We had a great experience with this dealership. Manny helped me go through my new 2019 Buick Enclave. He was transparent, not pushy and very easy to talk to. I also believe I received a very fair price for the vehicle I purchased. Adam helped us through the financial side of things and was very helpful as well and very easy to talk to. We had our two young girls with us when purchasing this vehicle and Adam and all the staff made a point to welcome them, which made our experience even better. I would definitely come back for my next vehicle and would highly recommend to others.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Daniel was hands down the best salesmen we’ve ever dealt with. Very knowledgeable, not pushy and really patient with us. He really went above and beyond for us. Definitely the guy we’ll go back to and recommend him to anyone. Yemi and Anthony in finance made the purchasing experience a total breeze and were just awesome to work with. Excellent service! Bought a Groupon and went there for oil change and inspection. They've put a synthetic oil and the inspection report showed that I needed to replace a CV joint boot. They quoted me a very reasonable price for a regular part but it turned out I needed an original part for my VW Passat which of course was more expensive. Nevertheless, they still charged me what was originally quoted and because it took more time to get the part from VW, they gave me a VIP courtesy car until they fix my car FREE OF CHARGE!! I didn't even have to pay for gas.!! Well done Ron Hodgson!! I'm your customer now for any car needs
Very disappointed in this dealership, My boyfriend was very interested in a truck but wanted to stay within a certain budget as we had just bought a house and a new SUV. He put a $1000 deposit on the truck to go view it because we live two hours away and couldn’t make it till today (Friday). They had settled on a deal and where the payments would be , went to financing and of course when you add your insurance and stuff ended up being more then he wanted to spend biweekly. He choose to no longer get the truck, which is completely understandable and should be respected. They would not return his deposit, to which I found very horrible for business. He is still in the search for a new truck and was trading in his old one, he just wanted smaller payments. I would expect this from a side dealer, which is why we went to a Chevrolet dealer. I purchased a brand new vehicle last month and had to leave a deposit as well because we live so far away and can’t make it for a few days, had all the papers drawn up and ready for me when I got there, if I choose to not get the vehicle once there I was 100% entitled to my money. I am super disappointed in this dealership and will be advising him and anyone else to go to a more reputable one.

If you are buying a Chevrolet product come here, don't waste time at other dealerships. A handshake means something here. Go see Danny and Gord in sales, they were super professional & no pressure. They treated me with respect and took my requests seriously. With a few quick emails they had our suburban ready for us when we arrived to look at it. We decided upon it and worked the numbers and financing with no hassle or haggling. When it came to the finance side Yemi was awesome and again was professional honest and had a no pressure approach. It was unlike other finance offices I have dealt with in the past being all he did was offer their products and didn't not pressure me when I choose what I wanted. The delivery was smooth and easy , Gord showed us all the features and functionality of the Suburban. We got a great tour of the facility as well so we were familiar coming back for servicing. My overall experience with this dealer was excellent, right from the moment I initially contacted the salesman. We have nothing but issue with Ron Hodgson. When we originally bought our truck in 2016, the paint chipped instantly. This was due to a VERY poor job. Ron Hodgeson refused to help, and told us this was on us, as we must have driven behind a rock truck. The way this chips on the paint are you can tell 100% this is due to a VERY POOR PAINT JOB. We now have no AC in our truck. This is due to an AC RECALL FOR ALL 2014 - 2017. Today they wanted us to pay to have a diagnostic test, and will not fix this recall. POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Only nice when they want us to spend money on a new vehicle.

The service on my truck is always first rate. The service department has never let me down. However, on this last visit a sales person was significantly out of line. I was very disappointed with the salesman and his supervisor. I have purchased my truck here, my first daughter's car came from here, but the second daughter's vehicle didn't. The opportunity to close the sale was there, we were motivated to purchase from Hodgson's but this guy was out of line. While I will continue to get my truck serviced at Hodgson's, I will consider other dealerships for my next purchase.
After an accident left us dealing with the headaches of insurance and needing a new vehicle,Travis Mourits was there! He was amazing, made sure we knew what we were getting, and was very clear on the process we needed to take. He had the vehicles we were interested in ready for us to look at when we got there! Showed us all the features and helped us set up our new vehicle before we drove it away. Travis seems like a very humble man who was well knowledged in many vehicles and the features they had. He ensured we had great, time efficient service. He really made this process easier for us. I was very impressed with the down to earth experience I had at Ron Hodgson, namely with salesman Wes Kohut, Adam Martel from financing, and salesman Craig Chorzempa. Each of them made the experience straight forward without any of the typical sales pressure so many people experience at a car dealership. Wes even went as far as taking time out his day to come to my home and pick up the summer wheels of the truck I traded in. A week or so after the sale the dealership sent a hand written card and care package to my home thanking me for choosing their dealership. I would recommend Ron Hodgson to friends and family.

