I've had my car for about 2.5 years now, I've put around 12,000km's on it in that time. About 6 weeks after buying it, it was making a terrible squealing noise whenever I was in reverse. Took it in to the Progressive shop, and the mechanic said "oh, all Mazda SUV's do that, the car was built too heavy for the back axle". Took it to the Mazda dealership a couple weeks later, was told my car didn't have any brakes on the rear wheels, the pads were gone and the brake drums were corroded and the car should have never passed a safety. On top of that, they noted there was an engine oil leak, 3 unfixed recalls (2 were for the airbags), a clogged oil filter, a ripped coolant hose, loose bearings in the air compressor, and my tires were about the explode they were so old (I was told by Progressive salesman the tires were in "great" shape, it was something I specifically asked about). There was also an unnatural corrosion pattern happening on the tailgate, and it took 3 months to get a claim filed with the Rust and Paint protection plan Progressive threw onto my car payment to fix it. It was my first time buying a car, and just assumed given the reputation Progressive had they wouldn't be selling such an out of shape car without an "As Is" sticker on it. Now after 2.5 years, the driveshaft broke disabling my AWD, there was some electrical circuitry corrosion which disabled my power tailgate and blindspot monitors, none of the power outlets in the vehicle work, and the transmission's 5th gear has stopped working so there's an outrageous engine shudder whenever I drive between 40-70km. The car now costs more to fix than it is worth, and it's not even paid off yet and it basically has no resale value because of everything wrong with it. It was my first car, told them what I needed in a vehicle and they suggested this one, and it has now turned into the biggest regret of my life. They value quantity over quality, and the secretary was very optimistic the lot manager and salesman would help me out, and they never returned any phone calls in the first couple months of having the car when I first started having issues. If you do buy a vehicle through them, buy any and all extended warranties they offer you, you will definitely need them when your car craps out on you after less than 3 years. :(

Bought my first car here with little hassle. A few things have gone wrong with the car since purchasing last month. Like the check engine light has came on (a computer issue with the engine covered under my warranty thank goodness.) and had issues getting the licence plate screwed onto the back of the car.. but I feel confident with my purchase of a 2010 Mazda5. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Poor customer service and overpriced vehicles. Got a vehicle from here and have had nothing but problems and they are telling me I'm 2 months behind on payments but they are paid on the same day we very time with proof so they are f**king my credit scores core trap you into the contract.

Found a lovely 2017 VW Beetle on the lot on a Saturday just before close. Pat was awesome and let us test drive it and spent some time with us talking about the car even though he was no longer on the clock. Didn't get as much for my trade as I had hoped but that's the way it goes. During the sale, everyone was very nice and professional. The reason they didn't get five stars is because the front floor mats were missing; they didn't say anything about it and I didn't notice until I got home. I stopped back the next day to pick up the mats because I assumed they were just set aside from when the car was detailed, but I was then told that the car came in without the mats and that there was nothing they could do about it. Patrick did later offer me mats from another Beetle that came in, but they didn't quite match the car.... So, it turns out Weathertech car mats are built to form fit your car, are very durable and easy to clean, and though expensive, they are were still half the price of new Volkswagen mats from a dealer.

Bob was great very friendly knowledgeable worked with me well the girl at the front desk was rude and the comments are unacceptable almost wanted to go somewhere else dye to you Bob saved the sale. if you want repeat customer follow bobs lead. will update later still have to go back one more time. the biggest problem is don't judge a book by it's cover. today I have had to take my viechle in to have something's fixed today July 9/21. the lady at front desk was very helpful and polite thank you. this time there was no judgement and it was a very good visit so far. I went to the service and the gentleman at the front desk was very polite and informative. will update when I get my truck back.

My sister got stuck on the other side of the US border headed into Canada, after many hours waiting for CAA she finally was brought to this auto shop. The staff were so helpful and extremely kind. Our vehicle was brought in after hours the night before but fixed by 9:00 am the next day. We couldn't be more greatful for the quality and care that this auto shop provided!

