I've been coming here for car maintenance since early last spring. Can't beat the prices and the staff is courteous :) The chairs in the waiting room are comfortable to sit in while you wait. I was last there two days ago for an oil change and tire changeover and was in and out quickly. I was able to connect to the wifi and get some work done while I waited. Rick said hello to me by name even though he wasn't at the counter when I arrived and my last visit had been in the late spring. There really is no reason not to give Speedy Auto Service a try...you will be a repeat customer once you do!

Wonderful Service, Professional and Courteous!! Had to get some work done quickly and after being quoted from a dealership an extremely high price I called Speedy and spoke with Rick. Rick provided me a quoted price for best case and worse case scenarios in case additional parts were needed, and the quote was several hundred dollars less than the dealership. I dropped my vehicle off mid afternoon and the team at Speedy worked past closing time to get the work done and the car back to me that day. Will definitely get work done there again.

Didn't take my car in for 25 minutes after my schedules appointment, also gave me the basic oil change instead of the maintenance package which I asked for. The time they did do the maintenance package, they do less than the bare minimum. The 2 stars is cause they have free coffee.

Sorry to go against the grain here. I took two vehicles to these guys for repair. Totaled about $1300. They both had to be returned for re work. I was not impressed at all with the service provided and also what they quoted on work that "should" be done. I wont take another vehicle there again and I certainly will not give them a good recommendation.

One of the most dishonest shops I've ever delt with. No idea how they have a 4 star rating. They completely took advantage of me when I brought my vehicle in for a safety inspection. They claimed my e brake wasn't working even though the car is manual and I knew 110% it did. I made them show me it didn't work and what do you know it worked! They also claimed some bushings were bad as well as my end links but when I took it to another shop it passed the inspection with flying colors... Not to mention there was oil all over the hood my freshly waxed car. Do not deal with these jokers.

I didnt have an appointment but came in because my wheel bearing was getting very whiny. They had never experienced a rear bearing go out on my type of car and so didnt have the bearing in stock. Whithin the hour they locally procured the bearing and installed it, at an unbeatable price too! Replaced windshield, left a bit of mess on the dash but nothing too bad, vacuumed the carpets and seats however. Creaking noise but most likely the cowl. Gonna tighten it and see if it helps. *edit* The services I got were actually from Novous, not speedy.

Work is half done. We had our oil changed but they didn't fill it, it was only filled to the tip of the dipstick and when we paid to undercoat our cars only the frame and visible body panels were done none of the steel lines or hard to reach spots. When I asked Rick why he claimed it was because people complain about smoke when the lines get hot but I'm pretty sure rusted lines that they paid to undercoat will be a bigger problem. Not to mention after 2 years of paying $60 for undercoating it jumped to $120. Issues with the work done at speedy have added up and I would definitely not recommend taking your vehicle here. If the price seems cheap there's a reason! Reply to Rick As for the oil being at the top of the safe area on the dip stick that is because when my wife saw it on the tip and we added a quart before we brought it to you, that is the only reason it was at the top of the safe area which you were told on the phone before I brought it in and when I brought it again so don't make it seem your shop didn't screw up. Also I just finished paying $500 to fix steel lines (at another garage) that should of been undercoated and didn't have a drop on them. Just about every repair I have had done at speedy has failed within a year from suspension to exhaust. Sept 17 2018 They replaced all 4 ball joints at a cost of $997.50 on September 28th 2017 so not even a full year later and 17000kms my suv already requires another upper ball joint.

Speedy Auto Service is GREAT! Just moved to St. Thomas and had a loud pop and clanking when I hit a sewer on a city street. Our boat trailer started having issues 2 hours into our trip (smoke coming from tire) on our way up north.I called speedy from the highway and asked if they could help with our issue (bearing)?? The owner said oh yes come on in lets have a look and see if we can help! We pulled up into the parking lot and was met outside with a friendly hello park it there and we will get right on it! The owner went in to get the mechanics and brought my family out an ice bottle of watet each. I felt like I was arriving at a friend's place! Needless to say after a short thorough inspection we were told that our wheel bearing was shot along with that the axle might, as we knew from all the smoke and the grinding as we parked ...They worked on the axle grinding and welding to get things apart and where able to order and go to next town and pick us up a new axle ...a couple hours of chilling in their air-conditioning with wifi sitting room the kids and us relieved to be back on our...and huge shout out for everyone staying past closing to get the axle on !. #familyvacation2021alwaysanadventure Thank you again ????

