I met other personnel and I have to say the entire staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend Mazda to anyone who wants to purchase a vehicle. Love dealing with everyone at this dealership. This is my second brand new Mazda from St Catharines Mazda and my spouse was so impressed with them that he also purchased his first brand new vehicle from there. Angela is amazing and made the experience stress free. Jeff in service is always a dream to deal with. I can't say enough about how great this dealership is and how you feel right at home when you walk in. We love love love our Mazda vehicles, all 3 of them. I had a great experience at the St Catharines Mazda dealership. This is not my first car, but it is my first experience at this dealership and I had a great time! As much as buying a new or used car can be stressful, my sales consultant, Chase Bell was amazing. He was very welcoming, full of information and did not pressure me at all. I was very surprised at how much time and patience he had to make me feel comfortable and aware of the whole process. He was the only one, out of all the other brand dealerships I went to before hand (I regret not coming to Mazda first), none of them actually had a salesperson that cares as much as Chase and was not just trying to get the sale! This Mazda dealership was a HUGE difference! Chase introduced himself right away, and within 5 minutes I was introduced to the used and new car managers. Very family like in this place! I would like to thank Chase for his patience and well done on the sale. I will be returning to this location for sure for my next car along with many referrals, because of the people I got to deal with. Kudos as well to the used car manager Jeff, along with Raymond the new cars manager, and Alecia, the financial services manager. Great team, great dealership, great time! The absolute worst customer service! I've bought 2 brand new cars there because I did not want to drive further to another dealership. BIG MISTAKE!HUGE! I would not recommend or suggest this dealership. Esp if you want any type of customer service at all. They didn't even have the pamphlet for my 2018 cx5 to give to me, they gave me last year's. I still to this day stand deep behind this review! Go to another Mazda dealership!

My husband and I were both very pleased with this dealership. It provides outstanding service from when you walk in their front door to ownership of your new vehicle. The salesman was very helpful (not pushy) and answered all our questions and made the sale simple. Our insurance company was very particular about information - and Mike Ulisse helped us and was very patient and supportive. We received excellent explanation when we picked up our new Mazda as well. Recently we returned to our favourite dealership (although we do not live in St. Catharines) to purchase Mazda CX-5 Winter snow tires. We received wonderful service, the tires came in a package with rims at a great price and had a high rating. We will recommend this dealership to all our friends and was referred to it by our son-in-law.

I had great service until my most recent appointment, when I came to pick up my car and they told me there was an “incident” with someone backing into it. They were quick to the defensive when I questioned it, saying they weren’t responsible and they were no longer in possession of my vehicle when it happened. I get accidents happen but come on, they had my keys, my vehicle, chose the laughably absurd “parking spot” and then tried to pass the blame on me. It’s not like I lent my car to a sketchy friend. I also find it too coincidental that this is the ONLY time I have not received a satisfaction survey after my service. Just saying…

Can't comment on the car buying experience from this dealership as I purchased at another Mazda dealership. That being said, given having experience at another Mazda dealership, I haven't been impressed with the service department at St. Catharines. Every time I've brought my car in for an oil change they have sprung additional maintenance services on me. At St. Catharines Mazda, it always feels like a high pressure sales pitch and being put on the spot to make a decision when I check my car in. At the previous Mazda dealership I used to take my car to, I was always told when booking my oil change if there was additional recommended maintenance to be done. I prefer this as it gave me time to think about it and do some research before deciding whether to proceed.

Great service until another dealer wants to buy your car from them. They ignore requests for payout information and keep taking my money out of my account. Financial department was great when I was buying my FOUR new vehicles from them....now they just give me the runaround and are snippy. Service department always recommended unnecessary work, and even crazy glued a piece of my new car back together when they broke it. Stay away.

Today was my very first experience with this dealership since moving in January! I didn’t know where to pull my car up when I arrived, but there was a sign on their garage door to pull into that! As soon as I walked in the reception area, Jeff greeted me by my first name! (Which I was shocked he knew my name since I hadn’t even met them yet!) He was very professional, they checked with me about everything that needed to be done as well as pricing before proceeding! When I left, they gave me an explaination about my service that I just recieved on my car, AS WELL as a detailed explanation, and estimate as to what’s due on my next visit! I have NEVER gotten that at my last dealership I dealt with! Also got a card for a free oil change once I hit 6 oil changes! Never got that at my last dealership either!! Overall I left VERY SATISFIED with my first service at this location! Great job guys!

