl took over. Filthy rich people with an attitude and too much money are often not the best people to deal with. The last time I went in there looking for my 4th new truck I was standing around for twenty minutes and never got the time of day. I bought three new trucks and a couple of other used vehicles there in the past, but never again. By going for a ride to southern Ontario you can save at least $5000.00 over their best deal. That's no chump change.

This dealership went out of their way to accommodate us to bring my truck into their service shop as it was being driven across Ontario. The highway between Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay is pretty barren and challenging. An error code came up before my truck got to the Sault. I called ahead and they said to send it in (it was being driven by a friend) and they would see what they could do despite being overly busy already. They took my truck in and dealt with the error code and my truck made it back to Thunder Bay. Theresa in their service department was absolutely fabulous and pleasant to deal with! Their technicians are awesome! I highly recommend this dealership.

Experience 1) I had a sale experience where I felt pressured, the sale needed to be instant, and I ended up purchasing a vehicle that I regret getting. I was left with buyers remorse and I practically resent my vehicle. Experience 2) When I brought my SUV in to fix the slow leak, they didn't do a proper plug patch repair and I had to have their repair, repaired. Also, as told by a trusted mechanic, they should have not done the repair as the two punctures were closer than 6 inches apart. To top it off, the Tires For Life is the most useless incentive ever. Do you research. Think about it, how often do you need new tires? The program only covers regular wear and tear.. it does not cover road hazards such as nails, potholes, etc. which let's face it, in this city is where the most wear and tear comes from. My tire currently has 5 holes in it, so I'll have to fork over more money towards this vehicle when I had hoped at least that little piece of mind was covered with this program. NOPE. I should have kept my used car and purchased winter tires 3-years ago instead of doubling my bill with an incentive I can't even use for years and years to come. Experience 3) A couple years later I looked into trading my vehicle in for something more affordable and potentially, purchase another vehicle if it fit within the budget. I gave my budget and vehicle preferences and the salesperson worked on it. When the time came to check out the options they had, the numbers didn't make sense and in the end I had to walk away from the find. I was not comfortable with it, however, the sales person's attitude was anything but understanding and almost resentful towards my decision. My first 2 vehicles (ever) were purchased with Highland Ford. My future vehicles will not be.. they have lost me and my husband as customers. We are now looking into other dealerships.

I purchased a 2006 Ford Expedition in the GTA and a couple of days later headed out west with my wife to Alberta to see our son graduate from Burman University. The expedition started an engine miss every now and then but it progressively got worse. I brought my own code scanner and found a miss fire on cylinder number 4. I called a few of the dealers around Espanola and could not get an appointment till the next day. I called Highland Ford and spoke to Justin. I explained our situation and told him we were on a tight timeline to make it to my son's grad in time. He said to drive it in and he would have someone look at it. Sputtering along till we made it to Highland Ford and met up with Justin and he took us right in. He had Dan the mechanic come out and scan the vehicle and took it in to the shop. I grew up in the auto industry and am reasonably familiar with the goings on under the hood. I have to say that this was the first time I have ever seen a service dept talk straight and level with you. Justin was a gentleman and Dan went the extra mile with his work. Both were a pleasure to do business with! In the end the problem was fixed and I was charged a reasonable amount. I got a call down the road from Justin to see if we had made it along ok. Great job guys and thanks! If I lived in the area I would certainly do business with Highland Ford again. Keep up the good work!

Usually very content. Today disappointed. 4 pin trailer hookup not working when I arrived last Tuesday. Brought it back Friday as still not working. Monday went to hook up trailer no lights working still. Brought it back. Worked on it. Went to pick up Tuesday as told it was ready to go , brought LED tester from our garage , still not working. They brought it back in and found 4 pin was not working. Discovered loose Ground wire and told me there tester did not pick it up. Something wrong with there tester when my 4.99 tester from Canadian Tire picked it up. One hour later on my way with 4 pin plug working again.

I did not feel good when I left , I am not liking the tires for life deal because now that I understand more about it , it does not apply to me . I have been a loyal customer to highland ford over the years and as my history shows I will never use the tires for life promotion . On my last oil change , I paid a 60.00 dollar fee that when I thought about it after should not have been charged too me . The sales person was doing his job but I felt I was pushed into the balance fee because it would void my tires for life . I mean let's face it Ithe tires for life is pretty much a scam , I do love my ford but I will be reconsidering when I am ready for a purchase of a new truck in a couple of years . Help me love my highland ford again , because at this point I will be shopping next time when it comes to rebates on my vehicle . Thank you Mike Shell

I like Highland because they are 100% locally owned. Maitland is owned by an auto group from the GTA. If you want your money to stay local buy at Highland not Maitland. Keep your money in the Soo. Same goes for Superior Chrysler and Nissan. They are also 100% owned by an auto group from out West.