Great dealership overall, one improvement would be more transparency when buying a vehicle. I recently bought a new truck from here and Austin was great to deal with. He followed up appropriately and wasn't overly pushy. Was fustrating trying to get a rough price as they would only give MSRP willingly. Once a vehicle was found they gave me a good price on it and really made me feel like they appreciated the business. Anthony was fantastic when it came to the financial aspect all number up front and explained things so it's easy to understand. I will be recommending this dealership to any friends or family who are in the market for a vehicle.
Spent lots of money within dealer on extended warranty and accessories for my truck. When took in for an oil leak told me my warranty that when explained was supposed to last a year lasted 6 months. worst service I have ever received. finance department very pushy and looking to get the most money out of you and not trying to help you with your purchase. They never return any phone calls.

Great Customer Service. My wife and I have purchased multiple vehicles and this was by far our best buying experience. When looking at the Enclave, the salesman Mark was full of information and absolutely no pressure. We had our infant son and two young children with us and he was completely patient with us. Encouraged us to try the car seats in the vehicle and even offered to put all 3 seats in to take it for a drive for a bit if we wanted. When my husband went back to actually purchase the next day, he was greeted with the same enthusiasm. When dealing with Finance, customer service was also great. Friendly and efficient. We picked up the vehicle on the Monday to find that one of the headsets for the rear seat entertainment was missing, to which they promptly ordered us 2 brand new ones as replacements. Great Customer Service during the buying process and great service even after. Would recommend to anyone looking for a GM product!

Customer service is awesome. Super friendly and only wish to get you back on the road as quickly as possible. Parts on the other hand not so good. Called to say part not there and will take 10 days after re-ordering. They gave me a courtesy vehicle and then called me back saying car will be ready in 15 minutes. The part was there the whole time.
From walking in to finishing the paperwork, all staff was extremely helpful. They explained every step of the process and I never felt over pressured. I was a bit hesitant after I got lied to by Lakewood Chev. I have bought 2 vehicles from here in the last 4 years and have been very happy. This weekend I was shopping for a used vehicle for my son and worked on an offer with the salesman and we came to a good deal that made both of us happy. There was a little misunderstanding on our part and the vehicle would no longer work for us. The salesman understood as it was important for my son to be happy with his first vehicle. We didn’t buy this time but with that kind of service I will certainly go back.

I came in to look for a replacement for my work pickup truck. Shane asked me what I was looking for and immediately set me up with a smoking deal on last year's model pickup (2013 Sierra Crew), and a 2014 GMC Sierra Crew All-Terrain. Awesome trucks. Exactly what I was looking for. I went with the 2014 and gave Shane a list of accessories that I needed. He gave me a timeline that it would take to get them installed. Since I needed a vehicle before this truck could be ready, Quentin set me up with a car to drive for a couple days while waiting for the truck. After delivery of the truck, I looked over the quality of the installation of accessories and they were very well done. The truck was completely clean and well presented. Totally worth the wait. Hands down, the best part of dealing with Shane Osepchuk, Quentin Siffledeen and the entire team at Ron Hodgson were that they listened to my needs, told me what was available and let me choose what I wanted. They made this a great experience and put me into the exact vehicle I wanted. I'll be sending all my friends there.
7 Months ago I did a trade in with their sales and leasing consultant Danny Achty. Highly recommend working with him and his team at the dealership. Every transaction after was smooth wether it was an oil change, fixing a problem covered by warranty, etc. Always gets me a demo when i drop the car off to get fixed. In terms of customer service - excellent (with Danny at least) The car itself has run into many problems... one of them is rust. Car started rusting within 3 months of buying it and i guess it's not covered under warranty. First time this has happened to me.
I just moved to Alberta and was looking for a work vehicle. I just so happen to share the same last name as the dealership so I thought it would be a great place to start. There I met Ludwig and he was absolutely amazing! He helped me pick out a vehicle that suited my needs for work and personal use. It has been well over 10 years since I bought my first car and I brought my parents along just to help me out. The whole process of buying, registering, and insuring a car is quite different here than in BC. Ludwig walked us through the whole process and made things as easy and painless as possible. With his help I didn't even need to bring the parents along! I'm loving my new vehicle which has all the bells and whistles which is a nice change from my first vehicle... We ended up buying elsewhere so my husband texted the rep to let him know. Ended up getting a nasty phone call in which we were told "We wasted his time." "We pissed him off." He was on speakerphone in the truck as well swearing at my husband while my kids were in the car. Fantastic "customer service".