I bought a new 2016 Mazda3 last summer and the service was incredible and flawless! Unfortunately my brand new car was in an accident and was a complete write off. The team at Mazda has been absolutely amazing in the whole process. Not only did Chase in sales call me the day after my accident to make sure I was ok, but the entire team at Mazda has gone over and above my expectations! Going through the sales process again has been made so stress free by the wonderful staff there (especially Russ in finance!). I always feel like one of the Mazda family members while I'm there and I can confidently say that I will be driving a Mazda for years to come. Excellent service! My car stalled on the highway and then again off the ramp at Lake St. in St. Catharines. It turned out to be a very lucky day for me when I discovered an independent Mazda dealership very close by. I was trepidetious not knowing what the issue would be, nor costs, and I had to make it back to Toronto. I was greeted by Service Advisor, Jon Kendrick who was kind and compassionate. Jon introduced me to his master mechanic Steve Oddy who diagnosed and addressed a long standing pending concern, cleaned up all the gunk inside and got me back on the road, safely, all under $200. I was thrilled! Thank you very much Mazda St. Catharines, Jon and Steve for the supreme service and support!

Not the dealerships fault but personally think mazda has poor quality vehicles and doesn't help with the problems at all. Most likely will never buy a mazda product again once this one is paid off.

We have been bringing our 2017 Mazda CX-3 to St Catharines Mazda for service since we bought it in May of 2020. We have had no complaints until recently. Now, we can say without a doubt that we would NOT recommend St. Catharines Mazda to anyone we know. In the summer, we brought our car for an oil change and to have our winter tires changed to the summer tires. We had been delayed in getting our tires changed because our newborn daughter had been in the neonatal intensive care unit for four months, and we were afraid to leave her side in case she stopped breathing again. After our oil and tire changes were completed, we were advised that our brakes needed to be serviced. We discussed our circumstances and that we could not get that done that day, because our daughter was in the neonatal intensive care unit. Earlier this month, we arranged to have our summer tires changed to winter tires, and to have our brakes serviced as we are finally home from the hospital. We were quoted $171 for front and rear brake service, and $40 for the tire change. My husband took the car and was told it would be an hour and twenty minutes wait. He waited an hour and twenty minutes, and was given no updates. After two hours went by, my husband was asked by someone from Mazda “if he wanted to do the back brakes too”, because “it would be another hour”. So, not only was it delayed by an extra 1 hour 25 minutes (which would be reasonable on its own), but they actually only did HALF the work they were supposed to do. My husband declined, and said he would book for another day. When they finally finished, he was charged somewhere around $145 for just the tires and front brakes. Today, he returned to have the back brakes serviced. He was asked to sign the COVID sheet and then another sheet was put in front of him and he was told “I need your signature here”. The sheet was then taken away without any chance to review it. As we had already been provided a quote for the brake service, he didn’t think anything of it. After two hours, he was told the work was done and he could pay. They were charging for a full brake repair, $674.00. We were NEVER provided this information in advance. When my husband expressed that we were not quoted this, and did not have $674.00 to pay for a service we didn’t know about, the service technician repeatedly told him “oh it’s on the paper”, “it’s on the paper”, “it’s on the paper”. The paper that my husband was not given, and was taken away as soon as he signed. The paper that he wasn't even told was a work order, and didn't ask about, because WE HAD ALREADY BEEN QUOTED $171 for BOTH front and back brakes. If we had been made aware of the cost, we would have declined the service as it was not in our budget. We have a special needs child requiring exceptional care, and the things needed to keep her alive have to be paid for first. We would have had to budget and get it done at another time, but we were not given this choice. Instead, we were robbed of our budget to keep our daughter safe and alive. No apology was offered. No explanation as to why he was not shown the quote. Nothing. They just did the work without informed consent and took $650.00 from our family without any warning. Do they have any idea what life is like for average families during this pandemic? Clearly not. Now imagine you also unexpectedly have a child with exceptional special needs and exceptional costs associated. $650.00 is well over what most Canadian families can spend without warning. One month before Christmas, and they feel this is an appropriate method of doing business. The service technician, who’s name was Ryan, and apparently the service manager (the technician said he spoke to the service manager as well), have absolutely NO compassion. We will NEVER return to St. Catharines Mazda, due to their predatory business practices, and we will make sure to tell anyone we know that they should avoid St Catharines Mazda at all costs. After all, you’ll never know what visiting St Catharines Mazda will cost you.