They put in work to get me into the truck that I wanted, at the same time and doing everything in they're power to meet the price point I wanted. You have some pretty shady employees working for you up there at Highland for. One of your workers for example has had multiple reports on him for trying do run over people on bikes. You should re-evaluate who you have working in your company. A police report has already been filed against him. For safety purposes I will not disclose his name on here. My car had some lights pop up while driving across Ontario and they were able to scan my car to find out why. The lights were on for a day then shut off after I turned the car on after I got there of course. It wasn't an urgent matter to fix so I was able to be checked and on my way. BEWARE...BEWARE...BEWARE...I will NEVER trust their pricing again after their Quicklane Service tried to charge me double!! Although I had heard negative things, I have dealt with Highland Ford and their Quicklane Service for the last 8 years and was content...until this year. When I called the Highland Ford Quicklane Service, they made an appt and when I showed up, they said I had no appointment (I thought it was odd that I asked "don't you want my name" when making the appt). They took the vehicle anyways and when I picked up, tried to CHARGE ME ALMOST DOUBLE!!! When I spoke up and asked about the pricing, the individual (believe it is the new manager) first mentioned an even higher price, then put in the right price ($78.) with no apology. I asked why he tried to charge me $130, I was told "miscommunication". Really? Miscommunication trying to charge customers double, then raising the price again before putting in the right amount. I went over and reported to Highland Ford service manager Justin (highland Ford owns this Quicklane). I also wrote to the dealership owner and informed Highland Ford on their "follow up call to rate the service". Guess what I have heard back from the owner or dealership...NOTHING!! I will NEVER buy a vehicle here as they clearly dont appear concerned with customer feedback or their own people attempting to charge customers double for service so what does that say about their pricing? Buyer BEWARE...I now believe what others have told me....I CAN'T recommend them as I no longer trust them or their prices!!!

On The morning of July 16, 2019 my wife and I were going to start our 1500 mile journey west, to go back home. When I started my '15 F150 I heard noises. The truck needed an oil change so I pulled into Highland Ford where they got me in within minutes. I mentioned the noise, and upon completion of my oil change was informed my water pump had failed. They had the part in stock and had us on the road before lunch. Our dogs even enjoyed treats from the staff, and we felt welcomed as they made repairs. Absolutely fantastic job to Chris and the rest of them in service who helped us. This is the type of place I would buy a vehice from???? Much thanks to everyone at Highland Ford!

Quick service for oil change. Had a piece on the interior break off and despite warranty I would have to pay a $100 deductible for a 150 dollar fix. Kind of defeats the idea of a warranty. A deductible, I might add, that was never mentioned when we purchased the warranty.

I had my winter tires and rims installed last week. Great service. On a road trip the "tire pressure sensor fault" came on. Causing me to check my tire pressure in extremely cold weather - they were OK. When I brought it back in they took me immediately and determined that they missed some step in the procedure when installing my winter tires No big deal.

Hit and miss place. Lately it's been mostly miss though. Wish they had more people with Theresa's friendliness and service minded attitude. The manager Justin in service is not interested in customer service and completely unapologetic. Last three times my vehicle has been in for oil change and/or switching wheels it has taken them a minimum of 4 hours to get it done! And that is with having a time slot booked. I don't care if you call it check-in time or appointment or what, if I as a customer book a time I do so with the impression that it means something, that my vehicle will be attended to somewhat soon after it has been brought in. Last time it took them over 5 hours!! That is unacceptable. I need new brakes on my vehicle and they quoted me over 800 for the parts, if I buy them myself from a Canadian company, exact same part numbers and all, I pay 400. That wasn't including the labour, only parts.They are trying to rip you off! And no explanation or willingness to work with you when I called them out on it. Sorry Highland, I've been a customer for 4 years, but I'm done giving you extra chances now. You're not worth it and I'll let Ford Canada know as well.

I brought my 2015 ford 4x4supercrew Xtr in to get the motor changed...the service guy told me the bill will be $7980.20 final price our the door...huh...lol...my bill turns out to be over $11,500...now tell me., is that fair??? Fantastic service. My personal diagnosis gave a code Saying a throttle problem. Dealship confirmed it. Repair would have been 400 but Tony checked the system and my part was warranted for 10 years.