We recently purchased a new vehicle from Ron Hodgson and it was a fantastic experience! Randy and the sales team were very upfront, easy to deal with and answered all of our questions. We did a lot of research and their pricing was very competitive. They also offered a fair value on our trade in vehicle. It was well worth the drive from Edmonton for this level of service!
I've left this review for a couples of days since our appointment. Reason being, I was so upset and irate with the "Service Department" Our car appointment was for 8:45 a.m., arrived on time and said we would wait for our car (that we had just purchased a month and a bit ago). One tail light lens had to be replaced and a section of trim needed to be checked. 7 HOURS, yes 7 hours later our car was ready. Oh yes, they offered shuttle service but being a 1 vehicle family we didn't feel it was necessary. (The last time we did that, they had the car all day and after my husband calling to see about it in the late afternoon, we'd had been without a car for 2 days!) I spoke with our salesman and he had a discussion with the Service Manager and returned to us saying the manager would speak with us. That never happened and all of a sudden our car was ready. As I told our salesmen, we will never purchase another vehicle from Ron Hodgson. He was great BUT the rest is "downhill" in our books. As a footnote, when we picked up our new car it had not been delivery prepped properly. No windshield wiper fluid, salesman obviously had to washed it. 4 p.m. was our time of pick up, so it wasn't an early morning situation. Totally disappointed in this businesses service department - ZERO stars for them. We will give the salesman Craig Chorzempa 5 stars, absolutely. But the domino effect will affect him in the end, unfortunately. Hope this does some good, IF anyone in management reads their reviews and will give the public a "heads up" if considering the Ron Hodgson car dealership.

He asked a few questions on the way to the showroom and within minutes we were off for a test drive. Very personable and not the least bit 'salesy' we knew we were going home with something. After a completely terrible experience with the service advisor Andrew I swore I would never use the service department here again. I decided yesterday to give it a second chance and dealt with Cassandra instead. She completely turned my experience around. She was honest, knowledgeable and awesome to work with. She got the recall/warranty work (that Andrew refused to have done) done without a second thought. The rest of the experience was great, I will be back as long as I deal with Cassandra or someone other than Andrew. Give Andrew a broom and let him sweep the floors instead of working the service counter…he has no clue what customer service means.
Danny Brandon sold me my new truck and let me tell you he is fantastic and the people he works with also. I bought my new 2020 3500 Denali a few days ago and would not go buy a vehicle anywhere else again . Anyone looking for a truck or a vehicle should go to Ron Hodgson. Extremely poor experience compared to other dealerships. When negotiating over text, I was led to believe we agreed on a price and a printout of the quote wasn’t necessary as it was in the “text”. Went to sign the agreement the next day and it $7000 more than what was agreed upon in text. Was simply told to sign on the line when handed the agreement without going over anything. Wasted two days shopping at the dealership and when walking out of the deal was still being pressured by sales staff to sign for the much higher price.

This place has absolutely no regard for customers time. I've given them more than a few chances to redeem themselves but every time it's worse and worse. Booking an appointment is completely useless. I had my tires changed over, I booked an appointment and it still took 2 hours to complete. The tires are already on their own rims and everything so it should be a quick switch. Save yourself the time and grief and go somewhere else. And if it's anything more complex then the time frame is even longer and an appointment time is meaningless.