I had an older Mazda 3 2005 and was lucky to drop in to St Catharines Mazda Service Department where I met Jeff and the team, who guided me on how to get the most out of my car based on advice from Jeff and his great team of mechanics and the cost was reasonable. This great place for anything to do with a great car encouraged me to meet the sales and Financial team and I am delighted to say I am the proud owner of a 2012 Mazda 3 since last January (2016) Go See Inara Smith. She's the best and was most understanding of my requirement to wait a little longer to finalize the sale. I have recently been on a search for a red Mazda CX-5. When I arrived at the St. Catharines Mazda dealership, I was approached by the Salesman named Matteo Scozzafava, who immediately heard by needs and tried to accommodate my request. I could see "my car" but it was being shown to another gentleman. Matteo told me to hang tight, and once the car became available for viewing, he gave me all of the details for this "Executive model" filled with upgrades! I was so happy to hear everything this vehicle had to offer! Matteo made the process for me, easy and quite honestly flawless! I would highly recommend him for your car purchasing needs. So this is my second car that I have purchased from st. Catharines Mazda, to be honest the first time that I got a car I was not overly impressed but that could have been due to the representatives that I was dealing with that that time. Since then there have been a couple new people that have started working there, most recently I dealt with Ken the used car salesman and he was fantastic, there was no pressure, any questions that I had he was able to answer them without any hesitation. We were able to work out a fantastic deal with trading in my old car so now I am a proud owner of the Mazda CX 5 2016, I got the upgrades that I wanted and I couldn't be any happier. Unfortunately I can't recall his name but the used car sales manager was also fantastic, he always made sure that everything was okay and when I came back in to finish purchasing the car he was there any assisted with getting all the paperwork done. Overall my second time buying a car from this location was fantastic, I'm very glad that I went back.

I'm giving the dealership two stars because my 2015 Mazda 3 is a great car, and that's worth something. If the service offered at this dealership itself is to be judged, zero stars would be appropriate. As a business owner, I appreciate the importance of reviews, and would never leave a frivolously negative one, so my first bad experience was chalked up to chance. Everyone has bad days. (Take a look at my other reviews for garages you can actually trust.) So, here we are now. I would think that if a dealership postpones a safety recall for seven months, ignoring all inquiries as to the status of said recall, that the resulting damage would have been addressed, along with the defective parts. Of course not! I was able to have my car serviced only under the insistence of an independent mechanic, who had to call the dealership on my behalf, otherwise I'd likely still be here driving around with shot brakes. I have asked the opinion of three unbiased mechanics, who all agree that the repairs I had to pay for were caused by the defective part(s) wearing my brakes to nothing. I understand that dealerships are businesses, not charities, but taking responsibility for your negligence isn't kind or nice, it's what's right.

Wife purchased a 2019 with 5k Kms on it, brand new machine. After first oil change mechanic cautioned dangerous as all four tires had dry rot cracks within the outside and inside treads (see photo). Had a second mechanic take a look with the same analysis, suggesting to replace tires soon. Came back to St.Catharines Mazda explaining problems found after it first oil change. Ryan in service said this was "common", I can't believe this was their response, especially after walking around the whole dealership and not seeing any vehicle with this "common" problem even used with much more then Kms on them. Took the vehicle on the lift and said nothing they can do, call Mazda. Sad experience, would not recommend any to this Dealer.

Russ helped with financing gave me many options until we found one I was comfortable with. I used the shuttle service. They picked me up at my house and brought me to the lot to pick up my new car. I was looking forward to purchasing my new vehicle at this dealership and was very disappointed when the saleswoman failed to tell me that the vehicle had been in an accident. I was also very disappointed when my car wasn't ready the day I was told to pick it up. A new day was chosen and I did not hear from anyone at the dealership until that day regarding an important policy that had not been covered. I had been told all along that the vehicle I was purchasing was an AWD vehicle. After being assured 3 times that the vehicle was AWD, I discovered the vehicle was actually FWD. This dealership is very unorganized and the lack of communication between departments is very evident. I did not purchase the vehicle as information was withheld from me and I no longer felt as though I could trust them.

