I cant say enough of City Motors, the Owner, Rob, and everyone that works there. My old 82 Dodge Campervan broke down, twice. Once en route to Texada and once on the way back. I know, its crazy. The trip kinda sucked because of the major issues that happened with the van. We stayed in hotels and ate take out. The two issues were show stoppers. I couldnt drive the van. From everything from both tows to the work done, They put a huge bright spot in between some really bad situations that me and my family had to deal with. I would recommend City Motors to anyone that needs any work done. On the last break down, when I went to pick up my van. They even offered me an amazing looking hamburger fresh of their BBQ. But by that time, I had no appetite and was exhausted and just wanted to get the family home. They even printed out some BCAA info for me to reclaim some money due to the break down. Amazing auto shop. They went above and beyond. It was also the Canada Day long weekend, which is the busiest weekend including the shop. They were all so busy running around helping other clients. Amazing group of staff.

When the local dealer couldn't schedule my car in a reasonable time to replace the fuel pump City Motors towed it to their shop, changed the pump and the control module in quick time and threw in a free diagnosis for a trouble light on my 2nd car.

Very rude. They are hooked up with the RCMP and tow cars from traffic stops to their yard(compound)and once there and under lock and key, set the price to get it back at whatever they please... and make it near impossible to get your belongings out of it . If not for having been forced to go there, trust me when I say.. "I never would!!" Aweful place with aweful people.

Hours of operation could be longer and 7 days a week but the owners and staff have been nothing but completely helpful from inspections to repairs and propane. I think they are great people.

We were visting from out of town and our car died in Powell River. Called BCAA and City Motors is their only contractor in Powell River. Christian called and gave an ETA when he would be there. He came out and was very helpful and friendly. Towed our car late on Sunday and told us to call at 9am on Monday. So I called at 9am and talked to Rob who was also very friendly over the phone. Rob listened to the issues we had with the car and I mentioned that we were supposed to leave by Friday. He looked at it right away and called back to say it was the alternator. It was fixed by 3pm that day. Went to pick it up and the staff we dealt with were very friendly. We were very happy with the service and outcome!

Had a horrible experience at City Motors in Powell River. My car was towed there from the ferry with a dead alternator. They sent the car somewhere else without even telling me and when I asked about my car the receptionist was incredibly rude to me and didn't want to give me the name or number of where they sent my car!! When I came to pick my car up on Saturday the shop was closed and there was huge scratches all over the hood of my car which they said "they got the car like that". Just brutal. $300 ferry wait and tow fee $300 alternator and god knows how much to get the 3 foot scratches out of my car. Small town robbery!

Place had my transmission for 2 months. Kept giving me the run around on why it wasn't getting done. Brought it to a place in the Vancouver and they had it done in a week. Only reason not a one star is cause buddy was having family problems, shoulda just told me to take it back instead of waste my damn time.
