I called around and they were the cheapest to do an insurance inspection on out of the five I called. Shuttle service is really convenient. It looks clean inside the customer area as did the shop. Now the thing I'm upset about. I was told they wouldn't sign off on my insurance inspection without replacing the rear swaybar bushings which were "worn out." Well, I said I'd do them myself and take it back to them to have a look and sign off on the inspection. When I said that on the phone i could hear the guy on the line deflate with disappointment and reluctantly, he agreed. Upon checking the car myself, I found no play in the bushings when applying force to them and I even went as far as driving over ungulating roads surfaces and confimed that there was no knocking or clunking from the rear suspension. Once I removed the bushings I noticed, the rubber had no cracks, it wasn't brittle and, it was the same shape and size as the replacements. I had to change perfectly good bushings for these people to sign off on my car. Sounds like they were hoping I wasn't savy enough to do them myself so they could charge me the hour they quoted me and do them in less than the 30 minutes it took me to do them on the driveway. Bushings are gravy on a car like this and take no time to do on a hoist, how many others have been quoted huge amounts of money for jobs that don't require the amount of time quoted or are not necessary. I feel like they held me hostage... Not happy with that.

I took my 2016 Cadillac in for a "buyer mechanical inspection" on the 5th April 2021. The report indicated that the "cruise control was not working properly", I took the vehicle the day after to Wolfe Cadillac on the west end and the diagnostics revealed that there was nothing wrong with the cruise control, I subsequently emailed the report to Richard Sweet (Service Manager) up to the date of writing, no acknowledgement, no apology for the error. This business is AMA approved, seems a bit suspect to me. Please conduct your due diligence before proceeding. Apparently, the owner got very offended by my review of his establishment and decided to claim " sore loser" on my behalf, never once did he concede that the independent 3rd party verification refuted what nonsense he wrote on the report, nor that I paid for this erroneous report because I wanted to protect the buyer. Just focus on the facts, forget about your big ego! support of local business is overrated.

Brought my car in for a tire swap (remove the winter wheels and put on the all season wheels) at their great advertised price (~$30). When I came to pick up the vehicle they advised me that the right rear upper ball joint was very loose and the entire upper control arm needed replacing and quoted me ~$750 and also an alignment would be required. They said that the car was not safe to drive until this was repaired. I found this very odd as my car had just been in for its regular scheduled service (every 6,000 km) at my regular service centre and they had done a 51 point inspection (including a check of the suspension). I took my vehicle back to my regular service centre and had them check this specific issue. They quoted me ~$400, IF it needed repair but guess what ... everything checked out completely fine and no repairs were required. Hmmm, guess I won't be giving this tire my shop business ever again.

I have brought a couple of vehicles here to get fixed last winter, both had electronics/electrical issues. Now, I know for a fact how hard electronics or electrical issues can be, especially when they are intermittent problems. Mark is their electronic guru and let me tell you, he found the issue on both vehicles. They even went out of their way to find good used parts to replace the bad ones instead of just getting new ones that are so expensive. Having options like that are great for the customers. Well done, keep up the great work.

100 % recommend! Richard is a small based business in St. Albert that offers all things mechanics! Today was my first day there as I was recommended. I called at 1230 and they got me in at 1. What started out as an oil change, really turned into a happy decision to get quoted on new tires. I've been hearing lots of noise in the back of my car, as well my maintenance light came on. When I asked how long the tire process will take, I was given a shuttle van to help me get around until my car was ready. After I came back, paid, a car wash was included with my purchase. Which was awesome as I wanted to get a car wash. I did have questions about the billing after I got to go through everything, Richard was awesome to help me with the answers I was looking for. After driving back home 4 hours out of town, I felt like I had such a fresh ride! My car is a 2004 honda civic. It felt like a beater before and came out feeling much safer. I do have a bit of a pull on my front right end that was not there before and I called to talk about it. Luckily I'm coming back this week and they have scheduled me in to take a quick look. I am often skeptical about mechanics and have a few of them in my life on a personal level , so when it comes to wanting to have someone to trust on hand during my travels is a relationship that I value and would love to continue to be a repeat customer as I pass through town! They take care of their customers here and have a good energy to them! I've been really happy to share my experience and now my boyfriend wants to being in his vehicle. Thank you so much!

Had the heater core replaced on my 2000 Silverado which is a big job (the whole dashboard has to come out). The cost of the job was pretty much exactly what I was quoted. Excellent service, loaner vehicle provided, highly recommend. They even recharged my AC at no cost. They offer a loyalty program for oil changes. Do 5 oil changes and the 6 th one is free. It's a good deal, about every 2 years we get a free oil change. It's fast too, under an hour and we are done.

ST. Albert-based, Gate Avenue Service, is the place to go when you need work done on your vehicle. Friendly and positive staff, fair and reasonable pricing, a clean facility and great customer service is what I have found every time I visit. Today I had my winter tires mounted on the car - my winter's were already on rims and the price was less than $30. The shop's courtesy car driver, Kyla, and front-end man Chase, were very helpful and took the extra steps required to put my vehicle in good order. I had a few stripped lug nuts that had to be ordered and replaced; they arrived quickly and wait time was minimal. Kyla took the time to go out and sweep my car off (first day of snow was quite wet and heavy) and drove it to me as I waited by the door. Super service - greatly appreciated! Thank you!