I really do not know what to say about progressive, In my opinion they kinda seem like wolves in sheeps clothing, the experience overall was pretty good, however we waited an extra week for brand new tires etc, and here we are not even a year and have had to call a tow truck twice and now have to buy 3 new tires tomorrow, not only that but there are faults in the electronics, the gas is leaking, and our car is a 2018 with only 40 000 kms on it when we got it, i think we were mislead as this was not the car we originally wanted, but the salesman made it sound so good, i think the car was made to look real nice but had a lot of underlying problems we were not told about, we totally regret buying from progressive, and therefore We cannot recommend them!!! We learned not to take a salesman at their word, and always do your own investigations!!

I had an issue with a particular salesman who's name I will not say. We purchased a vehicle from here with around 20,000 km on it so no issues with the actual car. They sell a rust and corrosion application that consists of a rubber undercoating and a wax application. We agreed that only the wax would be applied to the vehicle for a discount price and it would still include the warranty. Well when we got the car home I looked under the car and found they had applied the rubber undercoating as well. I called up the salesman who said give me a day to think about it and il call back. He never called back. When I called him back his compensation was to bring the vehicle back for a refund, give the money back for the rust protection but loose the warranty, or leave it how it is. Even though they PERMANENTLY DAMAGED the vehicle with something I didn't want on the vehicle there solution involved them loosing no money on this even though they royally screwed up. He blamed it on a miscommunication issue. He also did not know that you need both applications for the rust waranty to be valid so he also sold it to me under false information. This was the whole reason I bought the warranty. I even asked if I could get a discount on another vehicle because I'm currently looking for another vehicle . Again NOPE they want to loose nothing on there screw up THEY DONT CARE! Recently a deer struck the passenger side of the vehicle, after the body work was complete that side of the car had to be resprsyed for the rust waranty to be valid. I again spoke to the same salesman. I told him specifically that the right side of the car needs to be resprsyed he told me he noted it and everything is good to go. I dropped the keys off and went to work. Shortly after they opened I called them to confirm the details of why the vehicle was there. I spoke to a different salesman who said the other salesman wrote the LEFT SIDE is the side needing to be resprsyed. This salesman needs to pay more attention because that was 2 out of 2 times there was a "miscommunication" I really wanted a positive relationship with this delar. On top of this SUV I bought I'm currently in the market for a new truck. But when my vehicle is permanently damaged by something I didn't want applied when what we agreed upon wouldn't have even offered a waranty to it and no reasonable compensation is offered i will take my business elsewhere. I would have been happy with a little bit off a truck from there lot but unfortunately they didn't seem to want to make it right. Because of this you lost a second sale and any sale to my family in the future

Pleasant employees for the most part and they are willing to let you try lots of vehicles before you buy. They did mislead me about the "ready" condition of the vehicle though. They told me new brakes were installed when I drove it off the lot and then 4 months later I had to replace every brake and rotor to the tune of about $1200.

They will not negotiate with you on the price! The people are knowledgeable and will let you take the cars out for a test drive. Most of the cars need work but they will fix it before they hand it to you if you tell them of the problem first.

We test drove the cars and decided on one we really liked, and we were able to take it home within a week. The whole process was painless and actually quite enjoyable. I am located out of town and called to take a look at a RAM 1500 eco diesel on their lot. I made an appointment for that afternoon to take it for a test drive. When I arrived, Pete was assisting me. They evaluated my trade in while I was out for a test drive. Upon returning, we ran some numbers, Pete answered all my questions and addressed a concern that I had in regards to a detail on the car fax. He went out of his way to contact the dealership in which it was serviced to inquire about it. I was satisfied with the response. They gave me a fair trade in value for my van and the truck was price appropriately. I agreed to go ahead and purchase the truck. There was a minor hiccup with transferring ownership beyond their control however, it was communicated clearly and dealt with promptly the following business day. this delarship sells nice vechiles and kris is a great sales man he treats his coustomer's right I say if you are looking to buy a vechile check out there website or take a drive around the lot and make sure to ask for Chris if you want to buy a vechile.just hope the vechile you buy does not need much work because if you do it will be a thew days for the service department to safety and e test it.