Dean was incredibly nice from the very beginning when I inquired for a test drive online for a used 2009 Ford Escape.The entire process was very easy, and Dean made sure everything was clear and understood before going on to the next thing. Dean is fantastic to work with. I gave Dean and his associates at Ron Hodgson 100% marks because they earned them. I first met Dean when I took a walk away from another nearby car dealership because I was too annoyed to stay. Dean saw me sitting on the rocks outside the old Ron Hodgson location, and came over and talked. As I was talking, I mentioned the difficulties I had with the other car dealer, and that my wife and I were hoping someday to own a hybrid. I was so impressed by Dean's friendliness and knowledge that I gave him my number so that he could let us know if he had anything interesting. I did not plan to buy anything at the time, and Dean knew that. Dean invited us out to test drive a Smart Car, and we decided that we were not interested. There was absolutely no pressure from Dean. He said that he just wanted to make sure we wound up happy, because he wants to establish a business relationship, rather than a one-off sale. Much later, Dean gave us a call because Ron Hodgson had just gotten a Kia Optima Hybrid on an estate sale. He wanted us to come in immediately because he knew it was just what we had been looking for -- we fell in love with the car, and did a trade-in right away. Dean has been amazingly supportive throughout the whole process, and it seems as if he is going to be supportive as we go forward. The Sales Specialist- Randy is honest, very accommodating and pretty straight forward with the price deals, no tricky pitch lines unlike most of the car dealerships that I have encountered. Finance Manager- Mr. Ludwig who facilitates my finance approval with ease and no sketchy add-ons with the price agreed. 3. Of course, the last but not the least I am very satisfied with the car (Awesome!!) that they delivered it here for free all the way from St. Albert to Grand Prairie. We had what I would call the best vehicle purchase experience that I've had in my life and I have bought many vehicles in my lifetime. The salesman was Shane Osepchuk who was totally professional, very helpful in the whole experience and at the same time not pushy. Absolutely terrible service!! My wife and I went to a couple of dealerships shopping around, decided to come here for a third option. Not only were they higher then every other place, when it came time to sign papers, they completely took advantage of my wife. They told her the vehicle was higher then we negotiated, they sold the extended warranty for more then we negotiated, she wanted a lower payment so she she put $3000 down which they pocketed. They gave the banks a completely different bill of sale then she Recieved. They told the bank the vehicle they were selling was different price then what was on the bill of sale and also the $3000 down was never on the bill of sale. They tried pocketing roughly $4000 of my wife. I would NOT ever reccomend this place to anyone. Make sure and triple check numbers before deciding to purchase.

Brought my truck in for an error displayed on screen. I was told that none of the errors stored in the computer were related to the error on screen and that they had erased the stored errors and the error that was displayed on screen would not return. I expressed my concerns that they had not resolved the issue and inquired as to what I would need to do when the msg returned. The service tech asked me if I was a GM factory trained tech and if I was qualified to make that assumption. The next morning error returned and I had to drive straight to the dealer to have the issue addressed and prove the issue is real. I don't consider myself to be unreasonable,i just expect a new vehicle to run as one and to have issues like this resolved quickly. The only other time I have brought my truck in for service I have been met with similar service.

I had to have a sensor changed in my car and Jerry greeted me both days in the shop. His attitude, smile and great nature made my day. I worked with Sean (service consultant) who was fantastic and went out of his way to help with another question I had even though it was not in his area of expertise. Overall this a great dealership and service department and I recommend them to everyone.
I wanted to leave review on Google before getting the "Please leave a review" email from GM. Ron Hodgson was absolutely fantastic to deal with and incredibly convenient. I applied for a vehicle online and reached out to make sure my app went through. I live 3 hours away and wanted to make sure I could deal with everything before coming to the dealership, aside from putting a plate on the vehicle. Ramid was amazing, took care of everything for me and got me a smoking deal on a brand new GMC Terrain. All I had to do was insure the vehicle and register it, of course. During this last cold spell, I , like so many others, had some trouble starting my car. The service department at Ron Hodgson was able to fit me in right away. I was able to do a contactless night-time drop off so they could do a cold start in the morning and find out what was causing the problem. And, even though the issue was caused by a relatively simple malfunction that I would never have thought to diagnose myself, they were able to get my car in ship shape driving condition by addressing an afterthought concern of mine all within the quoted time frame! Came in for my two year vehicle inspection for the protection plan purchased from another dealership. Sean Maxim had me in and out quickly. Wow! I CAN NOT believe how amazing this dealership is. The team here works so well together. They worked HARD to get my car financed on a long weekend when everyone was on Thanksgiving vacation. We thought I wouldn’t get my car for a week, but strings were pulled and people were called, I got my car the same day I walked in! Ron Hodgson won't stop calling and/or emailing me to bring my sons car in for service after I've asked them to stop and unsubscribed to their email list. When they called me, I told them I never purchased the car there, but rather took my sons car in for a thermostat repair. They hooked the hose up but never adjusted the temperature sensor on top of the thermostat which communicates to the car computer. This miss cost me another $600 to have their work/damage from this repaired at Sinclair Auto in St. Albert. I've repetitively asked them to stop as this is aggravating.