The tone at the top runs through this dealership. From the moment we walked on the lot, when we met Matteo we knew by this young mans pleasant personality and easy going ways that our search for a new vehicle was over. No pressure, no games just a genuine person doing his job. One comment stood out when he said "every manufacture makes good cars" which was a contrast to the salesman at the Kia dealership who not only put down other makes, but also other dealerships. Long and short we bought, but I was not sure about a couple of things and stopped at the dealership the next day (Sunday) to have a peek at the new purchase only to find 3 people madly moving cars inside before the snow hit. I quickly learned this was the owner of the dealership, the general manager and another manager who took time to chat to me and then find my vehicle in the maze of cars. When pick-up day arrived and we went to collect our purchase everyone went out of their way to show their appreciation; the owner came by and said hello, the GM was about, the Sales Manager Gio was making sure everything was in order and most of all our sales person, Matteo, was there dotting every eye and crossing every tee. As I said at the onset of this - The Tone at the Top sets the course of a business and my dealings with St. Catharines Mazda was a true example of this. Congrats to you all as you were all outstanding but a big kudos to Gio and Matteo who sealed the deal.

This review is a year overdue. Our 2009 Mazda 3 has had numerous problems with no help from this dealer or the head office even in early years. Plastic material between windows went chalky after a year - no help. Radio failed! (never have we had that happen) just after warranty period-no help. Rusting out at rear quarter panels - started before 5 years - guess what - no help. Have had three other cars of major competitor with stellar experience during warranty periods. Regular service here is fine here - we used them only during warranty period as we normally go elsewhere (see other review) once the warranty period is up. But Mazda loses our business after we bury the current one. We'll never buy another. Went up the road to competitor with phenomenal service, and will never be back!

Took my car in for new brakes. Called for a price, confirmed price at the dealership when I dropped the car off. Go back to pick it up and it’s over double the price of what I was told. No explanation, no offer to take a bit off. Just “oh well”. Horrible service, will not be back. Putting car up for sale on auto trader tomorrow so I can switch to another car company. Congrats Mazda on losing a good customer who’s up for a new car!

With pandemic restrictions in place the dealership made us feel safety was first and foremost. Matteo was excellent and worked to get us a deal we wanted and answered all questions and explained everything quite well. We briefly met Gio whom was very nice, and Russ in finance is great! I have purchased 2 used cars from St Catharines Mazda. My first car was a Mazda 3 and I traded in for a Mazda CX-5 in November. I received excellent service from Jeff and Russ who helped me pick out a car in my price range and work out financing with the best interest rate possible. In the past I have had great interactions with the dealership and service department, never any complaints or negative experiences. However, my recent experience with a specific salesman was extremely unprofessional, rude, and embarrassing for the dealership. His treatment of myself during negotiations was appalling and his display of frustration and anger was uncalled for and quite frankly, completely unacceptable from anyone working in the sales world. Towards the end of the conversation I was told to simply “go buy my car in Toronto”, and tensions began to escalate. This resulted in the salesman ending the conversation with a slap to his desk and a “I think we’re done here”. Overall, I will not continue to recommend anyone to purchase from this dealership and I know I will not be returning for any purchases.

I recently purchased a used CX-5 from St Catharines Mazda. Chris and Alex were kind and professional. After some discussion back and forth, it was agreed that a minor cosmetic issue would be fixed in order to make the sale, which was great. The car was set to be picked up two days later. Thankfully I called ahead of time because I had to find out on my own that the car was not going to be ready. Now I no longer had a vehicle and the purchased vehicle was set to be ready for Monday. Yet again, I call on Monday and yet again the car was not ready. I was able to use a loaner vehicle for the night until it was ready the following day on Tuesday. I can understand setbacks, however I should not have to find that out by calling rather than being called. Although the body work turned out fantastic, I heard nothing about the several delays and picked up my car from an associate who knew nothing about me or my car and simply handed me the keys to somewhat clean car with less than half a tank of gas. Overall I am pleased with my vehicle, however the service gets a 2/5 stars.

