Took car in to get a leaking fuel line fixed. I told them exactly where the problem was and said it only did it when the car sat at -27 or colder so they probably wouldn’t be able to reproduce the issue. After they had it for a whole and calling me twice to ask if it was leaking in other places and telling them again to fix where I told them to they only cleaned out some dirt and put it back together. They said it didn’t leak but if it didn’t leak when you brought it in the shop why would it leak after? Just a case of not listening to the costumer. Did get half the bill refunded as a credit but like I will ever use that now after that experience.

Last weekend I made a trip to PG and set up to test drive a Subaru only to find that they were closed on Saturday! I brought a 1993 VW Eurovan diesel vehicle to them to time in an injector pump and when I got it back it was not running properly. It had a lack of power from previously. I was told it should "work itself out" I took this in faith and left on a 400Km journey. I got not even 50Km and the motor started to BANG BANG BANG. I pushed in the clutch and it died. I am told they have nothing to do with this. I find that hard to believe as it was running fine before I had to get a leak in my pump fixed. I will NOT recommend this shop for servicing.

However I feel like I needed to write a review after reading the disgusting comments from Tanya MacDonald in regards to "foreign worker" and his attitude. I've had nothing but positive experiences with this dealership (including said worker), they gave me a fair price and even if its not a steal, I know that at least some of my money is going back in the community. We're all facing challenges during these times, but assuming that the business got rid of everyone and kept a foreign worker based on the colour of his skin is just classless. My fear with most dealer service departments is to be overcharged and to be told that unnecessary work needs to be done. This has never happened here, in fact, over the 8 years that I have gone to them, the opposite has happened. They have done work and occasionally charged me less than expected, for reasons they explained. They are honest and I appreciate that.

I was happy with the salesman but that’s where the satisfaction with them ends. At the time I bought my car, I also bought a remote starter. They said they would call back within a couple of weeks when it was in. They never called back, so I called them and it turns out they hadn’t even ordered it yet. So they did then. They didn’t call when it was in, I had to call and follow up. The remote starter didn’t work in my car for some reason. When they installed it the car would no longer start so they removed it and gave my car back. They said they were contacting technical support and would call when they knew more. I never heard from them so I called m them about a month later and they said they hadn’t heard back from technical support. They refunded my money for the starter and said I would still get it once they sorted out the issue, for all my inconvenience. It’s months later and I still haven’t heard anything from them. Terrible customer service. I highly recommend you go elsewhere and I will not deal with them anymore.

We bought our Jetta from Hub City Motors, and I intitially thought it was a good experience. Our Salesman specifically told me all accessories purchases at the time of sale were covered under a lifetime warranty. A couple of years after I bought the car, the bug deflector cracked. When I took it in, the parts / service manager told me the deflectors weren't covered under warranty. I contacted the Canadian distributor for the bug deflector and was told there was full replacement warranty, and that Hub City Motors knew that. When I went back, the parts / service manager claimed to have not known there was a lifetime warranty, and still made me pay postage on the replacement deflector before they would cover it. After that, I took it in for a recall issue and when it came back the plastic engine cover was cracked and what appeared to be hot glued together. I took it back, and the parts / service manager did give me a different used one, but it should have never left their shop like that. Last year we had rust issues on the trunk and outside of one fender (actually inside both fenders were rusted and rotten but I did not know that at he time). The car still had a couple of months of paint warranty coverage. VW Canada covered the trunk, but they would not cover the front fender problems. VW Canada stated mud flaps were the cause, and voided the warranty. The mud flaps Hub City Motors installed on the vehicle while it was in their yard, before it was ever test driven voided the warranty on the fenders. The salesman at the time of purchase told me they install mud flaps on every car that they sell in Prince George. What he didn't tell me was it was going to void the paint warranty on the fenders. Beware, make sure everything is in writing from the salespeople, because in my experience with Hub City Motors, they will not honour what the salespeople will tell you after the sale is complete.

I have honestly never dealt with such an amazing dealership in Prince George. We’ve had them all, every brand of car you can think of, and by far Hub City Volkswagen is the best! Such a high quality luxury vehicle and excellent service to match. The process of buying a vehicle was simple and not forced at all. I’m incredibly picky when buying a vehicle and test drove every make, model and trim level in town before going to VW. All those dealerships products were okay and the staff friendly but I had been there before, and the service after the sale was far from amazing. I can SO comfortably say I made the best decision in April by far when choosing my 2019 Tiguan R-Line. My exterior is perfect, interior is exactly what I wanted, even down to every last feature I wanted, I got! The vehicle had all those one (extremely materialistic) wants and needs I wanted that completely checked everything off my list, instead of having to improvise. Matt in service and Braden in parts are incredible and both of them are so knowledgeable, making that part of the dealership, awesome! Stacey is amazing and was a big part of the sale, as she had the same vehicle as I bought and answered SO many of my questions. Sunny, one of the owners, was so personable and was present during the entire sale! All down to John who sold me the car and did my financing for the new SUV-VW! All between financing clients, John helped me pick my colour, model and everything. Which leads me to one of the best parts of this dealership is the fact when you go in there, they continue to earn your business! You’re not just a sale, they take care of you during service. To this day Sunny and all those people mentioned ask how my day is, how everything’s going and genuinely care about what I have to say. This Volkswagen dealership here in Prince George, BC has a lot of beautiful cars on the lot. One of the most interesting vehicle that caught our eye was the 2021 VW Atlas V6 SUV. The Atlas drives very smooth and is a very luxurious vehicle. The owner Sunny, has been going above and beyond of helping us! I highly recommend Hub City Volkswagen!