Being in the market for a vehicle I gave them a call and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Bob. He seemed courteous and knowledgeable, while at the same time mentioning that the prices of their vehicles are firm and I should save myself the trip (over an hour drive) if I was not going to be paying listed price. Ultimately I did not move forward with the purchse due to a separate issue, however did notice that the price of the vehicle which I was interested in, has since been reduced from $25,995 to $24,995, which means that they have wiggle room. Bottom line; even if they tell you otherwise, make an effort in negotiating a better price.

Found out 2 months later that the vehicle was from Quebec and had been in an accident. NO CARFAX ... was obviously BULLSHIT. Would not have bought the car if I had known that. STAY AWAY !

Recently financed a car from progressive. I purchased a warranty as well with the vehicle which seems to be a complete waste of $1000.00 dollars, not to mention I’ve only owned the vehicle for 2 months, put maybe 1500 km on the vehicle. Vehicle was sold with broken drivers side mirror controls, Rear view camera broken, and the third tail light was leaking water into the vehicle. I also had to take the vehicle to another mechanic to have the ball joint reseated as progressives mechanic was satisfied with the ball joint not being seated properly. I’ve also had to pay to have the front and rear differential fluid changed which needed to be done as soon as I purchased the vehicle. So from the diff fluid and the leaking tail light I’m already almost $600.00 out of pocket. As none of that was covered by the warranty. Only another Almost 5 years to go on my contract. Woohoo! ???? If I could give zero stars I would.

Pat is "THE MAN"!!! Super nice guy that was very informative about every question I threw at him. Everyone was pleasant, the dealership was spotless (yes I look for that) and I got EXACTLY what I purchased... a kickass vehicle, extended warranty, and new tinted windows...they even washed my old plates before putting them on. I drove away with a lil mazda over a year ago. Con: will not negotiate price. Pro: they fixed the brakes and tires and such for the safety. Pro: with my credit they were able to find a finance company for me. It has been a solid car, have replaced the rear brake pads and a few oil changes all done through friends. put on a bunch of miles and am going strong. Overall the pricing was a smidgen to high, but I walked in and drove out when I needed it. Thankyou

Hubby and I really needed a new car, mine had died at a funeral home. A very difficult day to say the lease. We had been to visit car three times. Loved the car, but Pat (who is wonerful)i would not test drive a car there(we have live in Sarnia and we are 57 and .58,,,,it was a tense situation) pat insisted on coming, even though they had our id. Didnt leave a great taste in our mouths. Although, we went into your store for the second time, bound an determined to get this car Hubby and I requested to test drive a car. "UNREAL! WORST DEALERSHIP I'VE EVER DEALT WITH OR HEARD OF!!!" - Josh n First off. I bought a vehicle in May of 2017. I traveled 4 hours and I told the dealership I had to travel this far? I asked the salesman if the car was fully detailed and all fluids topped up etc? After 1 week of driving car I noticed wheel shaking and brakes screaming when applied. I called them. They said give it time thats all it may be a hard spot in the rotors? I said ok? Wait two weeks it gets worse. I call them and tell them it needs to be looked at and they tell me to bring it to a garage. I do and find out the rotors are warped. I tell them this they tell me they can't do anything I have to deal with the place they got the aftermarket rotors from???? I don't get to use my new/used car for over a month and a half with no compensation from Progressive Auto Sales and no help??? THEN!!! 2 months later I get them they go on and I'm still having the same problems I ask someone at progressive auto sales what I'm supposed to do? They tell me it's out of there hands now it's not a Chrysler part? WOW!!! REALLY PROGRESSIVE AUTO SALES??? Now another 2 months later. My car starts to overheat? I look in Coolant bottle. BONE!!! DRY AND I take it in to a real dealership in being a (Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership) They tell me the coolant has to be specific colour and it's the totally wrong colour of coolant basically baked on to plastic coolant bottle?> I call Progressive autosales to speak with Roger. He tells me they don't have any write up of mechanic checking Coolant fluids there for it's not there fault thats not part of the safety??? Excuse me you sell a car and don't make sure the proper fluids and all are in it??? THANKS PROGRESSIVE AUTO SALES AND ROGER!!!... I'll make sure I let absolutely everyone I know about my dealings with Progressive Auto Sales and Roger!!! STAY AWAY FROM THERE AND READ ALL THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS LIKE THIS ABOUT THEM... WOW!!!!!!!!!!! IS THE ONLY WORD I CAN THINK OF TO END THIS REVIEW..