TERRIBLE SERVICE, I will never buy a vehicle from them again or take it there to be service. Service team said they did all the jobs under warranty for my vehicle but nothing was done or fixed. When brought to their attention nothing was done to right their wrongs. They want business but yet don't have good customer service to support it. I will be going to other GMC's from now on, took it to Sherwood GMC and they did a wonderful job and the best service!

Was looking for a used truck all over southern Alberta and this dealership had the best pricing for what we wanted. The salesman, Danny, was very pleasurable and helpful to deal with. Even though our vehicle wasn’t a Chev or GMC he answered most of our questions well. He was most professional in handling the sales details including helping sort out an issue with the vehicle registration. The dealership was one of the few that actually negotiated with us on the price whereas many other dealers just had a “take it or leave it” attitude from the start. Not giving the review 5 stars because the prior owner did not turn in the spare keys with the truck and the dealership should have been on the ball to get the keys then. It has taken more than 9 days and counting since we bought the truck to get the spare keys - wouldn’t be such a big deal if it didn’t cost so much these days to get a vehicle re-keyed with new remote fobs.

Owned gm products for over 10 years. Looked at replacing my truck with a new one. Salesman was super excited to sell me a new one but once I said I was going used( still spending 40k). , the salesman was downright rude, condescending and arrogant. I’ve been going to them for years for service but now I’m turned off the dealership entirely. In a highly competitive market, there are plenty of better options out there. I even tried contracting the manager about it, but they didn’t return my message. They honestly could care less which suprised me considering I own two newer gm vehicles and am local in St. Albert. I guess unless you have 70k to spend on a new Denali you aren’t considered a valued customer.
If you are sick of looking around for a decent service experience then look no further than my favorite Service Consultant, Jacinda Beckham. I have been sending my vehicles to her for several years even before she moved to Ron Hodgson's and I will carry on doing so - honest, direct and reliable and bribable for a coffee with 2 milk and 2 sweetener! If there was a “no star” or a “negative start” this service department definitely deserves that but more so their 20 year veteran service technician. If only I could post pics on here and the paper work…customers bringing their car here would think twice. I wanted to purchase a 2009 Cadillac Escalade from a private sale but I wanted to do my diligence to get it all checked out and feel good about purchasing a vehicle that I always wanted. I had asked the seller to bring it to get it inspected to make sure everything was good running order ESPECIALLY the suspension. They had the vehicle for about a couple hours and I get the call that the truck is ready. Myself and the seller both came in and got the truck, I had asked what is wrong with it. They said minor wear and tear…nothing to be worried about. (Fluids need to be changed, bulb is out, leak in exhaust, tie rod ends need replacing soon) minor things. The one thing I asked “IS THE SUSPENSION OK??” I know that can go and AND I don’t want the truck if the suspension is not good because its costly!! The service advisor says “ for its age…its in great shape”. I was so happy to hear that so right there I signed the bill of sale and bought the truck. I drove the truck home and noticed the ride wasn’t smooth and still excited I had the truck. 2 days later the truck had a rough idle and a warning light comes on saying “loss power” so I immediately got it towed to a very known shop near my house to get it checked and told them to check the engine and the suspension. I get a call back from the shop I brought it to and they said I need a throttle body and I also need a new axle and that the one on my truck is RIPPED. I was shocked because on my inspection sheet is said the cv boots were good and the suspension is good. Me being shocked I went right down to the shop to look at it myself and sure enough it was ripped and was ripped for a while because there was no grease in the boot anymore. Then he mentioned the front struts and shocks were bad as well. Had I know I would have NEVER even touched the truck. I immediately went back to Ron Hodgson to tell them what went on and showed them pictures. The service agent went to the back to see what happen and sure enough he came back with excuses that the tech gave him. SUCH BULLS#!T… HE CLEARLY MISSED IT. Had I not had it got checked at another shop..that eventually would have broke on the road with my kids inside. Major safety hazard!! The service agent asked me to bring the car back but I the other shop had already repaired the boot but I did bring the part back to show them. Then Ron Had no excuse but they said they would give me a refund on my inspection! Also told me I should have asked for a suspension inspection…EFF that inspection is an Inspection!!! I Had complained and the service guy tells me “its above my pay grade!!” Don’t tell me that..this is your job as well!! This truck is so unsafe for me and my kids and I can’t believe a well known dealership missed this AND give me excuses after the fact…just admit to it and this would have been different. Pictures were there in black and white. Now im in $8k more to fix this truck. Long story short. Don’t bring your vehicle there. I also advised 2 of my buddies WHICH bought escalades from there not to bring them there for service. I will definitely be calling AMVIC and filing a complaint as well. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would, Curtis was very accommodating; was my eyes as I was not available to view the car in person and sent detailed notes, pictures and videos of the car. He was completely honest and fair with the add ons I was looking at purchasing and everything was completed in a timely manner for a prompt pickup to fit my schedule. I was happy with the 2019 Golf R when I arrived in person and didn’t come across anything surprising, a lot more dealerships could benefit in having more employees like Curtis and his team!