Our truck broke down at the 401, which just happen to be 4 hours from our house . Our tow truck driver suggested we go to Speedy . Within minutes of walking in , you can tell it wasn't their first rodeo and they know their stuff !!! Rick and his son Drew were fantastic. This was my first time having my car fixed at Speedy. They did an excellent job at a great price. I was really impressed with Rick and Joe. They took the time to explain my options and prioritized the repairs required. I was told i had some time before I needed to do the other repairs but opted to have all required repairs completed that day. They were very busy that day but still took the time to make me feel like a somebody. I will be back and will highly reccomend your St. Thomas location to anyone else that needs car repairs. We were totally taken advantage of. We were charged over $200 more and also they wrecked additional parts of the car and would not take any responsibility for it. I will never take any vehicle there again and will never recommend them. It's sickening a company can be so dishonest and take advantage of people in this way. Maybe some people have had decent service but we certainly did not and felt it was handled very poorly and utterly unprofessional. I would also like to point out that they were given every opportunity to correct the mistakes made in workmanship and in the invoice. They did not do so and refused to correct things even though everything was brought to thier intention. We were even told they would make it right only to be told the next day they would not do anything further to help. They don't even deserve one star.

I went to Speedy and had a rock chip on the windshield repaired which was done well (and quickly) by the technician. Asking about their other services, Rick the manager let me know they had a maintenance package on for a good price. The service was quality and most importantly there was no attempt to oversell or up-sell which can happen in the industry. These guys, by all accounts and in my experience, are very honest and straight forward. They will let you know what needs fixing, what can wait etc. I am very comfortable recommending and sending family members and friends who know even less about auto maintenance than I do to Speedy and Rick -- they will be treated with good service and an honest approach.

I arrived at Speedy in St. Thomas after having went to 2 other shops that same evening for help regarding a serious safety concern I had with my vehicle. The first shop looked at the vehicle and said there was nothing wrong and it was perfectly safe. The moment I left, I could immediately tell something was still wrong. I went to the next shop which was just closing at 5pm, they said they could not help me. Asking them what other places were open, they provided no recommendations. I found myself at Speedy St. Thomas (which thankfully is open until 6pm) 40 minutes before they were to close in desperate need of help. Not only did Rick (Manager) and his team immediately jump in to help, they identified the problem swiftly, offered a solution and assured me they could resolve it that very evening. Rick and his team, on short notice, stayed 40 minutes after closing to ensure I was back on the road and able to meet my work commitments the following morning. I cannot thank Rick and his team enough for the extra level of care they took to find the root problem and resolve it quickly. I will definitely be returning not only because they appear to be open later than any other shop in town, but because of the outstanding service and attention to their customers. I was floored that even Rick himself (a licensed technician) was out there working diligently with his team to ensure I was taken care of after hours. I highly recommend giving Speedy St. Thomas the opportunity to be your shop of choice. A big THANK YOU to Rick and his team. You made the difference!

Rick and his crew are just are part of a long list of rip off automotive service shops. They forgot to install the drivers dust shield after doing front hub bearings, ( they did eventually replace it at their expense) and after replacing a failed front lower ball joint under warranty ( the realignment wouldn't be covered) the warranty on the new ball joint is only for the remaining warranty ( only 4 months instead of 1 year). When I called to ask why, he actually hung up on me. I will inform everyone I know to NEVER GO TO SPEEDY in St Thomas.

Went to Novus for tint they were awesome, while I was there I observed the Speedy staff advising people and it was a breath of fresh air. Advised a client that he needed a cabin air filter, guy seemed uneducated about vehicles and said replace any filters that it needs. Speedy rep did not take advantage like some places, said no need, air filter was in great shape and he already tested the battery and it’s great too, $29 and the guy was out the door with a new cabin air filter. I’ve been to a lot of places that would’ve hosed the guy right away(jiffy lube) but these guys are great!
