I am new to St Thomas and found myself in a scary situation .My car stalled on me 3 times coming home from work. Once in the middle of an intersection . I called a few dealers who couldn't get my car in for 3 or 4 days. Gurr got my car immediatley and gave me a courtesy car. They kept me updated and didn't complete any work until they got my consent. Well lets put it this way. I never write reviews... I can't even describe the level of customer service at this place. My car isn't even fixed yet and I know these guys will do a fantastic job. But the fact that I'm on a tight deadline to get somewhere. They seem to actually care besides other auto shops which just wants your money and nothing else. Honestly go to this place. When we moved here the first place our cars went was Gurr Auto and we haven't been anywhere else. I enjoy the ease of booking appointments online. They are quick to get back with a date and time. Suzanne can answer all your questions in a timely manner whether it's a text or an email. They are amazing at giving their expertise when transitioning from your old car to a newer one. I have found their work on our cars timely, well done and at a reasonable cost. Whenever I have experienced an issue with a repair done. They have always stepped up, showed their integrity and resolved my issue. As always, they put the customer first. Gurr Auto offers shuttle service and an after hours drop off. During these pandemic times they have an efficient way of picking up your car from home and dropping it off without contact. Gurr Auto is pet friendly. When I walk my pet to the shop to pick up the car my 4 legged companion is welcome in the lobby. Highly recommend Gurr Auto to everyone they are honest and friendly.

I am relatively new to St Thomas and this is my third trip to Gurr for servicing. In all cases, they were professional and well within the stated schedule. They also offered a free Covid-response pickup and delivery service on my last visit that was well appreciated. They did no unnecessary work and when I had a short-lived engine stutter with an error reading and with nothing found to last after their diagnosis, they suggested I monitor and returned the car at no charge. I will stay with Gurr for all my car maintenance needs.

It's difficult to find someone you can trust. I'm a veteran on disability who knows his stuff but can't do what he could. No shenanigans - they were straight and honest about what was wrong. No hiding anything, no attempt to pull the wool over my eyes. They found a few things wrong that I didn't know of and I'm glad they did. Much better to catch something early and fix it before things go pear shaped. (Also less expensive.)

I had my Brakes and rotors done on my vehicle a year ago. I was on a budget so John recommended a cheaper pad option but assured me that it was still good quality and would last. Less then a year later I went back because my brakes were grinding (and had also squeaked since i got it done) and I needed all new pads and rotors front and back again! I couldn't believe I had worn through them in that amount of time so it was quite inconvenient. Gurr replaced it all free of charge since it was within the warranty but paid an extra $100 for the better pads as I was not coming back in a year again. Then when i received my inspection report it said I needed a brake fluid flush....why wasn't this done at the time i had my brakes done or even offered to me? I'm disappointed with this because the customer service is very friendly, I like that i get a detailed report of everything to my email. However service not as thorough or as good quality of work as it used to be.