Consistently disappointed with the service department. My truck has 20000km and has been in the shop 4 times. I have recently found out that 3 visits could have been avoided had they replaced a commonly problematic sensor the first visit. I honestly dont know how they have a decent rating on here. Iv talked to many friends who also won't go back for their own reasons.
My recent experience with Ron Hodgson’s and specifically Ludwig Ernst was very pleasant. Ludwig approached me as I was looking over some used vehicles on their lot. He asked if he could be of assistance and after I explained what I was looking for he proceeded to show me a couple of options to consider. After some very friendly negotiations we reached a compromise. I feel I received fair value for my trade in and the vehicle Ludwig recommended has so far met my expectations. Ludwig is a very knowledgeable, friendly and personable individual and has certainly changed my perception of a “used car salesman". I look forward to recommending Ludwig to my friends and certainly hope I have occasion to deal with him again.

Repost: I am changing my rating to 5 stars. I made a post 3 weeks prior being disappointed. Afterwards the manager contacted me to correct the dissatisfaction I had and they've been really great, mailed the new oil change cards to me and even followed up. They really do care about giving great service. Highly recommend, I feel confident everytime I leave there that my car is in good condition and that I'm taken care of Previous post: Really happy with getting my car serviced today. A bit disappointed in the sales department though. Because I got 2 free oil changes with the sale of my vehicle from gm, and 2 free with the dealership. The gm oil changes only go up to 24,000km and the 2 free from the dealership expire in a year which means I wouldn't be able to use them all unless I just got oil changes more frequently than needed ???? so.. Feeling a little ripped off with my purchase now

Would like to put no stars but don't have that option. After spending over 200k since 2015 at this store, they have gone through some employees. I go in to purchase an oil filter and an air filter. Different parts guy's at the counter, no problem. Try and bring up my last purchase of the same nature and zero success. Like I didn't even shop there. Tried to tell the parts guy what I paid for the last ones and all I got was, No way, Impossible. I under stand there might be a slight price increase since I bought them 6 months ago but he wanted to charge me the full price. I walked out empty handed. I guess maybe you need spend 1million over the course of 6 years to actually have a known account and maybe a fixed discount rate. It's to bad. Just when you think that you have created some sort of relationship with the company, its like you never existed. Well you don't have to worry about seeing my face in there again for a new vehicle, parts or service. Maybe by someone reading this they will change there way they treat there valued customers. They could of have another 200k in sales over the course of the next 5 years but instead I will take my business to a different Chevy/GMC dealer. There are many that are close.
The service department needs to get thing straight. You wanna make an appointment to bring in your vehicle and you pic a day and have to drop it off on a first come first bases. And quick service you need to make an appoint, even though sigh say "No Appointment Necessary". I will never take any vehicle to then ever.
When for an oil change they told me half an hour will come get you when it's ready two Hours later I went to check it was ready nobody even came and got me or told me and they didn't really seem to care that I had waited so long not going back
I recently purchased a 2019 Buick Envision Essence from the dealership, and it was a very good experience from the time I spoke to sales associate, Randy, until I drove my purchased vehicle home. I had dealt with an EDmonton Chevy dealership for the last 13 years and gave them the first chance to sell me a vehicle, but they only offered me $8,000 trade-in allowance for my 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. I knew my 2015 Equinox was worth approximately $15,000 because it was only six years old and only had 57,800 kms on it. I started looking at car gurus and came across a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox which piqued my interest. I called Hodgson and spoke to Randy. He stated that if my Equinox was in as good a shape as I stated, that he thought that my $15,000 desired trade-in allowance seemed reasonable. I made arrangements to meet Randy the next day so that he could see my Equinox and show me the vehicles they had that might meet my specific needs, which included lane change warning system. When the sales manager inspected my vehicle he initially offered me the $15,000 trade-in allowance I had requested. When the deal was finalized, The dealership offered me $15,500 as a trade-in allowance, That was almost twice the amount ($15,500 vs. $8,000) offered by the other dealership from whom I had purchased 6 vehicles in the 13 years I had dealt with them. I would highly recommend the Ron Hodgson dealership as a GM dealership you should definitely consider when buying a vehicle (new or used). I found the sales associate, Randy, and the finance manager, Ludwig Ernst, very professional and made the purchase of my vehicle a very pleasant experience. We had a good experience here at Ron Hodgson Chevrolet Buick GMC. Originally went in just to take a look around at our options for a new vehicle, and ended up finding something we really liked. Bob Warren was very honest with us on how things would go, and answered any questions we had about the deal we were getting, how the financing part would work (as much as he was able to with the knowledge he had), and how things would work once we went to pick up the truck and taking it in for warranty/checkups, ect. Something I really appreciated is that we weren't treated differently because of our age. That is something that I've had to deal with and it was really nice being able to walk into a dealership and be treated as an adult. I would definitely recommend this dealership to someone else. ____ Above is the old review. As soon as I posted it, the service was absolute garbage. We got the undercoating and booking the appointment was a pain, the quality of the job was trash, and overall it left a very bad taste in our mouths that as soon as a good review was left, their service completely disappeared. I DO NOT recommend this dealership. And I'm very glad we no longer have this truck.