I HIGHLY recommend that all of Prince George residents avoid Hub city Volkswagen for any service on your vehicle. I recently took my car in for an alignment from them after changing out my suspension. After paying $150 ($20-50 higher than market standard) i left the dealership with a hard pull to the left on my car. They even noted the pull at the dealership. After taking it to canadian tire for an alignment check, they confirmed that it was still way out! This included my camber, and toe. I have been fighting with them to try and get it re-aligned which is maybe 40 minutes labor for them, and they refuse to honor their service. Accusing me of putting the alignment back out my self. In a separate incident with the same company they forgot to put the codder pin in the tie rod end nut, and 2 days later when i pulled the tire off, the tie rod end nut was 3/4 of the way off!! Had I been on the highway when this happened and my tire fallen off it could have been fatal.

I would give this review a 5 star for my experience earlier in the year. My husband and I had two wonderful women help us, answer all our questions, they both exceeded our expectations. Recently when returning to purchase my new vehicle, we were shocked to discover all the sales staff are gone except for their foreign worker. We went to Hubcity because they are locally owned and big supporters in our community, with the intention of keeping money in our economy. We thought it would be a seamless transaction as we already trusted the sales lady. However, both my husband and myself found the fellow rather arrogant, we ended up leaving the dealership with a bad taste in our mouths. Its shameful the owners have little regard for their staff, and I certainly do not buy the covid layoff excuse either as the dealership was rather busy! Us old fogies would like to deal with who we already know and trust. I am the proud owner of my new cross sport thanks to a quick trip to the okanagan. If you are in the market for a VW, I recommend you head south!

Update: the owner reached out less than an hour after I posted this review and apologized. He gave me a free full car detailing to use whenever I please. Was very kind and apologetic, definitely made me feel better about the whole experience! Most of my experiences have been average I’d say. However, my last one was really not enjoyable. The lady I spoke to on the phone was quite accusatory and argumentative, saying the reason my ignition was broken was MY fault because I put WD40 in it and that they couldn’t do anything about it because of that. I had problems with this part before so we used the lubricant as a last resort to try and get the key to turn one final time before we decided it needed a tow. I was also told it was going to cost X amount for parts and labour by the service manager, and when I noticed it was more than 100$ more when I went to pay she argued that that the amount I was told was only for the part, which was incorrect as the service manager fixed the mistake. There was a few other things that happened that really made my experience quite negative, which is really disappointing because I see all of these other positive reviews. I just wish I had received the same treatment and customer service as others seem to have had.

We showed up to Hub City for the first time last weekend wanting to poke around and check out their vehicles. I was fully expecting to be swarmed by sharks when we first got there, as that's always the way it seems to be when you visit a dealership. But I couldn't have been more wrong. Hub City was excellent! Rich and John were very accommodating, friendly, personable, and above all, genuine! A great experience from start to finish. Would absolutely recommend and will be going there in the future. And we LOVE our new Tiguan!!! Thanks Hub City!!

I may or may have not gotten ripped off. To extrapolate: I got a glow plug replacement, and ended up getting talked into getting all 4 of them replaced. I was told later by someone that I trust that you shouldn't bother doing this as they rarely go out. Of course, the cost of doing each is quite high as well. I also lost 3 perfectly good glow plugs going by this logic. Otherwise, everything else about the service was spot on. Just a warning to anyone who is car-illiterate to have someone that is easily accessible who can give you a second opinion (Particularly when your car is in the middle of being operated on and you receive a call to make on the spot decisions)

She listened to our concerns about the car and our budget and dealt with each item in a methodical and quick manner. Even though we could see that Stacey and all the other staff were very busy they spent as much time with us as we needed to feel comfortable with our purchase. Brought my older Volvo in for a four wheel alignment. Price was reasonable, it was scheduled quickly and done right. Car now tracks perfectly and the steering wheel is straight ahead when the car is traveling straight ahead. They provided me a copy of the before and after settings and there was many adjustments made. Staff is friendly and I would not hesitate to return. That was a year ago at service. Im not sure I trust the sales department today. They have a 2015 Used BMW M online no pictures and no real defining details under $15000, I wanted to find out more because any M under 15 sounds suspicious. I went by I looked through the lot and no BMW. So I asked sales guy about the used BMW online, what BMW he said how much was it? like he didn't know what BMW I was talking about. This is a very small dealer that has one BMW on their page. He said oh that BMW, thats a motorbike. I said well that's kind of crooked your a VW dealer listing a motorcycle without a picture or any defining details in the description and it is labeled something that is easily mistaken for the BMW M series of cars. He didn't seem to care and walked away. Just be honest and tell people what you are selling online.

Great service in a locally owned and operated dealership. I've used their cleaning and detailing services a few times now and wow am I impressed! Driving a 10 year old vehicle I wasn't sure if a detailing would really do much....and I was wrong! My vehicle looked brand new inside and out. I'll definitely be going back. On top of that my brother was in need of a delivery location for a new vehicle and even though it wasn't a VW they were open to facilitating it for him. It really showed us that this dealership values building relationships regardless of the "business" side of things...very refreshing attitude these days. Overall top quality and I'd highly recommend them to my family and friends.