Service department unfortunately forgot a crucial part of my service - I offered to wait or leave the car overnight for that service, no compromise was made on their mistake. Found out later that day on the back of my paperwork there were several recommended repairs which were not brought to my attention, one was completed though unauthorized (would have authorized it anyways) and the rest which were more significant I had to call about the next day. Oddly contrary to the typical repair garage trope, but nevertheless not sure I want to trust taking the time out of another day (plus my rides' day) to hopefully get everything I ask for completed. Unfortunate as they seem like good people!

After choosing the Mazda CX-30 that I wished to purchase, Russ was very kind and knowledgeable with the financing process. Went to pick up OEM brake cables and was sold 1 correct one and 1 that was not correct. Had to return the part and was advised they had the wrong part cataloged and couldn't help me get the correct part. My drive to their location is 30 mins and I did it twice and only got 1 of the 2 brake cables I required. I ended up going to the aftermarket to get what I needed. Some of us have to keep our old vehicles running due to finances and I feel the manufacturer of the vehicle should have been more able to source parts required for long term maintenance. Recommended to go elsewhere or the internet so you are not so inconvenienced.

Stay away from St Catherines Mazda!! On Wednesday, September 22nd, my wife and I called St Catherines Mazda and said that we were looking for a brand new CX9 and they said that we could apply for finance through their website, and we applied. On the same day, their employee named Alecia sent me a message and said that our finance application was approved and that we could come for the signatures tomorrow. On September 23, we went to their store and talked about the details of the vehicle, and they told us that the vehicle has 3-year unlimited km warranty. However, they said that they do not have a CX9 the trim which I want in their stock, but they can bring it, and we signed the documents for the loan of the vehicle. And today (1 week later) I went to their store with all my documents and my plate ready to pick up my vehicle. I signed all the final documents in store. But the employee who made me sign the documents said that it will be 3 years and 80 thousand km warranty. I asked them that when I came last week, they said it would be warranty for 3 years unlimited km and how they could change it to 80 thousand km now, and I objected to this situation. He went to talk to his manager. Then they both came to the room and said that they could not deliver the vehicle to me. As a reason, they said 'the bank will not approve your loan'. But the bank already has approved my loan application for finance on the first day and they never told me anything about this until I objected about 80 thousand km warranty. In fact, if I had not objected to 80k warranty, I would pick up my new car with all the signatures. We were just waiting for the plate to be attached to the vehicle. And as a result, they canceled the sale of the car to me and did not deliver my vehicle, even though all the signatures were signed. I had to take a taxi to get back home As proof, I am sharing the document signed by me, the sales representative and the sales manager of the store, proving that I purchased the vehicle. I have never seen such a bad dealer and employees like this in my life. I would definitely recommend stay away from this Mazda store!

Mazda St. Catharines I purchased my used 2017 Mazda cx3 June 2019. Started to notice rust perforations on the back of my roof a few months after purchasing. I Went to Mazda St. Catharines service desk where the employees were very polite and helpful, they assured me that these were not stone chips and that they should cover the damage due to it being so new. They submitted the claim to Mazda Canada where it then was declined for getting repaired. After personally contacting Mazda Canada about the declined claim they then approved the repair on my cx3. Mazda St. Catharines then asked me to get 2 quotes from local body shops, I read the reviews on the shops and I did not like what I was reading, but I got the quotes regardless, I also got a quote from a third body shop that had better reviews and personally know the owners as well as the technicians, the quote was also cheaper then the others shops. When I submitted the quotes to Mazda. St. Catharines I had expressed my concerns with the shops they had suggested and asked to go to my preferred shop. I had to call Mazda to see when and if my vehicle was getting repaired and if I can speak to a manager as I have not spoken to a manager throughout the whole process.That’s when the general manager became extremely unprofessional with myself and my spouse. Saying that if we didn’t want to go to there shops then they wouldn’t be doing the work at all and how this is a favour to us and denying the damage is manufacture problems saying the rust is caused by stone chips. We had no choice but to go with there shop. Once we had received the car back we had noticed the repair wasn’t done properly, my partner had tried calling the Laura general manager back to explain what was wrong but had only ever gotten voice mails, after leaving over 5 different voicemails with no returned calls we had to bring it to the body shop they sent it to and show them where they made the mistake, they have now fixed the problem but this isn’t a review on the body shop. This is a review on the lack of professionalism that I have received from the secretary as well as the general manager Laura of St. Catharines Mazda. I will under no circumstances deal with this dealership again. I have never been treated with such disrespect and attitude from anyone let alone a name branded dealership.