I called to get a pair of car keys made for my stolen and recovered van . A lady(forgot her name) answered for Services Department and quoted me $165. I towed my van there. Andrew Minor and another gentleman approached me. I told him I called earlier to get appointment for tomorrow so I can have a pair car keys cut and programmed for my van. I was quickly asked for my ID and proof of owner which I provided. Approach could be a little friendlier but that is difficult to quantify. Andrew quoted me $165 for one hour programming excluding the pair of keys and FOB. I told him that is the quote i got when I called but not excluding they keys. I asked how much everything is going to cost me. He went to the back to get pricing for the keys and the fob. Each key was $35($70 for a pair) and the fob $185 he said when he came back. I said I will get only one key( I would get a phone the next day to advise I can't have only one key. I have to get a pair which agreed). so, I told Andrew I have my fob with me so I don't need a new one at that exorbitant price. Then came the shocker-I have to pay $100 for shop supplies. I asked how can you justify $100 shop supplies for a $200 service?I asked him what are some of the shop supplies that will used on my vehicle to warrant $100. I got none. He insisted I have to either sign/agree to pay or I wouldn't get service. Convince me, I protested, how you can justifiably charge $100 for a job worth $200 for a key and one hour programming. Andrew plainly said he doesn't have to convince me. I even suggested shop supplies in the range of $20 to $30 is acceptable.He said either I agree to pay or I can go elsewhere. I then thought to myself briefly, to make a rational decision. Up to that point, I disregarded all sunken costs. If I had to tow my vehicle elsewhere, it would cost me more. The deal I got on the phone was good which is why i came to this dealer in the first place. But when you factor in the upselling and the overpriced so called shop supplies, I felt not happy to say the least. I agreed to pay $100 shop supplies anyway. I had to because i had no leverage to negotiate since I already towed my vehicle there and towing it to another dealer would cost me more. But clearly, I wasn't a happy customer. The next I tried to call Jeff Hodgson, the president for two reasons: 1. I wanted to know if $100 shop supplies for a $200 job was the norm in his dealer or whether I was being given a raw deal. Because if it was the norm and he could prove to me (Andrew couldn't) that that is a standard fee they charge everyone, I would oblige and pay. 2. If that was the norm, I wanted to know if it was a fair charge in his eyes or not. Because that is 50% of what the service costs(or would cost) As a businessman myself, I like fairness and above all, I like to treat my customers the way I like to be treated. Unfortunately, I couldn't get through to Jeff Hodgson. So I decided to pay whatever the bill comes to and may be write to Jeff Hodgson later. When I went to pick up my vehicle the next day, I waited in the service line. A lady asked if she can help me to which I replied "Yes, I am here to pick up my vehicle" Andrew, who was doing something on a till station said he would help me. He took me to the back to the cashier's desk, handed me a pair of keys together with my fob and said he would wave the $100 since this is the first time. while I appreciated the gesture, if I were him, I wouldn't even mention it in the first place specially since the vehicle was not even brought inside the shop.(I know so because the windshield was still completely covered in snow and it was in the same spot the tow truck dropped it) I tried to paint as fair a picture as possible of the encounter. I only bother writing reviews when I get either extremely good service in which case a write a glowing recommendation or when I feel service could really be improved so that everybody can get full value for what they bring to the table(customer and business alike) Abdirizak
Very poor customer service. I had my upper console lose its screws so when my truck was in for servicing I asked if they can fix it. They tried to charge me $200+ to fix it. I literally fixed it myself in 10 minutes. Popped it open re tightened the screws and done. Ill never go back
What a pleasure to deal with after some of the experiences I have had with other dealerships. Danny, the salesperson treated us, the customer the way we hope everyone would. His attitude and the manner with which he dealt with us must be a great asset to the dealership.When we were in a bind and needed temporary transportation he immediately loaned us a courtesy vehicle. This dealership offers no pressure in making a sale and the paperwork end of it is done quickly and efficiently.We would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a vehicle.If it was possible, I would give this dealership a ten star rating!
I was going to book my car in for service and needed a loaner car which is supposed to be available to me according to my service contract. I was told that the practice of loaners was canceled due to Covid but they are still offering shuttle service as well as test drives. Makes no sense and I have purchased 2 new vehicles from this dealership and now they change the rules without informing their customers. I'm sure the price I paid for extended warranty had the cost of a loaner built in. With no satisfaction from the service department I have no other option than to express my dissatisfaction and resolve to never deal with this dealership again and to express my concerns to general motors
I bought my new GMC Sierra here and am very happy with the product and the service. Any issues that came up while making the deal for my truck were corrected fast and efficiently. I've been dealing with Ron Hodgson for the past 6 years with my previous Chevy Suburban and have never had any issues with the staff. They are all very friendly and the facility is kept clean and comfortable.

