Wish I could give them more stars cause I really love southside.. but I brought my car in for my 1230 appointment at 12. And they didn't get to it till 4pm. The guy drove it for like 10 minutes and told me to come back when it does it again.. I was not impressed.

I would leave zero stars if possible. I bought a Jeep a while ago from here, the day after bringing home the radio broke and a few weeks after that the vehicle started shutting off while driving. I couldn’t break or steer, just sit there and hope it doesn’t hit anyone while travelling at full speed. I brought the vehicle in multiple times and they couldn’t find anything and sent me on my way. This was happening frequently and incredibly dangerous and nobody took it seriously. I left a poor review on their Facebook page and they told me they wouldn’t see me if I didn’t take it down. I didn’t and was refused service, this place is trash.

I had been waiting 4+ months for some recalled parts on my car to come in at another dealer. I finally gave up on them and went to Southside. The catalytic converter I wasn't overly concerned about but the seat belt control module that controls my airbags??? 4 days after walking into their dealership my car is safe for myself and grandbabies once again! Bought a 2020 ram 1500 from southside dodge the salesman was great to deal with. He wasn’t pushy, he fought to get me the best deal he could. As far as service goes they are great, only thing I would say negative is that they need to communicate to costumers a little better when problems arise. For example. I took my old 01 Dodge Ram 2500 in for a oil change, alignment and tire rotation. Forget how much I was quoted. Just under $300 I think. Like $280. I picked up the truck and the bill was $478. And got a story that the tech broke a wheel stud when removing the tire and he had to spend 1.5 hours removing it and getting a new one in. If I would have got that call when it happened I would have told them To leave the broken stud, I have extra wheel studs at home, I am mechanically inclined and I would do it myself.

Most of the dealing on my vehicle with Nicole and Kyle was by phone. Everything went smoothly and they both were very helpful and knowledgeable. Good service. But the lady who I booked my appointment with lied to me over the phone. But this was cleared up once I got to the shop. Seems they need better training or just say they don’t know if they don’t. Not impressed. Also very overpriced, 50 dollars for half an hour of work seems a bit high. Along with them taking 15 minutes to actually start on my truck then going over by another 10 minutes.

Sales department took great care of my needs and actually helped alot when it came to buying my truck. I didnt feel pressured into the purchase but after the sale I still felt great and no buyers remorse. Payments where laid out clear and no hidden fees. The problem I had that's holding back a star is the service department needs alot of work! I booked in a simple job and it turned into a total of 2 visits with a combined 6 hours wait to get the vehicle done. Something that's taken other places a hour or less. Sales is a solid 5 out of 5 service is a 1 star out of 5.

Recently bought a new Dodge Ram from Alex at southside dodge. I never felt more welcome at a car dealership before. Alex was very professional and would get all of our questions answered. They also gave me top dollar for my trade in and threw in a great deal we couldn’t refuse. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and eager to help. Absolutely embarrassed by the level of service we received from the service department. My partner brought my 2016 Jeep renegade in for a $99 brake service as the car’s brakes have been squeaking for a couple months. A service that has been advertised by the dealership since September of 2017. The service advisor was unaware of what this service was and said she had never seen it before and suggested it was a promotion from last month so a picture was shown to her. She did agree to honour the price so that was appreciated. They brought the car in, and it was returned about 2 1/2 hours later. When driving the vehicle home the brakes are clearly making a louder squeak than before it was “serviced”. I phoned the dealership and spoke with the service advisor and asked if all four brakes were indeed serviced and she said only the rear brakes were done as the service is only for a “set” of either front or rear brakes not all four (also regardless of this the brakes are indeed louder). Interesting how she came up with this seeing as she seemed to have never heard of this promotion at the beginning. Also nowhere in the ad directly from their Facebook page does it say this. Upon me asking if the tech indeed cleaned debris, lubricated and took a road test (as this is NOT shown on any paperwork received) her response was “he should have” this does not instil much confidence. She did offer that I could bring the car back but said they can’t look at it today and can’t guarantee it wouldn’t cost anything which is quite sad considering I’ve already paid for the service. Edit: Just to be clear about their response, no one from this company has been in contact with me since writing this review.

They are easy to work with. They did manage to fix most of what I needed fixed in a timely manner. Unfortunately the person that deals with the issues I was having was off that week so they only did what they could. Glad they did that much atleast, other dealerships weren't as helpful.