I have had such a great experience at Progressive. Just purchased my second vehicle through them and Pat went out of his way to find the right car for me. He literally called me when it came of the truck because he KNEW what I was looking for. He got my interest lowered and then Justin went the extra mile in securing an even lower interest rate for me last minute . HIGHLY recomend Pat!!

For the people that give this place a bad review because they don’t haggle. When I bought my 2 trucks there the same truck at Lambton ford was 5k more with 10000 more Km’s. so Lambton might have haggled down 3k but it would have still been 2k to much. Progressive prices the vehicles where they have to sell them. They have a lot of employees. Huge selection, big overhead. Just look on there site at a vehicle. Then go to auto trader and look for same vehicle. I guarantee this place will be 3k cheaper. They make money by selling vehicles. Not storing them. Just my opinion.

brought truck in for e-test. they used a screwdriver to open my bully locking fuel door and didn't bother to call me and ask for key. (replaced fuel cap)1-damaged the locking fuel door. 2- pick up truck to find a cracked windshield washer reservoir leaking like a sieve. called back and was told they know nothing about it. never offered to fix or replace. Very disgusted with customer service and do not recommend. UPDATE- Chris from sales contacted me and ended up resolving this issue for me with a cheque to repair the damages done. he was very helpful. my original 1 star review is now a 3 star review.

Bought a used vehicle that turned out to be a complete nightmare (stranded a number of times within just 2 months after purchase) conveniently beyond the 2 week lemon policy. When brought to service center they were just guessing what the problem was, and added new parts without fixing any of the real problems. They put in a new battery but didn’t check the cords which connect to the battery that were horribly corroded. Was told I need a new Air Filter as mine was as bad as they’ve seen, just went to buy one myself for $20 and literally 2 minutes of my time to change it out and it wasn’t even dirty! I would never recommend anyone buying a vehicle from this dealer or using the service center based on my first hand experience, and stories from others who I know purchased vehicles here, all ended up dumping money into fix the vehicle soon after purchasing. Don’t spend your time or money here unless you have a lot of both to waste!

I wish I read the reviews on this company before purchasing a vehicle here. I have had many problems with my car and don"t appreciate being told before purchasing, that the vehicle had never been in an accident, only to find out after the purchase, that it had. I was going to look elsewhere for a car but after they ran my credit multiple times, basically ruining it, I had no choice other then to buy here.

STAFF IS pretty GOOD, vehicles seem to be a lot higher priced than most dealers or PRIVATE sellers but since there inventory is so large and have close to every make model on the lot, it makes shopping for a car easier when your undecided on what you want.

Very happy with the people here very good not pushy at all did all my business with Justin for most part over the phone and when I showed up to test drive the jeep compass trail hawk it was sitting warming up ready to go right at this point this place for sure a 5 star justin went out of his way for some thing and he knows what things he went out of his way for I'm not going to go into full dealtails just no this place is a for sure

Had to have work done on my car last week. The warranty covered everything and it was done sooner than expected! This is the 1st problem I've had with my car in the 3 years since I bought it there and I have gotten cars there before. The staff and service are great. I strongly recommend getting the Nationwide warranty even though it's pricey. All vehicles ultimately will have a problem at some point regardless of the make. I will by my next car from Progessive Auto. Their prices are fair and their staff know their stuff!

Got my first car from Progressive, Pete is a great guy to deal with. Thanks ! Everybody there was nice, professional and humble. I highly recommend to buy it from them if you live in Sarnia or near by places. And it just took half hour to buy the first car haha, so quick it was.