Bought a truck at RH in 2019. Overall very happy with the truck and the service. Just had it detailed (May 2020) and it looks incredible. James (used department) was extremely helpful in making the sale and the detailing happen.

Great Service Department. Knowledgeable Service advisors along with great service technicians. Rapid Lube available if your vehicle requires an oil change with minimum inconvenience. With their diligence have never had to call roadside assistance while on any road trip! Not bad for a 26 year history of having my vehicles serviced there! If you are someone that has moved here and were used to the Service Station personal service this is the place to come. Your vehicle is only as good as your service team and how you allow them to service your vehicle. I call it my bumper to bumper place to go From Front of the dealership to Rear. You always finish first here!!!
Was recently in a bind with my 2013 Equinox with a bad power steering leak. Usually service my vehicle at Westgate Chev due to the close proximate to my work. They along with three other dealerships were booking service a week out. When I contacted Ron Hodgson on service availability they were able to squeeze me in the same day. Once there service adviser Lucas Cebryk was a pleasure to deal with. He tells it like it is but doesn't try and push unnecessary repairs as he understands where the customer is coming from and truly puts himself in your shoes. They wanted to keep my vehicle overnight just to verify that the leak was fixed and hooked me up with a loaner vehicle. I didn't mind the extra time as they wanted to make sure the problem was truly fixed to avoid a return trip. Exceptional customer service and even tho it's a bit out of my way have earned my bi yearly maintenance and any other service work. Great work Service Team!!
I just bought a used 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt from them and I was blown away by their service. Mikko and another team member (who I sadly forgot the name of, but hopefully he knows I'm talking about him and will find out his name in a reply) greatly helped me out and found me a great car for a great deal! Mikko especially was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! They also made sure the vehicle was in perfect shape detailing it, replacing the windshield, and fixing the speakers and lights for no added price. Couldn't recommend them any more and I will be back next time I need to buy a car!
Service department is in shambles. When I got quoted new tires they were significantly more expensive then anywhere. Wanted 3M done? Again significantly more expensive. Was told they price match when given pricing which meant to me they price their product higher then anyone. Took multiple visits to dealership just to have my 3M finished properly. Don't worry they said heres a free oil change for all the issues. Now today I needed service done. Couldn't get a shuttle when booking the service appointment. Wasn't provided any options for getting to work. Then I was told I needed to pay $165 x 4 just for diagnosing some issues. One was a recurring issue they have failed to fix. One was a light on my dash. No consideration provided for being slightly over my extended warranty KM's from working out of town. Service department lacks any customer service aspect. I'd avoid this service department unless you like over paying for your services/products.
It was great experience buying a Toyota from them. James is awesome. He goes above and beyond to get a car that fit your needs. He is extremely helpful, friendly and respectful. My salesman was great, financing Was top notch, but the service department needs to give their head a shake. Waited over 2.5 hrs to be told my car wasn’t done when all it needed was a tire rotate and am now finding out the winter tires they sold me came with the wrong lug nuts. Won’t be servicing another vehicle there but will buy one from there.