I live in Calgary where there aren't great deals on Ram trucks. I looked in Edmonton where prices are better and visited 2 dealerships there. I didn't find what I was looking for and was a little put off by the sales people I interacted with. So I kept looking. I found an unbelievable deal on a Ram Rebel that had it all. I emailed and spoke on the phone with Sheldon from Southside. This lead to a drive up to Red Deer to test drive this vehicle. Sheldon was easy going and didn't pressure me whatsoever. The manager was exactly the same. I got an overall great vibe from everyone in the building. It seems like such a happy place. I didn't like the truck, I loved it. At the price they were offering, I just knew it was the best deal around. It had everything I wanted. There was room for negotiations and that ran smoothly too. These guys are top notch. I will always recommend Southside Dodge to everyone I know. Its really the best kept secret in Alberta. Sheldon is down to Earth and nothing like what you might find in the bigger cities. I have always had beaters or older vehicles, and finally my husband and I bought a brand new Dodge Grand caravan and it has had more problems then all my older vehicles !!! I'm actually very disappointed, even rust forming on the engine hood two times! The transmission leaks , on the passenger side of the vehicle was blowing air so hot that it almost melted my dashboard, also the tire sensor's going on it twice and multiple other problems. I will never purchase another vehicle from this place again.

Very friendly service crew. Have always treated me good. And I have usually been able to get the car in for service same day or next day when I call. They even drive me home and come back and get me when the car is ready. They make sure that I know about things that I didn't notice needed fixing when I pick the car up. And don't pressure you to get it done right then. The only problem that I have is that the mechanics need to try harder to not get the inside of the vehicle dirty. That is why I only gave 4/5 stars.

I shouldn't leave any star they tried to make almost 1000.000 off of me when I took my jeep there. I am glad I am smart and know enough about my vehicle. My vehicle got checked there was told a list of problems. I took it to another mechanic and they told me that everything dodge told me is a money grab and my car needed nothing of the matter. If I fix what they say I will still have the same issue. So I paid almost 100 dollars to them to tell me a lie. So I will not be back at all.

Amazing sales team. UNREAL SERVICE. Steve went above and beyond to find me the truck I wanted. The closest model was in Manitoba and he made sure I got it! Excellent customer service at this dealership. They are quite happy to pick your vehicle up at your home and drop it back when the work is done, even if you are 20 minutes out of town. They seem to have a really good team effort going here. Any and all work performed has been completed in a timely fashion and the service writer does an excellent job in keeping me appraised of any issues arising from the service. So far the invoices have not given me a heart attack :)

This dealership allows their salespeople and finance managers to tack on thousands of dollars of bogus fees on their used vehicles. My wife had bought used car from them and was oblivious to this until I went through the purchase agreement myself. My wife (this was before we married) traded in a used Toyota and they "gave" her a $500 trade-in value but then turned around and charged her $3000 in bogus fees and a $500 admin fee. She was charged a $500 globali secure ride fee (???) and $2500 SERVICE FEE (for a used car on their lot, shouldn't this be built into the cost of the car?!?!?). If you like throwing your money in the trash then you should come here instead

Had my heater core and coolant reservoir replaced under warranty. Which also entailed a coolant flush. South side dodge delivered my truck to our home which I was grateful for. But when I drove it to work the next morning my truck said it was low on coolant. I work out of my truck so if I don’t have my truck I don’t work, so I had called in to mention I was really low on coolant and maybe they could drop a jug off for me. They had told me to just pop by and they would top it up. I don’t get into red deer till 6:00pm after work so I couldn’t make it in for quite some time. Eventually they had dropped a jug off at my house which was very nice of them and I do appreciate that. Today I added some to my reservoir, I added 3/4 of the jug!! It was that low. I can’t believe they would send a vehicle out like that. Oh and to top it off, my remote start system now doesn’t work. (Aftermarket)????

I had originally checked with a couple of different dealerships 4 quotes on potential service. All of them were roughly the same although southside's ShopRite was a little lower than others. But what I liked was at their staff wasn't immediately dismissive when I was asking questions about warranty. Not only did they give the impression that they could and would help, but they delivered. Very happy with my experience with their service department, but in addition to that while I was speaking to the sales department about the possibility of rolling into a new vehicle, I fell today answer my questions honestly and we're on the same page and we're not pressuring me into anything. I not only am very pleased with their service department, but their sales department is who I will be going to when it's time for a new vehicle.

Easy going experience, good communication anything the sales person didn't know the manager was there with answers. The sales person was not pushy and took the time to look at several vehicles with me before I came to a final desicion. I needed a few things added to the truck which were not originally in the pricing and they added no problem no extra cost on my end. Do not take your vehicle here for service. Absolutely terrible service centre! The people who work here have no customer service skills at all. Brought my truck here trying to get my back window replaced when it malfunctioned and shattered itself all over my dogs in the back seat. Took pictures of it when it happened and texted them to someone at the service department and was told they would talk to Chrysler warranty about it. That was it. No phone call back or anything, nothing at all. That's the consideration they give when something completely unsafe happens with my vehicle. Thanks for all the help and wasting my time. Edit: I've had to downgrade my rating as I've had continuous problems with the vehicle I bought from Southside. 2 weeks after I purchased the battery died, chalked this up as general issues that are to be expected. 90 days after purchase I've had to replace both front control arms due to extremely excessive play. Considering there was a "safety checklist" Southside put the vehicle through before purchasing, this is quite disappointing. I will be reluctant to buying here again due to the quality of the vehicle sold to me.

Not worth the time nor star. This would have been my 6th vehicle between referrals and personal buy in last 10 years. Between the salesman Steve not enabling a test drive due to "unsure of how much will be financed" to finance mgr Colton's uncertain practice of financing practice. This was a 2 week ordeal with lack of return phone calls. This place has gone downhill and very disappointed with lack of service. Note: within a day I had approval and truck I wanted from competitor dealership with also a very good finance option! Well the staff was nice. I took my dodge journey in for a tire pressure sensor on the drivers side rear wheel. Cost me $135. Thats fine. I drove to the north end of town and just before I parked the two sensors on the passenger side went out. Seems a little weird. Feels like a waste of $135. I'm not throwing any more money at a yellow light on the dash. Honestly I feel like that system should be disabled in all vehicles unless someone asks for it. Sales was very good and helpful over the phone. Things looked good prior to traveling to the dealership from Sherwood Park. Was a little put off by the fact that they involved multiple sales staff for no real reason. Was less then happy with the truck we'd drove down to view and I voiced it. Was told that my trade had been miss valued and I would receive less after I said I didn't feel the truck we had come to look at was as prestine as I was told on the phone. Salesman seemed to know very little about the truck, like why it had a commercial inspection tag on it or what the mystery switch on the dash was. We left less then happy and purchased same model a year newer with less mileage from a dodge dealer in Edmonton for a little less difference. Miraculously my trade was valued about $3500 higher an hour North. Like I said were really good over the phone but sleazy in person. That being said the salesman I had over the phone was a completely different person then the one at the dealership as he was on holidays. No need to sight names reading reviews some give the same sales staff positive and she me negative. To each his own but no I would not recommend dealings at south side Good luck

June 2019 Had brought my Jeep Cherokee in because of a rubbing/pulling feeling when turning. I took a mechanic for a ride and he also felt the problem. The following morning I got a call saying that they could not find anything wrong, so I go back up and take another tech for a ride and showed him how the problem is still there. Then they tell me there is some recall for the Jeep, they change out the driver’s front side cv axle (i believe this is major work for something with less than 30,000km) and tell me they have to wait for the passenger side one to be ordered, might have to wait until august for it to arrive and did a horrible job of explaining what the recall was for. Mid July 2019 take Jeep back in to get the passenger side axle installed. Go pick up my Jeep and was told that yes, it is all fixed and they could not hear any problem. First of all, it was something that you felt and heard; needless to say the problem is still there. I have now taken the Jeep to Go Dodge where I bought it from (they acknowledge there is still the same issue) and I will see if they can do better. I will never deal with South side again or possibly buy another Chrysler product. Terrible service and lack of caring or compassion shown by the service manager or whatever position she is. Save yourself a headache go somewhere else or even better buy a Ford or Chevy.

Southside went above and beyond again...Went for an oil change yesterday that went very smooth. They noticed that my wife's 2018 Jeep Wrangler was leaking coolant from the rad. They scheduled an appointment for today April 8th. They sent someone to my office to pick up the Jeep this morning and a few hours later they dropped the Jeep back at my office all fixed. They do a oil change on our vehicle and they install the air filter backwards causing dirt and debris to get Into the MAF sensor causing the vehicle to shake on start up and randomly shut off we bring it to the attention of the service manager and get a response of "I'm not dealing with it" leaving us with a 1000.00 dollar bill that they should be paying for. Response to owner: it doesn't matter if was an employee or not. The fact that your not going to rectify your mistakes just goes to show what kind of business you guys are running

Been going to Go Dodge on gasoline alley since I bought my truck. Have to get oil changes and tire rotations done as per warranty. Horrible service!!! Was told that if I needed a loaner during service I would be provided one. I call and make an appointment usually at 9am. It takes anywhere from 3 - 4 hrs. No loaner vehicle. So I either sit there or get a ride back to the 98 units I manage as I am constantly busy with viewings at 5 different locations, move in's and outs, going to do bank deposits, going to the office and dealing with tenants maintainence concerns. All on foot!!! Back and forth. Decided to go to South Dodge and they were amazing!!!! Had me in and out within 1-1/2 hrs Staff was excellent. All polite and had smiles. Will definitely be using their services from now on. Thanks ???? So happy ????

Bud and Colton were so great to work with! We weren't looking forward to the vehicle buying process and the dreaded salesman tactics but Southside was a completely different experience. There was absolutely no pressure, we laughed and had fun, they had so much inventory to pick from, answered all of our questions, even gave us some buying and financing tips, found us a great interest rate, got everything done super fast and we drove a beautiful vehicle home the same day. I had just left from another dealership in Red Deer very frustrated as the salesman was not listening to what I had wanted for a vehicle and the price range I needed to be in, they were very pushy and we're trying to sell me a vehicle way over my budget and without features I was asking for. My friend suggested we stop by Southside Dodge to have a look around. The staff at Southside Dodge were all very friendly. The sales showed me some vehicles in my budget with the features I wanted without trying to make me get to buy the most expensive one on the lot. They walked me through my options and answered all of the questions I had. I will be recommending them to others!

Update... appreciate effort by Rahul to reach me and follow up, however end result was no resolution and so no change in my dissapointment for lack of support by dealership on this well known issue with Dodge trucks, and a consistent annual repeated challenge over the time I have owned it. Update... received response, was told to email to a provided email address, but I get bounceback email that says I was Blocked from emailing the email I was provided. Dodge truck, air suspension system failed when extreme cold weather occurred, took in to dealer be fixed. Have had vehicle over 4 winters, same system fails each winter in cold weather, so I keep going back to this location for it to be fixed. Positive... Kim in Service was great, friendly, helpful, good with explanations, timely with efforts, good customer service. Disappointment... well known issue, system fails each winter in same conditions, fixed multiple times before during my ownership, yet I paid for this fix out of my own pocket. Have worked as a Territory Parts/Service Manager for a different well known international company, and this would not have happened in that world. Thank you very much Kim, but I will now question why I should come back to this location for future such fixes.

I’ve had dealings with south side for years, service has always been good I cannot take that away. The best part about going there in my experiences was personal, I went with friends to buy new and used vehicles from one man specifically Shaun Jardine. The man is a great salesman! He develops a relationship with the customer, to a point he becomes a friend. I go there for service and spend time visiting with him when I’m not even there for that. He follows up and is honest about the product he sells and puts that specific person into the right match. I recently learned that he is no longer there, and wasn’t by his choice. That’s unfortunate and the dealership I’m sure will suffer, I know I’m not happy about this also know I’m not gonna be the only south side customer not pleased...

My visit to Southside was very pleasant. I just previously had gone to another dealership where they had a sale and had spent 3 hrs ending up with nothing and being very frustrated. I have purchased from Southside before and should have returned to begin with for my current vehicle search. Salesman was awesome, he found a suitable vehicle within minutes. Finance guy Kyle was excellent, he dealt with our applications professionally and even though it was after closing, he didn't rush to get us out so he could go home. I would definitely refer someone to come here.

Not even worth one star. DO NOT GO HERE. Service team is not trust worthy and will scam you. All they want is your money and do not care about your vehicle at all. Brought my vehicle in perfect running condition and they brought it back to me with engine light on and more problems I have EVER had with this vehicle and will NOT fix it. Then on top of it all they are VERY rude and do NOT want to help. They should be shut down for the kind of service they give to people. I WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE IT IS AWFUL! I would recommend everyone to take there business else where.
